Together, they explore shadow work, authenticity, manifestation, and why the parts of yourself you've been taught to fear may actually hold your greatest gifts.

SPEAKER_01: Hey everybody and
welcome to Making Miracles

Happen.

We are talking about magic and
conjuring your inner magic,

which I know is a topic that
everybody wants to hear more

about because we're all magical
beings.

And we can learn how to access
our gifts and so much more.

But we're going to get started
on this interview.

I've been waiting to do for
quite some time.

So let's jump right in to my
guests.

Could you please introduce
yourself and just tell people

what it is that you do?

SPEAKER_00: Hi, I'm Kiedrick
Olsen.

And I do a lot, but I consider
myself to be a shadow worker

rather than a light worker
because I work, I tell people I

work on the darker side of
spirituality to help you find

the light.

Meaning, if there are paranormal
problems, I teach you how to

work with the paranormal
problems.

If you've got some inner blocks,
some spiritual work that needs

to be done that's inside, you
know, the fear, the anger, the

self-doubt, all that kind of
stuff.

We work on that to clear those
things out of the way so that

you can find your authenticity
and have a nice, wonderful

environment energetically to
live in and create in.

SPEAKER_01: I actually really
love that.

Now you're an author.

Can you tell us about some of
your books?

SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I've got one
book out.

It's called Runes for
Transformation.

The first, let's say, 20 years
of my teaching of spiritual work

was all in the Norse tradition,
dealing with runes and Norse

mysticism.

And my book is called Runes for
Transformation because it's not

about divination, it's about
exploring the runes within you

and seeing how the runes are in
existence in the world around

you.

And then when you shift your
inner world, the outer world

shifts.

So I treat the runes in a very
traditional way.

I treat the runes as like
psychological metaphors to shift

your own understanding of your
inner world, to work on your

inner stuff, to create runic
affirmations that will then

transform your perception of the
world around you and change

everything from the inside out.

SPEAKER_01: I see, I love what
you say about that because I've

never heard anybody really
describe using a tool that way

for divination and completely
changing it to more of the inner

world.

And one of the things that I've
noticed over the years, because

I used to do psychic readings,
is that people weren't using it

for that inner exploration.

They weren't using it for the
spiritual aspect.

They just wanted divination.

And I was like, that's not what
I do anymore.

Like, I don't want to do that.

It was very unfulfilling.

So it's I love that you found a
fulfilling way to do this.

And can you share a little bit
about how you can use runes in

that way?

SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.

For example, the very first rune
is the rune called Fehu.

It looks like a letter F.

It is where we get the letter F
from.

It's the letter F sound.

It looks like the F.

It is F.

In the old Old Norse, Fehu meant
cattle because the pinnacle of

old Norse society was a farmer.

That was the height of being
rich.

And so if you had a lot of
livestock, you were more, you

had more affluence.

Eventually the word fehu became
the word fe, which became our

word fee.

And so it talks about what you
have that you can invest time,

effort, energy, what you can
invest and what value you're

investing in.

So if you value your own
personal transformation, your

spiritual evolution, you're
willing to invest in that, both

time and money and effort to
make that transformation happen.

So since it's representing a
value, when you look at Feihu,

what do you see your value as?

What do you value for you?

What are your values?

And it's not about thinking
about it, it's about feeling it.

What do you feel is your value?

And that's your Fehu.

And if you can look at the world
around you and realize that the

world is a reflection of
yourself.

So if you're seeing low-value
stuff around you and you see

people that are devaluing what
you do, that's because it's a

reflection of your own fehu.

So spend some time with Feihu.

Build up that sense of value,
reassess what your strengths,

what your accomplishments are,
build up your own personal fehu

to this higher level.

And it's going to change how you
interact with the world and how

the people in the world interact
with you.

And suddenly they're going to
start seeing value in you and

treat you like you have more
value because you're radiating a

higher level Feihu.

And so you could use that word,
that rune, fehu, just the sound,

because old form of rune magic
is called Gulder.

You see, the old Norris did not
do divination with runes.

Divination with runes was
actually invented in the 1980s.

And so the old Norris were using
runes as transformative tools.

And so singing the runes, you'd
carve the runes, you'd stain the

runes, and you would sing the
runes to bring their energies

around.

So if you have like a little
fehu from a rune set, you can

carry that with you and you can
hold it and you could sing to

yourself, Feihu, Feihu, feel the
feeling that inner value energy

building up within you.

And then you can go out and
interact with the world at a

higher value level.

SPEAKER_01: That those are
really powerful words because

you you talk about looking at
your value, you know, what is

what is your value amongst other
aspects of value.

And I remember being like 28 or
29 years old, and I was like, I

have nothing to offer.

Like it was just that feeling, I
have nothing to offer.

And it actually set me on the
whole spiritual quest of finding

what my own value was because I
was finding that people weren't

valuing me in the way that I
wanted to be valued, but I felt

like I had nothing to offer.

And so when I went on my
spiritual quest, not only did I

look back and realize what I've
always had to offer, but it's I

have so much more to offer now.

And it really changed my life.

It changed my income, it changed
the relationships that I had

with people.

I love this.

SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.

And that's exactly why I do
shadow work, is because I've

taught the spiritual stuff for a
few decades, and I would see the

same kind of thing over and
over.

People have these great
spiritual gifts, they've got

great spiritual abilities, but
they're not using them, they're

not putting them to uh any sort
of work, or they hit like a

brick wall in their spiritual
growth and they can't get

through it.

And the more they push through
it, the more that wall pushes

back.

And so we I had to do the shadow
work myself.

I had to have a dark night of
the soul myself, get through

that, and then realize, oh, here
are the techniques, here are the

practices, check in with my
guides, what I call the

whispers, and start developing
that.

And now when I work with my
clients, we work on the shadow

stuff where they go, I know I
have these abilities, I feel

this calling, I have this
connection to the other side,

but I'm afraid of it.

If I do this, my family's gonna
say this.

What about my job?

What about this?

So we go into the shadows, we
clear that up so that my clients

can live an authentic spiritual
life.

Their light becomes an
expression of who they really

are.

SPEAKER_01: I think it's one of
the biggest battles that we have

on this planet is not feeling
like we can be authentic.

We're gonna be shunned, we're
gonna lose everything we love.

And that's almost like the dark
night of the soul.

It's like, what do I have to
release?

What do I have to be willing to
lose to get to my most authentic

self?

And then most people realize
they don't lose anything other

than that old version of
themselves.

But it it is is very dark.

It feels very dark, it's very
heavy.

And and I'm very interested in
your story.

Like, how did you even get into
this to help people this way?

SPEAKER_00: Uh again, I was
teaching spirituality.

My had my my book, Runes for
Transformation, had come out.

SPEAKER_01: Well, let me pause
for one second.

How did you even get into that?

Was this your whole entire life?

Like, were you were you raised
religious or were you brought up

in a home where it's like, oh,
we we do this?

SPEAKER_00: That's a very good
question.

Yeah, I I was raised with it.

I was I lived in a house that
was haunted.

You know, you'd watch TV and you
could see the dial change by

itself.

You'd hear footsteps going up
and down the hallway.

My parents took me to a
spiritualist church, so which

was like regular Protestant
church, but there's trance

channeling at the end of it,
seances every Saturday night in

the church basement.

My mom's OBGYN when I she was
pregnant with me is Dr.

Robert Bradley, who did seances
in his home.

The movie The Changeling was
partially based on his

experiences.

I I literally grew up with this.

And I started studying runes
when I was like maybe 12, 13

years old.

So I I grew up with this.

I I live with this.

This is this has been my life.

This has been a way of life for
me since I was a kid.

I I when I tell people I was
born into the paranormal, I mean

it quite literally.

Born into the paranormal.

Even my kids grew up thinking,
you know, this is normal, this

is natural.

And when they moved out of the
house, they would they sent me

messages going, how do we
attract spirits to the house?

Because I'm not used to not
having spirits around me all the

time.

How do I make them come in so I
can feel back to normal again?

So even my kids grew up knowing
that the paranormal is

completely normal, the
supernatural is completely

natural.

So it's been a way of life for
me for my entire existence on

this planet, this lifetime.

SPEAKER_01: That's incredible.

That is so unique.

Now, how did you get into
helping people with this?

SPEAKER_00: Well, I have also
been a musician.

I was one of those kids that
read music before words.

And, you know, in my 20s and
into 30s, I was playing like

seven different musical
instruments and different genres

of playing all the time.

And I was working a full-time
job, and I got the opportunity

to join a band that was going to
go on tour.

You know, they needed a a bass
player and a lead singer, and I

said, fine, I'll hop on, I'll do
it.

And the money that was coming in
was exactly what I was getting

paid from the day job.

So I knew I'd be able to take
care of the house, the wife, the

kids, everything was great.

So I put in my two weeks,
started cramming on this band,

going like crazy.

And then, and I I, by the way, I
do have a degree in music

business management.

So I was able to look over the
contracts and I had people that

are in the industry.

They knew the promoter well.

It was all good.

Everything was legit, it was
sound.

But the tour kept getting
delayed and delayed and delayed

until it was finally canceled.

And now I'm out of work.

I've got to figure out how to
support a family and kids and

everything.

And we we adjusted, we found a
way to make it work.

But for three years, I beat
myself up, blaming myself for

this, blaming myself for
everything fell apart.

Everything had just gone to
hell.

It was my fault.

I was impossible to live with.

But and the whispers kept giving
me teachings, instructions on

how to get through this, how to
work through this.

Because it was like a huge dark
night of the soul.

And I'm like, that's great.

Let me just type this up.

Let me put out a book, let me
write this and get out of here.

And they're like, no, no, no,
no.

You can't just get out of here.

You have to teach this.

I'm like, I know.

Let me write it up and I'll get
out of here.

Like, no, you have to use it
yourself.

You have to show people that
this works.

The messenger has to be the
message.

It isn't good enough just to
teach it.

You have to show them how it
works.

So I said, bye, screw you.

And I started, yes, I headbutt
with my guides.

We we like we're like all the
time still.

And so I started putting it to
use.

I started putting it into
practice.

And then I realized, oh, my path
in this life is not music.

Music's great, it's fun.

I still play guitar, I love it,
but my path in life is teaching.

And that's taught me the most
powerful lessons about the

lessons we learned from the dark
night of the soul, which by the

way, dark night of the soul is
almost always activated by your

higher self.

As much as it sucks, as much as
it's painful and it's hurts,

it's your higher self saying,
something's wrong in life.

We gotta reset.

And so I went through that, I
learned it, I put the pieces in

practice, I made it work, and
we're here talking because it

works.

And then I started putting the
pieces and parts together and

started teaching shadow work,
and I realized just how

important shadow work is for
people who are on a spiritual

path, because sometimes we get
side railed by the the shinies.

Sometimes we, you know, get
pulled into what we think we're

supposed to be.

You know, families and friends
tell us no, you have to be like

this, you have to be like that.

And that bogs them down.

And so, you know, that was a
huge change for me.

And I suddenly realized, yep,
this is what I need to be doing.

And since that time, things have
just been getting better and

better and better.

Pieces fall into place like
magically.

I don't really have to put much
effort or concern into it.

You can still just struggle.

There's still sometimes the
roller coaster rides, but those

are fun now.

Those aren't like life
threatening life going, oh my

God, it's over.

It's like, ooh, here we go.

It's exciting now.

Let's have fun with it.

So yeah, that's how I got into
it.

SPEAKER_01: It's like, I wonder
what the other side of this is

gonna bring.

That to me is the excitement
because you know, doing your

work or you know, nothing's
gonna bring me down for too

long.

So what how am I gonna bounce
back from this?

And life gets more exciting.

I, you know, it's it's so
fascinating to hear, you know,

you talk about the shadow work
because a lot of healers and

people are moving into calling,
you know, what they do more

shadow work, but you have so
many people who are like, oh,

that's so bad, it's so negative,
it's so this.

I love the fact that you say it
comes from your higher self

because people who think that
shadow work is bad don't

understand shadow work.

SPEAKER_00: That's the thing is
the shadows are you.

You have the the shadows are
you, and at some point in your

life, those weren't shadows,
they were traits that you

learned, you adapted to your
environment to survive, to cope,

to exist in that world.

And they worked for who you
needed to be at that time.

But the person that you're
evolving into, the person you're

becoming, those are now shadows.

Those are now things that you
want to learn the lessons from

and find out why they helped
you, what's so important and so

beautiful about you that the
shadows need to exist in the

first place.

And when you understand those
shadows were there originally to

help you, that they are a part
of you, you could have like so

much gratitude going, yeah, I
wouldn't have gotten through

those times if I wasn't like
this.

I wouldn't have gotten through
those times if I didn't act this

way or believe those things.

But I did.

I made it through those times
because of the shadows.

And when you can have that
gratitude, you could release

that shadow energy and reclaim
the golden gift that that thing,

the shadows are hiding and
become more authentically you

because of the shadows.

SPEAKER_01: What do you think is
the greatest gift that you've

received from doing shadow work?

SPEAKER_00: This life because I
know I'm here to teach.

That I mean, flat out, I know
I'm a teacher.

That is it.

That's my life.

And shadow work you see, one of
my I was studying different

spiritual practice, different
traditions.

It came across chaos magic for a
while and studied that a bit.

And a big part of their process
is de-identification, you know,

learning who you are not.

And so instead of saying, I am
that I am, they say I am that I

am not.

And with shadow work, you start
to go through and you'll you

find your authentic, authentic
nature, and then you go, Oh,

that's not me.

Okay, so I'm not gonna put
effort into that anymore.

Oh, that's not me.

I'll put that away.

Oh, look, those are the shadows
other people are trying to

project onto me to help their
comfort zones.

No, I don't need that anymore.

And so when you do your shadow
work, you recognize other

people's shadows, you recognize
your own authenticity, and

you're able to de-identify with
the stuff that other people want

you to be, and you could be
authentically you.

And I think that's been the
greatest lesson is learning who

I am authentically and keeping
the people around me that

reinforce who I am
authentically.

Life is just magical that way.

SPEAKER_01: Do you find that
there's like a certain age range

that people go through to get to
this point?

Or do you feel like it's just
any time, any place?

SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that that's a
very valid question because I

look at your the life in 20-year
cycles.

The first 20 years of our life
are shaped by our parents, our

schools, our communities.

You can't help it.

That's it.

You don't know any other reality
than that, because that's the

only reality you're presented.

You get into your 20s and you
can start exploring the other

the rest of the world.

You see how other people live,
other lifestyles go.

And so you start to unravel in
those 20s and 30s.

You start to unravel all the
stuff that you learned about

yourself and how life works.

So I get some people coming to
me in their 20s and 30s, going,

ooh, what am I doing?

What do I need to release?

What do I let go?

Most of the people come in their
40s and 50s to me.

Because they remember when they
were kids, they had spiritual

gifts.

They were talking to imaginary
friends that weren't imaginary.

They were able to know things
that they didn't know, but mom

and dad pushed it away, shut it
down.

They made it through their 20s
and 30s, they built a career,

they have a solid life, they got
a family.

Now their gifts are coming back
online, and they're like going,

what am I doing?

So those next parts of their
life, they're shaping their

world.

And the 40s and 50s are shaping
their world.

And that's where they come to
me, do their shadow work and to

work on developing their psychic
abilities and reconnecting to

the paranormal realities because
they're like, they're in that

solid place to finally do it.

I do get people in the 20s and
30s because they're now they're

able to be in that place where
they can awaken and work through

that.

But yeah, it seems to be those
20-year patterns that I see

consistently happening.

SPEAKER_01: That's interesting.

I don't have the same time frame
that you use, but I love the

time frame that you use because
that makes perfect sense.

Like I don't work with people as
a healer, I don't work with

people under 30 years old.

Right.

And it's because between the
ages, and you kind of explain

this, between the ages of 18 and
30 is when you're trying to

figure out who you are outside
of your parents.

And then I I found out recently
that you don't even reach

adulthood, like what the
definition of adult is being a

fully developed mammal.

And we don't even reach
adulthood until around 30, where

our brains are fully developed.

And I'm like, oh, this starts to
make sense.

So the cycles make sense.

And then, you know, you're 10
years into your adulthood, so

you're still kind of new, you
know, you're only 10 years in

when you hit 40.

And you start noticing that
people in their 40s and their

50s.

And here's what I found out
because I started this work when

I was 19, and I had all these
psychics around me, like when I

used to work at the metaphysical
shop or when I do psychic fairs

and stuff, and they'd be like,
You're so young, you're so

lucky.

And I'm like, Well, when did you
get started?

In my 40s.

And I realized almost a blanket
statement from almost everybody

is in my 40s, and people have
some kind of awakening in their

40s.

And I was somehow lucky enough
to do it earlier, which wasn't

easy.

I did it, but it you can
actually like measure it when

you talk to people.

It's actually like scientific
facts.

Like it doesn't really happen
until your 40s for most people,

right on track with what you're
saying.

SPEAKER_00: Yep.

I think a lot of times people
have to get through that sad and

return.

They have to re-encounter all of
that kind of stuff, and then

they start building up.

And it's not always true.

I found people who are in their
20s who are aware, awakened,

they've got the solid ground and
they're ready to go.

People in their 30s, but you're
right.

It, you know, this is what I do
want to emphasize is it's not

too late.

You might be in your 50s and
feeling that call.

So what?

Let's do it.

You know, somebody said the best
time to plant a tree was 10

years ago.

The second best time to plant a
tree is right now.

So you know, you so it might
take two, three, four, five

years, but how old would you be
in two, three, four, five years

if you didn't do the work?

So do the work.

Who cares what age you are?

SPEAKER_01: I love that.

Such a positive message.

I love this message.

Can you just share with people
the name of your book again and

where they can find it?

unknown: Yep.

SPEAKER_00: Runes for
Transformation.

It's on Amazon and probably your
favorite local new age

bookstore, metaphysical
bookstore.

SPEAKER_01: I you know, I'm I um
I feel like people are gonna

listen to this and and just kind
of have some kind of awakening,

like an aha moment.

So I'm wondering, you said
you're a teacher.

Do people work with you as a
one-on-one or do they go with

groups?

Like how do people actually work
with you if they want to get

your help?

SPEAKER_00: Exactly.

If you go to kdrick.com, you
will find a or even

k-drick.teachable.com, you'll
find the courses that I'm

teaching.

You go to k-drick.com and you
will find a way to work with me

one-on-one because we can do
one-on-one sessions.

I've got a great six-week shadow
working course, which has videos

and audios and PDFs, but we also
work one-on-one with that

together for six sessions.

So I do a lot of one-on-one
mentoring.

I do some groups, I got online
classes, lots of stuff.

SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I love that.

Thank you so much.

You guys take action now.

I tell you to take action now
because when you're thinking

about it, when you feel like you
should do it, is the time to

take action.

So go ahead and scroll down,
click on that link, get that

now, and it won't take you away
from this interview, so you can

keep listening.

So, my next question to you is
what miracle story you would

like to share with the audience?

SPEAKER_00: This is one of the
things I want to talk about

manifestation.

That if you get clear on what
you want to manifest, and then

the secret is you let it go.

You don't hold on to it, you
don't fester on it, you don't

stew on it, you let it go.

So a few years back, I just
decided for fun I wanted to

decide what my ideal car would
be.

And I just, you know, it was
just kind of a thought game,

just to look at the game.

So I decided 2010 Dodge Charger,
all black, tinted windows, V8

engine, hemi engine.

You know, I want I wanted to go,
you know, big and powerful.

So I did my giggle dream.

I uh, you know, I just said,
what would be the extreme that

I'd want?

And so I put it together and I
said, you know, and even on the

dashboard, I want to have a Naga
statue, you know, snake goddess

from the east.

So I got a little Naga statue
and I put it on my desk so I

could see it every day.

And then I forgot about it.

I let it go.

I put together all the
parameters, I decided what it

was, I let it go.

And then my car one day broke
down.

Like the transmission just cut
out and it was way too

expensive.

And I freaked out a little bit.

But the bank is like, Yeah, no
problem.

Here you go.

Here's a little loan.

We'll get you going.

And let me set you up with our
autobroker.

And I'm like, okay, fine, you
know.

So I called up the auto broker
and I started immediately

compromising, you know, saying,
Okay, I'll settle for this, I'll

settle for that.

And they're like, Did you check
out our website what we have

available?

And I'm like, no.

So I went onto their website
while I was on the phone with

it, and the number one car, that
top car on the list, hit all of

my specifications.

And he's like, Yeah, we just got
that in like a week ago.

We haven't even we've just
cleaned it up, or it's just

ready.

I'm like, what?

And I'm like, okay.

And so all the pieces and parts
just fell into place.

I didn't even work at it.

I just set the parameters.

I put some made it reality by
having that little Naga

sculpture, and then I just let
it go, and I just let the

universe do its thing, and I
just trusted the process.

So yeah, that's kind of like my
miracle story.

SPEAKER_01: Did you just give us
the secret to manifesting?

SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's the
secret is to let it go.

Define the parameters.

Because if you there's one of my
favorite mistranslations of a an

old Norse poem, it talks about
using the runes.

It says runes are useful if you
use them, needful if you need

them.

Meaning if you put them out
there as a tool and you trust

they're gonna do their thing and
you're gonna do your thing,

they're gonna work.

But if you put your
manifestation out there and go,

oh, I hope it works.

Did I do it right?

Did I make this happen?

Is this going on?

It's gonna suck your energy,
you're gonna mess it up.

So I consider one of the most
powerful magical tools out there

to be an old Greek word,
nepenthe to forget.

So you do your work and you
forget that you did the work.

Just let it go.

Don't even pine on it.

Just trust that the process is
happening and do your own work,

do your own stuff, and then it
was just fall into place.

SPEAKER_01: Powerful words.

Thank you for sharing that
story.

SPEAKER_00: You're welcome.

SPEAKER_01: My last question for
you today is we are going to end

this interview on your words of
wisdom.

So, what words of wisdom do you
have for the audience?

And it could be something that
you channel from your guides or

something that you share with
most people, or something you

don't be afraid of yourself.

SPEAKER_00: You are an
incredibly powerful being, more

powerful than you know.

And the biggest blocks that
you're going to face is that

fear of who you are or what you
are.

For example, if you're feeling a
moment of anger, well, that

anger is generating energy for
you to do something with.

That anger is setting up a
boundary to protect yourself.

Anger is not a lower-level
energy.

It is not a sign that you're not
being a spiritual person.

You could be doing your
meditation, you could be doing

your spiritual practice
regularly, and you can use anger

in a very sacred, powerful way.

Just because you have anger,
just because you have fear, just

because you have regret or any
of those lower level emotions

does not mean you are not a
spiritual person.

It just means you need to stop
and listen to yourself and not

be afraid of those things.

Listen to those parts of you.

What do they have to say?

What do they have to teach you?

And what does it really mean
about you?

And that's how you're gonna
unlock those next steps in your

spiritual growth.
