Finds himself in the lizard crosshairs after finally setting up his. And then rises like a phoenix from the Ashes, all among a variety of other things for the next two hours.

So sit back, get your favorite drink, light up a cigar, and join as we pair 10 year aged widow Janey Bourbon with the My Father, number four, a beautiful new world, Lance Cerro [00:01:00] tonight from my father, the number four, A 38 ring gauge cigar by seven and a half inches long. We have not smoked many landeros on the pot.

Actually, this may be the first landero we've ever done in what? 60 something episodes. It's a beautiful vill. It's a beautiful cigar. Oh yeah. Now, what's interesting about us doing this tonight is I certainly given our experience with the judge, which was I think early 21, we did that cigar. Yeah. Given our experience with that, I certainly would never have brought this to the table.

I don't think any of us would had rooster not completely fallen in love with the cigar. Wow. Take it easy then. , you've been calling. It's okay. You've been calling it a fundi. I said it has

**Rooster:** some fundi notes,

**Gizmo:** but that's a pretty strong end endorse. Although I wouldn't remember what a fundi taste

**Bam Bam:** I'm expecting.

I'm expecting

**Gizmo:** I haven't.

**Bam Bam:** I

**Pagoda:** don't have any. I hope it doesn't rate five and below .

**Bam Bam:** I mean a fundee for crying out

**Gizmo:** loud.

**Rooster:** It has, it has some fund To me it had some like funding [00:02:00] very high praise. First time I tried it like the first third and as senator, I think he had one. And

**Gizmo:** uh, we, Senator, are you

**Bam Bam:** corroborating this, the fundi.

So how

**Gizmo:** I would smoke this with like

**Rooster:** low expectations and see how you

**Gizmo:** do Well given your, given your thank you for so ignore. By the way, ignore whatever

**Rooster:** I said. Thank

**Senator:** you for smoke

**Bam Bam:** it for us. Thank you for couching it for us.

**Gizmo:** I'm

**Rooster:** just saying. I mean, don't, I'm not, there's no hype, there's no rape. Just

**Gizmo:** smoke it for what it's, see what happens.

My point in saying that was not, I'm not, it wasn't busting balls. Like, we ha we would not have done this. Probably, especially Alan er in this, in this, uh, from this maker. Right. Had you not bought a, uh, quite a few of them. Right. Did you buy a fiver or 10

**Rooster:** of them? Yeah, about a five. Then I bought another five and I just bought a

**Gizmo:** box.

So, yeah. Well, that's an endorsement. Yeah, that is an endorsement from a ster. That's an endorsement. Yeah. I mean, I hope you guys like it. I hope, I hope so too. See how it goes. Let's cut this thing boys. We're getting on the cold draw. It's nice. It's a nice looking cigar. It is. I mean, it's beautiful. You know what I love about it actually, as we're cutting it, I, I love the kind of classic two, the [00:03:00] cohiba, uh, number one, the lance.

Uh, it has a pigtail on it. Yeah. Which is really nice to see from a new world manufacturer. On the cohiba, on the cohiba land, Sarah, they have the same cohiba land is like 80 bucks a steak. It's

**Bam Bam:** also incredibly, it's an incredible, this 10

**Gizmo:** incredible. This is eight. Yeah. This is like 10 bucks. I can't believe it.

You know what else is interesting too is they come in boxes of 23 dish. Yeah. Weird, weird number. That's bizarre. It's a weird number. What are

**Senator:** these made for? Michael Jordan. I mean, Jesus

**Poobah:** Michael Jordan wouldn't be caught dead smoking this fucking story. .

**Bam Bam:** Where are these? Uh, he's right.

**Gizmo:** Where were these stored at? Uh, these came from Atlantic. Yeah. They're pretty soft. Yeah. They came about four days ago.

I'm, I have high hopes. I guess we'll see how it goes, but What are you getting? How you guys doing on the draw? Yeah. My draw's good. Mine's a little tight. Slim. Mine's like perfectly tight.

**Senator:** Yeah. Slightly snug, but not in a bad,

**Gizmo:** I always [00:04:00] find with a land arrow it's, oh, I've never had a land serro that I've put in my mouth and the drawer is wide opens.

True. That's true. Never happened. I think these are very hard cigars to roll. I would assume that at the, my father factory, that the top rollers are rolling this cigar because it's a lot of tobacco into such a small vitola. Yeah. You know, ring gauge wise, I mean, this is a 38, you know, so I would, I would assume, what are you guys getting on the, uh, Cora?

Anything? Uh, interesting. A little raisin.

**Bam Bam:** Mm-hmm. Liga nine esque

**Gizmo:** on the Cora. Definitely.

**Rooster:** Yeah. Like a little, little earthy. Earthy coffee.

**Gizmo:** I think a

**Grinder:** sweetness too.

**Bam Bam:** Yeah. Mm-hmm. . Yeah. Yeah. Dried fruit and raisin. ,

**Senator:** I have say the cold draw is very pleasant. It's very nice. I could just draw it in this cold and I'd be satisfied.

It, it's got some good

**Bam Bam:** flavor notes. All right, let's close it down guys. Let's go home. , .

**Gizmo:** We're just getting started. Ba ba. Oh, I know. Buckle up. .

**Poobah:** That, that's until senator's like I'm getting a tar blast. ,

**Gizmo:** it's probably gonna come. I often find with a landro even well rolled land zeros, there's often a tar blast.

You've, you've not had this [00:05:00] before, right? Don had

**Senator:** this. I have, I have to think that, to your point, gi, that a lot of these land zeros have a snug draw. I have to think that this is intentional because it, it's just not, there's no way I believe that no one can roll, you know, a, a sort of wide open draw on a land zero.

I have to imagine that because these are smaller in ring gauge, that they don't want you to draw too aggressively on this and get this too hot or it's gonna totally muddle the flavors. So I kinda like that it forces you to slow down with something with a smaller ring gauge. That's a good point.

**Gizmo:** Yeah. I often find too, and um, With any land arrow.

I often find that if I make the head of the cigar too moist, just by letting it sit in my mouth too long, I'm often having feeling like, like I have to recut it or something. Sure. To open it up because there's just not a lot of surface area there. Mm-hmm. With the saliva versus a, a robusto or a Toro or whatever it may be.

So you really have to be deliberate when we smoke the cigar. Yeah.

**Rooster:** You have to smoke it slow.

**Gizmo:** Yeah. Have, it's gonna get hot. So, all right boys, let's light this thing. The, my far, uh, my [00:06:00] father number four, land cero. Again, it's a 38 ring gauge by seven and a half inch cigar. .

**Bam Bam:** I'm hearing the flames.

**Gizmo:** Looks like my St.

DuPont is dead for it. Boys Uhoh, this is not good. Shame on you. No, I can't get it to click. Like it won't piece of shit. . Yeah. I have to borrow somebody's lighter here. Thanks.

**Senator:** You didn't bring that Amazon one that bam.

**Gizmo:** Love so much. No, I have it, but I have to dig it outta my case. I rather, I do love that one.

I

**Poobah:** like that. I like that. Find your warranty. I love find your warranty card.

**Bam Bam:** I got, I was told that I was out on that. Yeah, you're

**Gizmo:** not allowed to buy that. I actually, what's funny about, uh, we're talking about the Amazon lighter, I mentioned a few episodes ago. It's like 11 or 12 bucks. I had a few listeners, uh, send photos, um, Andrew, namely send some photos.

Loves that ci. Uh, the cigar lighter. Loves playing with a little switch on it. Soft flame.

**Grinder:** What are you guys getting? This is delicious, I think so far. [00:07:00]

**Gizmo:** Hmm hmm. I'm excited. We talk about it all the time, boys. They do not make enough landeros. No, they don't. This is a call to the manufacturers. We celebrate Lance Serros.

Yeah, we celebrate Lonsdale.

**Bam Bam:** Honestly. Yeah. Lonsdale are a

**Gizmo:** fantastic

**Rooster:** call. It's like an earthy, earthy,

**Gizmo:** spicy

**Grinder:** little coffee. Oh, wow. Don't, don't. This is a little wild. I know. It's crazy from me. Plum. A little plumb.

**Bam Bam:** Maybe I'm getting a little asparagus.

**Gizmo:** Oh boy. Except for my wonder order. Maybe grilled, esteemed

I

**Grinder:** think these are, these are definitely esteemed.

**Gizmo:** So

**Poobah:** a vegetable

**Gizmo:** note,

**Pagoda:** I think you'll be smelling it

**Gizmo:** later as well. Wow. That is really, really good. On the light,

**Bam Bam:** I'll tell you, it's much smoother than I thought it

**Gizmo:** would be. If I was gonna write this right now, I would absolutely give this a nine or a 10 at this moment.

Like, I'm impressed. Wow, guys so strong

**Senator:** for, I'm trying not to say anything because, uh, rooster's obviously had this several times. I had one that he gave me and the, the most surprising part was just [00:08:00] right on the light, the flavor notes that you get. How Smooth Bam. Said. I'm surprised how smooth it is. Wow.

I, it, it gets off to a very impressive start.

**Gizmo:** What's incredible to me, and you know, we've talked about this with other cigars that we've been disappointed with. It's incredible to me that the same people that make the judge Yeah. With how we felt about. Make this cigar. But do you know

**Bam Bam:** how many people love

**Gizmo:** it, judge?

I know that it's such a huge, not for me, cigar. They make

**Grinder:** a great cigar though. I mean, they make a lot of really good cigars that people love,

**Gizmo:** honestly. Yeah, I know People love 'em. It's just not for me. I will also, this

**Senator:** is really interesting. At some point down the road, we should revisit that in a smaller vitola.

Agreed. We got that. We got a monster giant ring gauge. That's the monster. It was way too wet right out of a retailer. Yeah, we. We should give that another shot at some point. I only say that because I smoked this, that Rooster gave me and, and already this on the light, and I'm sitting here saying, okay, my father can make a good cigar.

Like this is. Yeah. These are notes that we pursue in cigars. Oh yeah. So that's why I'm more willing to at least give them a, another Shake Rooster.

**Bam Bam:** They make [00:09:00] another cigar in their line that I happen to love and I don't remember the name of it. Beshu? Yes.

**Gizmo:** The Bhu.

**Bam Bam:** Yeah. La Besu. It's actually in a smaller viola.

Fantastic ci. Very nice.

**Senator:** That's too much for me. It's too fun. Stuff will be, it's strong. It's super full. They

**Bam Bam:** have, uh, a mini, I don't know what you want to call it. Mini rib boost though. It's very small. Very nice. Surprisingly,

**Senator:** that's one of the only cigars I've ever smoked that I, I legitimately felt sick.

Smoking. Really? It's that like nicotine. Nicotine.

**Gizmo:** Wow.

**Grinder:** A hundred percent. It's strong. Now

when

**Pagoda:** just smoked that in high school, I mean, ,

**Gizmo:** it's strong.

**Grinder:** Like that's just nicotine, but flavor wise is strong. Pagoda has that for.

**Senator:** So's so concentrated. It's just, I mean, we love full smokes, but that honestly, for me, that's like a li on steroids, if you can even imagine that.

It is, it

**Gizmo:** is. For

**Rooster:** me, the the strongest and most, most powerful smoke that I ever had was the LA floor doa,

**Gizmo:** double Chisel. Oh,

**Bam Bam:** I've had that. It's powerful.

**Gizmo:** Is that the

**Senator:** one, can I say the [00:10:00] question? Very

**Gizmo:** harrow and honestly, is that the one that they patented the design? Yes. Yeah. Yeah, because it has some weird, it's a chisel that, it's like a ax, like the,

**Bam Bam:** I will say that could be part worthy, that cigar.

But imagine,

**Gizmo:** imagine saying, I

**Pagoda:** actually liked it. I remember milling. I've had that a long time back. I think I, it's powerful. I think I preferred it to the ou.

Yeah.

**Bam Bam:** Yeah. Maybe it's much bigger than the bejo, depending on of the total.

**Gizmo:** Imagine making a cigar and going, we have to do something that we can spend $20,000 getting a patent on.

It's crazy. So the construction on this boys is. A ha rosato wrapper. And then the binder and filler are all Nicaraguan, which is an interesting, well, you can taste the Nicaragua

**Rooster:** tobacco. Yeah. And it'ss, it's a, it's a, it's a full

**Gizmo:** cigar. Oh yeah. Lot of flavor, but, but very smooth. Yeah, extremely smooth, smooth,

**Senator:** enjoyable.

Like, honestly, this is one of the few Nicaraguan cigars that might fool me blind [00:11:00] at first. Like, it doesn't just smack you in the face like most Nicaraguans do. I could see myself trying this blind saying, maybe it's Dominican. It's not as full as a lot of Nicaraguans. So I think there's some complexity in what they've done with this cigar, which I really like.

Um, and when you mention funding notes, I mean, there's like this little sweetness you get on the finish here that kind of balances against the earthiness. Like, it, it's just a nice song and dance

**Gizmo:** and just naturally in the ring gauge, I mean, you're getting a lot of rapper, so you're, you're getting a lot of the Havana seed.

Obviously it's not grown in Cuba, but. It's Havana, you know, Havana seed grown elsewhere, that it's clearly working pretty well. Puba,

**Bam Bam:** what are you thinking about him?

**Poobah:** Jury's out for

**Gizmo:** me. I

**Senator:** knew it. I knew it.

**Grinder:** I think this, I was waiting for that. Hmm. The flavor's already

**Gizmo:** kind of changing on me a little bit.

Yeah. Yeah. The jury's out. It's,

**Poobah:** I'm confused. ,

**Gizmo:** but we'll see what's

**Senator:** confusing. I'm just curious. Um, [00:12:00]

**Bam Bam:** dumb, dumb, dumb.

**Poobah:** Yeah, I'm just trying to decide, like, it didn't on the light, it, it was pleasurable. I'm just trying to discern if it's my thing or not. I just can't, um, put my finger on it. Really. It's like a little, it's a little spicy.

It doesn't have like, some of the creamy notes that I would be looking for, maybe for my palate. Um, Maybe because I, I, I, I, I kind of lean towards Dominican. tobacco and Cuban tobacco a little bit more than Nicaragua, unless with the exception of Petron. Um, that's a

**Senator:** pretty big exception. , we smoke a lot of petro

**Gizmo:** We do. It

**Bam Bam:** is, but have you, uh, retro, retro hailed yet? Because on that Yeah, it's spicy. It's fantastic. You know, I find it very creamy on the retro,

**Gizmo:** it it to me on the, on the, the aroma of the cigar coming off of the head and also the burn line. It's good, but I mean, it's, it, it kind of [00:13:00] has like a doughy thing.

Yeah. It's almost like fresh uncooked pizza. Or, or bread that's not cooked.

**Poobah:** It's a little, has a pepper. It just has a peppery thing that's going on for me right now, which I'm, uh, which is okay.

**Gizmo:** I'm not getting any, I'm not getting much pepper spice at all. No. At all on this. Interesting. Interesting guys,

**Poobah:** I can only tell you what I'm , I dunno what to tell you, but I'm

**Gizmo:** What did you

**Senator:** eat before this?

I'm a little, yeah. Dessert.

**Poobah:** So I had like some wild rice. I mean, it was, was not like a crazy

**Bam Bam:** meal rooster. I'm not getting any pepper here. Um, I am getting a hint of baking spice a little bit and um, you know, you get that typical tobacco note, but, um, it's so far very pleasurable. Yeah. I mean, I surprising, I'm surprised

**Gizmo:** I get, I get like coffee

**Rooster:** and like,

**Gizmo:** like a little espresso.

**Bam Bam:** Yeah, yeah, yeah.

**Rooster:** The aroma coming off the, uh, off the foot has some spice. Like I, I get

**Gizmo:** that. Don't get in my nose. I, I agree. A few little, it gives you a little burn, a little tingle

**Bam Bam:** in the Yes. You know what I, I get a, [00:14:00] I get a floral on the, on the smoke. For me, if you take that here, just bring that in a little bit.

A little floral

for

**Senator:** me. It's when you say that it's the wrapper, because I was smelling the wrapper before we let this cigar, and I got some floral notes on the wrapper.

**Bam Bam:** It's awesome so

**Poobah:** far. Awesome. Like it's starting to, it's actually just, it's changing a little. I'm getting a little more sweet notes here from it now as it's picking up.

There you go. So we'll just see. I'm

**Gizmo:** just a little bit, you know why I'm pushing, I guess I'm, I'm surprised by what you're feeling and I would be honest. I mean, I'm not, no, I'm like, I'm, so, I'm not dismissing it. What I'm saying is what I'm, what what's interesting to me is I'm getting all out of that baking spice that you often call out from like an H Chapman.

I'm not saying it's H Chapman, like I'm saying that I am getting a lot of that kind of a little bit ingredients that are in a baking situation. Yeah, sure. I'm ver a hi. It's there. It's really just a hint. It's a hint. It's very doughy to me on the aroma.

**Rooster:** You know, it's, its like's pretty accurate when you pick up a cigar that you [00:15:00] know nothing about.

that you read about it and you're like, okay, I'm gonna try the cigar. And the first time I picked it up, I, I love the shape, I love the wrapper on this. I love the pigtail. Yeah. Very fun ass. Like the whole cigar is very fun. Que and then you light it. I'm like, oh my God. The notes are, you know, they're, they're very tasty, delicious smoke.

And then you get pleasantly surprised, like you pick it up nine out 10 times, you're disappointed.

**Gizmo:** Yeah. Well, but this, well, here's what I'm gonna

**Bam Bam:** say. Maybe, and with my father, typically this is unusual.

**Grinder:** Uh, this, um, the cigar has a lot of flavor. Um, and I'm enjoying it very, very much. Not retro hailing it.

Mm-hmm. When I retro hail this, I'm

**Gizmo:** not, you're a for the listener. You're a big retro hell guy. Yeah. So am

**Grinder:** I. So when I retro hail. , I am not getting an amplified version of what I'm getting in, in my palette. I'm actually getting like stale chlorine. Like this [00:16:00] empty kind of, it's a

**Gizmo:** sharpness. No.

**Senator:** Yeah.

**Grinder:** Its, it's, that's, it's not, it's not pleasant.

It's, it's not, it's not, I wouldn't say it's not, not, it's not, I'm not uncomfortable with it, but it's just not like, Hmm, that's really different and not what I was expecting. You certainly don't prefer

**Gizmo:** it to the, that's where the aspar

**Poobah:** coming, you know? I am, but I'm, I'm with you. I, I think because I retro held the cigar from the, and it's the bet at the, at the light.

It's a, and right after is a great time to do it before the cigar gets sometimes a little bit boulder down the stretch. And I was doing that and I wasn't, I was getting that same thing that you expressed. It was a little bit sharp. It wasn't, I wasn't getting that kind of thing. So, but with Nicaraguan cigars though, honestly, like I.

Sometimes that's what you gotta do.

**Rooster:** I mean, but you, you will, you will notice that this cigar doesn't really build up in strength. Mm-hmm. , it's kind of the opposite. I'm, I'm just curious. We'll see how

**Gizmo:** it goes for you guys. Are you saying that we should expect a one act play as [00:17:00] far as flavor as well? No.

We'll change a

**Rooster:** little bit, but I'll tell You'll actually kind of, uh, if it stays

**Bam Bam:** like this and I'll back off a bit, I'll be very happy if it stays like

**Gizmo:** this. And we have to note this too, because this is very important for the listener who didn't go out and buy one. This is a $10 cigar.

**Bam Bam:** Yeah. So the, the

**Gizmo:** value is tremendous.

So this, if this keeps up even 75% of where it is right now, it's tremendous. For 10 bucks, that is a really damn good value.

**Bam Bam:** Do you know how sophisticated you look right now with that cigar in your hand? I like that. Doing that. That's an awesome cigar. Ba, that's the ba bam. I

**Gizmo:** gotta do the ba move. . Well, you know, we always talk.

This is a like that. This is a very , this is a very elegant cigar in my, yeah. very elegant cigar in the hat. Yeah. That's

**Senator:** the thing. When Rooster pulled this out, I mean, first he tells me this, my father Lance Fundi notes, I mean, I'm sitting there shaking my head like, there's just no way he's either screwing with me or this is just not possible.

And when he took out the cigar, the first thing I noticed was just how beautiful the construction was. And I couldn't believe, I think you got these even under 10 bucks. Found him [00:18:00] somewhere. Yeah. You know, the wrapper in invisible seams. The pigtail, like Rooster said, the draw is like you would expect on any top lands.

Yeah. Um, so I give them a lot of credit at a $10 price point. I mean, it looks like a much more expensive

**Gizmo:** cigar than is it's, it's smoothing out for me. Now it's, and I'll be, the construction is perfect. Look at that. It

**Senator:** is and

**Bam Bam:** it is. I'm not sure how often you retro hale, but on the retro Hale, I'm getting the exact opposite experience that Puba and Grindr are getting.

It is so pleasurable. I'm getting amplified baking spice and creaminess on the retro hale on the retro. .

**Gizmo:** So right now on, uh, on, on Atlantic right now for a box of 23, these are going for 2 17 95. Yeah. And that's not v i p cuz I'm not logged in. You know, it's under, under 10. Yeah, under 10 bucks a stick.

Crazy. It's like nine bucks a stick. So far it's, that's a crazy deal. I mean, think about, you're gonna pull out a funded doors or a Coble and Cero for 80 bucks. A [00:19:00] hundred bucks. Yeah. Where you could pull this out for 10. Are you telling me that has 10 x the value of this? I don't know. , I don't know because you could, you could quite honestly throw this away.

Right now we're about three quarters of an inch in and you're still saving money. You're fine. Let me,

**Grinder:** let me ask this. Um, when you have, if you, if you get too hot on the burn, does the flavor profile

**Senator:** change? Yes. Yes. Yeah. I mean, any cigar, it starts to muddle the

**Gizmo:** flavor. You're moving, you're moving quite too, quite bit.

I think, I

**Grinder:** think I'm burning it too fast. Yeah, I,

**Gizmo:** I think. And what you're gonna find too, if you keep doing that, you see how it's, you're gonna, you're gonna find the head of the cigars, get a bunch up, and you're gonna get a tar blast, it

**Senator:** looks like kinda warped, like Yeah. You're gonna get a tar blast. It's like pulling a

**Gizmo:** little bit.

It's a good, it's a good thing for the listener to, to ex, you know, to experience us experiencing that. Sure. Because, you know, you really have to smoke a small reengage cigar like this slow Yeah. Keep it cool, you know, keep it, keep it, uh, you know, as loose as you can. Yep. Especially with saliva, cuz it will bite you if you don't.

Yep. And the

faster

**Bam Bam:** you smoke it, the, the more curve you'll get in your ash.

**Poobah:** So I guess. [00:20:00] If I have an issue, because all these, every comment, all the commentary here has merit, right? The construction is, is really good and the flavor profile is good, I guess, because you have to smoke this at a pace due to the, the toll of, and you do have to smoke it at a certain pace.

In a, in a cigar. This, this, this ring gauge. I want a longer finish and a little bit of a deeper thing that's gonna hang around a little bit longer. And to me, the finish on this is a, for me, a little bit short. That is

**Bam Bam:** 100% accurate. Is it abrupt or

**Gizmo:** is it short? It's short. It's,

**Poobah:** it's, well, I don't know. I think those are

**Gizmo:** synonymous.

Maybe because short to me, like abrupt, it's like a hard stop. Like it's short.

**Bam Bam:** Okay. He's, he's not wrong. It's short. He's not wrong. The finish is short. But that for me doesn't make it a, you know, an a bad

**Poobah:** experience. And in this size though, between draws, I don't get a bad experience a little bit longer of a

**Gizmo:** finish.

Yeah. I don't know if I, it's, it's not, it's not working for me in that respect. I, I think

**Senator:** I have a, a [00:21:00] slightly different take. That's

**Grinder:** not a negative,

**Bam Bam:** sorry, that's not a negative for me.

**Grinder:** No,

**Senator:** no it's not. But I just, for me, just my perspective on that, I. . I would not say this has a long finish, but to me it's got a medium finish.

I like a cigar with a short finish. Like I could forget the next second what the flavor notes were. Cuz they're just gone. Like for me this lingers a little bit. It doesn't linger for a very long time to poo his point. It's not like a super full cigar. Um, but the funny thing is like rooster's comparison to a fund.

I mean, I just smoked a funny the other day with Rooster that doesn't have a long finish either. Yeah. That has, I would say a medium finish, like very similar to this. So I just think land serros because of that smaller ring gauge, it's just like it one, I don't think most smaller ring gauge cigars are made.

Um, super full. like most full, full, like really intense cigars are larger ring gauge, like a rib robusto or bigger. Um, so I think that like, just naturally it kind of lends itself to being somewhere in the medium category. And I think also with the smaller ring gauge, like you're just drawing less smoke than you would a larger ring [00:22:00] gauge.

So it's kind of limited as far as like how long that finished really can be cuz you're just not getting the same smoke volume

**Poobah:** I guess. But you could also make sure, and that's a fair enough argument. Yeah. But you could also, you know, uh, make the same argument around, um, a, uh, uh, like an 8 98 or a, a cigar of that size.

Lawnsdale at Lawnsdale. Mm-hmm. . Thank you. Mm-hmm. like that, that's, I mean, yes it's larger, but you experience, I've experienced some pretty long finishes on some lawnsdale. That's true. So I guess. ,

**Gizmo:** you know? Yeah. What are those, what are those? 42, I think. Yeah.

**Bam Bam:** Yeah. And the Vsg, the Vsg illusion. The vsg. That's, that's got a nice long,

**Poobah:** you know, so, so it's got a nice, the vsg, you gotta kind of smoke a little bit slow.

Yeah, true. So, uh, you know, I under, I think. The, all this commentary has merit. Mm-hmm. , I, I, I, I just, it's just, it's, look, it's a [00:23:00] $10 smoke. That's exactly it. And, and

**Bam Bam:** like, I also think the, the maker, the, you know, the, my father brand could be skewing some of the opinion in the room, possibly possib. I possibly,

**Gizmo:** I gotta say, I think we're being incredibly positive about the cigar.

**Bam Bam:** Oh. It's very positive. But I think, I don't know, David, you know, it's on my father. We're fans this blind.

**Poobah:** I'd say the

**Bam Bam:** same thing. Yeah. I'm not, we're not big fans of the cigar maker. We're just not. I'm not, yeah.

**Poobah:** But we, but people were, but hold on, let me just say one thing. Sorry. I'm sorry, son. No, no. Let me just say one thing.

There are people in this room who, who were, none of which were Ashton fans. The, the minute they smoked that Aston Vsg turned, we have boxes of that. If this, if this thing was true, if there's no re I have zero motivation to, to say, to, to, to judge this cigar. Because it's a, my father zero. Totally. It's a maner that I'd love to put in my, yeah.

If you presented me this cigar and I was like, I love this thing. I, I love it. This is great. What's my point? I would've no shame in pulling out any cigar

**Gizmo:** that I like. Of course, doubt. Don't, you know what I'm [00:24:00] saying? I have no concern. This is not a vanity situation.

**Senator:** My, my, my thing is, I wanna go back to something Puba says this, I feel like a lot of the time we're reviewing his stick, he says, you know, for what it is or what it intends to be.

Yeah. And I just keep coming back to like, I thought Rooster was out of his mind when he mentioned the word fundi. And this stick Me too. But I'm telling you, dude, if you smoke, hang on. If you smoke a funded Doris, and then this, it's trying to deliver a similar experience to that, which is dramatically different than an 8 98.

It's not nearly as full flavored as that. It's not like a V S G new world. That is like a medium. Yeah. Smooth, creamy, relatively complex with some interesting flavor notes. So like, I just keep, like, the benchmark for this is like what a fundee's designed to be, which is not a full smoke. No. And I think that this shockingly, so far, brother performs really well in that category.

He's right, he's fucking right

**Bam Bam:** because I'm getting, I'm [00:25:00] getting it. Now. Here's, here's

**Gizmo:** my thing with this cigar. I don't know, I, I'm finding this experience to be incredibly elegant for a $10 cigar. That's crazy. I am, I would be proud to hand this to anyone at 10 bucks. I would be proud to hand this as it's smoking right now to anyone, cuz not only from a value standpoint, is it, is it a home run as of right this moment.

But it's also really great in the hand. It's an interesting size handing this, you know, people aren't gonna expect this. And I would argue that almost anyone who's got even a, a, a. Very decent amount of experience smoking. Smoking cigars would be able to really appreciate the cigars. A hundred percent agreed.

Whether they like full cigars, whether they like mild cigars. I think this is really kind of covering the bases. Plus it's elegant. Plus it's cheap and I,

**Bam Bam:** and I will say the bourbon that we're having with this right now really is quite nice. Well, it

**Poobah:** does stand up to it. I'm not that're

**Senator:** agreed. Can I, just quickly before we get to the bourbon Sure.

Is [00:26:00] anyone else getting like a, a saltiness on the finish? A little bit like that. That's what gives me when Rooster says this whole funny thing, like you get this front of the little, yeah. You get on the finish this saltiness that reminds you of a Cuban like that. That's like the one part I'm like maybe bizarre.

Also,

**Gizmo:** when

**Rooster:** you smoke the cigar, keep it like closer to your face, to your mouth, it's go, the aroma that's

**Gizmo:** coming off, it's good. The aroma's amazing in between your

**Rooster:** puffs. I mean it's, it's

**Bam Bam:** good. So it's good. That's good. Now you two had fundies recently, so I haven't had one in a very long time. Yeah. And, uh, so I'm, I'm, you gotta go back to it.

Well, yeah, I gotta go back to it. I'm taking a lot of merit from your comments.

**Gizmo:** Yeah. Yeah. All right. So let's talk about the bourbon. Yeah. The widow Jane, 10 year aged America made in Brooklyn, New York. Yes. Which is very cool. Yep. I've actually never had widow Jane. I am

**Bam Bam:** hap I have to say, this is one of my favorite bourbons.

**Gizmo:** Oh.

**Rooster:** Why is it called Widow Jane?

**Bam Bam:** I don't know. We need the sommelier in the room to Why do you

**Gizmo:** ask questions that we can't answer? ? Well, whoever

**Rooster:** brought it should [00:27:00] have done

**Gizmo:** some research. ,

**Bam Bam:** honestly, it was impromptu .

**Rooster:** Now I've heard

**Gizmo:** about it. A lot of people talk about

**Bam Bam:** this. It's quite good. Yeah, that's quite good.

And it, it really holds up to this guy here. Nine,

**Gizmo:** uh, 91 rated, uh, bourbon. I saw. Yeah. Okay.

**Senator:** I've got, um, I've got the name. All right. Hit it. The name comes from the widow Jane Mine in Rosendale, New York. The distillery comes outta Red Hook, Brooklyn. All widow Jane products are distilled and proofed with water from the limestone caves of the widow Jane Mine.

**Gizmo:** Yeah. Oh, very cool. Cool. I love that it's made in Brooklyn, I think that's awesome. Yeah.

**Bam Bam:** So I have an office in Brooklyn, so it's not far from where my office is. And um, I've wanted to do a tour in this facility. You can do a tour anytime Really? Yeah, anytime I hear You could just show up. You can just show up.

**Gizmo:** You know,

**Poobah:** there's a bourbon, um,

**Senator:** Oh,

**Poobah:** I don't know if it, I, I, I can't categorize it as a boom cuz I don't know enough about it. But there's a lot of bourbon distillers or whiskey distillers in [00:28:00] upstate New York and they do a, they do a pretty good job. Um, I picked up some, uh, I have to google the name from one, a boutique, uh, distiller up there, but they do, um, up in the Hudson Valley up there, um, in that, in that area of New York state, there's some really nice, uh, uh, distillers up there.

They're, they're that are doing small batch whiskey. That's cool. And, and it's really nice. Very

**Bam Bam:** cool. Have you ever been now to Kings County? I have not. That's a good one. I hear visit,

**Gizmo:** heard. This is really delicious. Bourbon quite, quite good. And I think it's pairing beautifully with the cigar. Agreed. Yeah.

And,

**Poobah:** and just, um, an update.

**Gizmo:** What's the proof on it? Sorry to interrupt. Pba. That's a good

**Bam Bam:** question. You know, I've got old eyes. I'm gonna hand it over to Grindr. He doesn't, 45 and

**Poobah:** a half. Got it. Okay. All right. Pva, sorry, go ahead. The, uh, so an update here. So I retro he, so now I'm, I'm a little bit down. I did re I've done a few retro hills here [00:29:00] and it's much, much smoother.

Yeah. And it's much more. Creamy then it, then it started off for me.

**Gizmo:** Sir. Same. Yes sir. So the first, first third

**Rooster:** has, you know, has, has like a lot of you like strength and then it kind of mellows

**Gizmo:** off.

**Poobah:** It's interesting. You would think the opposite, right? Yeah. Yeah. So I maybe some of the oils and the wrapper maybe something, the thing it's like kind of developing right now, this is the best, it's smoked for me.

Um, cuz I'm down maybe one half, maybe inch and a half, two inches or something. Yeah. And it's now it's, this is the most enjoyable part of the cigar for me so far. It's really quite nice. So it's, it's. It's better. It's much, it's actually changed,

**Senator:** which is great cuz I mean, honestly, if we think of most $10 sticks that we've smoked, we're usually saying the opposite.

We're like, oh, this starts out great. Yeah. And as you keep going, gets worse and worse and worse. So it's nice that this actually delivers something better or more as you smoke it. Yeah.

**Bam Bam:** And for $10 so far, it's just incredible.

**Gizmo:** And, you know, it, it, it really lends again to going [00:30:00] back and revisiting brands that disappointed us.

You know, this is the second time now we, we did the EP Corillo, the, the pledge prequel, which was the Cigar of the year in 21 . And it really disappointed us. And then we came back kind of ingest, smoking the L centor that, that that senator brought because of his namesake. Spectacular. And it was excellent.

Excellent. So this is another example of going back to a manufac. , it didn't knock it out of the park for us. And it's really doing something different for us. You just, just

**Rooster:** the way the Cuban prices

**Gizmo:** are. Yeah. I mean, you

**Rooster:** know, I mean, once you find like an under $10 steak, a new world steak,

**Gizmo:** I mean, I think it's,

**Bam Bam:** it's, it's greats great.

Yeah. Great. Recommend Rooster so

**Gizmo:** far. And you know, the other thing too that I would expect from my father that I'm not gonna expect from Cuba is I'm going to expect that every one of these cigars I pick up is gonna be exactly the same. It's gonna be well constructed. Mm-hmm. and it's gonna deliver. Yeah.

And don't forget, these families are from Cuba. Yeah, that's true. So they [00:31:00] have that culture. Yeah. Yeah. You know.

**Poobah:** True. Well, yeah. And the estate, I mean, there's a lot of tobacco grown. Um, Yeah. By these guys. I mean, there, there's a lot of different brands that, that cultivate tobacco outta here. That's

**Gizmo:** crazy.

**Rooster:** Crazy. Um, I'm not sure if they grow it in Elli or like what part of Nicaragua?

**Gizmo:** Not, not sure, but I think they have a factory in Elli. Yes. Estelle. Yeah. It's in, it's there. Pagoda.

**Bam Bam:** What are you thinking about this? Haven't heard from you? You know,

**Pagoda:** for me this is the second time I've had it. I think Rooster had given it to me.

Ah, so you've had this already? Yeah. And uh, for me, I thought it was very Cuban esque from the very beginning. Mm. McGees. I think in terms of just getting certain flavors out of it, I get a bit of earth inness and saltiness from the very beginning throughout. So I, you know, like, uh, uh, Senator mentioned I get that saltiness throughout, which I really enjoy a bit of.

I also think there's a bit of floral in there with the baking spice. Yeah. Yeah. For me it was very Cuban esque and I really wish we had done this, uh, without the label or the blind one, the [00:32:00] keys , you know, would've, this could've been one of those interesting ones where it's, uh, it's a beautiful cigar and at the same time it delivers, uh, flavors, which is somewhat, you know, mild, uh, from my perspective, but overall very enjoyable.

You know, you,

**Poobah:** I think that that's, uh, it's a nice observation cuz it does have some of that fal. Notes to it. It's a very AC astute, and now that I'm connecting the dots here between what everybody likes, right? So like if ru one of Rooster's favorite cigars, the MD oh four, and it's so floral and some pe that's some people's jam that some that's not some people's jam, right?

So I love, I like that do I love floral? Like, as much as rooster loves floral, no. Do I like a dessert more? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So like I can see now how, how this cigar could resonate with you. Y y you know what I mean? Because you're picking that out. And that's [00:33:00] true. It does have some of that floral to

**Gizmo:** it.

**Senator:** I think it has both.

That's what's crazy about it. Yeah. It, it does, does, I mean, I got a lot of cocoa on this. Yeah,

**Gizmo:** yeah, yeah. It's very dessert. Like, I love this. You're

**Bam Bam:** not wrong. I love this conversation. You're not wrong. Great conversation.

**Poobah:** You're not wrong. It's the, the finish for me is a little bit, but I guess for a $10 cigar, You gotta set your

**Rooster:** expectations appropriately.

Even if, even if it wasn't a $10 cigar, I think it, it's, it's, it has value even I agree, even beyond

**Senator:** 10, if

**Gizmo:** this were more

**Senator:** than $10,

**Gizmo:** if it was 20 bucks, I

**Bam Bam:** would feel the same. Yeah. And so far I would buy a box of these at the moment. Yeah. I would

**Gizmo:** definitely go

**Rooster:** afterwards. Yeah. I mean, going back to pub's point about the lgc s being floral.

Yeah. The floral notes dominate on the lgc M DL number four. Totally right. The MDL number two has some floral fruit and some spice

**Gizmo:** and some other stuff going on. I get fruit on it on number. , right? Yeah. But this has more, I honestly, it's

**Rooster:** floral and, and, and other, other, I'm

**Bam Bam:** getting, I'm getting florals in the background.

Yeah, you're getting floral in the background. I am getting baking spice and cocoa. Yeah. It's very [00:34:00]

**Gizmo:** accurate, Senator. So I'm just looking. I was, I was curious because I had seen that it, it, it got a few ratings from Cigar aficionado, um, and most recently in the August 22, uh, issue, it got a 94 mm Oh wow. But even at a 94, which is a pretty damn high score, it did not place in the top 25 of the year when they re-soled it.

That's a crime, which I find that's a crime. Very odd. Yeah. So the one from my father that did make it. Yeah. But how

**Poobah:** many Lance Sarahs have we smoked out

**Gizmo:** of the top of the, I think the judge. No Lek Labu, uh, Churchill was number seven this year. Churchill, can

**Senator:** you imagine smoking that thing in Churchill?

That's a death sentence. It it, it truly

**Gizmo:** is. Which one? The, my father went lab.

**Senator:** The lab of the fullest cigar I've ever smoked. Yeah, it's insane. You have knock you on your ass. I kind of want

**Bam Bam:** do it. It's good. It's good because I'm not interested. No, no, no, no. You have to try it in the smaller of a toilet. It's really, really good.

No, we should do that

**Grinder:** petite. Just as [00:35:00] just to see the, you know, some of the reactions and consensus. It is

**Gizmo:** such a strong, you have to have a massive like cerin fatty steak dinner, dinner

**Senator:** before. Before

**Bam Bam:** we do that, PBA may pass out. Room . .

**Poobah:** Yeah, . But it's getting, it's got better, it got

**Gizmo:** notably better's. I'm really enjoying the pairing tonight.

Again, crazy kind of by accident, but it's delicious hitting it out of the park. The two of them, it, the, the bourbon is really complimenting the flavor of the cigar. It is. I'm not gonna gush,

**Poobah:** you're gushing.

**Bam Bam:** I'm sorry. I'm just, I'm not gush. Gonna gush.

**Poobah:** All right. I'll calm down. But, but it is and, and . I would love to be gushing.

I'm not gonna gush, but it's good. Yeah, I mean, it's definitely good and it's definitely getting better. It's getting way better than it started for me.

**Gizmo:** So we, we mentioned when we came on, you guys were feeling that the cigar might have been a little soft. Are you guys experiencing anything different from when you smoked it in the past?

No. I find it's smoking brilliant was perfect.

**Bam Bam:** Pneumonia, nothing, not what you mean? Do we usually get in a heavily humidified cigar? I'm not getting any of that. [00:36:00] Yeah.

**Grinder:** I don't, I don't think it's soft actually as you smoke it. I think maybe just the nature of the size, um, maybe it's just a little more supple.

Yeah. Because it's, you know, there's not as much tobacco in there for the firmness. There's fewer veins to hold it in

**Gizmo:** place and provide structure. I definitely think as, I mean, we'll see how it comes down to the end here, but as of right now, I'm, I'm really impressed with. I'm

**Bam Bam:** anticipating a great finish. I, I like it.

I, I

**Grinder:** don't, I'm not, I'll use the word gush. I'm not gonna gush over at all.

**Gizmo:** It's a, it's a little

**Poobah:** boring.

**Gizmo:** I mean, not boring. Here's my thing with it. So you think it's boring? It's a little, I think for what it is, it's smacking disagree, I think for the size. I think, I think what you're, what you're feeling is boring.

I'm, I, I kind of put in the elegance category. Agreed. Anytime I have a cigar that is designed to be smooth and medium and elegant, it's never going to beat you up. Like even like a lawns day, like an 8 98, that's cigar is full. It's an experience. It's a roller coaster ride. It's a wow. This, [00:37:00] you know, comparing it to Cubans, the, the Cohiba number one, the, the, the lance, the fundi.

No, they do not kick you around. It's just

**Poobah:** interesting because it Right. And, and. I appreciate what you're saying, but Senator and I on, on this podcast for the record, for the record, for the record, for the blizzard, record the ledger, very for the ledger. Very, very, very rarely disagree. It's true. I'm enjoying this almost.

We almost never, ever disagree. It's true on almost any cigar

**Bam Bam:** ever. True. I'm not sure if, if that's a good thing by maybe the, maybe

**Senator:** the new wordss. Bam. It's what you should aspire to. It's a great thing. No, .

**Poobah:** Am I wrong though? I disagree wholeheartedly. Disagree. Disagree. How? How? How many? How many times, how many times on this podcast do I say to you?

I agree a hundred percent and you look at me and say, The I, you know, I just wanna pick up on that. I agree a hundred [00:38:00] percent. So, no, it's you're,

**Bam Bam:** you're both scared

**Senator:** of

**Poobah:** each other. No, it's not true. . You

**Gizmo:** guys are just

**Poobah:** lockstep. No, I'm just saying. Saying this is interesting. It is because we're not like in lockstep and then we're usually, we usually we're more in

**Gizmo:** lockstep.

I'm just saying. I'll tell you what,

**Senator:** I genuinely think that if Puba smoked a fundi yesterday and then smoked this, yeah, you'd have a different perspective. Like you did.

**Grinder:** Does anybody have a funding on, on

**Senator:** deck that we can give? I just say that. Just give

**Gizmo:** me a fundi. I do it up.

**Bam Bam:** I actually, actually hold, hold

**Senator:** on.

I do have a fundi. Someone has a couple boxes

**Gizmo:** of Fundies while, hold on. Before we go to that, I wait to get to that. Before we go to that. So Puba, the one thing I wanna say to you that's surprising to me is you are usually a guy that's chasing elegant, medium smooth sticks. So what I'm finding interesting about your feeling about this cigar is if you weren't here, let's say you're not here, I would be thinking, wow, I really.

Think Puba would love the cigar. So that's [00:39:00] surprising to me that something isn't delivering to the degree that I certainly thought it would. Well, so far through the

**Bam Bam:** cigar. Yeah. Make a quick comment if I may. Okay. He's spot on. As far as the finish is concerned, there's finish is short, but for me that doesn't make it a poor cigar.

I just go from more because I love the front of this cigar. It's just fantastic. Yeah.

**Senator:** To me it's not that short. The finish is medium. I agree. Hardly medium. That's fine. It's

**Bam Bam:** not short. Medium, hardly Medium. Finish fine.

**Poobah:** Fine. It is, and I'll, I'll concede to that. It is medium, but maybe it's the finish that I'm not crazy about.

Yeah. Maybe that's what it is too. I, I just, but again, I'm not, let me temper my, my commentary a little. I'm not, uh, I'm not saying that. I'm, I, I'm not gushing over. I'm not like, wow, this is like a whole new discovery for me. This is really something that I'm gonna reach for at this point. That's all. [00:40:00] I'm not saying it's, but it's like, it's not like I'm not enjoying it, but it's for, there's something that's not, that's not hitting the mark for me, and that's it.

**Pagoda:** And that's when you have a sip of bourbon. . ,

**Bam Bam:** yeah. Hit the

**Gizmo:** widow Jane. Um, which is really working. Just,

**Rooster:** just sitting, just sitting in this room, which is not very big with not lot, the ventilation going on. I mean, I'm just, just loving this.

**Gizmo:** It's, it's a great experience roaming everything else about it. And listen, we're all.

just so let's just do one more quick math equation cuz I find this fascinating. All seven of us, we have a full house tonight. Mm. We're all sitting here smoking these cigars for the price that's less total. Seven of us total, less than one funded. Doris right now from Cuba, brand new out of the box bro. Or one cub cohiba Sarah.

Yeah, by quite a bit actually. Yeah. And honestly the, and then you might have draw

**Bam Bam:** issues on there. Exactly. But what's interesting is the quality of the conversation over this viola and this maker. It's tremendous. It's surprising. There's, there's a reason for that because it's, [00:41:00] you know, it's a

**Poobah:** good cigar, but I just retroed it.

It's good. I mean, it's good. Yeah. I, I'm not shitting on this fu

**Gizmo:** this thing. No, I'm not taking it as shedding. What I'm taking it as is just, I am just slightly surpris. Your take on it right now. Cuz to me this cigar is screams pooper to me. But that's, you know, so be it. So I want to go

**Rooster:** back to Pagodas point.

If we had handed this cigar without the bands to each and every one

**Gizmo:** of you, I was just gonna say, what would you, what would you guys say? Yeah. Yeah.

**Senator:** Just, just take that guitar.

**Bam Bam:** Poop is not happy about this, but

**Grinder:** it's okay.

**Senator:** Grind wants. I've

**Grinder:** been taking notes because That's fine. I've have this, been listening

Um, couple things. The taste is, is great. Very good taste. I, it tastes very familiar to me and I'll come back to that. I don't get a lot of salt. I do get a pinch of table salt on the end. Front of your tongue. On the front of my tongue. Yeah. Same. But it's not like

**Senator:** a [00:42:00] fresh,

**Grinder:** flaky sea salt Yes. That you get from a Cuban.

Yes. You know, it's just very subtle. Um, I do think the expectations. And the discussion and the chatter that we had coming into this may have clouded it a little bit because I don't, I mean, to me it's not, it's not speaking to funded Doris, but I don't speak a lot of, I don't smoke a lot of fund AORs.

We'll have to do that. Yeah. We'll do taste test. Um, and the thing is, I get a lot of enjoyment out of it. There's good spice. It's, it is, it is smooth. And I love smoking lonsdale. By nature of this being an lonsdale, it's already gonna be a great, sorry. By nature of being a lynner or lonsdale, this is already high marks in my book.

Yeah. However, . I don't think this is very unique. The taste I'm getting is, is it, it tastes a lot like other cigars that I've had and have enjoyed and have enjoyed, but it's just not unique to me. But it's, it's a flavor that I'm familiar with and I really, really enjoy. So it's nothing, it's not a knock, it's just, you know, so my question is, my, my exuberance [00:43:00]

**Gizmo:** is not as, my question is, , would you compare this to,

**Grinder:** given that you That's what I've been struggling.

I'm like, cuz I knew you. That was the question. Like how Yeah. This the first follow up. Yeah. Yeah. What's the, and and

**Gizmo:** I'm just like, what, what I wanna do is I wanna smoke. If you, if you name some comparisons, I wanna try 'em. I know,

**Grinder:** but I, what I'm saying is I can't pinpoint it. Mm-hmm. , it's kind of got, it's got little bits and bobs of a lot of cigars that I've had before, but that makes, that's irrelevant because every single is like, yeah, but, you

**Senator:** know, hold on, hold.

Which I think is a testament to it, just that there's actually that many notes that it, it, it brings a little of a number of things and it doesn't

**Pagoda:** scream new world to me

**Bam Bam:** directly. That's the thing. Hold on, let's finish, let's, Senator

**Senator:** finish what I saying. I, I'm just saying like, for me, the biggest surprise about this cigar is that there's any complexity whatsoever.

My expectation going in candidly with most new worlds is that they're gonna be very, very straightforward. Right. I'm gonna get, I'm monotone gonna get one dominant note, maybe a second note. The, the great new worlds have a third or a fourth note to it. I was shocked to light this up and get, you know, [00:44:00] cocoa baking spice, floral notes, uh, creaminess about, I mean, I could keep, go like, dude, it, it's stunning that I would be able to say that.

So, I'm not coming from this as like, this is one of the greatest cigars of all time. That's not my take on this cigar, but I am, what I do give this a lot of credit for is, I would call this a complex cigar and I don't know many $10 sticks that I would ever,

dude.

**Senator:** I say that's,

**Bam Bam:** and it's, everything he's describing is very Cuban esque.

That's a Cuban cigar that he is describing, more or less. There is

**Gizmo:** at this current,

**Bam Bam:** for a $10, my father's cigar,

**Gizmo:** at

**Rooster:** this current moment in the Havanas portfolio, there is not a single cigar that you can touch for under 10 bucks that will deliver you this

**Gizmo:** flavor profile. And by the way, we're 40, 40 something minutes into the podcast.

Whatever $10 cigar you get from Havanas would've been done 20 minutes ago. Yeah. And

**Bam Bam:** we've never discussed the $10 cigar to this level. It's, it's, it's amazing. I mean, we have

**Gizmo:** smoked some $40 Cuban sticks that we have

**Rooster:** kind of like, you

**Gizmo:** know, rated Yeah. Put down. Yeah. And [00:45:00] Rooster

**Bam Bam:** said something really interesting because of the cost of Cuban cigars, I would have this and preserved my Cuban stock totally worthwhile.

**Gizmo:** Yeah. .

**Senator:** Yeah. Yeah. Like to rooster's point, I mean, I can't get Fundies all the time, right? Like they're very hard to come by. I can't get any . We're gonna talk to you about why that is. , you

**Bam Bam:** got some coming to you later. .

**Grinder:** I, I think I thi, I, I wonder, I don't think my father makes many medium light body cigars, right?

Not at all. No. So, I, I, I wonder, this is very intentional making their, their blend and their tobacco leaf that they grow on their farms and, and they use, maybe this is, this is their way of saying, okay, let's tone it down a bit and let's do something a little different. Yeah. And put it in this size bundle a little differently and it's gonna smoke more elegantly.

Because those cigars are like, that portfolio is just, it's a lot. It's full. There's a lot of Lee Harrow in. , like every one of their, every one of their VITs, every one of their different, you know, their different blends. No, I can't, you know, [00:46:00] some listener's probably gonna correct me on this, but maybe it's, you know, it's, it's a, it's a way for them to, to package what they have in a

**Gizmo:** different way.

We, we've talked on the podcast, I know I've said it about intentional blending and really doing something specific to the viola or for a specific target part of their audience. I think that this was a very intentional blend to reach someone who likes an elegant hour and a half small ring gauge experience.

And to me, it's speaking to me right now for 10 bucks. I, you know, it's really, it's really working.

**Pagoda:** What's really interesting is, uh, if you think of the binder and the filler, the Nicaragua, Estella Nicaragua, and, you know, we've had a lot of Nicaragua cigars and they give a completely different Yeah.

Experience.

**Bam Bam:** Yeah. Forgive me. Is this Sapiro? It's not aro. No.

**Gizmo:** No. Okay. Because the rappers,

**Rooster:** rappers, Havana. Got it. Got it. And, and this is not the only LENR they make.

**Gizmo:** Hmm. What they make make [00:47:00] they make one other, right? Yeah. Or two other others. They make the lab.

**Bam Bam:** I think it's one. Do they make the Labio? I don't text

**Grinder:** the lab release something else.

The Havana rapper is probably one of my favorite rappers. Hao and, uh, what's the red one? Rosado Rosa. Roo Roo. Like a, like a nice rosado just so it, it's so

**Gizmo:** is a rosado. I think it is a Hao roo. But the Rosado just designates the color. Oh yeah. It's not official. It's not like a, like a deep reddish brown. Uh,

**Grinder:** it's not like, it's not like a specific leaf though, right?

This

**Gizmo:** is a So, or is it just how it Yeah, Atlantic. I'm, I'm seeing different things. Atlantic is saying that this is an Ecuadorian Havana Creo, uh, cyo and then Crio. Creo, no, not Creo. There's not a J. It's two L's. Creo. And then, and then, uh, J is saying that it's a Hao Risto. On the same cigar. So I'm not sure what the, uh, what the truth there is.

Maybe it's a

**Grinder:** Havana Rao. I love the

**Pagoda:** Eor. Oio rappers. Oio.

**Gizmo:** Sio. Yeah. So speaking of [00:48:00] truth, um, we as the lizards,

**Senator:** why are you looking at me? ?

**Bam Bam:** We were, uh,

**Gizmo:** to put it lightly, we were tricked. You were flab. Mcas.

**Senator:** Glad. Yes. You are disadvantaged. There's only one word to describe it. I wasn't bam, bam, bam, bam. Bamboozled.

All of us bamboozled. All of us. We were bam, bamboozled. And how did I do that? Okay, so let's go back, listener. Look at

**Bam Bam:** my face. I'm truly, I'm, I'm starting to get scared to the listeners.

**Gizmo:** Are you talking about Stand by? Bam. Bam. I'm moving my mic to the listeners, uh, who didn't get a chance to listen to last week's, uh, episode.

Um, we did as Grindr so elegantly called it the bam bam accountability hour, where we really torched bam on his nine month escapade to. Move his tower. 25 feet from his garage to inside his house. It took seven months to get to my house, by the way. And then Okay. And I thought you moved your mic. And then, uh, [00:49:00] not only season it, but also fill it with the cigars.

So we did the bam bam, accountability hour. We really rallied together. It was an intervention, really. I mean, would anybody disagree? And, uh, bam, bam. Delivered. Yes. I'll be honest. But bam, bam. Delivered. Well, hold on, put this way over. Delivered over. Delivered. Delivered things that we had no idea he was capable of delivering.

When he sent a picture of his absolutely jam-packed. Yeah, but full tower. You have to go back and, but it's not just a step back. Hold on, hold

**Senator:** on. He, I am

**Bam Bam:** not a conno sword. Like

**Gizmo:** to Esse corner. You're allowed to talk Hold. Yeah. I'm gonna cut your mic. You always say to cut Mikes, I'm cutting yours.

**Rooster:** All right, I'm moving on.

You have to, you have to go back to the picture that he sent. It was six gallons of distilled

**Gizmo:** water in the back seat. , by the way, he

**Senator:** needed a court to

**Rooster:** dous know dous that tower down, like he's gonna

**Gizmo:** soak those fucking shelves, distilled water. And I did do

**Senator:** that. I all, you should not do that. I know

**Gizmo:** You don't need six.

I was like, he needs a court. You're gonna warp the wood. So,

**Senator:** so

**Bam Bam:** I, [00:50:00] I did have the tower in my basement a long time ago. I seasoned it and I just forgot. I admit

**Senator:** that, how did you forget about it? We're busting your

**Bam Bam:** balls. I just didn't, I didn't bother week. You know what? I talked about it 10 times. I've got these huge tupper doors full of boxes of cigars and I had the tower there and I was like, you know what, I'm good for now.

It just went on. So for the

**Gizmo:** listener out there, I moved on with my life. I, I wish I could pull clips and play it for how many times. Our friend, bam. Bam. And what hurts the most about this is to be misled is one thing, but to be misled by one of our own misled, it really hurts. Oh yeah. I wanna know how I misled you.

Oh yeah. When you, how many times on the podcast my friend have you said, You know, you guys have way more, way more than I do. You do have more

**Senator:** than I do. That's a lie. Really? That's not, that's a pat, that's a categorical lie.

**Gizmo:** I don't believe you. Well, we got

a

**Bam Bam:** picture listeners now. How many, hold on. How many 50 cabs.

Ell, Lucy, do you

**Senator:** have?

**Gizmo:** I've never denied it though. You have

**Senator:** 450 loo loosies. Bam. Guess how many I have? I have one. I I. And guess how many? I have one. I You make it sound like, there you go. I, and we all have so much [00:51:00] more than you. How many sharks

**Gizmo:** do you have? How many boxes?

**Senator:** 1.75 boxes? Yes. That's more than I have.

I have five. I'm happy to share . Yeah. Okay. Oh, now, now we hear those words. I'm happy to share. He's like Corona's claros in there. He's, he's got everything. So listen, can imagine to really go boxes of defor to just expound on what? Giz

**Gizmo:** PSP boxes. All right,

**Senator:** hold on. I want to expound on what Gizmo was, was saying there you'll get your opportunity to defend the, the point is, baam tomorrow for years now, we have heard years.

Years. Years. I've known you for years. For years we have heard. I don't have as many sticks as you guys have. You guys have these big, full towers. You guys know I just have than, you know, desktop, humanure and a Tupperware. I don't have the same collection. You guys do all this stuff. And so we are very nice and we've been very charitable and we give you a lot of these sticks thinking that you don't have them , all of a sudden you send a photograph.

Full to the Brim Tower saying I have more, I can't [00:52:00] even fit in the tower. I'm now filling desktop hum manures with my excess and I'm probably gonna need Tupperware. And let me just recount a little of what's in the photo. Okay. In the photo there is a box of RGUs E two QD 54 RGUs. Maduro one, Monty two be coso.

You have the photo open now. I do too. You gave us, you gave us your running log inventory. I'm reading your inventory. Punch punch. Three boxes of D four s. RGUs P two Boulevard, Royal Corona Boulevard, petite Corona. Juan Lopez, number one by the way, a 50, hang, let me finish, let me finish. Uh, 50 cab of RGUs shorts up in half.

Corona up in Ana. Con, uh, h hutman connoisseur, a h Chapman Mag 46 what short to punch Mag 54. Ottman number two. Three boxes of ottman number two. But this is not, and Mon Christo Edo come, uh, Trinidad colonials, two fucking boxes of Trinidad funded. Doris Monty Linnet. Fuck off. Yeah, but you have that has, how [00:53:00] are you?

He has more than a box of lgc number four, 1.25 bucks. Yeah, but I have, come on. He has Vegas. No, no, no. Come on. No, no, no, no. Thank you. That's all courtesy of Rooster. Thank you. It's courtesy of Ro. Thank you. Now I, I can I, here's the seven and Hold on, hold on. You'll get your opportunity. The, the best for last.

He has a 50 cab of loosies. Yes.

**Bam Bam:** Now .

**Pagoda:** Bam. This is bam.

**Gizmo:** This is, this is, wait a minute. This is just, this is just the front row. Yes, yes. This is only what we see. I don't dunno what's behind it. Can't find it

**Bam Bam:** anymore. Some of that stuff is, is uh, Tetris like in there? You know, so here's, here's I, I have to say something.

I was, I've been inspired by all of you. Oh, no. It'ss true. Look, look, look. Don't humble yourself, baby. I don't have, I don't have schwa Supreme. That's a cigar that I love.

**Senator:** Oh my God. I need to get this. My God. I'll give you my Schwa. Supreme. If you'll gimme your Fundies, man. Like, give you, you want that? Like, I got to AOI right here, baby.

I have,

**Bam Bam:** I have no 8 98 Parus. I don't, I have none. Hold. Poor you.

**Gizmo:** [00:54:00] Poor you. Listen, we could go through the whole catalog. Here's my point. Okay. My point is, you have portrayed yourself as a man who's been left out of groups as a man who's been early on.

**Senator:** No, you, you still do it early? No. No, no.

**Gizmo:** Well, I like to

**Senator:** as a man.

What? You still do it? I, I like the cathartic nature of it. Okay. Yeah. This is very cathartic for me.

**Bam Bam:** It's cathartic. I'm feeling very cathartic. I enjoy the cathartic nature

**Gizmo:** of it. This is very cathartic, . So you have put yourself out as a guy who doesn't know how to source, doesn't have the resources, doesn't have the time.

Doesn't have the energy. Certainly. I've never been offered boxes from bam, bam, . I don't know if any of you

**Bam Bam:** I'm gonna offer you. No. I dunno. If any your catalog that you have, I'm gonna offer you. Yeah. But to me, I look at all of you. Honestly, you

**Senator:** have as many sticks as I do. I don't know about that. That is true.

It's a fact. No, I, Sam we both have the same tower and both of them are full. I the

**Bam Bam:** same sticks. Look at, I do. Look at all of you. Operating at a higher level in sourcing [00:55:00] and in the, um, in the selection of the cigars that you have. And I'm trying to aspire to that. Yeah, I really,

**Poobah:** so are these like all 20, 20 boxes?

No,

**Gizmo:** no, no. I

**Bam Bam:** have someone boxes. I do have some age stuff. Like I, I got, I've got 24. My oldest cigar is the Lgc four s and Tuesday. Oh yeah. But that's all courtesy of Rooster. Okay. Yeah. And I've got 2014 upends, and that's the oldest scenario.

**Senator:** I know that I do not have 2014. I don't have any gizmo. Do you? I only.

**Bam Bam:** I've got that jar. I

**Senator:** don't You do.

**Gizmo:** Oh, the Noels. Yeah, the noelle's. Yeah. I have a

**Bam Bam:** jar. Those a jar. I thought you meant the two.

**Senator:** Those are incredible to BA's defense. Well, thank you for sharing those. I've never tried one. I know. And I want to bring you one. I've asked you for them. No, you haven't. Yes, I have.

You sent a photo of that jar. I said, well, I like to try one of those and ba I'm like, huh, that's cigar. Sure. I have only

**Rooster:** been asking for Fundies for the last six months. I have

**Senator:** a

**Bam Bam:** few for you. Right. Hold on. I'm I

**Senator:** grinder. Go. All

**Grinder:** right. All rights to feds. A couple things.

**Bam Bam:** One for, for the listener,

**Senator:** couple things.

Grinder defending, pulling. Grinder [00:56:00] for the listeners. Couple things. Grind grinder. Let me just

**Gizmo:** say couple. One grinder. Be his defense attorney. He needs a one, one thing, at least one thing. I said five. So

**Bam Bam:** not gonna happen. Fiver, not happening. Can we? We have a box and a half.

**Gizmo:** All right, go ahead.

**Poobah:** Thanks. I mean, I felt so bad for you.

I gave you like a selection of sticks for your birthday because I, I actually, that was beyond, would I give anyone else cuz I felt I was blown anything. Cause I felt like you didn't have anything. I'm l I was trying, so I

**Senator:** was trying, when you gave me those, that

**Bam Bam:** sampler dude, it was off the charts. Puba sampler that he gave me.

Give

**Senator:** it back

**Poobah:** because I felt bad. No, no. But I actually didn't, my motivation, I was like, bam, bam. Doesn't have like a ton of cigars. Cuban cigars, he's always complained. Doesn't have a ton. So maybe I'll give him a sampler for his birthday. So I give him this like, phenomenal aged sampler stick. It was awesome.

And, and, and, and senator's like, you're a lunatic. What do you, this is like, like, and I said, no, no, no, no.

**Senator:** What is, he doesn't, what is he dying like, like right. Like what? He am dying. But that's he [00:57:00] based on the selection, I'm like, this is like on someone's deathbed when you give, I'm Rooster. Rooster. When he gave me that sampler, I didn't

**Bam Bam:** have what I have now in my catalog.

I don't. I've grown. Where did you get it

**Gizmo:** the

**Poobah:** last three weeks? I gave him a Vegas reia and, and Lgo. That what

**Senator:** I've learned for this spa. But you have LG four s, you have boxes apparently no. Of l I have zero of Luke Le Gloria

**Poobah:** Cabana number fours. And I'm gifting you the shit all, not even knowing that you fucking have 'em.

I am. And I've, and I've got like eight in my

**Bam Bam:** hum. Work. I am pledging, I am making a pledge. Yeah, I am happy to democratically distribute and share, you

**Senator:** know what I'm saying? We've been waiting years to hear these words, the whole

**Gizmo:** point of this. Bam. Lemme just say the whole point. Am I wrong? Am I not? Not at all.

We're

**Senator:** on. Not at all. We all got ba got a fucking lgo number. Kubota. You have, I've got eight. I'm

**Bam Bam:** giving them one. You and I pagoda. You and I are at the same level, right? No, I

**Senator:** don't have anything. What planet are we living on? How about this? Where I, [00:58:00] how

**Bam Bam:** crazy. I've got a cab of

**Pagoda:** RAs and he says, yeah, I'm willing to get some from, from you.

How much of you want give five, 10. I've given some to Dave. I've got one cab and I'm chairing it over here. Well, it's, that's it. Now we gotta be doing, he

**Senator:** does not have a full tower. This, it's a business exchange. That's fine. Here's what

I'm

**Gizmo:** gonna say. Let me just, let me just say this. Okay. It's unreal.

Unreal. It's, you have created a perception. I did not mean

**Senator:** to, among the lizards. Oh, you had to. No, you can't have that many cigars. Can flying malice, hold on. I am I I'm taking this a step further. No, no. Hold on. Hold on. I have

**Bam Bam:** to interrupt for the listener. I was, I, I, I'll admit I did not. Have the inspiration to set up my tower until these

**Senator:** guys, that's not what, two issue?

No, I know that about, but it's, I didn't actually know what I had. This is about having a stockpile, like I was just a nuclear event. No, no. I was buying and you pretending like you have nothing . Can I just say I was, I was going to be, it's like it's got a closet full

**Poobah:** of hand sanitizer in the middle of the pandemic.

Yes.

**Senator:** [00:59:00] Accepting hand sanitizer, . Exactly. I'm feeling, I'm, I'm starting to feel attacked. I'm starting to resent implication. Let, lemme just feeling attacked. I was gonna, I

**Grinder:** was ready to come to your defense. And then you just literally hold yourself up to the crucifixion. To up to the cross. What

**Senator:** did I do? Just the lunacy of this whole commentary.

Oh, I, Carrie, yourself, Togo. We see the picture of the fucking tower. Tower tower. It's full to the Bri.

**Pagoda:** You've called it de market

**Bam Bam:** buddy . No, I don't

**Senator:** think so. All right,

**Gizmo:** so bam. Bam. Here's the problem. I don't, and, and, and, you know, let's go back to the accountability hour. All right. The grinder so eloquently called out.

I, here we are. No, no, no. Hold on. Let's just listen. I need some scotch here. . We've got bourbon. Here we are. It's really good. Here we are. The six of us. Let's ex bam, the six of us are sitting here last week going, you know, we really need to help this guy put himself in a position that he can really start feeling, feel confident to start acquiring some boxes and [01:00:00] really stop telling us how we are on a different level and we have more access so we have more resources and we talent

**Senator:** store an

**Gizmo:** aging program, aging programs, et

**Senator:** cetera.

And every time we're smoking, bam, saying, can I have one of those? Can I have one of those? I don't have that. No, no. Hold on, hold on.

**Bam Bam:** So the aging program literally just started this past week

**Senator:** because you just fired up your tower. That's right. But they've been aging in the Tupperware cuz you didn't buy them this week.

Bam. Bam. That's, that's what I wanna set 'em for a while. I haven't, I don't actually. Thank you. Hold on. I didn't know what I had. I'm your attorney speaker. I really didn't know what I

**Bam Bam:** had. Excuse. Let me, let

**Grinder:** me play your defense. Uh, thank you. Lemme

**Gizmo:** tell you this. He's doing, lemme just say he's doing a better job as you are.

This is, I need

**Senator:** defense attorney.

**Grinder:** Have, we have to reflect on the temporal nature of this discussion. When he bought those cigars. W when you all bought a lot of cigars. We all bought a lot of cigars. Connoisseur corner. We had a, we, we had a good few months there where we were spending thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars on cigars.

You were. And bam. As, [01:01:00] as we all were. But bam. BA's line of the party at that time was, you guys gotta help me, I can't do this. And, and everyone was helping, right? Yep. But,

**Senator:** but since then, this is a year and a half ago, just a quick point of information there. Bam. Has been towing that line up until he set up that town.

I know, I, I know. Not just a while ago. Literally as recent as last week, I'll be honest, I'll be so here's, I didn't

**Bam Bam:** know what I had, I really didn't know what I had. But

**Grinder:** that's, that's where I'm coming. Like he's, he, you know,

**Senator:** tell you, the guy admits

**Grinder:** that he

**Senator:** forgot it was in the fucking garage. I really didn't know.

I wouldn't be surprised if he forgot that he had these cigars. So, c Counselor, are you pleading insanity on his behalf? ? I'm just saying. I'm just saying book. I'm telling his head and his hand. I don't

**Grinder:** like that. I'm just, Let's have a little grace

**Senator:** in the, in the grace. A little. Little grace. Little grace. Do you know how many, do you know how much Manny showed?

Do you know how much grace I have shown this guy? He has more

**Gizmo:** grace. I've gotten him more. I'm giving us, I'm

**Poobah:** giving you fucking you too. From a decade ago.

**Senator:** No, [01:02:00] I know. For your

**Poobah:** birthday to try and get you moving in the right direction.

**Senator:** Puba Rooster Gizmo. You had my back.

**Poobah:** You, meanwhile you got boxes of these things.

I didn't, the

**Gizmo:** away I really didn't know. So he is pleading insanity. I didn't know. So

**Rooster:** you, you belong to the same groups that we belong to, first of all, you know the same sites that we sourced the cigars from. Yes.

**Gizmo:** Right.

**Rooster:** But still, I mean, we were kind of in the dark that you had the selection.

**Gizmo:** I will

**Senator:** tell you, and look, I will just say this is the.

Problem for me. Problem. Problem. Yes. This is a problem. . This is a problem. It has a big clearer. This is a problem, Poopa. This is actually a problem. This is a problem. So this is a problem. This is insane. . This is the last problem. You've set all of us here. So what's been established now at this point, you have literally the same amount of cigar as I do.

Maybe the same rooster does. No fucking way. The probably [01:03:00] more. No way. There's no way tower. He's just a tower. Come on. Don't put, I think that's a little, let's enter the red reality, please. All right, hold on. Hold on. I I'll Rooster and Cuba. You guys, your cow? No hold. Cuba has a tower full, is

**Gizmo:** that

**Poobah:** correct? I have one tower.

A lot of which. A lot

**Gizmo:** of a shit,

**Senator:** right? Yes. Right. So he has a tower full of sticks. You and I have a tower full of sticks. Yes. Pagoda has how much of a tower? 50%. 50 50% of a tower. Now, now, now, hang on. Grindr has a double y. Yeah, he does. He does. Yeah. And his chalk full. I know that. I didn't mention Grindr in that.

All right. Now what I'm saying is I think that you would sit here and say that Puba and I have been very generous to you with cigars. Have we? Have you have? Yes. Now I Would you say that you have reciprocated that ? Are you saying that I have a reciprocated? Is that true? I, I think I am. Yes. Yes. I think I am.

What the f?

**Gizmo:** This is the bam, bam.

**Senator:** Accountability hour. This [01:04:00] is crazy. Are you gonna deny that?

He's reaching, by the way, for the listener. He's, I mean,

**Gizmo:** he's holding too fun to doors. Two Trinidad . I asked for a fiber .

**Senator:** The ones, the ones that I did. We weren't, look, no one was offended when we thought you had no cigars. But when you show a full tower with his great sticks as you have, I'm sitting there saying, well, that's funny.

No one's ever offered me anything in that time. I'll be honest. Wait, Senator, you're so hold that. He also has, I'll be honest,

two

**Gizmo:** desktops

**Senator:** I've had you at my place. I've opened Terra pick one. You take a class. Desktops are

**Bam Bam:** bullshit. I will tell you that I didn't, I didn't know. I really didn't know everything that I had because I just threw everything in a tupper door and I forgot about it.

I did. Here's what I'm gonna say. And I had my desktops. Let's go to that. All

**Gizmo:** one desktop. Any, any other, any more Tupperwares too, right?

**Bam Bam:** No, I actually just made my tower. It just, it's just perfect amount of, uh, stock. One desktop is new worlds and one is our, from our trip to Cuba. All those really wet Cubans that we got.

Yeah, and that's all I have. All right,

**Gizmo:** [01:05:00] so here's my to tell. Here's, here's my question. Okay? My question is, is that you have had six, seven, however many Tupperware containers sitting around. Yeah. I understand that. You may not know every single, I didn't know box that you have. I really did not know, but it's as if you forgot you had these containers of Tupperware, the way that you operate.

**Bam Bam:** I didn't know what I had . I'm, I'm gonna be blunt. It's honest insanity.

**Senator:** Yeah, yeah. Maybe he's pleading

**Grinder:** insanity. Hey, it's, it's not, it's, it's ignorance. Let's, it's not, yeah.

**Bam Bam:** A little bit, honestly. So I just forgot about it because I was, you know, I'm not gonna give you

**Senator:** excuse. I guess he's a man. Just to, just to put a fight on it.

Just to put a fight point. I dunno what to say ladies and gentlemen. Well, listen, listen, what gizmo's saying there is, okay. I'm willing to accept that you forgot what just would've been nice is not for years hearing. I have nothing. I have, you guys have so much, it's thing to say, like, I don't know what I have.

That's one thing, but to actively tell us regularly. Can I tell you what it [01:06:00] was? I have nothing. I have so little you guys have, I was, it's creating this perception times nothing. So we're sitting here. A fucking Jesus people were bamboos. He's not wrong. We were bamb, we were bamb, we

**Bam Bam:** were bam bamboos. You know what it was?

I was intimidated by all you guys. You had the loosies, you had the eight 90 eights, you had the schwa supreme. These are cigars that for me, seem unattainable. I just hold on bullshit. They aged up in, into ridiculous. I have three boxes of those, but they're, they're, they're like

**Senator:** 20, 20 14. I don't have 20. No, no, they're 20

**Bam Bam:** eighteens.

Those three are 2018. On the advice of

**Grinder:** counsel. I insist that you plead the fifth. Okay. .

**Bam Bam:** I am ladies. So for the listener, I'm moving my mic away.

**Senator:** You're digging

**Bam Bam:** a fucking hole, man. I thought it was moved away.

**Gizmo:** Here,

**Poobah:** listen, you have the same. So thanks to this group and, and, and thanks. , you know, the group that we belong to Yeah.

And all of the Yeah, yeah, yeah. All of the, the work that everybody collectively has done to, to, to be able to source, uh, Cuban cigars. [01:07:00] You have all of those clearly, as I've learned, simplified by, I've learned

**Senator:** your tower, dude.

**Poobah:** And, and, and I've learned a lot from you guys. Right, right. I have. So, so, so I think that the ongoing narrative that Senator.

Pounded into the ground here. Um, , uh, uh, uh, you know, it's something

**Senator:** with bam. It needs to be pounded into the ground.

**Gizmo:** clearly pound

**Poobah:** down that, you know, this is, uh, this is something that, you know, you have to take a hard look at yourself and look at this as an opportunity for improvement and for

**Gizmo:** the listener.

Again, I find this, this is hard.

**Senator:** Bam, as, as grinder said last week, bam, bam. I, I'm on board. I'm on board, I'm on. And the thing I'll say, if the, if shoe was on the other foot, you'd feel similarly. If I told you that I have nothing and I sent you that photo with a full tower and you were giving me sticks because you felt bad, you would sit there and say, what the f How?

How does this guy have all these? I don't know. They're not even partial

**Gizmo:** boxes. I don't, can I, can I raise your question? I dunno what to say anymore there. Raise a point here, Sandra. They're not

**Senator:** even partial

**Gizmo:** [01:08:00] boxes. They're full boxes. They're full boxes. He's got extra singles. By the way, we're not even getting into that.

He sent those pictures too. We got six pictures. Uh, grinder. I thought I would impress

**Bam Bam:** you guys. I've actually

**Senator:** done, oh, we were impressed. It is, it's, I impressive you incriminated yourself. I'm trying to keep up

**Gizmo:** with you guys. If Felix, so Grindr made a point last week as we were going through the bam bam accountability hour , and he made a point.

I can't believe that. I don't know if I'm gonna, I don't know if I'm gonna say, well, I mean, how could it not be at this point? Okay, this is a sin. Uh, for Grindr made a point that the bam bam, accountability hour accountability, it's gonna hurt for a few weeks and then it's gonna really start. So to feel better, you're gonna feel better.

I, so what you need to do is internalize. This deep criticism I have of your own habits. And I am really, yeah, I am. You're on the defense.

**Bam Bam:** No, no. I, you know what? I've internalized it, so, and I continue

**Gizmo:** to do so. What is your, what is, what is your client talk

**Grinder:** to us for? This is, there's a couple things again that I wanted to say.

One, I think we should use this moment [01:09:00] as a, as a pivot. Hmm. To use a, a common parlance of the day. Thank you. We're, thank you. We're gonna pivot away from the past and look forward. Okay. Thank you. Thank you. You're, you're a new man. You're going. I am. You're so in it. You're going to fucking Cuba on a whim.

**Senator:** You're like, you're smoking Cuba's. You know what? Cuban cigars for a week in Cuba. You're a Cuban

**Grinder:** aficionado man.

**Bam Bam:** Dude, honestly, I, that's exact. Uh, and I'm riding on coattails of gizou.

**Gizmo:** Can I say, by the way, on my coattails, I was in Cuba for doubt. A week with this. You would've thought that he's never seen a Cuban cigar before

Yeah, it's true. Okay. Why You would've never thought that this guy

**Senator:** had rooster. I

**Bam Bam:** walked into a parus shop over there. I felt,

**Gizmo:** lemme tell you, his tower has way more parus heavenly than the parus shop has . I dunno about

**Senator:** that. So you have bam, bam. You have, you have

**Gizmo:** a hundred

**Senator:** percent, you have

**Grinder:** the, the, the 2 2500 sticks in the tower in the season tower.

Mm. You have a collection that is resoundingly phenomenal. It's excellent. It's, it's, it's. Wonderful cigars we all love

**Senator:** and enjoy [01:10:00] every day. You, you have, I would say more Cubans and Grindr does. Absolutely.

**Grinder:** A hundred percent. A hundred percent fact, fact

**Senator:** fact. Total fact.

**Grinder:** And I would say that at this moment, you're one of the most enlightened, uh, cigar aficionados.

No. In the gen pop as, uh, I'm not, as they say in the gen pop, I don't the,

**Gizmo:** this humility exercise ends today. So you

**Grinder:** need, you need to understand that you got it going on, man. So I'm

**Bam Bam:** looking forward. All it's easy to buy no more woe is me. It's very difficult to understand what you're buying. And I'm trying to learn about

**Poobah:** what I'm buying.

Totally. I want some Corona's, Claro, I wanna fund the, do you got it? I want to fucking lgo. O Okay. I want, this is bullshit. I fucking this. I mean, am I nuts? No,

**Gizmo:** no. I imagine can just, the way, when I got that picture, what I was imagining Puba was bam, bam. Sitting there and saying, bam. . This is bam. This is bam.

Yeah. We have way more stock than we expected to. It's true. It's true.

**Bam Bam:** Right? And I wouldn't have done it if you guys didn't inspire [01:11:00] me to do it. But let's this, I would not have done it.

**Grinder:** This would, this podcast would not be the same without your malfeasance. It's, it's ti

**Senator:** it's time. Agree. My mouth feas.

**Rooster:** It's time to

**Gizmo:** reciprocate.

Okay. You got em.

**Senator:** The, the theme is when you have a lot, you share, as we all do.

**Bam Bam:** Honestly, I think all of you are much more sophisticated buyers of Cuban cigars. Enough, enough

**Gizmo:** of that. Come on,

**Bam Bam:** on. Gizmo knows where I buy my cigars. There's two guys. Me,

**Senator:** no, you and two other guys at six. Guess what this has has nothing to do with the source.

We're not sitting like, oh, well you, you source from this guy resource. No, ma'am. That's not true. Manam. You've missed the point. You've missed the point. All right. This has nothing to do with, well, I source from this guy and you source from that guy. It has to do with when you have a lot I you share. That's what the moral of the story is.

Puba,

**Bam Bam:** I'm looking at you. I have learned a lesson tonight. I have learned a lesson

**Poobah:** when we talked about the, the Vegas, Romania [01:12:00] Classico, right? When we talked about it, I actually listened to the episode. You fucking guys have

**Senator:** boxed that shit. We don't. I have a fucking moon. I have three. I have half a box.

And I gave you your first one You ever spoke? Yes, you did. Yes you did. Senator, that, hold on. What a generous person does

**Poobah:** talk about inspired me. So listen, I want you to walk away from this conversation with this notion, and, uh, if anyone disagrees, raise your hand. The, the smoking cigar. Think about it.

Smoking cigars and, and sharing cigars with people is part of the pastime in the hobby. It's actually intrinsic to it. So don't make me cry. So, Think about that when, when we do a review of whatever it is, whether it's, it's, uh, it's the Monte Christo, whatever special cigars you have. All I can say is, and I'm not patting myself on the back, but all I'll say is every special cigar that I've ever [01:13:00] sourced.

Ever, yeah. I've shared with the group. Same here. Same here. Period. Can I, every single special cigar that I've ever, ever sourced, ever in my life, I've shared with the group. Can I spot on?

**Bam Bam:** Can I say this spot on my tower is your tower? All of you

**Poobah:** and I Well, that's how all of us think.

**Bam Bam:** Absolutely. So I'm just saying I'm, and I'm

**Senator:** just getting my tower now.

You've had it for nine months. I know, I know. I gave away. I just,

**Poobah:** I gave that classic coast was so good. It was incredible. I gave away more classic coast bro than I smoked. Can I

**Bam Bam:** tell you that? Am I

**Senator:** wrong?

**Poobah:** No, no. I gave away more than I smoked when I first saw them, because I said, this cigars so good, I can't just enjoy the alone.

**Senator:** That fucking

**Bam Bam:** class ago, that class

**Senator:** was the catalyst. But that cigar brother, that was, that, that

**Bam Bam:** cigar was a catalyst to all of our Cuban

**Senator:** experience. Fine. So what I'm trying to, of the Cuban viola, so he's saying the catalyst, then you should reciprocate. He's,

**Poobah:** in other words, that is the agreed, the part of this hobby that is, is a hundred percent is, is actually integral to it.

So, uh, in my [01:14:00] mind, my mentality, Well, what am I gonna just smoke this in a vacuum? Am I just gonna smoke this and enjoy the Well, it's not enjoyable unless you share the experience with somebody else. That's right. So, so you gotta I agree. I mean, when Rooster comes, of course, okay, I know. And he goes, Hey everybody.

He brings not just seven, he brings the whole fucking box and goes, here guys, pick the one, pick one, look at the foot and pick one that you like. He goes that far to do that. So what I'm saying is, is that this is the mentality agreed of the hobby. I agree. And that that's what should be done. I

**Bam Bam:** don't, period, hard stop.

I don't disagree. And my tower is all of your towers. What does that mean?

**Gizmo:** ru That's a good question, Russ. Am I wrong? You're not

**Rooster:** wrong. No. That's what should be done. That's what agreed we all do in this group.

**Gizmo:** That's true.

**Senator:** Now, like taboo's point, nothing brings me more joy. We all, now we've established you YouTube, bam.

You have to be able to say this. I am. We all have tremendous collections. All of us. Literally every person sitting here. I cannot, nothing [01:15:00] brings me more joy than when one of the guys here actually doesn't have something that I just happen to have. Right. And that I can provide because we're all very hard to shop for.

So as soon as like Rooster asked for Fundies the other day, I knew, I said, I'm gonna come here and watch football, and I finally have something that I can give Rooster that's gonna make his afternoon and I'm gonna bring him a fundi if Puba doesn't have something. Like he remember you ran outta Classicos before you got the, uh, most recent box.

Yeah, that's correct. And it was your birthday coming up. And I was like, you know what, I'm gonna give him a classic. And he gave me

**Poobah:** a very special

**Gizmo:** fucking

**Senator:** sample. And so a 2011 Yeah. A whole sampler. Exactly. A h Collibra, all this stuff like Right. Nothing brings me more joy. And every person here is the same way.

So what we're saying is like, Now that you have to accept, like you actually have, I have a tremendous collection. If I say, Hey, I've never had that before, I would hope that you would want to actually share something. Of course. So come on. And now, now that I've

**Bam Bam:** clearly defined my catalog, I don't know how it compares to yours, but honestly it's, I I would love to

**Senator:** share what I have.

Right. Here's,

**Gizmo:** here's a, I'd love to share what I have. This is, we, we are at [01:16:00] a moment now. Yes, we have, we have accomplished what we need to accomplish. Can we move on? No, we are not done. We just wanna say one, one more thing. Go ahead.

**Rooster:** The episode

**Gizmo:** that we did the classico on. Yes. Like a perfect example. Right.

**Rooster:** I brought what I had of the, we did the 2011. We, I also have the 2001 and you have

**Gizmo:** the 2000 ones. I have.

**Bam Bam:** Three. One of yours is in my box. All right, so that day you brought two, two, of course it's .

**Rooster:** You brought the two, you brought the 2001, and you didn't have the 2011 for the pod. And I said, well, that's why I brought extras so I can hand 'em out to whoever doesn't have one.

I

**Gizmo:** gave one. I That's right.

**Poobah:** And I did the same. I brought extras,

**Gizmo:** I brought, I brought three. Or with me, I saw that p p I saw because

**Rooster:** when you are partying, you want to be smoking the same cigars so you can have the same experience. Sure. So that's the point. Like if I, if I smoke a cigar the first time alone, I can't

**Gizmo:** wait to

**Rooster:** share that cigar with all the lizards.

Whether [01:17:00] we pot or not on it. Right. I mean, it's just, you wanna share and hopefully other lizards have the same experience. And that's why of course, that's what this hobby's all about. Of course. That's what cigars are all about. Yeah, of course. It's,

**Senator:** it's about

**Bam Bam:** sharing. And I haven't gotten into all of my cigars that I have.

Like I've smoked all those cigars, but I haven't really, like, you know, I haven't gotten, I haven't delved into them.

**Senator:** How does that jar of, uh, no smoke? You're gonna know soon. Okay. So I think, you know, here's, they're great. Yeah.

**Bam Bam:** Uh, gizmo has a jar of those. We're gonna have those. I've never

**Gizmo:** opened open. Of course.

I'm gizmo's jar Gimo. No, no. It's like kick. Get out

**Senator:** of this. Are you serious? I'll bring the whole fucking

**Gizmo:** jar. Put put it on that table. Okay. All right. The horse is the dead horse. The horse is dead. Is officially. To the point that we needed to now, yes. There's a few things that we need to do to wrap up the bam bam.

Accountability hour. . There more. What is a listener? This is

**Senator:** an ex exercise. This, this is clinical guys. This is an exercise. This is where he does the blood [01:18:00] oaths. This is crazy. This is an exercise. This is branding.

**Bam Bam:** This is, I'm getting a brand.

**Senator:** Yeah, yeah. You're getting the lizard brand. Bam.

**Gizmo:** This is, this is crazy.

Listen to me. All right. You're gonna repeat after me? No, I, bam, bam. Repeat. Go ahead. I, bam. Bam. Have a phenomenal collection. Have

**Bam Bam:** a decent collection. Oh, here we

**Gizmo:** you are. Here we go.

**Senator:** Fucking go. Alright. Have a phenomenal

**Gizmo:** collection that not only am I going to stop saying is mediocre,

**Bam Bam:** that not only am I gonna stop saying it's

**Gizmo:** mediocre, but I'm also going to share with my fellow

**Bam Bam:** lizards.

But I will absolutely share with all of my lizards in this room,

**Gizmo:** and I'm going to stop telling the listener.

**Bam Bam:** And I'm going to stop telling the listener

**Gizmo:** that I don't have any cigars. I only

**Bam Bam:** did that twice, but I'll stop telling the listener that I don't have any cigars.

**Gizmo:** Okay. Very important. Thank you.

Still fine. Now we have

**Poobah:** a beekeeper mask. Which

**Bam Bam:** header?

**Grinder:** No, [01:19:00] I, I will say, um, bam. Ban has been more than generous to me on many occasions by sharing sticks Indian. And, uh, I don't want to get the, the impression to the listener that he's not a generous person. I love you. Grand. Okay,

**Senator:** so we're all gonna need to change our name to Grinder then.

**Rooster:** You're a

**Gizmo:** good, well, he

**Rooster:** a good, obviously retained you

**Gizmo:** for a fee.

**Senator:** Yeah, it's very good box. The Lucy, my man. . Yeah.

**Poobah:** Oh God. You're a good sport and we

**Gizmo:** love you all. You listen. Okay. I love you. Let us just say we love bam. Bam. This was an important moment for all the lizards out there. We've had a few lizards despite what bam, bam thinks.

We've had a few lizards email, if you heard of the best of one of them, said If bam bam was doing this in my group, he'd be out. Aw, that's housebreaking. He said it

**Bam Bam:** name is Bill for listener. For that listener, I want to reassure you, the tower is set and now the generosity will begin. Look at that.

**Gizmo:** Look at that.

This is so now, now that we know what we [01:20:00] have, so now what I would say is we have successfully complet. The bam bam. Accountability. Are you

**Pagoda:** sure? Do you want bam to call ba ?

**Senator:** No.

**Bam Bam:** Hey, solidify the bam bam has talked to Bam. And we're good

**Poobah:** ba we're good. And you know what the great thing is, is that moving forward, he was, he was, uh, smart enough to send us the entire list of what his humor, everything that was intentional.

Uh uh, which was, that was. And so I will give you

**Senator:** credit for full transparency. Intentional. Yes. Um,

**Bam Bam:** and I urge all lizards in this room to do the same , get an inventory going unless

**Poobah:** you keep your humidor like me, like pigpen .

**Gizmo:** Oh gosh. Well, I, I genu, this is gonna sound like I'm being sarcastic. I'm not. I am seriously thrilled that not only do you have your tower set up, it's organized brilliantly.

Mm. You have an excellent collection that you should be proud of, and every single wizard would be proud of. And you should start smoking the shit out of it. I

**Bam Bam:** tend to be [01:21:00] more ho on, take the humble road on things. .

**Gizmo:** I appreciate that you have an excellent collection. Thank you. Sure do. Thank you. Does anybody disagree with that?

Not at all. No. Thank you

**Bam Bam:** so much. It's fantastic. You know that your opinions all in this room mean a lot to me, and I've learned

**Senator:** tremendously. We're deadly serious when we say that you have 99 guys in this room, plus percent of everything we do. Absolutely. So that

**Bam Bam:** that means a lot. I didn't know that. Yeah.

Honestly, I didn't know. I

**Poobah:** didn't know it. It may be true. He, he is a, he, you know, he's like Dan Cortez. Remember Dan Cortez and the Sun Feld episode. What? Because he's not good looking. Remember the guy tv and then just everything. And then Jor. Jor George. George Costanza has the man crush. Yeah. Yeah.

Remember, uh, Dan Cortez, you gotta step off. He's a man. There's a man. What? What's up at this? It's a mambo. He's a mabo.

**Senator:** Step off, step off. Step off. Step off.

**Gizmo:** That's okay. Step off, man. Alright, well, I think we did, I think we did exactly what we needed to do. This was a very important moment. Thank you. And I think this is, uh, as, as Grinder said, we've pivoted now.

**Senator:** Gizmo you could take over for Morty or any of these shows. , [01:22:00] I was very impressed with your moderation to this.

**Bam Bam:** Mor thank you. Now to, not to change the subject , but this,

**Poobah:** we have the results right here.

**Senator:** is, bam, the father, he's the, bam. This is bam. ,

**Poobah:** not bam. You are the

**Senator:** father. . I don't know what to say.

**Bam Bam:** Uh,

**Pagoda:** not the, you don't say, I don't know what to say.

You say bam. Does not know what to say. Bam.

**Gizmo:** Does not know. Bam. Let's, let's go back to the my father's thing, honestly. So we are, we are in the last third here, boys. It is very good. It's still very good. Now I wanna say one thing that I, I anticipated and it did come to pass. I did have to do a second cut. Um, mind, not me, me get a little wet.

I got a little bit of a tar blast while we were kind of, not me at all, busting bas balls. No, no. And, uh, I did a little cut and it opened right up. It's, it's perfect. Hmm. Very similar to some of the funded doors that I've had where I've needed to do that. You,

**Bam Bam:** I think this cigar will get a very high rating by

**Gizmo:** Bamba.

I'm, I'm really enjoying this. I'm really enjoying it. What do you guys think? For

**Senator:** me, it's been [01:23:00] consistent, which is all I wanted outta this stick because it started off pretty strong. Yeah. And, um, I'm in the final third and I'm still enjoying it.

**Grinder:** Yeah.

**Bam Bam:** Yeah. The delivery is

**Gizmo:** fantastic. Uh, what do you think of it?

Grindr?

**Grinder:** Uh, do you want me to do my rating now or do you No, no. Um, , my, my cigar is out. Um, do you need a light?

**Senator:** No. Well, you were hard at work as the defense attorney. I was at

work.

**Gizmo:** Oh, you're done with me. It's gonna, I feel like it's gonna pay dividends when you get your, uh, Lucy cap.

**Senator:** I,

**Grinder:** I am, uh, I it's a good cigar.

I, it, it definitely turned stringent on me. Uh, um, just about here, uh, probably about an inch and a half left. Okay. So tar? Um, no, and it's not enjoyable. Mm-hmm. But a lot of it was good. Hmm. And, uh, I look forward

**Gizmo:** to having another one. You, you

**Rooster:** might have been smoking it a little fast from what I see, like where you are,

**Gizmo:** you know, as

**Grinder:** opposed to Oh yeah, totally.

To, uh, yeah, that's

**Bam Bam:** probably why. So I'm about an inch and a quarter away from the end. . Honestly, you guys are, I'm, I'm a little ahead of you guys, but I am [01:24:00] really still enjoying this. I'm not that far. Me too. I'm not that far tremendously

**Gizmo:** enjoying this car. I, I feel like, I feel like I'm certainly gonna go out and buy a box of these.

Oh, absolutely. At 217 bucks. I mean, there's nothing left. . I'm definitely gonna A box. They're all in Bams Tower. Yeah. .

**Senator:** It's the second row. Damn. You Senator .

**Rooster:** He might have a second tower that we don't

**Gizmo:** know about. Yeah.

**Senator:** Can you

**Bam Bam:** turn off senators? Mikey .

**Senator:** That was Rooster, by the way. .

**Gizmo:** Pbo. Uh, you were a little critical of the cigar.

Yeah. How you feel about it right

**Poobah:** now? Yeah. I, I feel like, I feel like it was a good cigar. I mean, it didn't pull my hair back. I wasn't blown away by it, but it was, it was, it was pleasant enough for me. And at 10 bucks, you know, if someone

**Senator:** gave this to you on an afternoon, you'd smoke it.

**Gizmo:** Yeah, I'd, I'd smoke it

**Poobah:** for sure.

Yeah.

**Bam Bam:** Yeah. I'm surprised by how good it is, honestly. What do you think

**Pagoda:** Pagoda? Oh, I really, uh, Enjoyed it, and I've had no negative, uh, flavors at all. Agreed. And, uh, for me, I think, uh, I gotta agreed. I'm, I'm [01:25:00] gonna go out and get a box right

**Gizmo:** away. Yeah, a hundred percent. I'm definitely ordering a box tonight.

A hundred percent because I just, I love this vitola. We've said it a thousand times, we've said it twice on this podcast already. The Landero is so awesome as a, as a viola. I wish there were more of them. You know, Lance Cerros and Lonsdale are just. Excellent. To,

**Senator:** to your point is some of the guys in this room will remember this cuz a few of us did it when we were at another lounge of ours.

We did a new world Landero night. Yeah. Just based on what we could buy in that shop there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And we did an Oliva v Landero. Yep. A Herrara. Her Herrera. Elli. There was the third and, uh, a Drew estate. Like, nor Yeah. It was like a darker one, but

**Bam Bam:** also that unusual, that guy that came and presented.

Remember that cigar? I don't

**Senator:** remember the name of it. Oh. Didn't do that. That's like a hundred dollars land. Sarah San San Sanai. We didn't

**Bam Bam:** do that. We didn't do that. Okay.

**Senator:** No. Okay. Um, but we did those [01:26:00] three and, uh, it was the Drew State that won that night. Yeah. But smoking this for me would place ahead of all agree.

Three of those I just mentioned. I agree. Really,

**Gizmo:** Senator. I agree with you. Wow. Yeah. And, uh, I gotta say as, as we've been talking and laughing, um, The bourbon has really, really held up wonderfully. I'm glad it doesn't have the rough edges that a lot of bourbons do. It does. I

**Bam Bam:** agree. It does need a little bit of

**Gizmo:** ice.

You need to, yeah. I'm glad I put a, you know, rooster gave me a couple chips as we were pouring. Yeah, yeah. I think that opened it up just enough. Smoothed it out. Yeah. It's delicious though. And it's only 10 years, so I mean, it's, it's it for what it is. I was really impressed that How much is bourbon? That's long That, that, you know what?

That's a good

**Senator:** point. Yeah. Let's just speak. I'm comparing bbo. Scott never puts age statements on stuff. I always pursue bourbons that put an age statement. We did Eagle Rare Way. Mm-hmm. in the early days, I feel like of the podcast We did. Yeah. And I love Eagle Rare because it actually puts a 10 year age statement on there.

Yeah. It's

**Bam Bam:** expensive though. Um,

**Gizmo:** compared to this. It's hard to find too.

**Senator:** [01:27:00] Well, e I mean, the, the actual retail price of Eagle Rare is very cheap. It's 40 bucks a bottle. It's the resale all. Yeah, it's the resale because it's so hard to find now that they're just jacking it up. So how much

**Gizmo:** was this bottle, Ben?

I

**Bam Bam:** want to say it's like 60 bucks. Okay. Something like that. If I remember.

**Gizmo:** So I, I would think that at a reasonable retailer, the eagle wear is probably fairly comparable to that. It's probably 70, 75, maybe. I like this better though.

**Senator:** I feel like I like this better. This goes for that too, though. Honestly, there's like a big range on this.

I've seen this as high as even 80 something. Wow. Yeah. It's true. Okay. It's true. It really depends. Yep.

**Gizmo:** Excellent. So are you guys ready to do the, uh, formal liquor rating on the Widow Jane tenure? Oh, yeah. All right. Bam. Bam. You're up.

**Bam Bam:** I'm giving this a nine.

**Gizmo:** Nine. Okay. Grinder. It's my favorite bourbon. It's very good. Yeah. Grinder. How are you feeling about it? Uh,

**Grinder:** I'm giving it a solid seven. Okay. Um, it's a little more alcohol content for me.

It's a little bite even with the, the,

**Bam Bam:** the water ice. The ice, yeah, the ice. [01:28:00] Bam, bam. Like a

**Grinder:** bite. Um, and I, I, you know, I just have other bourbons that I like more, and, you know, It's a solid seven.

**Senator:** Okay. What would you put ahead of it, just outta curiosity? I, so

**Grinder:** this is kind of embarrassing. I would take a, uh, a sweeter, smoother makers over this any day.

**Bam Bam:** This doesn't have the 46. This doesn't have any sweetness for you, really? No.

**Grinder:** Wow. I think it's

**Senator:** the, the bite that I go, I, I won't argue with. I, I, I have like a. For some reason this like love for makers that I'll like never, ever shake. That's true. So I don't, I can't, I can't shit on that at all. And you Knowm obviously you

**Grinder:** introduced is greats is great.

Yeah. That's a phenomenal It is. I got another bottle as a gift. This my, this recent birthday. That's great. Super again. And it, and I have, it's gone. Uh, it's a great, it's a great bourbon. Um, there's a lot of really good bourbons out there. What about that four

**Gizmo:** roses that you guys have? Small batch. Small batch.

That was, that was really

**Senator:** good. I was

**Grinder:** impressed. Yeah. The small batch is, is pretty good. The, the normal four roses is we did a, we did a bourbon [01:29:00] tasting. Yeah. The normal four roses is hard to taste at my, my place. And we did four roses. Remember

**Senator:** the bourbon tasting? I think think that was like the regular one, right?

Yeah. Yeah. It

was

**Grinder:** the regular one. Small batch special select that's hard on the heart. And that, that placed at the

**Senator:** bottom of the, of the tasting. Yeah. Really? Yeah. Which honestly is why, I'm glad you brought that up. Cuz these guys remember when. A listener had recommended and a friend that Four Roses Oh yeah.

Had recommended that. And my view of Four Roses very colored by like some of their more entry level stuff that I just don't find that enjoyable. And like Grindr said, we did a blind tasting of this and it scored like way at the bottom. So I was so skeptical of that. But that particular bottle, I give a lot of credit.

It it, it's

**Gizmo:** actually a really good bourbon. Yeah. Very good. All right. So Bam was at a nine. Grindr is seven. Pagoda. Eight. Eight.

**Pagoda:** Yeah. I'll definitely go and uh, probably get a bottle of this.

**Gizmo:** Okay. Senator.

**Senator:** I've been debating between eight and a nine, but I think I'm firmly an eight. Um, I'm not a huge bourbon guy, but this is one of, uh, one of the bourbons that when, you know, [01:30:00] we're at one of our lounges and a guy has a bottle and offers me some.

It's one of the few bourbons that I will happily drink. And, um, I have really nothing bad to say about

**Gizmo:** mm-hmm. . I'm, I'm at a nine for sure. I really enjoyed this bourbon tonight. Oh, nice. Good to hear. I'm. Very pleasantly surprised by this. Yeah. I love that. It's made in Brooklyn. Yep. Um, I, I, it paired up perfectly, very pleasant for me on my pallet.

I loved it.

**Poobah:** Puba. Yeah, I, um, I'm kind of between the seven and an eight. I did like it. I'm gonna give it an eight. Um, nice. Nice. So I'd, I'd recommend it, you know, uh, what's the price point on it again? 60 bucks. Hmm. Yeah.

**Gizmo:** Yeah. Eight. So the formal liquor rating on the widow Jane tenure is an 8.2. Very good.

Score. Score. Great. Score fair. That's a fair, that's a perfect score for this. Yeah. Yeah.

**Senator:** And I'll just say, uh, I didn't explain really my eight and why I was debating between the two. Um, the, the one complaint I have with this bourbon, um, it, it's [01:31:00] like a blessing and a curse in that for its proof. , it drinks smooth with a little ice, but I want a little more flavor out of it.

Like Grindr mentioned m that I like, like M's. It lets you know it's there. Like it, it's got a lot of flavor. And this is a, a bit more mellow in the flavor department. It has the alcohol, it's got the proof, it's got the strength does, but it's just a little mellower

**Bam Bam:** flavor. Think if you're careful with the amount of ice you put in a chip or two, you'll get that experience.

I think. I think that's fair actually.

**Pagoda:** Uh, somebody in the lounge, uh, just offered me a little bit of taste of, uh, the widow Jane. Uh, I forgot the name. It was, uh, it was a different, uh, they have a few. Yeah, it's on my phone actually. It's very sweet. But that was very sweet, very mapley and very sweet and, um, a little more, I think viscus and, you know mm-hmm.

there was a little bit more viscosity. Yeah. Just to say, it's very difficult to say mm-hmm. , but, you know, depends. I, I think, uh, [01:32:00] they, they are doing really good stuff

**Gizmo:** though.

**Poobah:** I, I, I think it's a, for a New York made and distilled bourbon, I mean, to even put it. With Mick, like a, a Kentucky bourbon. Like M's, it's surprising.

That's a legendary Yeah. To even be in the same conversation. This kind of one thing. Not there. I mean, you know, it's, you're talking about a bourbon that's been being made for Yeah, it's legendary, you know, decades and decades and decades, maybe longer, and to, you know, so credit, kudos to these guys that they're able to actually produce something.

Mm-hmm. in New York state. That's that, that, you know, that that's in city that, that's good. So it's impressive, you know, that's, that's, that's an impressive accomplishment. I mean, you're not gonna be able to compete really. Yeah. With Kentucky, with . With Nickers in, in the legendary distiller like that. Very fair.

**Gizmo:** You know, very,

**Senator:** just, just to what you said there, Puba, I, I mean, I was just looking up widow Janey when we were trying to figure out the origin of the. And I guess my [01:33:00] perception of being made in Brooklyn and you know, we know of bourbon as really coming from Kentucky and for some reason I have this clearly misperception that, you know, maybe the ingredients it, it just doesn't.

Hold itself to the same standard. And I'm really surprised when you read the story of Widow Jane. Ingredients are like their pride and joy. They have this whole thing. Widow Jane is the only distillery to use gmo free ingredients at every point in their process. The grain that's used in it is sourced from a town 10 minutes away from the widow janene mine.

Like That's cool. It's all local. Yeah. It's fresh. Yeah. Like there's just a cool story about that. Yeah. That I wouldn't really expect from a a, a distillery that's spaced in Brooklyn. Yep. I just think that's a really cool part of their

**Gizmo:** story. Very cool.

**Poobah:** Yeah, it's a very cool part of their story. And, and, and they're not the only ones who are, who are kind of doing this in, up in New York state, in the Hudson Valley and are making, are making in, you know, maybe distilling in there or bottling in Brooklyn or whatever they're doing.[01:34:00]

There are other companies that are doing. So Hudson, this

**Gizmo:** makes Hudson me Hudson. This makes me want to try more. Yeah, I

**Poobah:** agreed. I agreed. Yeah, it does. So they, they, they do a pretty good job and, and to be comparing it to something like Victors is good company,

**Gizmo:** make time. I think an 8.2 is a perfect score for this.

Agreed. Yeah, I think, I think it really delivered. Yeah. So we're coming to the end boys of the my father number four lands. I've really enjoyed this start to finish. It's picked up a little bit in the last third in a really, really pleasant way that I'm kind of surprised at. Yeah. A lot of pepper now. Yeah.

Any final thoughts before we uh, rate this thing,

**Bam Bam:** uh, complex? I think Senator mentioned it earlier. It is a complex cigar for $10. I'm still enjoy for $10. I'm

**Rooster:** still enjoying it. Me three. Yeah. Yeah. I'm on the last third and I'm still enjoying it. And this is to. The best lenaro, new world

**Gizmo:** I've ever had.

Agreed.

**Bam Bam:** Yeah. And at three quarters of an inch from the end, it's still very enjoyable.

**Gizmo:** Yeah. Yeah. It's very good.

**Rooster:** And it's like everything that I, I want out of a [01:35:00] cigar, I'm getting out of this great flavor. The construction is great. Uh, maybe I had to relight it

once,

**Gizmo:** not not at all for me. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. So, excellent cigar, great cigar.

Yeah. All right, rooster, you ready to do the, uh, formal wizard rating? Yeah. I

**Rooster:** mean, for all. You know, for those reasons, don't laugh at me, but I'm gonna give it a nine. Yeah,

**Gizmo:** excellent. It, it's not

**Rooster:** outlandish. It's, it's really satisfying smoke, and especially if you consider the price 10 bucks. The price

**Gizmo:** point on this

**Senator:** poop Puba is having an aneurysm for the listener.

literally convulsing in his cherry. These are the corner right now, not knowing

**Gizmo:** what to do. , the one thing I want to say is, uh, you know, rooster giving, you know, he has a reputation in this podcast, uh, of being a very, you know, he, he likes his age. Cubans Connoisseur Corner. , the fact that you're giving a new world Land zero that's under 10 bucks a nine Yeah.

Is really, really a testament to, to this cigar. Yeah. Agreed. It's a great [01:36:00] thing. Agreed. Agreed. And now for the contrary opinion, pubah. . Yeah.

**Poobah:** I mean, hon, you know, I, I'm gonna give this an honest review and it's, it's what I feel, and this is clearly been a polarizing cigar, but it's a six for me. I didn't, I didn't, wow.

Wow. I didn't, it's a six. Wow. I didn't love it. And then, and I'm, and for multiple reasons. So it's a six for me. It's a six. It's a six when you give, oh

**Gizmo:** my God.

**Rooster:** When you give Puba a new world stick,

**Gizmo:** please take the band sauce, . You know, that's, listen by the way the data shows. The data shows that he's right on par.

Cuban and non Cuban, which is the same for you,

**Poobah:** rooster. You know, I, I think that, you know, I'm gonna push back. I'm gonna, no, no, no. I'm gonna push back a little bit because there's Absolutely. Is

**Senator:** this an accountability hour or accountability? No, I'm gonna push back. Seriously. Thank you,

**Poobah:** Senator. There's absolutely no to, to even make an implication [01:37:00] that, uh, like there's vanity in, in anything that I smoke is complete bullshit.

Are you serious? ? There's absolutely zero. No. Is is an Ashton V S G A vanity cigar? No, like, like, like, like, or, or other, other new world cigars that I've rated a nine. The League of Nine. The illusion, like the, no, like the league, like, like other new world sticks. I've raided. I've rated eight and eight and nine.

No, he has like, like he that, I mean, please. Yeah, he has, this is bullshit. Yeah, there's so, no, uh, I didn't really like the cigar that much and Oh man, it, it, it, I thought it was good. I wouldn't buy one. If someone gave one to me, I'd smoke it. But I'm not investing an hour and 20 minutes in this particular Land Arrow.

It's not for me. And it is nothing to do with the fact that it's on my father. I mean, to me, I'm sorry.

**Gizmo:** It doesn't, I

**Poobah:** haven't had, why would I, why would I read the Cigar Low? Just because of the band on it. That's fucking insane.

**Gizmo:** I think he was [01:38:00] kidding. Okay.

**Poobah:** No, but, but no, because it's been mentioned. No, he wasn't.

He said no, he wasn't . He wasn't. Which is fucking lunacy. Because why would I, what if I liked it? Why wouldn't I be with you guys and saying, I'll go buy a box. Sure. What, what would be that motivation for me to be cool? Like, to be like a cooler guy? Like that's lunacy

**Rooster:** to me. This is the best lenaro I have ever smoked.

Well, I haven't had a better lens now

**Senator:** off the res. Yeah. So I can't say a new, I'm on that new, in a

**Rooster:** new world steak. What, what lenaro have you had that has delivered?

**Gizmo:** There's a

**Bam Bam:** foundation lenaro. That's actually very good, but the Tabernacle one. Yeah. Tabernacle.

**Gizmo:** Yeah. We should do that. I have not, I've

**Rooster:** not, yeah, I haven't had that.

So from the one I've had, I

**Gizmo:** mean this is, so here's, here's insanity. So we're gonna continue with the rating. So yeah, please. Rooster at a nine, Puba at a six. I'm gonna rate this right where I rated the Ashton V S G. It, it delivered as surprising an experience for me at an even lower price point. Than the [01:39:00] Vsg did.

And I'm also gonna give this a nine. Um, I gave the

**Poobah:** Vsg what? A nine.

**Gizmo:** A nine?

**Bam Bam:** You did? Thank you. Yeah, you did. I'm not dismissing.

**Gizmo:** No, he did. He did. I am not

**Senator:** my experience. Fair Puba smoked a lot of Ashtons before.

**Gizmo:** Cubs . He's an Ashton guy as we discussed. Okay.

**Poobah:** And you should be thanking me for bringing the, I mean, what the fuck?

It's true.

**Gizmo:** It's true. We're

**Senator:** just fusing your chop. .

**Gizmo:** Alright, so Rooster at a nine. Pub A six. I'm at a nine. I thought that this experience, and you know, it's still gonna go through the end of the episode here. Um, I'm, I've really enjoyed this. I'm going to buy a box tonight. Absolutely. Yeah. Very good. Senator, can you buy me a box?

Yes. . . Oh boy. . He has not

**Bam Bam:** changed

**Grinder:** this. That was a joke. That was a joke. What

**Bam Bam:** a sport. That was a joke. .

**Gizmo:** I'm kidding. For all the listeners who think I'm kidding. We're sitting here. We hate each other. It's not the case. I'll, I'll give you

**Rooster:** two for the two. Fundies.

**Gizmo:** right here, [01:40:00] baby.

**Senator:** They're waiting

**Gizmo:** for you. Senator.

Go.

**Senator:** So I've been between an eight and a nine on this and I, I always mention, I think it's impossible not to factor in price point. Totally agree. This cigar were $30. This wouldn't even be an eight. Um, but the fact that this is 10 bucks and even you can find it for cheaper than that. Um, I got around up to a nine on this.

Um, this is one of the few, you know, new worlds. , um, I would smoke again. Um, I'm not sure that this would like to be clear. This doesn't, this doesn't factor into my rotation as often as A V S G does or some of the other new worlds that have surprised us just because the flavor profile of those Yeah. Is bolder and, and more in line with what I typically crave in a new world cigar, but for an afternoon smoke when I just want something that's gonna be pleasant and satisfying, not too aggressive, and I'm not looking to light up a fundi that I can't easily.

And I want just a smaller ring age, land zero. I could have this in an afternoon and be [01:41:00] perfectly satisfied. So for that and the price point, I'll give it a nine.

**Gizmo:** All right.

**Pagoda:** Pagoda. I think I agree with Senator here because, uh, it's not in my flavor profile. Uh uh but at the same time, I think I've really enjoyed it.

Um, it's one of these cigar, I think if I come early to the lounge in the afternoon, uh, for me it's gonna be an in indoor cigar, as you know, as opposed to be, um, you know, like an outdoor. Um, I've really enjoyed it. I like, I'm at the knob. Um, it's a nine for

**Gizmo:** me. All right. Grinder.

**Grinder:** Um, so I was between a six and a seven.

Ooh. Um, because, you know, it's not that different from other Rio, you know, Rio, I guess Rosa Havana wrapper cigars I've had before. And I like Lance arrows. We talk about Lances. You've made that point. Um, when I think of. where I p slot this viola, it's always gonna get a seven because I just love it. So, I love the, [01:42:00] you know, even though I, I was a little aggressive on the burn when I slowed down, it was a great, you know, it's a great smoke and, and it forces you to, to kind of get into the moment and slow down and, and relax, right?

Um, for that reason, it's a seven for the other reasons. Um, you know, I didn't lend a six to this as, as a result of that, but it was, it was just, it was not, it was good. I'll, I'll, I'll grab it. If I'm offered it, I'll smoke it. I'm never gonna buy a box of it. Um, and, uh, There's so many other good cigars for me to smoke.

Uh, but it is a good, good experience. It's flavors are, are, are solid. Uh, I just didn't find it that inspiring. And what's your rating?

**Senator:** Seven, seven. Quick question. Is there a new world land so that you would smoke over this?

**Grinder:** Absolute, the norteno, I love that cigar. I have three boxes. Wow. Wow. Okay. We should do that.

Have we done it on the pocket? We should do it. Thought we

**Bam Bam:** did. No, no, no. We haven't done that. I have a few of those at home and they're, when you, when you take the, the wrapper to your [01:43:00] nose, it really looks and feels and smells like a very short, does imagine have three boxes in the home? No, of course. I have two

**Senator:** of those.

I have two sticks. He has three boxes. Oh yeah. Grindr has three. No,

**Bam Bam:** but, but imagine, imagine resenting the

**Grinder:** implication. Imagine that. Um, That liga flavor packed into that small enero. Yeah. It's crazy. But, but the, the li the Liga wrapper on those Nten nortenos is far richer. It's, it's very rich. And it, and then they pack it in that lenaro and they have this kind of mi mild binder.

It's like a lighter body binder. Yeah. It's phenomenal.

**Bam Bam:** It's, we should, we should do that on the podcast. We should do it that

**Grinder:** Norten. I should share the, the cigars. You should and bring them to the pod. Look at this. That's a, that's another lesson that Grindr learned. An love

**Senator:** it. An intimidating cigar. .

**Gizmo:** Yes.

Yes. So, uh, poo, uh,

**Bam Bam:** bam, bam. Yeah. So I'm, I'm echoing, you know, Senator, you mentioned earlier the Cuban esque nature of the cigar. It's, I think a hundred percent accurate. And just from those qualities, I know poop is gonna have an aneurysm. [01:44:00] I am gonna give this a nine. The price point at 10 bucks for the experience unparalleled for that price point.

**Senator:** I also wanna say just real quick, nice. You know, poo mentioned, you know, we, we don't pursue cigars for vanity's sake or anything like that. Yes, we do. But no, no. I, I, I agree with him. I, I certainly don't, um, I mean, there are sticks we smoke that look somewhat ridiculous that are, we love Collibras. I mean, they, they look like a joke and, and they're amazing.

And we thought they were a joke, , right. And we were completely blown away. But I just say that because what also surprised me about this cigar, and I, I think it's just worth saying, and gizmo kept using the word throughout this recording. elegant. Yeah, it looks like it, it does not look like a $10 cigar when Rooster handed me.

I'm sitting there like, how is this a my father's cigar? I just don't, you look at the judge and that looks like a rustic, it's a brick. I see a mess of a cigar. Yeah, it's a brick. It's a brick. This looks like an elegant cigar. The pigtail perfect at the end. Uh, invisible seams. I mean, I had now one construction complaint with the cigar.

No, and I, I think that [01:45:00] for 10 bucks, I don't know many sticks I would ever say that about, but

**Bam Bam:** honestly, even put it, put the viola aside, the everything, the experience that we've got for this, and then the notes in it, I can care less what the size is, the experience and the notes that I'm getting are off the charts.

**Gizmo:** Well, and I honestly, I think that all of the things you just said, bam, are correct, but they're only enhanced and bettered by the fact that they are, it isn't awan because I think that in the hand, uh, I don't know. Aside from Lonsdale, a better viola, I, I just think Alan, for me is. Absolutely what I want to have in my hand as often as I can.

That's true. What I find

**Pagoda:** interesting about this CIGA that, you know, it's been exciting, a bit polarizing, but very polarizing, exciting from the very beginning to the end. There are very few cigars that we go and we get so excited about CIGA that talk about with a certain amount of passion. And I think this just happens to be one of the cigars.

**Gizmo:** It had

**Poobah:** its rating. It had its moments. Moments. It had its moments for me. Yeah,

**Pagoda:** it does. No, it's like one of those rating. It

**Bam Bam:** did. What's the rating? Forget

**Gizmo:** the rating. The formal lizard rating, by the [01:46:00] way, uh, is an 8.3. Nice. So that's great. Here's, here's the thing. I wanna say that the pol from a polarizing standpoint of this cigar, number one.

There aren't a lot of cigars where we sit in the room together and there is quite a difference in the scores. Yeah, we're usually, usually kind of in the ballpark. So what I find interesting about this, and it kind of parlays into the fact that you know any listener out there and we know that there are listeners out there who kind of align with one or two of our pallets and kind of really relate to the way the pagoda smokes or the way the Puba smokes, or the way the rooster smokes and what each of us prefer.

So this is a good example of use the tool that we have on the website, the rating archive. If, if you align with a, a, a specific one of us that you align, you know, align with our pallet, this is a good example that if you align with pub's pallet, you align with grindr's pallet, it's this cigar may not be for you.

And that

**Bam Bam:** rating tool that you have online, it's an excellent resource to actually buy and stock your,

**Gizmo:** your humidor. Absolutely. It's fantastic. And you [01:47:00] know, there's a couple sixes in the room and there's a couple nines. I don't know the last time that that happened. Yeah. And I think that that's a really good, it's good exercise for the listeners.

We're all smoking the same cigar from the same source and we all had wild, wildly different experiences. And actually it was one six

**Rooster:** and one

**Gizmo:** seven. That's true. Yeah. Ah, okay. Yeah. You were the six, he was the seventh. Yeah. Yeah. And the rest of us were nines I think, or eights. Yeah. Nine 10th.

**Poobah:** I mean, the Lucy we smoked with Rob was a little polarizing.

**Gizmo:** Yeah, yeah. True. But that had construction issues too. True. It did. You know, that blew up and this did not. Yeah. This wasn't a construction issue thing, which even makes my point even more valid. Yeah. This is purely based on flavor. We had quite a bit of a different experience than it among the seven of us.

So, I mean, if you smoke a Cuban lenaro, I don't care what you paid for it,

**Rooster:** if you're having like seven sticks out of the same

**Gizmo:** box, there's a a good chance that three are gonna be a problem. Sure. Some

**Bam Bam:** problems. Rooster, bro, I'm gonna go back to that, uh, Cohiba Lyra that I had in Cuba with Gizmo. Honestly, that's probably the best cigar that I've ever smoked.

Wow. It, it really is an [01:48:00] incredible cigar. This was delicious. I'm not gonna compare the two because it's two different worlds. Yes. But this experience was fantastic. Off the chart.

**Gizmo:** Was that a fresh, not sir. Very. Oh, definitely. Yeah, it was definitely not. Yeah. But very

**Bam Bam:** well. It was very great. Good

**Gizmo:** experience.

Well, gentlemen, what a night. So 8.8 0.2 for the. Widow Jane. Ten three and an 8.3. There you go. For the, my father, number four, Glen Zero. Look for the listener. It's a gray pairing. And you have been reborn. Uh, I'm reborn. This is really amazing.

**Senator:** We, we love this new bam. We love you . Out of the

**Grinder:** ashes rises of

**Bam Bam:** Phoenix.

I love you all. Look, you lizards, you lizards have changed me. You have, you have,

**Gizmo:** as Grinder said, this is gonna tell, this is gonna start, this is gonna start feeling really good. We're all gonna be positive. We're gonna all leave this episode. The listeners are gonna weave this episode positive, proud of you.

Absolutely. I'm proud of you. Thank you. Thank you. I'm happy for you. Thank you. And by the way, you wait a minute. He hasn't done anything yet. We're gonna, we're gonna keep the faith. I [01:49:00] stock my tower.

**Poobah:** He's under, he's on a

**Gizmo:** performance improvement. What we doing is,

**Senator:** this is, we'll check in

**Poobah:** with you under review.

I'm

**Gizmo:** under review. Oh, the other thing I wanted to say didn't mention as we're, as we're ending the episode, is that, uh, Bam. Bam. Said he was gonna do this by Valentine's Day. Wow. He's a month early. The thing is,

**Grinder:** I am, this is, you have to understand that this is a process. We're not just talking about transformation because you got a fucking humidor.

Yes. You gotta like, Come to the, you gotta, you gotta put forth and say, you know, I will. You gotta

**Gizmo:** shed

**Poobah:** shed your skin like a lizard, .

**Bam Bam:** You know, I'm gonna shed a tear. I'll, yes, .

**Gizmo:** Bam. Bam. We love you genuinely. Oh God. All right. Excellent night boys. We'll see y'all next week. Keep smoking. Hope you enjoyed this episode.
