Can't wait to chat.

Let's do it.

Welcome to the show, it's time to ignite.

Scott's silky smooth voice keeps the vibes

just right.

Caroline on the mic,

wants a star on the ice.

Game's athlete so strong,

keeps the balance precise.

And Jamie's in the house,

the engine full of grip.

Never backing down,

doesn't know the world.

When together they bring the fire,

never say never.

So buckle up friends,

it's burpees forever.

Welcome to Sunday, Sunday.

What is going on, everybody?

Welcome to Sunday, Sunday,

Sunday Night CrossFit Talk.

We are live on a Sunday night.

We are steadily approaching the CrossFit

Games.

It's coming up way, way, way too fast.

But before that, don't forget,

like and subscribe to the channel.

Every time you hit that button,

it is so appreciated by all of us

here.

And one other thing we're asking for,

last night to do this,

if you put a Super Chat in tonight,

all the proceeds will go to Carolyn and

Jamie to help them with their costs at

the CrossFit Games.

This is our last night to do it.

If you want to do it,

No matter how small we take anything.

And I am offsetting the cost that YouTube

will take.

So they get one hundred percent of the

proceeds.

Thank you, Scott.

Thank you.

So with that,

you guys have a good weekend.

Yeah, I didn't really do anything.

It's kind of nice not, you know,

not having to go anywhere, do anything.

Yeah,

I've been working on my patio and all

that.

This weekend, I was like, nope.

First of all, it rained all day yesterday.

Did it?

Yeah.

It was really nice here.

My mom in Pennsylvania got no rain.

people above us got no rain it was

like we were right in the path yeah

of non-stop rain all day and julie and

i drove up to the lake today we

have a lake like twenty minutes away it's

it's not like lake michigan but it's still

a pretty decent sized lake lots of boating

stuff like that going up there so many

trees are down from this from the rains

and storm we had on saturday

Um, it was wild.

Sunday's now our day to,

we go to the dog park.

We go get a pop cup at the

tasty freeze.

Yeah.

Uh, and then we drive around the lake.

And sometimes we stop and hang out at

the beach.

Sometimes we don't.

But it all depends on the day.

So that was a nice day.

And this tasty freeze up in Delaware.

It's like a town above us.

That's my one-week treat every Sunday now.

A medium twist cone.

I love a good twist cone.

It's so creamy and so good.

I like custard.

That's what I prefer.

I'm all into soft serve right now.

I don't want hard ice cream.

I want soft serve.

I feel like custard is soft.

That's what I like about it.

But it doesn't twist into a cone.

That's not true.

So, like, I go to the place.

There's, like,

Pump House or Menchie is the one around

here.

But it, like,

comes out of the machine just the same.

And you can make it swirly.

And then there's all the toppings.

not a toppings guy uh vicky oh my

god frozen custard is the best time with

jamie yeah and kenneth uh i went to

the tasty freeze just like jack and diane

doing the best that i can

yeah Walter he ran so hard today so

hard we they have little tiny pup cups

for like his size and it has a

biscuit in the top like a dog biscuit

and you can get it in peanut butter

we after his running at the dog park

like thirty seconds it was gone just

something nice and cold on his tongue

Carolyn, I stacked up my boxes,

looked at it, and said, nah,

I'm too old for that shit.

I do that when I have the thirty

up.

I'm like, nah, I'm too old for that.

Apparently,

Larry saw something that Carolyn did on

the internet again.

When it's a... When it's a softer box.

We got a delay with Carolyn again this

week.

I've lost you for a second.

Love that California internet.

We'll get that for another month in a

bit.

Yeah.

Thank you, Linda.

Best of luck at the games.

We've lost Carolyn totally now.

Maybe not on delay.

That would be the best case scenario.

Thank you so much, Linda.

That's awesome.

Yeah,

all those proceeds go to Carolyn and Jamie

to help them with their cost of the

CrossFit Games.

The other thing we did on the rainy

day is we watched a bunch of old

movies.

Yeah.

And I hadn't watched, like, The Rock.

Oh.

With...

Oh my gosh, I'm blanking.

Nicolas Cage and Sean Connery.

Yep.

Ed Harris.

We watched Working Girl with Melanie

Griffith and Harrison Ford.

We watched Uncle Buck.

It just was rainy.

There was no,

you couldn't go outside or anything.

And our backyard is a mud pit from

the patio development.

And it was just like, nah,

we'll just watch some old movies.

Tristan, you are correct.

The Rock is so good.

It still holds up.

The only thing,

I do have to make one comment,

and I know this is normally like lunch

show material.

Nicolas Cage is so herky-jerky with the

way he talks.

And so he's pulling out the green balls

out of the chemical weapon,

and he hands them to Sean Connery.

And then he's like, don't move.

I'm like, dude,

if you yell it at me,

there's a good chance I'm going to move.

Yeah.

That's like when Ron is doing like ring

muscle up or handstand pushup,

like I'm not allowed to yell.

Cause she's like,

you're scaring me in the movement.

Like I'm going to miss it.

Right.

Uh,

Trish says,

makes me feel like in Dinosaur,

Casablanca is an old movie.

It is.

My cousin was telling me they were on

vacation and the kids wanted to watch The

Shining.

And they were like,

you thought this was scary?

I haven't seen it in years.

I don't even know.

I was like, yeah,

that was scary to us.

The book is way worse.

I will say that.

The book is way scarier than the movie.

Yes, Kenneth, it's the same premise.

You drive by a police car and your

wife feels there's a cop and then you

jerk the wheel or you hit the brakes

and now you're driving recklessly and get

a ticket.

Never fails.

If you haven't watched the New York Times

interview from earlier this year,

you are absolutely missing out.

He's a maniac.

Of Nicolas Cage?

That's all I can get.

I didn't know he had an interview.

Oh, boy.

Yeah.

Carolyn is having some internet

difficulties in California.

I hope I don't have the same ones

when I'm there.

But she's going to try to hotspot it.

We'll see how that goes.

Grace says it's a must-see.

Okay, I'll go check it out.

Vicki, no book talk.

Scott, you don't read anymore.

Well, that is correct.

However, I used to read all the time.

Now, what do you do?

Audiobook?

I gave up reading.

I gave it up after I got my

master's degree and was forced to read

like nonstop.

I just I was done.

And I will do the occasional audiobook.

But I used to buy hardcover books.

Yeah, I still will.

I prefer the physical.

I mean,

I'll get some on Kindle or whatever,

but I do prefer having the physical book.

Yeah, I can't do it anymore.

I'm trying to read The Gulag Archipelago,

and it's just so big.

And I have the actual book,

and it is thick, and it's overwhelming.

I don't know if anyone's read

Vicki is correct.

Scott says reading is no longer

fundamental.

I'm fifty six.

I've read all I need to read.

There's nothing more I can learn.

I'm just I'm done.

Yes.

That's what I'm reading.

It is heavy duty.

It's like it's a coaster.

Jamie, did you read Yesteryear?

I feel like it's a book of summer.

Everyone I know is reading it.

No, I have not read that.

I don't even think I've heard of that

one.

Mark Phillips with the best of luck.

Thank you, Mark.

Again, any donation to the super chat is,

goes directly to Jamie and Carolyn to pay

for their CrossFit game strip.

It's like, I have like a what?

Five, six hour flight.

I mean, I have like two layovers,

so maybe I'll bring,

bring that one on the flight with me

again.

That's the best time for me to be

able to read.

Yeah,

my flight leaves at like five in the

morning so I can get there at like

eleven.

And I'm still probably going to miss you

guys part of the day.

Yeah.

But I did,

I don't know if you heard earlier in

the week,

but I did get my media credentials for

the Masters.

Yes.

I have a riff alert for later in

the show about kind of all of that.

Okay.

And we'll see what happens with that.

Does it have to do with Hiller

misrepresenting whatever Scott Vaynerchuk

said?

No.

Scott kind of went down the road.

I'm going much further down the road than

Scott Vaynerchuk went.

I feel like I commented on that.

I watched the Rich Froning podcast where

Scott

So I saw the full thing in context.

Right.

And while I agree with what he said,

I have a little bit further to go

with it.

I was struggling with Rory's take on that

podcast.

I was struggling with a lot on that

podcast.

I want to know when Rich Froning got

soft.

A little bit.

literally cause we had the glintens on,

on Friday.

Yeah.

So like all that happened Friday morning

and I wanted to talk about it so

bad.

And because we had the glintens on it,

I didn't have it.

And,

and so I didn't have that opportunity to

comment on all of that.

And I almost did a special show just

to comment on it.

But when Rich was like,

The fact that you have to get all

geared up for one weekend and you have

to perform on that weekend, that is sport.

And when it was proposed to him that

that's what it is,

Scott VanderSloot said it is sport,

Rich was like, yeah,

but those people make money all through

the regular season.

We only get to make money at the

championship.

The problem is you only really make money

through sponsorships,

and if nobody's watching anymore because

it's a weakened,

dramatic event for the year,

you're all losing money.

Right.

You need viewers to bring sponsors to

bring money.

Waterpalooza, all of those, too.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Like there's still opportunities

elsewhere.

WFP, um, to make money.

Uh, Trish, twenty dollars.

Uh, thanks for always being cool to me.

Good luck for me and Ron crush the

competition.

Thanks.

Thank you.

Right.

There are other opportunities.

yeah it is weird it's weird coming from

rich because he dealt with that central

east very difficult region and made it and

you would you would think he'd be like

i did it you just got to do

it did you like his idea of the

games champion getting a three year for

the games no i i'll go with one

but like

go podium again and get your year again.

Like you have to keep showing up.

You don't just get three.

The competition season should be based on

the season.

Period.

End of story.

I'd give the one.

I'm not like completely opposed to that,

but three is insane.

Especially with the way like the field's

changing and Sam Briggs won the games and

didn't make it back the next year.

And that was a major story.

That's true.

Major story that she then came back the

year after to make it back.

Right.

Which was another huge story.

You lose all of that with,

it'd be like the Super Bowl champion

getting a free pass to the playoffs.

Yeah.

That just doesn't make sense in my sports

mind.

Yeah.

Shelly Young, hope to see you guys there.

I hope you guys too.

I'll be looking for Larry over by the

weight stacks.

Might as well look for Shelly there, too.

Yeah, true.

Yeah, they both like to lift that weight.

Kenneth DeLapp with ten dollars.

Go crush it.

And you guys are too kind.

Too kind.

All this is going to Carolyn and Jamie

to help them with the games.

And a hundred percent of what you give

goes to them.

You guys are the best.

Uh,

don't green jacket winners get to go back

to the golf thing they do,

but that doesn't mean two wrongs make a

right.

Right.

Was that the mayhem podcast where they

were talking about,

like you could take a year off golf

and still be good,

but you couldn't take a year off CrossFit

and be good.

Yep.

I think it's just dumb.

If you're not good enough to make it

that year,

you're not good enough to make it that

year.

That's true.

The tests that you were given that year,

you were not good enough at those tests

to go to the games.

And I feel the same way about golf.

If you can't finish in the top one-thirty

or whatever it is to qualify for the

Masters,

That's your own issue.

But, I mean, I'm not changing the Masters.

There's a whole lot of shit going on

at the Masters that needs changed that

hasn't changed.

It does take the sport out of it,

Vicki.

I agree.

But I didn't even have that on our

agenda tonight.

We had a completely different ramble.

Sorry.

So, Larry Young, Scott,

I've been posting running every day.

I'm going to be a skinny boy.

Woo!

Let me get there with you, Larry.

Trying to get there with you.

Engine's going to be flying next year in

the open.

You will be the cardio bunny.

There you go.

Yeah, where'd that name go?

Yeah.

The open's over.

He gave up and got rid of the

name.

Now he's just training to bring it back.

So, yeah,

that whole Rich Froning podcast had me so

upset,

and I had no place to release it.

Yeah.

Yeah, they came back with a bang.

That was their second one last week.

They did two last week.

Yeah, they did do two last week.

But they had been gone for like three

weeks.

I didn't listen to their first one,

but I listened to the second one.

Yeah.

The first one was fine.

There wasn't much in it.

The second one made up for all of

that.

And most of it, like,

I understood until that part of it,

which was knee-deep into the podcast,

like, a few minutes in or something.

So, Avera, we're going to get to that.

I have that laid down a little bit

later.

So,

I know that Carolyn is out in California

walking doodles all the time,

getting her cardio that way, zone two.

Zone two with the doodles.

and she froze damn it it's gonna be

a rough one tonight guys um so let's

get into the twentieth crossfit games okay

so they released they released the

t-shirts and stuff they're selling and

none of them mention the twentieth

crossfit games

interesting choice yeah i've seen tons of

comments around that people saying

vindicate should have been brought in to

make sure it's well i mean people just

say vindicate because he's in this the

chats and all of that stuff my thing

is crossfit's the one that designs it

doesn't matter who your vendor is right

the vendors that print whatever you tell

them to print

Do you think that they're afraid they're

not going to sell them all?

So if they don't put the twentieth

anniversary,

they're still good for future.

But they have San Jose on them.

Yeah.

You might as well just put the twentieth

anniversary.

Or twentieth.

Something.

Something around.

Oh, it's such a big deal.

It's been so big to talk about the

twentieth.

So, like,

I was surprised that there was nothing

that said twentieth,

but it is one classic in three years.

It is special, I guess, from twenty.

We have we have robot Carolyn tonight.

Mark Phillips,

most are a hundred percent cotton.

Unfortunately too.

I hate that.

I like,

I have the eat meat and veggies shirt.

I love it.

I have the pukey, the clown.

It's not a hundred percent cotton though.

I don't think.

I'm pretty sure mine is.

It's soft, but it is thicker.

Yeah.

Mine is definitely thicker,

thicker than I would think a cotton shirt

would be.

I'm not that I,

I did not look at the label.

This guy here, Avera,

has been wanting me to get Gabby on

and ask her why she withdrew.

Gabby never returned a DM from me ever.

In seven years of trying to get her

on the show, she's never responded.

Yeah,

I don't think that now is the time

she would.

Yeah.

I think my chances are still nil.

It is weird that she went through the

process, won her semis, and then is like,

nah, never mind.

It has to be something's not right.

Do you think she got injured again?

That's my guess.

Yeah,

it seems like that's a high possibility.

Everything's speculation, though,

because she did not...

So I don't want to be accused of

saying I know, because, again,

she doesn't return my DMs.

But...

it just seems a weird time or she

saw the seventy two hundred kilometer or

seventy two hundred meter run just or just

the fact of the two twenty events and

being like this is just going to i

don't know i still think you go yeah

i

I am sure that she has heard Haley's

horror story of her ankle on the trail

run.

Now you have a compromised ankle Achilles

area and a seventy two hundred meter run

has been put on the table in the

rough conditions of the ranch.

If you have any questions about that area,

that's got to be tough.

Yeah.

I mean, she could walk some of the,

like,

more on-level areas and still not finish

last.

Like, she's a good runner.

Well,

I guess we don't know how good of

a runner she is these days.

But, I mean...

Yeah, I was going to bring this up,

Kenneth.

Of the testers in the behind the scenes,

only one of them finished.

What's the time cap on that run?

They didn't say a time cap.

Unless it's in the announcement.

Well,

they had Rafa and Lucas Zapata go out

and do it, and they both did it,

the full thing.

But they didn't mention a cap.

At the time,

the two of them did it.

Dave was trying to figure out the cap,

and he was saying that he thought the

people would finish between forty-five and

sixty.

Jacob Marlowe, Trista Smith,

and Sidney Smith went out.

Jacob was the only one to finish in

fifty minutes.

What?

The other two didn't even complete the

course.

That's ridiculous.

So, that's what Kenneth is referring to.

I think Carolyn's trying to talk.

Jamie, of course you still go.

The experience cannot be replicated.

I'm filming.

This is possible.

That is possible.

Raph said they think the... Whoa.

I lost power for a second.

It came right back on?

Yeah, it was just the screen, though,

not like my house.

That was weird.

The girls got lost.

I think I did hear that in one

of the behind-the-scenes,

that they did get lost.

That's crazy, though.

That's funny.

Hopefully they have it marked.

I mean,

it'll be better with sixty people out on

the course.

And hopefully they'll have judges

periodically

where they've done that in the past.

Wherever the girls got lost,

have them take you out there and put

someone there.

Yeah.

Right.

Yeah.

Yeah.

The thing I thought was funny in one

of the behind the scenes is Dave was

asked if he's ever rolled that gator

because of the hills and the terrain.

And he said like almost once where the

two tires came off the ground,

but it didn't.

That's scary.

It is half forwards, half reverse, yes.

Two laps one way, two laps the other.

Yeah,

I kind of wish he would have went

like a lap, turn around, turn around,

turn around, instead of just two, two.

Raph said the uphill on the last two

was rough,

but he didn't know if it was because

it was rougher or he was fatigued.

That's why I'd like to alternate back and

forth.

uh the breaks with hanging out with jamie

is uh jamie do not take this wrong

way but you look particularly pretty to

this evening thanks trying to get those

donations to get the donations you need to

do flex for flex for five um sometimes

i clean up okay alvera sometimes

Uh, so yeah,

I was going to talk about the trail

run,

the behind the scenes thought it was

really cool.

I love those like sneak peeks as to

like trying to create it,

what it's going to be like.

The other announcement this week was the

CrossFit total,

which is not a total at all.

No, it is three fifty point events.

But I brought it up on the lunch

here this week.

The chat did convince me that that might

be a better way to do it because

you can't hide one of the movements.

I agree with that.

Yeah, I fully agree.

If you have a strong back squat or

mostly a deadlift, you can totally skew.

So it's like the difference.

is a few you know five to twenty

pounds at most and then the difference in

deadlift is significant so it just skews

the total so i i don't mind that

yeah so the more i i like settled

with it i was i was cool with

it yep so for me i'd kill the

first two events and get crushed in the

last one

is we'll get to see the scores of

individual athlete on each lift because

when it's a total we always just see

the total and you never know what each

individual but this when they film the

games athletes to the people at the you

have a screen you don't actually see all

athletes and what they hit on each of

the lifts so now we're actually going to

get more data to see uh results which

i like to see

Yeah, I like that point.

Totally agree.

Yeah,

and so for people that didn't hear that,

Carolyn said...

The other total we had in the

quarterfinals many years ago,

we never knew people's mentions or where

it was, but we just got the total.

So Carolyn is saying that we're going to

get to see what the lifts are for

all the athletes because it'll be on the

leaderboard,

and we'll know what scores they earn for

each one.

A couple years ago when we did the

other total in quarterfinals,

when we did the other total in

quarterfinals,

we didn't know who did what.

All you saw was their total.

And so this year we're going to get

to see all that.

Yeah, that's true.

It's going to be good data to collect.

Yeah,

we know Carolyn's turning into a robot.

She has Wi-Fi issues when she's in

California.

Kenneth, she's very close to NorCal.

She is in NorCal.

um so i think that that is that

that's that is that makes it better yeah

i agree we're going to give it one

more shot somewhere else i think i'll go

to starbucks or something because it

doesn't work here oh good because it might

hinge on you i don't know if i'll

be on here next week

Yeah, just let me know.

If I have to,

I'll find somebody to jump into.

So anyway, we have the total.

We have the trail run.

We also learned that there's going to be

a forward and backward roll to support.

Yep.

I don't understand how this gets...

Mashed into a,

an event or how it would be scored

if it was by itself,

but we'll wait and see how that plays

out.

I know.

I'm very curious too.

Like,

is it going to be in a workout

or is it going to be like one

minute,

as many forward rolls that you can do

and then rest a minute and then a

minute, as many back as you can do.

or yeah or a bike like something buy-in

and then get up on the rings i

don't know i don't know how i feel

about it do you think with the we

can't hear you at all now carolyn

I'm curious with the announcement if we're

still going to see people who can't do

the movement.

Do you think there will be people who

can't do it?

I don't know.

I think you have plenty of...

Carolyn's saying yes.

I thought that it was an interesting

play... We can't hear you, Carolyn.

I'm sorry.

I thought it was an interesting play

that...

they showed Greg Glassman coaching Raf

Sanson how to do one.

And they're putting it out.

They put it out almost two weeks before

the games.

Right.

So now you have a coaching video on

how to do one and even some elements

to do to scale up to it.

By doing the pullover on the bar,

get that feeling.

Then getting people beside you on a box

to help you assist you over.

I thought that that was one of the

best things to come out media-wise this

week because it showed the steps to get

this thing.

Yeah.

Did they show it or is it just

on TDC's YouTube channel and not on the

CrossFit channel?

Kenneth, if it's on Dave's,

there's so much on Dave's channel now that

if you're not following that,

you're not doing your due diligence as an

athlete.

Right.

You just aren't.

And Carolyn believes there will be some

people that will not get it.

I think Sherry wrote this.

I agree.

If it's like after like a lot of

things, like if it's a long,

longer workout and it's towards the back

of the workout,

I definitely think there will be people to

me.

I feel like it might be like a,

here you go a minute,

go do these so that everyone's getting

them.

But I honestly,

I do think there will still be a

few people who can't even do them fresh.

Like if it's,

Um,

originally I thought it could be the new

Amanda workout, like nine, seven,

five of the roles,

but in the girls podcast,

it seemed to be more like a max

rep for a certain amount of time.

That's exactly what I think.

God, that would make me so busy.

The stupid pullovers on the rig make me

so busy.

I would not want to do these.

Yeah.

Again,

It's teetering on that line of party trick

or fitness.

Yeah.

And like, depending on how it's used,

Dave proved me wrong and show me it's

part of fitness.

But it's hard to see that without knowing

the full context of it.

Yeah.

Oh, well,

maybe Dave's spilling it right now.

So we'll have to catch that later.

We're a little busy right now,

so we'll have to check that later.

This is our time.

The other thing I wanted to say is,

so we know events one, two, three, four,

and five fully.

Yes.

You know what I know about event one?

That's been done before.

Oh, you're putting... To be fair,

this was Sunday fun day.

So I know that our very own Jamie

Latimer had fun with Dave,

I think is what you called it,

on a Sunday?

Just Sunday fun day.

It's just Sunday fun day.

So I have some questions about this

because I watched the video and my first

question is,

we don't do just regular pull-ups very

often at all.

Right.

you are flying above the bar.

I do not.

I basically do a chest bar.

Yes, I know.

I'm aware.

So good practice.

How hard is it going to be for

an elite athlete to calm that down to

be faster?

I think, I think they're better at it.

I think they're, I don't know.

Do I need to remind you of single

unders?

That's true.

I still feel like they I don't know

when I here's my issue when I watch

people do pull pull ups I'm like your

chin is not above the bar because they

ride the line so and I just you

know me like that is not me like

it's been so long since I've seen a

judged regular pull up it'll I feel like

the judging will be horrible because

people will be flying so low

Well, and to be fair as a judge,

like chest to bar,

if you put your hand on the rig,

you can feel if they touch.

Correct.

On a regular pull-up, you can't.

It makes it more difficult to judge.

Anyway,

and you're not at a good angle if

you're underneath the rig to see it.

Right.

I agree.

My other question for you is,

rhythm seems to be harder for you on

this than chest to bar pull-ups.

And maybe that's why I go kind of

high,

to try to get as close to the

rhythm that I'm used to.

Because you end with like a couple,

a kipping pull-up at the end of some

of these rounds.

Only my last, my very last rep,

my twenty-fifth rep of the fifth round,

I have to see Kip.

Yeah.

So my question to you is,

was it because you didn't have the rhythm

anymore,

or because you just were fatigued?

At the end there, I think I just...

I don't know.

Yeah.

Maybe, I don't know.

Maybe my rhythm got off a little bit.

I wasn't like overly fatigued.

We've been friends for a long time.

I've watched you do a lot of movements

and there just seemed to be something here

that you weren't quite in the right rhythm

and maybe because it was Sunday fun day.

Yeah,

probably because it was Sunday fun day.

Jamie will never admit.

Did you get sore the next day?

She did it today, didn't you?

I just did it at like three o'clock

today.

But no,

I do not think I will be sore.

I did not like I didn't do any

sets of twenty five.

I did ten, eight,

seven for four rounds and then I did

eleven, eight, six.

I was going to see if I could

hold on for longer,

but it just I really wasn't there the

last round and I didn't care enough to

come out.

Did you find it fun at all?

Yeah,

we're doing it as class programming

tomorrow,

so I wanted to make sure it wasn't

overkill.

And yes, it was fun.

It was that or Jackie,

and I actually much preferred this.

It was fun.

Avera,

we know that the first Masters event is

not the Hopper.

And we're actually going to talk about

that in a second, too.

So that is,

Jamie just felt like doing it for fun.

Uh,

Nicole says you didn't seem fatigued at

all.

After you seem to hold a very normal

conversation.

Yeah.

I finished and I'm like, okay,

this is what you guys need to do

tomorrow.

I like turn and like,

just talk to him.

Like, Hey,

you need to do like either like threes

or fours on your pull-ups.

Just sit there and you hold it in

like a mom.

You're going to be totally fine.

Yes.

I finished.

Now let's, let's be real.

If you've ever watched Jamie compete

first, she has to flop on the floor.

Are you done?

I'd spread your own video.

don't i like just walk off around like

no you go down into your little clump

in the middle for a couple seconds and

then you walk off but you always go

to the clump first like and then i

gotta get my grips off and yes get

everything off yep anyway i didn't mean to

pull it up as a critique i just

had some questions since you did it today

why not get a fresh perspective

People will be very fast at that.

I tried to mimic the transitions,

like you kind of showed there.

I would roll the bar forward and back,

then I'd walk around and back.

So I was trying to mimic some transitions,

but yeah, people are, I mean,

they're gonna be like sub nine.

It's gonna be disgusting.

So that's what we know so far.

We know there's also gonna be a bike.

We also know there's gonna be a swim

of some sort.

We know you can't dive.

We know you can't flip turn.

um we know the snail and the pig

we know a lot of little things we

just don't know how it all fits together

as a jigsaw puzzle like are the snail

and the pig going to be different workouts

i don't know i don't know i hope

but i'm i'm leaning towards it they'll be

the same event

Who is more dramatic after a workout,

Jamie, Carolyn, or Corey?

Carolyn is not dramatic at all.

Carolyn is all about the business.

She may be dramatic back behind the

curtain, but on the floor,

she's not dramatic.

Unless I have a terrible day of

double-unders,

and then you might get a rope throw.

I almost puke.

like at least once a once a game

so yeah then i get dramatic or i

can't walk you don't get like dramatic in

like an emotional sense you just kind of

flop at the end of a workout and

then and then cory cory doesn't he doesn't

really get emotional either

lot of times he's dancing or he um

makes fun of himself he finds the humor

and everything that i've been around him

which hasn't been a whole lot to be

honest i'm more dramatic than all of them

and i do it in the privacy of

my own garage only my neighbors get to

see it i'm pretty dramatic

Larry,

glad I don't have Scott reviewing my

Sunday Fundays.

Geez, I was like, damn,

she's chilling and did her time beat last

time it was tested.

I was not critiquing her, Larry.

I had serious questions that are elite

athletes not practicing the basics like

they did with the single-unders a couple

years ago.

Will they have difficulties with the

pull-ups this year?

They will not have difficulties.

They practice pull-ups.

For sure.

That's not a...

Carolyn's shaking her head no.

That they won't have difficulty.

It's up for our interpretation.

She agrees.

They won't have difficulty.

They'll be fine.

They'll be fine.

Exactly.

I'm similar to Jamie where my pull-ups,

I pull high.

Almost like my chest-to-bar.

Uh,

do you think that they can have a

snake and a pig on the same course

at the same time?

Well, if they have a snake,

I will be nowhere near that course.

I'm just telling you.

And I know you meant snail,

but if I see a snake,

I'm running like a school girl for the

hills.

Um, uh, speaking of dramatic,

if you want dramatically different

recovery and sleep quality,

get your third Z today.

Thirdsy.com backslash Jazzy or promo code

Jazzy at checkout.

Get you fifteen percent off your order.

Thank you, Vicki, for that.

What the heck?

Got knocked out.

Demoted.

On my end, it knocked you two out.

Yeah.

Oh.

don't streamyard is acting funny for me

tonight just so you know i went black

screen twice during our conversation it's

like carolyn's internet has infected oh no

whole system oh no all right we already

talked about gabby withdrawing and we have

no idea why just hope she's okay i

mean if she's focusing on rogue she's got

to be okay

Well,

that gives her a couple more months to

recover if she's not.

So.

Will we see Murph?

I would love to see Fifteen Point Five

again sometime.

I hope not.

It's not a fun event to watch.

Not really.

Mm-mm.

Avera,

Carolyn lives in NorCal in the summer.

Who's to say she's actually going to be

invited to Rogue?

That's kind of a good point, Ed.

She'll be invited.

Since they're the ones that tore her

Achilles,

they probably will give her an opportunity

for redemption.

Just kidding.

Katie, I kid, I kid.

Um, three master's workouts have been, um,

announced.

Events one, two, and five.

Event one is three rounds for time,

six hundred meter run,

six hundred meter weighted run.

Women are doing med balls,

men are doing sandbags.

Crazy to me.

Event two, four rounds for time,

twenty five toes to bar,

seventy five double unders, four, three,

two, one snatch,

increasing weight on the snatch.

Event five,

twenty one fifty nine thrusters and twelve

nine six burpees.

I've made my feelings known about all of

this through the week on my lunch show,

so I'm going to let you guys talk.

Since you're the ones that have to do

it.

Yeah,

I'm not not a fan of any of

them.

I mean, I don't mind the first workout.

I just really hate that the women have

a med ball.

It's completely different stimulus.

I make it seventy fifty make it like

I'd rather use the men's sandbag.

I mean,

maybe make us go four hundred meters and

the older crowd go like three hundred for

the men and two hundred for the women

with it and just keep it heavy like.

It's different.

This with a wall ball is way different

than this.

I'd rather have a heavier bag around my

neck than a wall ball.

It's going to mess up our shoulders for

the whole weekend.

I don't like it.

I agree.

Neck too.

Yeah.

Do you think that they had the men's

weight at fifty and then they're like, oh,

they don't make thirty pound sandbags or

something.

We'll just give them the wall balls.

Yes.

Something like that.

Well,

I can guarantee you we're using wall

balls.

And they have them there and so that

was an easy like they don't need to

bring in more equipment.

This was my exact response, Mark,

to the ladies.

I'm sure that's what the men are using

is like a feedback.

If they are,

that really sucks because running with two

straps is so much easier than a med

ball.

I mean, honestly,

even if it's a fifty pound sandbag,

it'll it'll be different than a wall ball.

Like, yes, you're going to be able to,

like, the fifty-pound sandbags are never,

like, tightly packed around,

like a full hundred.

It won't be like that.

It'll be floppy.

They'll be able to set it on their

shoulder and run.

Yeah, fill a fifty to thirty.

Exactly.

Can't hear you, Carolyn.

Um, you know, I, I mean,

buy a cheap scale,

put the sandbags on the scale,

fill in the.

I don't think that's that tough.

Do you think the weighted run cancels out

the good runners?

No, not really.

I mean,

I think it's going to be awkward with

the wall ball for everyone.

I don't know how much of a benefit

the bigger girls are going to be with

that implement.

I think it's going to be just as

awkward for them.

And by the third round,

I think they're going to be hating life.

And I feel like the better runners will

be just slightly more efficient.

Mark Phillips, I think that's the idea,

but not sure it's enough.

Larry says,

if I have to hug the ball,

I'm not messing around with my shoulder,

holding it overhead.

Yeah, I did a little of that, Larry.

Because, yeah, I mean,

my left shoulder is just not okay.

And

holding it up there was really bothering

me so like I would go like hundred

meters on this side try to whip it

over to this side and then I'd like

waddle it in front of me it's awful

you can't breathe when it's in front of

you though Larry is the problem so you

don't want it there for longer Grace's

just makes too much sense separate fifty

pounds into a thirty and a twenty inside

of a canvas bag and then remove the

twenty

What this makes me think is we're doing

wall balls,

heavy wall balls later in the week and

it's thirty twenty.

So those are there and we're doing some

sandbag movement that has probably like

the fifty five plus is using a fifty.

Men are using like a seventy or a

hundred and then like.

The younger age groups are probably using

one fifty one hundred.

So there's probably sandbags there for

some other workout.

And we're using the men are using like

the women, the older women's.

We're using the wall ball weight.

It's just.

I think it's just laziness of.

I don't know what it is, preparation.

not having access to the equipment that

the CrossFit Games has.

I mean,

I think this is the problem with splitting

off and putting this on these two guys'

heads.

Don't steal my thunder.

Okay, cool.

So that's the first workout.

The second one is the,

we've already talked about last week with

the snatch, the toes-to-bar,

the double-unders.

Yep.

This show is not happy with that because

Carolyn has to do double unders.

Jamie has to do a heavy snatch.

Yeah, I will be standing around folks.

I can't snatch right now.

So I'll be waving to the crowd.

Carolyn thinks the second one is fine.

I'll just add in except the double unders.

I, I just really hate that.

We haven't had total bar in any stage

of the season.

And the one time we get total bar,

it's not even relevant.

Like I know Carolyn thinks it's relevant,

but I don't think it's relevant.

Event five is the thrusters and burpees.

My only beef on this is why the

burpees are a different number.

It just doesn't make sense to me.

I cannot stand that.

Why is it not just twenty one fifty

nine straight through?

I think it'd be,

it'll be relevant for the very strong

snatchers.

Yeah,

there's going to be sure there's going to

be four or five people.

I think,

and it'll be relevant in the men's thirty

five to thirty nine for sure.

And I'm sure the top like five,

maybe ten women in your age group,

it'll be relevant for.

But I think it's going to slow the

entire workout down and it's not going to

be fun to watch.

And then like on the other extreme,

when you get to like sixty five plus,

the snatches are irrelevant.

Like, frickin' make...

You have to be thinking through these

workouts.

Daniel Arnson says the thruster workout

should be buy-in of sixty bar-facing

burpees, then twenty-seven, twenty-one,

eighteen thrusters done Glenn-style.

Oh, wait.

Like... Gwen-style?

Or Glenn-style?

like went like unbroken is that what you

mean maybe i guess now now's the time

to to let it oh carolyn's trying to

say something we don't have you at all

isn't the the l one benchmark workout like

they took out bran and made it it's

not thruster bar facing burpee uh it is

yeah it is right but it's twenty one

fifteen nine it is yes you meant gwen

still don't have a carolyn

Shanna,

I think the programming scaling is way

off.

I don't think they had any testers again

this year.

You really get to see a workout at

the games that's light and go.

You rarely get to see a workout at

the games that's light and go.

Everything is often so heavy and high

skill.

I completely agree.

Yeah, I think that's a problem.

but I think it's a mentality though,

that we do these things in the open.

So they've been tested.

We don't have to do it again,

but would you eliminate those scores from

the scoreboard?

They're not being tested in this test.

I think the L one workout is three

rounds for time.

Fifteen thrusters,

twelve bar facing burpees burpees.

It's been ten years since I did the

workout.

But it's something to that effect.

The snatch weight is more than heavy

enough.

So here's the issue, Daniel.

It's heavy enough for the top five people

in strength in a lot of the divisions.

And I think in the thirty five to

thirty nine,

you have a lot of people that are

still training in that realm.

When you get into the older divisions.

I think you're if you're programming it

that way.

I think they're only... I don't know.

I'm not a programming guy.

I'll just shut up because I'll just murky

the water.

Here's what I want to do now,

real quick.

And that is...

Riff alert, here we go.

CrossFit wants to say that we're all about

the community, right?

We're all about the community.

Yet every action taken in the last few

years has been to move away from a

community.

We got rid of the festival style at

the CrossFit Games where everybody was

involved, everybody hung out,

the community was all there.

and we went to let's try to become

a professional sport and go to an arena,

go to a big arena,

go to a modern arena, all of that.

In addition to that, you are taking,

you are taking

The reason that you're splitting off the

masters,

the teens and the adaptives into their own

separate entities.

So now you have four entities running four

styles of CrossFit games that do not talk

to each other at all.

And why does CrossFit still put their name

on it?

Because all the money funding the elites

is coming from the other divisions.

So they're not willing to get rid of

them completely because they need the

money.

It's all about the money.

Fifty percent of the open revenue comes

from the ages of thirty five to forty

nine.

Half.

And then that's not even counting

quarterfinals and semifinals.

which CrossFit collects a shit ton of

money from.

Shit ton.

So if they completely break them away and

say, go do your own thing,

they lose almost all the revenue to run

the games.

Yet,

they care so little about the people

investing in this sport that they won't

even give it oversight.

to make it look like what they're doing

for the elite divisions.

You are completely blowing off and

treating the people that are funding this

whole thing like the gum on your shoe.

Now I know that at the Masters,

they don't bring in a lot of people.

They don't bring in a lot of,

the masters don't even support themselves.

However, they fund this whole thing.

Whole thing.

Yet, we say we're a community,

but you ignore the other divisions,

except for the elite,

until it comes to taking in the cash.

Other than taking in the cash,

there is no community.

It is the professional sport of the elite

athletes and the elite athletes only.

That's all I got to say about that.

Yeah,

I think there was a decent crowd of...

I mean,

I know you guys say the stands are

empty or whatever,

but I think there was...

quite a bit of people that would come

watch the masters when it was the festival

style at Madison.

Like it may,

it may look like the stands are empty

compared to a full Friday night elite,

but like if you took what was in

the stands and,

or how many tickets were sold,

and you can't measure this.

I know you can't see who bought Masters

tickets,

but how many people went to Madison for

the festival style because there were

Masters there or teams there?

I think it's more than you think.

I will tell you,

every time in Madison when I was in

the stands for the Masters,

more people were there for the Masters

than the teams.

Yes.

By far.

Yes, exactly.

Yeah, exactly what Carolyn said.

And, oh,

I want to address this real quick,

Mark Phillips.

When is the last time Masters got to

touch an odd implement snail,

a pack of whale bear?

Twenty-three with the jerry can when they

were all together and they got basically

to the same workout that the elites were

doing.

That's the problem.

They took away that shared programming and

shared equipment.

And, yeah, once they're on their own,

they don't get anything.

I agree.

Yeah.

I do want to address this real quick.

Berkshire has a meeting where they ask how

much shit ton have we made from CrossFit?

Here's what I'm saying, Ed,

is that in the percentage of money brought

in,

the age groups and the adaptives put more

money into that pot than anybody else.

So while it may not be a shit

ton on its own,

it's a shit ton in the percentage of

the pot.

I mean, that's your families.

That's your community.

That's who's going to keep growing the

sport.

You need that.

And you need to expose the fans that

are there to see the Tia Toomeys.

They need to catch an event and be

exposed to the incredible adaptive

athletes and these teens doing incredible

things.

And this seven-year-old woman doing

incredible things.

They're like,

I need to get my mom doing that.

Like,

you have to be exposing people to this.

It needs to be together.

JD Fitz says,

I'm pretty sure affiliate fees fund the

games more than the open fees.

If you go and look at the rule

book,

they break down where the percentage of

money brought in by the open goes to

the CrossFit game season.

And that includes the prize purses for all

of the divisions.

And that is the open only.

And then from that,

You have quarterfinals,

which we have no idea where that money

goes.

And you have semifinals,

and we have no idea where that money

goes.

I'm not saying that CrossFit's sitting in

a bath of greenbacks and soaking it all

in.

But I'm saying that the population that is

funding what they show in the rulebook to

be is the age groups and the adaptives.

The day prior to the games should be

Masters Adaptive Teams,

and then during the CrossFit Games,

they show highlights of our events in

different divisions.

They lose money every year.

Where does the other money come from?

They say they lose money every year.

I do not believe that.

They say.

I think that was a leftover statement from

regionals costing them too much money and

the season costing them money.

I don't believe that they lose money.

Add up the...

open quarters and semis income.

And I don't believe it.

Dawnfall stated that the games actually

made money the one year he was doing

the games.

This is prior to the twenty four.

Yeah.

It was the rest of the season that

was costing CrossFit too much.

Yeah, I can believe that for sure.

Now,

we have not done anything to fix the

Granted, twenty three in Madison,

the stands were packed.

Yeah, exactly.

Twenty four.

Pretty good crowd until the Lazar thing.

Yeah.

And now we're trying to come back from

that.

And it and there's we're getting no help

with that in the style and the format

that is going through this year.

Everybody's in the same town,

but you're nowhere on the same grounds,

right?

How many families,

friends can afford to fly out to

California and stay in one of their shit

cities to support a master's athlete?

Well, I don't know about the cities.

I've not been to California that much,

but it is an expensive trip.

I have no one coming.

My husband's coming.

That's that.

And I agree with Carolyn and the workout

should be versions of the elite workouts

for some and them all.

Anyways, I agree.

They should scale the versions for the

elites, for the masters,

so you can show how you can stay

fit getting older through the methodology.

Yep.

Yep, Shanna, I was too.

Well,

they kind of led us to believe that

at the beginning of the year, Shanna.

I mean,

they said we're all going to be back

together, but we're not, but you're not,

no,

I wish they would have never said that.

Yep.

Bring back the community.

If you want this sport to continue,

I think that's the only way.

Yeah.

We're just getting further and further

away from what made this special.

And you take away the special,

then people just aren't going to do it

anymore.

Yep.

And I am excited for the Elite Games

this year.

I am excited for the Tony events.

I like the five events that we know

right now.

But a lot of my friends are Masters

athletes, and I'm really bummed for them.

Really bummed.

And like Carolyn said,

we're probably getting six,

maybe seven workouts.

Maybe it's a two-part finisher.

So we get seven.

Yeah, there you go.

Let me read it.

Number of events got announced tomorrow,

which was an edit from supposed to be

last week, but now it's tomorrow.

So far, event five finishes day two.

I don't think we are getting more than

seven scores and could even have six

events.

They have often done one on the last

day.

Yeah,

they do try to end earlier on the

last day.

I'm hoping with

the smaller field they've gotten this

figured out a little bit like we we

don't have the teens there we only have

twenty in the older so hopefully they have

a timeline mapped out that they can do

two events on Sunday but even seven is

I think I mean they've got to six

would really be pushing it for five

hundred dollar entry fee you need to have

seven events

Well, if you have seven events,

you also need to make sure your

programming doesn't have a bunch of single

modality stuff, and it's pretty balanced.

Your programming needs to be good for six

events.

They'll just cut for the final.

Have they announced no cuts?

I actually think they may have said no

cuts.

I don't know.

I don't know if I just... Maybe...

I don't know.

Maybe I dreamt that.

I know Davis said it several times for

the elites, but I've not heard it.

I actually haven't heard from Joe and Bob

on anything anywhere for a while.

Maybe since it's midweek,

they will give us a full third day.

If not,

my angst for Bob and Joe's programming is

exploding.

I've got enough for the both of us,

Janice.

did i say i got media credentials this

year for the games your program needs to

show very good for the for the six

events and not a bunch of single modality

tests yeah you actually came through on

that carolyn we could hear you now you're

kind of like a robot again and visually

but we could hear you for a second

i'm just mad i don't get to show

my total bar fitness

well the last thing I wanted to finish

up on is WFP tour stop two qualifiers

ended last week and our very own Carolyn

qualified top ten in the qualifier and is

going to be is there video review Carolyn

or has that already been done

there should be, uh,

I haven't received anything yet,

but there should be video review.

And in the past there's been penalties

because people didn't weigh their things.

It's kind of like rogue standards.

Like you have to weigh the barbell,

weigh the weights, everything.

So maybe some people forget.

Um,

so you might see a little bit of

change,

but I think they should be looking at

it this week,

I'm assuming in the next week as well.

So with that, once that's approved,

you will be competing in Indianapolis.

So you'll have competed in London and

Indianapolis.

If you score enough points,

you get to go to Copenhagen.

Was it, um,

the normal cast of characters on the

leaderboard or was there anyone new?

I only recognized a couple names.

I shouldn't say a couple.

Kyra Milligan was on the qualifier list.

Carolyn,

those I would say are the two biggest

names.

And then there were other people that...

Yeah, that weren't in London.

Yeah.

Which is actually really good news for

Carolyn because that increases her

opportunity.

Yeah, I want

more people more more new people coming to

this one it's better for me yep because

then that gives her a better shot at

earning a pro card right and then no

more if she gets it no qualifiers at

all next year and all expenses paid that'd

be sweet

I do need to swim, though.

I haven't swum in a year.

Me either.

What's the point?

Look at this.

Shanna Bunce may actually watch WFP for

Carolyn.

Well,

hopefully they have a little bit better

camera work than last time because it was

tough to catch Carolyn.

Except for the event she dominated.

Yeah.

first event you like didn't even get to

see her the the event she knocked herself

out and kept going because she's a hockey

player um yeah i my intent is to

be in indianapolis um supposedly i have

media credentials for that um and i'm

gonna try i'm i'm actually gonna rent some

professional lenses for san jose

and see if it makes a difference in

my photography and video work there.

And if it does,

I'll do the same for Indianapolis and see

what I can get there.

They've already released three workouts.

So we have a swim workout.

Yeah, we have a swim workout.

We have a ten K run and then

the combine.

Oh, that's right.

Carolyn cannot contain herself over the

combine.

When is Indianapolis?

End of August.

The twenty ninth?

I think so.

Do I have media credentials?

Yes, you do.

According to Patrick Clark on on this

show, he said we had them.

I have not seen that in writing.

Carolyn says they have a ten K run

the combine and a swim workout with echo

bike swim with echo bike.

I wonder if they'll be allowed to dive

in the pool.

Just kidding.

I don't hate that rule.

You know how I dive in the pool.

Here's my I.

Do however you want.

It's your workout, your standards.

Don't say you're doing it for competitive

balance.

Yeah.

That was the piece I hated.

Yeah.

I don't really care that you can or

can't.

Yeah.

Because the good swimmers are going to

listen.

If you're not an expert at flip turns,

you're not coming that far off the wall.

It's no advantage.

Agreed.

You'll be able to get off the wall

much further stopping and turning.

Agreed.

Only the top-notch swimmers are going to

be able to take advantage of a flip

turn.

And the same thing with a dive.

Yes.

Just don't say it's for competitive

advantage.

It's a two-part event.

Not sure if it's multiple points,

but they did dive into the pool in

the video.

What do we call those shitty heats for

WFP?

I don't know what you call them.

I've never called any heats shitty.

I am a nerd.

I like seeing who the up-and-comers are.

I love going out.

If you ever see Jamie and I at

an event,

we're out there from heat one to heat

five.

I love it all.

Because the only way those heat one

people...

get better is to have the opportunity to

do it.

Absolutely.

And then they know what they're shooting

for because they've been to an event,

they've competed,

they see where they're at.

My old players coach was at syndicate.

He started in heat one.

He ended the weekend in the next to

last heat.

That's a huge jump.

And what does that do for a young

up-and-coming athlete?

It tells them what they need to get

better at,

and it gives them confidence going into

the next one.

Carolyn's just going to chat now.

Yeah, you just need that, like,

large venue atmosphere,

the being corralled.

You just need the experience.

And you need to see...

how far off you are or not.

Like maybe you surprise yourself and

you're like, that's my jam.

You know, when you're, when you,

depending on like,

if you're in these like camps or not,

and you're training,

if you're training by yourself and you're

newer up and coming in the sport,

like you just,

it's tough to get all those data points

and see what people are good at.

And, you know,

you kind of need to be on the

floor experiencing it with them.

And here's the reality of the situation.

Online qualifiers,

online stages are not reliable.

No.

So you could be Kale Lehman,

show up at Mayhem,

and finish last in every event.

And he didn't start in the first heat.

Exactly.

He finished, what,

fourth or fifth in the Open?

Right.

And that's reality.

That's reality of our world right now.

People cheat.

People shortcut.

And they qualify for these events.

And people don't get the opportunities

because of that.

And when they do,

they deserve that shot from Heat One to

see if they can get up to the

final heat.

Mm-hmm.

Because I think Alex, my old coach,

finished like thirteenth at Syndicate.

He did great.

And he came in the weekend and he

won.

Yeah.

So, that's where we are.

That's the reality.

Those are the people I like to see.

Coming in thirtieth, finishing fifteenth.

Like, I think those are great.

It's probably where you really deserve to

be.

You just never get the shot.

Right.

Well,

I don't have anything else to say tonight.

We did pretty good.

Did you finish Dutton Ranch?

Yeah.

That was a shocking end.

Yeah.

I know.

And I feel like it's going to be

so long until we get the next season.

Yeah, it's going to be a year.

Yeah, at least.

I think they're saying, like, yeah,

I don't know.

I don't like that.

They need to have these planned out

better.

That's the way TV's been since the

inception of time.

No, it hasn't.

They're just shorter seasons now.

Right.

It's nine episodes and not even every

year, like, now we might get, like,

late fall star next year for another nine

episodes.

It used to be twenty one plus episodes

and it was started every fall and went

all the way till May.

So you only had a little break.

Carolyn says,

thank you for all the donations.

Yeah.

Anybody who put in anything in the chat,

super chats,

one hundred percent of that money goes to

Jamie and Carolyn to help them get to

the games.

So they get to do all these fun

workouts we talked about.

So, yeah, we have about five minutes left.

Any super chat goes directly to them.

And I want to thank you all for

doing that.

It's a great way to raise money for

them without forcing you to buy anything.

I guess on that note,

shirts are supposed to be coming in the

sixteenth.

OK, so four days from now.

So once I get them,

I will give the ordering instructions.

I don't want to be that guy that

puts out ordering instructions and it

says, sorry, shirts aren't in yet.

I don't want tear or noble reputation.

Yeah.

We'll wait till they get here to do

that.

And I will have some at the games

with me as long as they get here

before my flight takes off.

Net say Milano.

Nine ninety nine.

Thank you so much.

That reminds me of those Milano cookies.

Thank you so much.

Milano cookies.

You know what?

Cook it.

This is I hate flying these days,

especially long trips across the country.

But those cookies, the Bischoff,

those are phenomenal.

And what I like is you only get

two.

Like you get a pack, there's two,

that's all.

It's good control for me.

I don't even know what Ed's trying to

say.

They must get paid a lot.

I don't know.

Or not enough.

I don't know what he's trying to say.

Oh, oh, oh.

The writers for Dutton Ranch,

they don't get CrossFit money.

They get semis CrossFit money.

Which isn't much.

Okay.

Mark Phillips with another five dollars

just because he likes to see me write

in my little notebook.

There you go.

Nicole, you already donated to me.

Thank you.

Nicole with twenty.

Thank you so much, Nicole Sherman.

Well,

if they get paid like per episode of

writing, wouldn't it?

I mean,

they should write like twenty episodes a

season so they get more money.

Facts are Taylor Sheridan hates a writer's

room.

Yeah.

So I'm not even sure.

he allows them to write.

I know that like one of the shows

he did a while ago, he fired everybody.

That's ridiculous.

Don't they have like a new showrunner

coming on?

I think so.

But he, his,

this was his reason for firing him.

There was no continuity in the storyline

because it was bouncing from writer to

writer.

So he just sat down and wrote the

whole thing.

And that way it has some continuity to

the story,

which I do get and I do appreciate.

Do you think there's going to be any

crossover from Marshalls and Sutton Ranch?

The Marshalls writers are so god-awful.

I hope not.

Well,

and I had heard because of the Paramount

contract,

they could only have three Yellowstone

characters per show,

so they wouldn't be able to do any

crossover.

I don't know any truth to any of

that.

Paramount owns CBS.

Yeah.

It didn't make sense to me either.

I don't know.

I don't know.

Good.

Good thing is like their shows coming out

now, even though Dutton's are over,

you have Ted Lasso coming back in August.

This is maximum pleasure guaranteed.

I thought last week was the final episode.

I almost threw something at my TV and

then I looked it up and there's one

more episode.

Thank God.

You're gonna probably have the same

reaction next week.

Oh, my gosh.

I was like,

it was like a Dallas cliffhanger if they

would have ended it there.

Oh, boy.

Like Jr got shot.

Who shot Jr?

Yeah.

I know I'm showing my age,

but that if that's where they would have

left it,

I would have that my my mom named

my sister Kristen from Dallas.

Because she shot Jr.

don't know i don't i didn't watch it

i just know that dallas was like her

favorite show uh kristen shot jr okay yep

yeah um you have to watch that show

like isn't it an apple show it is

i can't watch it i don't have any

i don't even have an apple id we

need to talk it's so good there's so

many good shows on there

shrinking ted lasso i know this one so

many good shows all right guys we're done

lunch time for more tv talk and stuff

or whatever corey makes me go into and

i'm still reaching out for a um a

guest for the week

hope you all have a great rest of

your night.
