Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no. This is not how I wanted to start my day. Where did I put it?
Zaki:It's gotta be here somewhere. Ugh, what kind of poo poo bird loses their own feather comb? Seriously, Zaki. You're supposed to be the organized one. What if my feathers are all messy and prophet Suleiman sees me?
Zaki:I can't show up to his court looking like I just flew through a sandstorm. It's bad enough the sparrows already call me Dusty Zaki. Found it. Disaster averted. Wait.
Zaki:Is this no. No. No. This isn't my comb. It's an old pretzel stick. Ugh. How did that even get in there?
Zaki:Well, I mean, waste not, want not. Okay. Okay.
Zaki:Focus, Zaki. Deep breaths. You're about to tell the most amazing story about, you guessed it, me and prophet Sulaiman, but mostly me.
Zaki:Meraj Digital presents, the amazing stories with Zaki the Hoopoe. Episode 13, prophet Sulaiman and the talking birds.
Zaki:My amazing listeners. It's your favorite talking hoopoe bird, Zaki, back again. Did you like my little, moment earlier? You didn't see anything, right? Anyway, today's story is extra special because it features one of the coolest prophets ever, prophet Suleyman, peace be upon him.
Zaki:This guy could talk to animals. Birds like me, ants, lions, you name it. And yes, yours truly got to work with him. Oh, this story is going to be feathertastic. Once upon a time, in a kingdom so magnificent it would make even castles jealous, there lived prophet Sulaiman, a wise and just king.
Zaki:His palace sparkled, his people loved him, and his court was filled with creatures of all kinds. But do you know what made Suleiman extra special? He could talk to animals. Like all of them. And trust me, animals have a lot to say.
Zaki:Although between you and me, some birds really need to work on their conversation skills, like the pigeon, always cooing about bread, boring. Sulaiman's court was like no other. Picture this, jinn standing tall and powerful, humans consulting on wise matters, and animals, yes, animals, perched, pacing, and buzzing with news from every corner of the earth. It was bustling, majestic, and oh so organized. Everyone had a role, even us birds.
Zaki:One day, Sulaiman called for a royal gathering. The djinns were there, the humans, the ants. Wait. Maybe not the ants. They're a bit tiny for meetings, and us birds too.
Zaki:We perched on his golden throne, chirping about everything from weather updates to who was stealing crumbs in the courtyard. Then came the roll call. Hoopo, where's my Hoopo? Uh-oh. That's me.
Zaki:And guess what? I wasn't there, but I had a very good reason. I promise. So here's the thing. I wasn't just taking a nap or binge watching Sandun sunsets.
Zaki:No. No. No. I was on a top secret mission for Sulaiman. I had flown all the way to Sheba to scout out their queen, Queen Bilqis .
Zaki:Why? Because her people were worshiping the sun instead of Allah. Can you imagine? You know, it's kind of like when you see someone doing something that isn't good for them and you just want to help. Sulaiman cared deeply about guiding people to what's right because he wanted the best for them just like any parent or leader would.
Zaki:But back to me. When I got back, Sulaiman wasn't exactly thrilled with my, fashionably late arrival. Zaki, where have you been? I very much hope you have a good reason for being late. I puffed up my feathers, bowed low and told him everything.
Zaki:Oh Suleiman, I have seen something you have not seen. I came across a queen who rules a mighty beautiful land. The food is rich. The people are kind, but they are also lost. The queen's people bow to the sun, not to Allah.
Zaki:He replied to me, this is important, Zaki. Such a small and beautiful bird brings such heavy news to me. We must be kind and we must act wisely. And that's when Suleiman handed me the letter. I nearly passed out out when he handed the letter to me.
Zaki:Oh, friends, this was no ordinary task. This was big. Huge. I had to deliver this message to queen Bilqis herself. Me, a tiny hoopoe bird.
Zaki:But I was ready. Flying back to Sheba, I thought about how important this mission was. Sulaiman trusted me, me to carry his message. It wasn't just about delivering a letter, it was about sharing truth, hope and faith. No pressure.
Zaki:Right? But oh boy, staying focused was hard. First, I saw a flock of sparrows playing tag. They called out Hey Zaki, wanna join? And I almost did.
Zaki:But then I remembered Sulaiman's words, This is important. So I kept flying. Then I spotted a sparkling stream below. It looked so refreshing and I thought, maybe just one quick dip. But no, I shook my feathers and kept going.
Zaki:Zaki, I told myself, you have a job to do. Oh, and don't even get me started on the berry bush I passed. Those berries looked so juicy but I resisted. I'm a Hoopoe on a mission after all. You know sometimes we get distracted by little things but when we focus on what really matters, we can accomplish great things.
Zaki:And this mission, it mattered. After flying for days and days I arrived at Queen Bilquis' palace. I landed right in the courtyard. The guards stared confused. What's this bird doing here?
Zaki:But I wasn't just any bird, I was Zucky, the royal messenger. I dropped the letter at Bilqis' feet with style. Thank you very much. Bilqis opened the letter. It was beautifully written, inviting her to recognize Allah, the one true God and to meet Suleyman.
Zaki:But here's the thing kids, Sulaiman was very kind and nice in his letter. He didn't yell at her or be mean for bowing to the sun. He showed the best manners by welcoming her with kindness and by being nice. This made queen Bilqis curious. So curious, in fact, that she decided to visit Suleyman herself.
Zaki:When Bilqis saw Sulaiman's wisdom, kindness, and the way he treated everyone, big or small, with respect, she knew the truth. Sulaiman's behavior and manners really opened queen Bilqis' eyes. She turned to Allah, leaving behind her old ways. It was such a powerful moment, a moment full of heart. You know, it's not easy to change your mind or admit when you've been wrong.
Zaki:It takes strength, wisdom, and humility, and that's what made Bilqis and Sulaiman so amazing. And let's not forget me, without this little hoopoe bird, who knows what would have happened. So my friends, what can we learn from this story? 1st, even the smallest of us. Yes.
Zaki:Even a little bird like me can make a big difference when we're responsible and focused. 2nd, it's never too late to change. Queen Bilqis showed us that when we open our hearts to truth, amazing things can happen. And finally, trust is a gift. Suleiman trusted me with this mission and I didn't let him down.
Zaki:Prophet Suleiman, Queen Bilqis and yours truly, we make a pretty amazing team, don't we? This story reminds us that even the smallest among us can make a big difference when we're responsible and stay focused. But don't fly away just yet because next time, we're diving into a story full of strength, faith and patience. In our next episode, we'll meet prophet Ayub who faced some of the toughest challenges and never lost his trust in Allah. It's an inspiring story you won't want to miss.
Zaki:Until then, stay kind, stay curious, and remember, every challenge is a chance to grow. Till next time, salaam, my wonderful friends.
