Never backing down.
What is going on, everybody?
Welcome to Sunday, Sunday,
Sunday Night CrossFit Talk.
post games edition on a tuesday sunday
night crossfit talk on a tuesday before we
get into all the fun stuff from the
weekend shirts i have one here they're in
in my possession finally boom and they're
my favorite color scott i love blue
Yeah, they came out really well.
I'm really happy with how they came out.
I also,
I'm going to share my screen real quick.
I have the Venmo information.
If anybody wants the shirt,
you can Venmo me or cash at me.
The QR codes are there on the screen.
or it is scott-schweitzer-one at Venmo and
schweitzer-thor at Cash App.
It's thirty two dollars.
That includes shipping if you're in the
U.S.
So and then please in your memo,
put your name,
your address and your size so I can
get that out to you as quickly as
possible.
So I wanted to get that out of
the way before we get into all the
celebration talk.
But really happy how they came out.
And thank you to Vicky for putting this
graphic together because it came out
really cool and something I probably
couldn't have done this well.
So thank you to her for that.
So we've got congrats, Carolyn.
We've got congrats, Champ.
It was great to meet you and Lex.
thought i wasn't going to make it yay
congrats champ carolyn so and there's
another tessa i'm late congratulations
carolyn so thank you also i laughed at
this comment right here cross that that's
probably the most jacked that you'll ever
see me look ever when i first saw
the video of the sunday night and i
saw that picture i was like damn i
looked jacked
That's what I said.
I said she's going to get pulled off
the F tier or whatever.
She wasn't even on the tier.
I said don't let Heather see that one.
I was unranked.
So the funny thing is she actually was
wearing a crop top in that picture.
And then she requested a full t-shirt from
the games team after that picture so that
she could wear on the floor that week.
So that is probably the one and only
time you will ever see Carolyn in a
crop top.
Yeah, that crop top was an extra large.
And they forced me for the pictures
because they're like,
we need a headshot for that picture.
So they forced me to wear it just
for that.
And then they're like,
we'll get you a T-shirt the following day,
which they did.
So, yeah.
But did you see Ariel Loewen, her husband,
wear her crop top and stuff in the
bed?
I was like,
that's what I look like if I wear
the full crop top.
That was a great video too.
She's so good at the internet.
So good.
Dylan is too.
Jamie,
a lot of people are asking about your
arm.
I talked about it on the show over
the weekend.
How is it today?
Are you feeling?
Pretty good.
It's deep, though.
Yeah.
It's not going to be the prettiest scar,
but it's tender.
And I keep, like, bumping it on things.
That's not helping at all.
But it'll heal.
I'll have a cool scar.
Story to tell.
Yeah.
Thank you, Shanna.
Yeah, you're a little angel.
Yes.
Um, yeah,
because it was really bothering me,
like supporting my body weight.
And then once she got me on antibiotics,
that helped for the final day.
Well, you,
you and I were in the warmup for
the row and handstand walk event,
and you couldn't even do a high plank,
like a pushup position.
Yeah, it was, well, I was,
and I was very cautious handstand walking
that, that morning.
Like
I had tried to kick up in my
hotel room and like, I was like,
I can't support my body weight.
I don't know how I'm going to do
this event.
Um,
obviously adrenaline takes over when you
get out there.
And I did it.
I just was a lot slower than I
would have been normally.
Um,
so that one hurt the leaderboard a little
bit.
And then like, and burp, like, yeah,
pushing myself up off the floor does not
feel good.
I did burpees today again and it,
it still hurts.
Uh, CrossFit says, uh,
more excuses to show off the guns.
Yeah,
she has a stick on scars so she
can like hold her arm up to show
people.
Benita is asking what happened.
I've told the story a couple of times.
Quick recap of what happened.
I was carrying the med ball.
You know, it's like awkward.
You're here.
You kind of can't really like watch the
road in front of you.
Um, and I was turning the last turn.
There was a big sign signage post, um,
kind of got pinched off by two dudes
as well.
So I got like narrowly put in and,
you know,
when you're used to like your frame and
running,
you just don't know where you are at
in space with extra stuff.
Um,
and I clipped the signage hard holding.
I mean, it just, that impact,
it just exploded my elbow.
Funk was what happened.
Yeah.
I remember watching you cross the finish
line and have a bunch of blood.
And I'm like, what happened in my head?
But I had to go for my warmup.
I figured you just face planted with the
ball or something like on the cement.
And I was like, Oh man,
that must've hurt.
And then you told me the story and
I was like, Ooh, yeah,
I know exactly the corner that you're
talking about too.
Yeah.
I mean,
I think everyone thought I had fallen like
on pavement and just like skin my knee
or my, like something.
I mean,
cause it was on my leg from scooping
the med ball back up.
It was already like kind of gushing blood
out of my elbow.
So it was all over my leg.
I, and to be honest, I don't even,
I think I just don't even like know
if I also hit the ground and skidded
my knees or what the heck happened.
So I didn't really know where I,
where I'd hurt myself.
Um, but yeah.
The sign spent longer in medical than
Jamie did.
Probably because I was not in there for
very long.
Tessa says, okay, stop it with those arms.
Okay.
So we got that dirty business out of
the way, though.
I will say you guys do not need
to talk in this moment.
We called out the med ball danger a
week prior to the event.
That's all I'm going to say about that.
And we'll move on.
And it wasn't just Jamie.
Other people had instant instances as well
throughout the day.
Um, but anyway,
that's all I'm going to say about that.
And we'll move on to the happy stuff,
which is in a,
what was a crazy battle for the first
part of the week with McKenzie Riley, uh,
Carolyn Prevo did her thing.
And, uh,
Broke the band on the day three and
ended up winning by a pretty decent margin
in the thirty five to thirty nine year
old division.
And now she gets to carry around a
gold medal that is super freaking cool
with a picture of the ranch on the
back.
And it says fittest on earth.
And she will forever now be a CrossFit
Games champion.
And I'd say Sammy Scorzelli was really up
there the whole weekend.
She had.
I think similar to me or seven out
of the eight scores were top fives for
her or six.
But I think it's seven.
And she just had the one bad event
of her snatch.
The snatch one, yeah.
Yeah,
so she was battling me in a lot
of the wads.
So she was also a good race.
And I can't let it slide that listener,
frequent listener,
Lito Calagiani was in fifth.
It's top five finish as well.
Yeah, she smashed it.
Yeah, she smashed it this weekend.
And a quote from one of my favorite
movies, The Replacements, pain heals,
chicks dig scars, glory lasts forever.
Yeah,
not a lot of glory from all of
it, but okay.
It was still fun watching you out there.
Shana says, love the medal.
It is by far the coolest medal that
CrossFit has ever handed out.
yeah it's heavy it's big i forgot it
because i just came to starbucks today for
the podcast but yeah it's it's really well
done metal and i like the the ranch
like picture and then the the so i
think it's a special metal for sure yeah
it's a good one and we don't know
what the prize purse is but you won
that as well which is pretty cool and
you get to convert it to canadian to
make it stretch even further
Yeah.
I mean,
a bunch of it gets withheld every year,
so nothing new, but very exciting.
Good, uh, good prize money, um,
to help with the season,
the travel and extra.
Maybe they'll round up for you like they
did for teams and not down like they
did for individuals.
Uh, all right.
So let's talk about the overall week.
Um,
I really enjoyed watching the Masters.
I'm going to talk about the good stuff
first.
I really,
really enjoyed watching the Masters.
I love the pockets of fandom that you
get at the Masters because when they come,
they come with their families.
And unlike the elites where it's just kind
of sprawled out and your favorite
CrossFitters are different throughout the
All of the Jamie fans are in one
spot.
All of the Scott Pancheck fans are in
one spot.
And it gets loud in those little pockets
of fandom.
And it is really cool to watch.
And to me,
it was the most well-attended Masters
Games event that I've been to.
And I've been to a lot of them.
And it actually had like a regional feel
to me.
They were three deep on the rail.
for many of the lower age groups and
the stands were full by the end of
the day in addition to that granted it's
not in the big arena but it had
a really cool regional vibe to it all
your thoughts from the floor
I thought the atmosphere was good.
We came out, at least for my division,
people all over.
It seemed packed for the most part for
every one of the events that I took
the floor.
Yeah, I agree.
I think it seemed fairly well attended.
I'm trying to like picture the crowd last
year in Columbus.
I don't know if it's because that space
was so big.
It was really hard to see.
And the floors were spread out even more.
So you like what I'll say is the
stands by the floors were much,
much smaller than what we had this year.
Right.
They were only like two wide.
And the one set of stands that went
down both floors was like fourteen sets of
bleachers.
And then the other side where the
broadcast was and all of that,
that was jam packed full, too.
Mm hmm.
So you had both sides full,
where in Columbus,
you only got to be on one side.
And maybe because it was small,
people just didn't try to squeeze in, too.
Like, I don't know.
But because of the way it was set
up,
it gave a very regional vibe to it.
Shanna said it was so loud,
she couldn't hear her coach.
And I could talk.
What unknown price purse?
Are we shocked?
Do you have to pay jock tax and
Fed taxes in each country?
yeah i mean normally when i compete in
the states anytime i compete in the states
they withhold thirty percent and then on
top of that some uh some state taxes
as well so no like i think when
i was in madison i had six percent
in my so maybe like thirty six percent
was withhold um and then it ends up
being pretty close to the same amount in
canadian dollars when it's all said and
done um
The other cool thing I like...
So nothing new, I guess,
from international people.
We have that every year.
The other thing I'll say I liked is
where Vendor Village was.
You had to walk through it to get
in the door.
And I've heard the vendors were pretty
happy.
Good.
In that area.
A lot of traffic.
The CrossFit store was doing well at the
age group divisions.
Yeah.
It looked cool when you walked in.
It looked like an event because of the
way they had Vendor Village set up.
What else?
Was there any other things that you guys
saw that you liked?
I thought the athlete warm-up area was
very good this year.
Yeah,
I thought for the most part there was
enough machines.
Normally, a lot of times,
machines are very low.
What they have,
like two of the competition barbells,
they had other types of barbells there,
but then I think two or three of
the shorter bars that we would tend to
use on the floor.
Mm-hmm.
But for the most part, I mean,
everything that I needed was there.
I don't really warm up too much, honestly,
for like any of the events.
But for most people,
I think they have most like they have
their stuff.
i had a good time i just want
to say like i got to hang out
with larry and shelley young um i got
to talk to shanna i got to talk
to jace um i talked to lito wayne
short i hung out with almost a whole
day who's in the chat um i really
had a good time the funny thing is
i get way more recognized at the masters
games than i do at the regular games
way more,
which makes my heart feel good because I
really love that community and the
support.
The one bad thing I'm going to mention,
and then I will turn it over to
you guys, is stop with the two floors.
I just can't.
I have Rudy Berger,
who's my neighbor and friend,
and Jamie going at the exact same time.
How the hell am I supposed to watch
both?
And that's what was hard too with the
Flow Elite as well,
because I wish that they would have a
version of the Flow Elite where they have
different commentators,
let's say for the female floor and other
commentators for the men's floor.
And then you can pick before the workout
if you want to watch the female side
or the men's side.
because oftentimes like they would talk
about let's say the woman's side but
they're filming the men and then they're
talking about the men and it's the female
side being shown but i would say that
for a lot of it at least for
the most part sixty to eighty percent was
the men's side getting filmed yes is what
i've heard
Well,
and I stuck with Carolyn and Mackenzie
Riley and Scarpella going at it.
That's not how you pronounce her last
name.
Scorzelli.
Scorzelli.
Which means I completely missed Pancheck,
Noah, Mayer, all of them.
I didn't get to see any of them,
which really just sucks.
And I feel cheated about that.
Well, they'll be on flow,
so you can go back and watch them.
Well,
there's got to be a way to stagger
it in a way where you can watch
both in some way.
Like,
make one floor men's and one women's,
but stagger them back and forth so you
can get the equipment change and
everything done quickly.
Something like that.
There's got to be a way.
But I...
That'll turn it over to you guys.
That's just my one thing that I just
could not stand from the weekend.
My biggest thing with the Masters,
I didn't mind the programming this year.
I thought it was better than last year.
I thought last year was very power-based
and heavier.
This year,
and Jamie will disagree with me,
but I think they went the opposite and
a lot more lighter weights.
I think they could have added another
workout that had a little bit of heavier
weights.
Just to make it a little bit more
well-rounded,
I would have liked nine to ten events
for the younger division, let's say,
sixty and under, or fifty-nine and under,
and then maybe seven to eight events for
sixty and above, at least.
Not just scores, like events, right?
Ideally like seven to eight.
But it was the chip timers.
like that at this level we should not
be relying on stopwatches especially when
a lot of the finishes are so close
like you look at the burpee thruster one
you're having like three four people
finish at the exact same time and it's
just stopwatches um doing that or on the
rower
You have a thousand meters for time or
nine hundred or nine hundred,
eight hundred, depending on your division.
And we're having the rower count up versus
counting down and just taking that time
right there.
We're relying once again on a stopwatch to
determine someone's score,
which is just crazy at this level.
Andrew Sten,
you and I are never going to agree
on legends topics.
I'm just going to say it right now.
If you wanted to run the event twice
as long as you can run one floor
or stagger the heats, listen,
you cut the field down.
You cut the number of events that are
being done down,
cutting time in all different places.
Why do you then have to run both
floors?
We did the other two Legends games with
one floor being shown at a time,
and it worked.
Now, all of a sudden,
this is the only way,
or we can't get it in in the
time allotted.
I don't buy it.
I talked to Bob after the row workout
just to kind of express my frustration
with them counting up.
And he said that like, you know,
with the amount of like volunteer judges
and stuff,
they didn't want to risk it basically with
the resetting of
those monitors and it being like the same
for everyone and accurate and all that.
And I just, I mean, and,
and he said like, you know,
they just lack the volunteers really.
Like they have a hundred and twenty,
let's say that sign up,
but then only like sixty show up.
But I still need the same number of
volunteers for growing two floors at the
same time.
Yeah.
I still think regardless.
Yeah.
like you take an extra minute or two
to make sure all the screens are the
same and that can be the head judge
going through um even if it's a rogue
let's say rower and you're not as familiar
with the screen I think that's just is
something that has to get done like that's
that time should be going down um but
yeah more so my things were more events
the big things is I would like to
see more events and at least,
at least the stopwatch stuff for a start,
for a start.
And then eventually if we could have,
you know, not at the same time,
that'd be the next thing.
But I,
if that's the way it goes so that
we can get, you know,
through the day a little faster, it sucks,
but like, sure.
Okay.
The, we need chip timers.
it needs to be legitimate.
Like you have people, if here's the thing,
if you want this thing to continue to
grow and you want legitimate athletes to
come into the space,
you better make it as similar to what
they experienced.
And like you have people like Travis and
Noah, and I know Scott's done it.
So he's kind of familiar,
but Travis and Noah have expectations and
to come in,
And it'd be kind of a joke.
And you're just like, I mean,
some people had tie break time.
Some people didn't.
I mean,
you're not even certain when you got to
a thousand meters.
It's whatever the judge felt like.
Some people stopped rowing with ten meters
and it's rolling.
When is the judge actually clicking their
button?
Who freaking knows?
Because you can't even review anything to
even check anything.
scores you have to do chip diners and
i'm sorry but like and maybe it's because
we just went through this and i and
then i went and watched elites and i
get it it's the twentieth year anniversary
and everything needs to be spectacular and
huge and amazing but when you have three
people
It's three volunteers on the floor per
athlete and three equipment team members
on the floor per athlete.
And you have rogue right down.
You can't get a rogue rep over to
the McHenry Center to show them how to
set up a countdown.
That's insane to me.
Because even when the let's say like when
your meters go up,
it doesn't stop automatically at nine
hundred.
It could go to nine ten.
You know, it kind of like skips numbers.
So then all of a sudden,
like when like whenever that person sees
the nine hundred,
but it could have been like nine or
seven or.
or one thousand so it's really hard to
press your stopwatch at the right time and
with that much money on the line
especially for the younger divisions like
you just want to make sure that the
scores are accurate and that the right
person gets the right amount of points
that's that's the only thing yeah uh mr
dex hopkins uh you guys are lucky we
let you come to the same event here's
two shirts good luck
Okay, so no, Andrew says, no, Jamie,
we can't.
Okay, here's the thing.
If Rogue wants you to use their equipment,
they probably should make sure it gets
used correctly or don't use it.
If C-tos are easier, then use C-tos.
Why do you have Rogue equipment?
Did they sponsor it?
And if they sponsored it,
they should want to make sure it's used
correctly.
So now you're telling the world,
Our equipment is too difficult to use.
Don't use Rogue stuff.
Use C-II because we don't even know how
to push re-Rogue.
My goodness.
You're doing, I mean, Rogue, I'm serious,
Katie, if you're listening,
if you re-watch this,
you did yourself no favors by not,
and I don't know if it's a legend
thing and nobody wants to work with Bob
and Joe.
This is another issue I have.
And if that's the case,
HQ needs to step in.
But like if people don't want to work
with you and they don't want to come
help and help with equipment and help with
setup, we have a huge issue.
I don't think it's that confusing to put
nine hundred meters for time or one
thousand meters and then just go and then
just go reroll or whatever.
I did it in the warm up the
next day.
I went and sat down,
spent literally five seconds for an hour
and I was like,
just set my roller to a thousand meters
just to let you know in five seconds.
i need to uh show you where to
hit the riff alert next time you go
off like that scott's face he just kind
of sat back and like his eyes just
yeah i'll probably get banned from masters
games or whatever i don't know you know
who knows what's going on in this media
world anymore uh claude still banned from
rogue no sweet well we're probably getting
banned from legends forever but
Jason Bourne, it's sad.
It's sad because all I want to do
is provide constructive criticism.
I said it.
I said it when they announced the event.
You need to set this to count down.
Whatever you need to do to figure that
out, you need to be working on it.
I mean,
you had five days or whatever from when
I commented on it,
and other people expressed that same
concern.
Well,
originally we were supposed to run to our
rowers, so I'm just glad that we started.
It wouldn't even have mattered.
I wouldn't even have cared if we ran
to our rowers.
If you're slow at getting in your rower
and starting it,
that gives you less time to handstand
walk.
It doesn't matter.
You still set it to a thousand meter
countdown.
Larry Young,
I wish Jamie would just start opening up.
No sweets for Jamie.
I just want to give constructive
criticism.
Like, I'm not trying to bash them.
I'm trying to let you know, like, Rogue,
too, like, be smart with what you supply.
You want it to look good.
I mean, when I talked to Bob,
he seemed to think it was because of
the volunteers wouldn't really know how to
do it.
Um, or,
or they were going to get like,
they were unsure was going to be
consistent.
Um,
so I'm sure he thought about all these
things and it's just crazy that you don't
take, you know, a moment before the heats,
like,
let's say all of them are a thousand,
nine hundred.
And then for this many heats and then
before the heat that goes to nine hundred,
eight hundred,
then you go and set those up.
But I don't know.
If they thought about it, I don't,
here's the thing.
I really truly don't think they think
about it.
It's the same way with programming.
Like, I don't think they test things.
I don't think they have any foresight of
how things are going to play out.
I mean,
the questions that were asked in the
briefing and then they not have an answer
for or critically thought through it is
it's mind boggling.
For the briefing, we should have all,
all of the workouts should have already
been out on comp.
Once they released all of the workouts,
they should have all been on competition
corner with like the information on each
workout.
So then everyone can read through it.
And then when you get to the briefing,
you don't ask a thousand questions about
every workout because everyone's already
read through it.
And then they can pick point little parts
of their standards and be like,
can you guys look over X, Y,
and Z that you wrote here?
You know, but.
It's fun how none of the divisions are
run by former competitors.
Air the tea, so much tea.
I mean, to be fair.
A lot of these are very fixable things.
Very fixable.
Like the chip timers or some sort of
finish line and the rope,
that's very easy to fix.
It's not a huge thing to fix,
and it would make a world of a
difference in precision.
Yeah.
Just to correct CrossFat,
Kevin Ogart was a former competitor.
He's running Wheelwod now.
Bob was a former competitor.
Um,
I don't know how far he made it
exactly.
He may have made the games as a
master's athlete early on.
Um, but I think it was like, yeah,
I think Shannon, you're right.
I think Bob was a games competitor at
one time.
Uh,
I,
anything else on the masters before we
move on to, uh, the elite individuals?
I just think I've said this other places
because there's been a lot of talk.
Like for one,
I know I'm very harsh on Bob and
Joe.
I appreciate everything that they have
done for the Masters community.
I think them stepping up when they did
for the Legends and them running the
Legends in December as a theater comp is
wonderful.
I just,
I personally just think that's where they
need to stay is running their own comp
and figuring out how to run a comp.
Other people have chimed in and said they
think like Micah or someone else needs to
take it over and I think
this even goes back to Bob and Joe.
I think they've been given the short end
of the stick.
I don't think,
and I know this is never going to
happen.
It's too far gone.
But if I was a, ran a comp,
I would just say, no, like, no,
I'm not going to run this for you
without significant help.
And Michael, if you're listening,
tell them, no,
you don't want it without like, if,
They have come in and stepped in and
seen the issues and they decide to take
it away from Bob and Joe.
The problem is it needs to be an
HQ event because somebody from HQ needs to
walk their butt over there and see how
shit is running.
And they need to have some buy-in into
this.
And you can't tell me that spending,
splitting them all up is the cheaper way
to do things.
If we're not with Wheelwod and the Teen
Pit,
and we end up with three different venues
over three different weekends,
you cannot tell me that that is cheaper.
You can't tell me that SAP Center was
rented out for the entire week.
I like, I don't care if they would,
we would have went even earlier and
started on Sunday and we would have added
two days on and started real wide on
Sunday and teen and teens went on Monday
and we went on Tuesday, Wednesday,
like splitting that cost is going to be
cheaper in a, in one venue.
Like there's just no way.
And without them bringing it back to
one big festival where all the all the
spectators can see anything they want to
see for one price it it's just gonna
fail it like it delegitimizes we are just
doing legends we're just doing legends
just doesn't exist anymore we're just
doing legends like we're not doing the
crossfit games we're doing legends there's
no support from hq
Yeah, I mean,
I just feel like I would like HQ
to take it over.
And I just think there's a disconnect
between everything that happened at the
convention center and then everything that
happened at the SAP center.
Like we do the opening ceremony and it
was great.
Awesome.
You know,
they acknowledge the past champions.
They acknowledge the winners of the first
seven events.
We have a bunch of masters on the
floor,
like not even anything about
congratulations to the masters that just
completed their events.
No videos of highlights of the masters or
the teenagers or the adaptive division
that were going on over the weekend.
Even some stuff that could have been
popping up on the SAP Center or
congratulations,
these were the champions over the weekend.
Like there was just no acknowledgment
when you're at the SAP center of anything
happening on the other side of the road
or whatever.
And I just feel like there's,
there's just a disconnect.
There are different workouts,
different people running it.
And I would just like to see it
more together.
CrossFit does not want anything to do with
it.
They want to clean their hands and let
other people take it on,
and they don't want to financially or
physically support them.
I know it sounds like we're always bashing
Joe and Bob, but it's not just them.
It's that, hey, run this competition,
but you can't have a qualifier to earn
any money to support it.
We're barely going to give you any money
from the open,
which your competitors put most of the
money into.
And good luck with everything.
But you can't do this, this,
and this because we have relationships
with companies.
I heard that other companies wanted to
sweeten the kits that athletes got,
and they were told no because of the
contract with Valites and CrossFit.
What contract?
We barely got anything.
Like, that's just silly.
But it was an overall contract.
That's what I'm saying.
There's these things, like,
dampering what Bob and Joe can do.
Yeah, like,
I'm sure there's so many things in the
background that we don't know that they're
so handcuffed into, like,
what they can do.
And this is the best that they got,
you know?
Yeah.
And, like, I am very, very grateful that,
like,
we are able to have a CrossFit Games
in the Masters Division.
And that's not, you know,
cancelled and it continues to happen.
And, yeah, I mean,
I like that I'm able to compete still
at this level.
But, yeah,
there definitely needs to be more support
coming elsewhere because it's just,
you know...
Like Bob and Joe,
I feel like are trying,
but they're just not getting the resources
needed to put on a CrossFit Games that
should be up to, you know,
a CrossFit Games standard.
I want to address a couple things here
real quick.
Larry says,
I'm certainly not anti-Bob and Joe,
but everything I've seen Micah can make it
work under less than optimal
circumstances.
Micah had an event that wasn't under the
contracts of the CrossFit Games.
And that's the one thing that you can't
see from the outside.
Because of the deals that CrossFit made to
get more money into the system,
which they're probably not sharing very
much of with the divisional athletes or
the divisional organizers,
you are even handcuffed more than Micah
running a semifinal event.
Shanna says,
if they don't want to support the Masters,
then why are we supporting the elites in
HQ with all of our money?
I think that's where it's headed.
I think it is that some third party
is going to say, hey,
we want the best athletes to come here.
We'll run our own qualifier,
get the best of the best to come
to this venue,
and we'll crown the fittest of each age
group here.
But it's going to take all of the
athletes to say, we're going here instead.
Can all of the masters collectively decide
to do that?
That's the part that's hard.
Sorry.
I wanted to pull this one off.
Andrew says Castro was there twice.
Andrew,
please let me know what other event he
was there for.
Because the only time I saw Castro was
at Arena Green Park for the run.
And that's probably because it was a
two-minute run.
I said hi to him inside.
At the McHenry Center?
Yes.
I don't know if it was,
I think it was the last day.
No, it wasn't the last day.
Yeah, Thursday.
Because Wednesday he was there.
I don't remember if it was,
I think it was after because he had
asked me how I did and I said
that I had won.
So I think he was just like in
the, you know,
in that little area by the warm-up area
that like some people were like about to
enter the floor.
That's where he was.
Okay.
But I don't think they're getting any
debrief.
Again, they just,
they truly don't care and they aren't
trying to,
they aren't trying to get any feedback and
make any changes.
Like they literally have washed their
hands with it and given it to Bob
and Joe.
And I think that's unfortunate for Bob and
Joe because they take so much heat.
But I also think there's some issues there
with not being able to like partner with
anybody.
I mean,
the fact that Pitt went off on their
own and then you can't coordinate with
Pitt with some of their equipment to share
equipment.
Like, here's the thing.
Like,
you have to pool resources when you're at
this level.
If we can't get sandbag toss type workout,
if we can't use anything that the elites
use,
then we need to at least be pairing
with the teens and trying to, I mean,
they have skiers out there.
They have other things like,
Think things through, share programming,
figure some things out so that things can
run smoother.
And you aren't using,
you aren't programming a med ball run
because you don't have enough sandbags.
Like if you can't create foster
relationships where you can get enough
equipment,
then be smarter about your programming.
You clearly didn't test that.
It's a completely different stimulus.
Nowhere,
like I would have done better with a
fifty pound feed sack on my back.
And I think several women would have
agreed and not had nerve issues because of
being like this for so long.
The thirty ball helped me out.
It slowed down the better runners.
Yeah, it did.
But that shouldn't be the intent of that
event.
Even though it did help you out.
All right.
I think we've beat the Masters up a
lot.
I still had a good time.
I still like the community.
I still really enjoyed hanging out with
the people there.
I don't want it to go away.
I just want the simple things fixed.
That's all.
So I know you guys stayed for the
weekend for the lead individuals.
any initial thoughts about um what you saw
for that them on the weekend do it
no you don't want me to talk go
jamie oh you give your thoughts um i
mean i enjoyed it um i love watching
the crossfit games i've gone every single
year except for i think
No different than other years.
I'm a fan of the sport.
I like watching what the athletes are
capable of doing with whatever test is
thrown at them.
We saw a lot of new movements this
year.
uh personally i wasn't like a huge fan
of the triple under workout i thought it
just came down to the triple unders um
i could i personally could care less if
someone can do a triple under or not
i don't think that's too much relevant in
their fitness um like the i i don't
mind the ghd one like with the wall
ball because at least everyone could do it
and it looked like it was super hard
on the arms um but then it didn't
matter because it all just come that came
down to the triple unders
I think if that was like a double
under workout or like a heavy rope double
under,
people could progress through that one a
little bit better.
The sandbag toss, I mean,
I'm like swinging in my seat the whole
time,
just going along with the bag that people
were getting ready to throw.
Sorry,
there's a family that just keeps yelling
in the background.
I think the format of that one could
have changed,
like all five athletes throw the first one
at the same time and then they come
up to their area and then maybe they
have a ten-second window to throw it.
Just to speed it up a little bit,
I thought that it was a little bit
slow to just get going.
The gymnastic ones,
people were better than I thought,
but I really didn't like watching the
backwards one when people would miss.
I thought it was scary to watch.
I didn't like watching people miss on
that.
I'll go before Jamie goes off on a
rant because I really enjoyed the games
this year.
I thought it was the best vibes and
the best games I've seen in a few
years since Madison,
the best games I've been to.
Could I nitpick a workout here, there?
Sure.
But of the twenty, I really enjoyed it.
And I thought it built momentum.
I thought the crowd was loud.
I would say it's probably the biggest
crowd we've had since Madison for sure and
maybe even bigger than that because the
arena was so big.
It's really hard to get a full realization
as to how many people were there.
But Sunday, the whole lower bowl was full.
And there was a smattering even up top.
So...
I really enjoyed it.
I thought the gymnastic thing was going to
be stupid,
and it was one of my favorite events
from the weekend.
The only time that the air came out
of the crowd was the sandbag toss.
And maybe if they did what Carolyn said
with changing up the way it was done,
maybe that doesn't happen.
But everybody was cheering and loud,
and when that sandbag toss came,
it just kind of...
But it's twenty events.
Every year there's events that I don't
like.
Every single year.
So you're going to have one or two
of those regardless.
It's twenty events.
It's the most ever.
You're going to have a couple that you
don't like.
I really, really loved it.
It was the most comfortable seat I've ever
been in at a CrossFit Games.
It was the nicest room by far.
The Jumbotron was awesome too.
Underneath the video that you could see
there.
It was just like Fort Worth,
but Fort Worth had its own issue.
But the seats were so comfortable.
I really, really enjoyed it.
And like competitor wise, I feel like,
you know,
we saw a few athletes really separate
themselves this weekend.
You know,
this field is the deepest that we had
seen both on the men and women's side,
I think ever at the games.
And even as the weekend went on,
like there was just levels to to the
athletes.
Amy was just a step above basically
everyone else.
Emma and Lucy were just a little bit
behind.
And then you got like these little packs
of athletes throughout.
And then the same thing happened with on
the men's side where you had four or
five athletes that were just better than
everyone else overall on the weekend.
I think that the two fittest athletes came
out on top.
I mean,
there's no denying with twenty events and
all the different things that were tested
that those two are certainly the fittest
right now.
Curious to see if Tia wants to come
back.
I'd love to see it happen.
I think that would motivate her to come
back.
But, yeah, so I thought the rookies,
Dylan looked awesome.
His experience just as a decathlete and as
a previous team games athlete, I think,
showed on the female side.
Who was the top?
It was Holly.
There was like three or four rookies just
back-to-back.
How about Eileen Wurst?
Eileen Wurst backfill into the games and
finished mid-back.
Yeah, she did awesome.
A bunch of the rookies did really well
there, like four of them.
They were just like, seventeen to like,
I don't know, seventeen, eighteen,
nineteen, maybe twenty or something, so.
Yeah, no, I enjoyed the games.
Yeah.
As a spectator, it was fine.
And it's just nice to catch up with
people too.
I like the vendor village.
The vendors,
there's not as much as what we used
to have in Madison.
Like in Madison, we had rows of vendors.
It would just go on and on.
What I like is you didn't need a
ticket to go into the vendor village this
year.
Technically, it was free.
right so people could come in shop there
was there was a big screen TV there
that you could see not as big as
Madison the beer garden but that area was
free to the public for them to shop
and things so I think that's a huge
improvement just to get people into the
free yet right outside the venue yeah not
like Fort Worth it was a block away
and separate here like two second walk out
of the door and into vendor village
And you had to,
you had to basically go through it, right.
To get to inside or am I wrong
thinking that.
I think you could have gone in from
like the front of the stadium.
I think you could have entered up there
and not gone through vendor village,
but yeah,
most people entered from the back.
And then I love, uh, Barack Obama, uh,
Boulevard being used.
I thought that, you know,
the sleds on there, the runs on there,
the handstand walk for the teams on there
look cool.
Um, yeah, like that outdoor.
part,
like they did what they could with the
road.
And I thought that was cool.
Yeah, food, food could have been improved.
I again,
and Andrew says that he doesn't know if
that was a limited by by the venue,
not wanting more food options out so that
people buy inside.
I mean,
thankful that stuff was open inside,
but yeah, it's just not always, I mean,
it's, you know,
chicken tenders and burgers and not
necessarily what we CrossFitters want.
I,
I felt like nauseous every day after being
over there, after competing, like, oh, um,
yeah, I don't know.
I, I feel like,
I think probably because I'm so salty with
how the masters went.
All I saw when I watched every event
was just like gross misuse of resources.
I literally was just like,
I get it's the twentieth year and you're
trying to make everything awesome.
But this is just like so over the
top that like completely unnecessary.
I do.
I have always appreciated how Dave tells a
story on the floor and it,
but like the amount of re-taping and
resetting.
And I'm like, Jesus, like we,
we can't get a damn thing.
And it's,
And you have fifteen hundred dollars for
the winner of many women of every single
all twenty events like you couldn't put
those.
None of those wanted to sponsor anything
for the Masters.
They didn't want to.
They didn't want to maybe sponsor fifteen
hundred for the event winner of the final
event of the.
I mean.
It's just like.
They already have all of the funds and
the resources and all of the sponsorship
money,
like do they also need fifteen hundred
dollars for a win?
I don't know.
I just well,
some of those people weren't going to get
any prize money at all because they were
in the bottom ten.
Hannah Black got a fifteen hundred
dollars.
She's not getting any more.
Right.
Like, yeah,
there's going to be a few of those,
but a few of them are like.
Do you need that?
I mean, besides the first few spots,
like for this being a lot of people's
only income, it's not that much.
Because I mean,
most of these athletes don't work.
So this is their only income slash
sponsorships,
which not everyone has money sponsorships.
I mean, and that's, I mean,
the eyes are on the elites anyways.
Like I get the money that's there versus
the masters.
Like that's where the eyes are.
But that's also like all the resources go
there.
It sucks, but like, I mean,
I kind of get it.
i mean i feel like that's hq just
like funneling money where they want it to
go but the re re but realistically the
pga tour has more eyes and more funding
than the champions tour right which is for
the older golfers that have are competing
in their own league it's just the way
of the world like
People are going to watch the PGA more
than they watch the champions.
I'm just saying,
if you want this to grow,
if you want people like Pat to maybe,
I mean, Pat,
we know Pat's not going to do it.
Like,
is Emily Rolfe even considering possibly
doing it?
Like,
do you want any of these people aging
up to consider coming over?
Like, you need to,
you need to promote the thirty five to
thirty nine as much as possible.
They need they need coverage.
think the fact of the matter is they
just don't care like the nfl pumps a
ton of money into the super bowl and
but they don't care what's happening in
college i mean you can say that about
every sport the money that gets pumped
into the world series or the that whatever
the championship is of that sport is where
all the money goes and they don't care
about the the other levels
But on the same coin,
on the other side of the coin,
I see what you're saying.
We're not football.
At least some support.
We're just a completely different sport.
Completely different.
The fact that you can't even compare it
to... But they're all championships.
And if it was just the Masters being
held,
you're not going to fill the lower bowl
of the SAP Center.
You're just not.
you have to be realistic about that too.
I mean,
it just doesn't help when you don't,
you don't cover them.
You don't promote them.
You barely say that the CrossFit games has
started.
Like they couldn't even figure out when
they were saying the CrossFit games is
starting.
Did it start with day one of the
masters or did it start with Wednesday at
the ranch?
I don't know.
We got mixed messages there.
I,
again, I love the masters community.
I love hanging out with them.
I love watching them,
but they're never going to get the eyes
or the viewership of the elites.
And so there are,
there's going to be way more money going
to the elites than there is to the
masters.
I think more people wanted eyes on the
Noah Scott, Travis race.
Then,
then you realize like people were asking
for like some behind the scenes stuff from
those guys and no one ever came over
and
Even on their down day,
they're more interested in check-in.
Those media guys are more focused on that,
even though people are asking for, like,
I wish you would have gone over there
for one day and done some
behind-the-scenes footage.
But you can't.
Legends doesn't let you.
You can't.
I've tried.
I did it in twenty twenty four.
Does HQ have a say?
Because now we just go back and forth
on who gets to say, is it?
I'm telling you,
I tried to do it last year in
Columbus and I was told no.
I did it in twenty twenty four.
I made a full behind the scenes
documentary of the whole damn thing,
which, to be fair,
eleven part documentary got hardly any
views.
Right.
So I put all that work in for
a weekend of a community that I loved
and I would do it again in a
heartbeat if I could,
but nobody watched it.
So like, but then in,
I tried to do the same thing and
I wasn't allowed because of their athlete
packages that they sell.
That's how they want to make money.
So they're not going to let someone go
in and do a behind the scenes.
So that's why I cannot side with you
on the funding thing,
because I put all that work in.
I had four people there with me to
get as much behind-the-scenes footage as I
could,
and some of the episodes got a hundred
and twenty views.
Nobody's going to sponsor that.
Yeah, I mean,
I'm not saying it needs to be the
full, like, that long of a thing, like,
short
little check-ins with literally like the
top three men and three women.
Last year I did seven,
seven minute interviews with people and
none of them got more than four hundred
views.
I did a,
I made a compilation of like, what,
what is your why?
The CrossFit HQ actually commended and it
got eight hundred views.
Like the masters want to complain that
nobody watches it.
You're a big community.
Why aren't you watching this stuff?
Well,
I feel like people wanted to watch it.
They couldn't watch.
I mean,
I know I had people at home wanting
to watch my people watch yourself.
They couldn't watch on flow.
Like they were like,
I couldn't follow anything that you were.
I mean,
that was my own performance wasn't wasn't
on.
But like even Carolyn wasn't on a ton.
The men are being shown.
So like if you have people paying thirty
dollars and then not even be able to
watch what they want to watch, like, yeah,
you're going to lose viewership.
that's this year it hasn't been that way
in the past and like are you able
scott to like give the footage when you
do these that behind the scenes give it
to crossfit and say hey this is the
footage that i got are you able to
do it because they have million you know
people so total transparency i've never
said this out loud when i did the
what is your why video at at the
games last year
I talked to Jenna,
how she said that they were going to
do something with it.
I send it over to her and nothing
ever got done.
That's sad.
So, and that's like,
I know a lot of behind the scenes
stuff that I cannot share on the air
that impacts the way I think about a
lot of this stuff.
But my love for this community still
exists and I want to support them any
way I can.
But I put those episodes out in twenty
twenty four.
Nobody shared them.
Any Masters athlete could have shared it
with their family because I'll bet you
ninety percent of the Masters athletes
appeared in that documentary.
If you could speak English and you could
understand me when I asked you a question,
you probably got put in that documentary.
Legends didn't share a single damn episode
and I sent them every one.
CrossFit never shared a single one of
them.
And the athletes very rarely shared
anything.
Some did.
I don't want to say none of them
did, but very few did.
If the,
if the masters want to be seen,
they've got to make them,
they've got to help them.
Help me help you.
Help me help you.
As Cuba Gooding said to Tom Cruise or
the other way around.
And Jerry Maguire.
I think it's going to change some too,
Larry.
How's it going to change if nobody helps
out?
I think, like I said,
the diehard fans are getting older.
And especially if you can entice some of
these athletes to go into that.
Imagine if, if,
imagine if Ariel goes into that group,
but she's not,
cause there's no money making there.
Her priorities are going to be family and
not that maybe.
I wish they do this too, Wayne.
I think that is an easy thing.
And the fact that they don't just do
this is ridiculous.
It would take very little effort to hire
a Jonathan Ortega to make some highlight
reels to show at the games.
All you need is one cameraman and a
computer.
They never acknowledged a single thing all
weekend long of the Masters at SAP Center
on the Jumbotron or of the teenage and
adaptive divisions that were going on that
weekend.
Like, hey, if you guys want to, like,
just a little highlight video,
even if it was of the previous year
and be like,
these athletes are competing here down the
road or some sort of promotion of the
other divisions going on.
Like, there was nothing.
it was probably the quickest turnaround
from event to event at the games but
there were still in between events to show
something on the jumbotron about what was
going on down the street especially when
like we like they try to market all
the time that like crossfit is for
everyone and you know we use masters
athletes that like as you age like look
what you can still do and like
What better promotion than at the Masters
CrossFit Games where the teenagers are
adaptive to just show what all of
different types of bodies can do in age
groups and stuff like that.
And just a miss there.
And like I said, even on the Thursday,
on the opening ceremony day,
when we all just got done competing,
like...
again that was a missed opportunity to at
least acknowledge the completion of the
competition for the masters and maybe just
congratulate it could have been just a
little screen not even a video
congratulate the the winners of each age
group and say thank you to everyone for
showing up and hope to see everyone stick
around for for the rest of the weekend
whether it's here at the sap center or
down the road supporting our adaptive
athletes and the teenage that are still
going on
Like it would have been so easy just
to finish up a little bit of the
ceremony because the ceremony was good.
Just missing a little bit.
Even if it would have just been a
list of the champions from the week.
Something, something to acknowledge it.
Um,
I don't even know where I was going
with anything anymore.
I did want to talk about Damian James.
Two, I think,
really good representatives for champions
for it all.
I thought the battle between James and
Dallin was so fun to watch.
Not only do they have the same coach,
are they best friends?
and they're both really fit going after
each other,
it added so much drama to that storyline.
And one has won, and one wants one,
and how is that going to play out?
And I picked James to win before the
games,
but I wanted Allen to win by Sunday.
I wanted it so bad because of the
way it was playing out.
I think a lot of people did.
then it's like never gallon could beat
james he just wasn't getting anyone to
middle that exactly right like they're
just it was like okay dallent boom james
was like right there like he just wasn't
getting the help to just middle because
like there was just levels and they were
just you know separating themselves at the
top um yeah i originally like i had
I think in my picks that I did
for the spin stuff,
I think I had Ricky winning and then,
and then James, but on the woman's side,
I did pick Amy.
So I was happy that I got my,
my pick there,
but Amy just looked like a beast this
weekend.
So we didn't have an injury report.
I know.
Exactly.
Um,
I picked page two because I didn't have
an injury report.
Um,
What Amy did this weekend was, I was,
today on the lunch show,
everybody was arguing with me that it
wasn't as impressive as things that Tia
had done.
And my argument is, my argument is,
the top three women were two hundred
points above the rest of the field.
And Amy won by a hundred and twenty.
It was Tia-like.
She looked like a Tia-like athlete out
there.
And my question to them was,
tell me where Amy had a weakness where
Tia could attack.
Unlike Laura,
she doesn't have strict handstand push-up
deficit hole, right?
Where Tia could make up a ton of
points.
whether tia beats amy or not in a
head-to-head battle it would be an epic
close race in my opinion because amy
showed she twenty events show me one place
where she struggled this weekend i think
her back squat was maybe her worst event
and like that was it like everything else
was just top tens all around um i'm
trying to think of another event like
we're like oh maybe she'll trip up on
these triple unders or these she did the
first two sets unbroken and then she was
just like nope she's good there too and
you're like damn like she's she was just
head above everyone else i don't know if
you saw the the video hillar put out
the hillar curse is over by the way
um
he he the footage he did with so
he did like a behind the scenes with
ella anole and amy a couple weeks ago
he had a bunch of footage that he
did not release and today he released an
amy kringle video with all of like the
lost pieces of it but that backward roll
to support three weeks ago she couldn't
get one
And then he showed her at the games
doing them as a clip.
It is freaking,
Hiller knocked it out of the park.
It was so good.
Maybe that's why he waited to post the
video.
Because he asks her four times,
different times,
do you think you can win the games?
I don't.
I wonder when, like,
if when Hiller goes to these places and
he, you know, observes the athletes,
I wonder, like,
if he looked at Amy and could predict
that, like, this girl's good,
like she could she can win the games.
Like,
I'm sure I'm sure when he travels to
these athletes places,
like he can maybe see some of their
holes or weaknesses.
But I just wonder, like,
if he saw her being the champion when
he was there, like a few weeks ago.
To be fair,
and Carolyn and I both talked about this,
ultimately I think I'm happy James won
because I do want Dillon to win,
but I also want Dillon to become a
better runner.
I think our CrossFit champion needs to be
a good runner.
I mean, with Amy...
she won the run, the long run.
And then she also won the sprint.
Like it didn't matter.
Like Dale and Dillon,
you would almost think it'd be one or
the other, like,
but Dalen did not great at the run.
And then I think did even worse at
the sprint, which is weird.
Like,
cause like Gazan did bad at the run,
but what top four in the sprint,
like she's able to sprint.
So you would think Dalen would at least
be able to sprint and would have been
maybe top ten, twelve in that, but no.
I would like to see him ankle sprain
on the original run as well,
like at the ranch that he was dealing
with all weekend.
So I'm wondering if that also impacted the
sprint.
I forget who all sort of injured
themselves.
But I do agree.
Like, I feel like, you know,
when we talk about our champions,
you know,
I would want them to go up against
other, you know,
sport athletes and for them to still hold
their own or like in terms of like
running and stuff like that.
I do feel like running is such an
important thing.
Like you have to be able to run
fast and fast for a long period of
time, like long.
And I think James has both and Amy
has both.
When Amy turned on the jets on the
last part of that five hundred,
has any athlete looked that athletic at
the games?
No, she looks like a transformer.
She is unreal.
She isn't that good.
No.
Like, she looked picturesque in that run.
Like, looked like she belonged on a track.
I think that's her background,
is track and field.
Yeah, she did the hurdles, I guess,
is what they said on the broadcast.
I love that too.
Kind of a difference.
Barack Obama Boulevard was so much fun.
I love that they went outside for a
couple events.
It just made it feel like the games.
I took a break and went over to
the park across the street where
activations were going on and watching the
people work out and running through the
park was so cool.
Like it was even different.
It was even better than Madison's
activations because I felt like Madison's
were kind of in the barn or this
was like out in public in a park.
I agree with that.
People doing CrossFit.
It was really freaking cool.
They got to do the two thousand seven
hopper.
Yeah.
Like the NorCal people were running that
one.
As I was walking back towards my car
one of the days,
some people like that are just like not
CrossFitters that are just walking.
They thought the spectators were the
athletes from the CrossFit Games a lot of
times just because, you know,
those were the ones doing everything.
And they're like, oh,
did their event just finish?
And then they're like pointing to the
workout area.
I was like, yes,
but the elite athletes are inside right
now.
So I had to explain to people that
those athletes,
because we stayed and watched them,
like the spectators.
Yeah, that's awesome.
They thought that those were the CrossFit
Games athletes, so I just laughed.
I was like, no,
but I'm sure they're fit still.
And the last thing I'm going to say
about the Games,
one of my highlights was seeing Matt
involved.
That was really cool that it seemed like
he had let bygones be bygones,
and he looked like he was really enjoying
himself for all the festivities.
I agree.
So I really enjoyed that as much.
Plus,
seeing James Fitzgerald and Julie Gentry
was really cool.
I really enjoyed that.
And the hopper, the workout there.
And it's funny because when they had the
three athletes, Jason, Matt, and Tia,
and it was going to be like,
who was going to get the,
Dave was like, oh, we're going to,
the fans are going to pick,
but you're not going to know.
You could tell Tia wanted to win that
so bad.
Like I just looked at her facial
expression and she's so competitive.
Like she wanted to win no matter what.
And her workout was good.
It was,
that was a good workout that she came
up with on event.
I think it's event well, it's good.
yeah um again i really had a good
time um there was people were asking if
they were going to go back to san
jose next year because of the vibes
million dollar renovation is happening to
the sap center so it's not even an
option i really do not ever want to
go back to california like i don't i
i don't think i would go spectate i
love the weather i loved every bit of
the weather
Um, I, I loved the,
I really enjoyed it.
I, I don't, I didn't think I would.
It was only my second time in California.
I had a blast.
I loved Barack Obama being used.
I love the vendor village being right
beside the arena.
I love the park across the street.
I,
it took me a little bit closer to
the festival vibe I was looking for.
Am I just down the street?
There was like that one market that had
like all those things to eat.
Did you go to that one?
I didn't but Whole Foods was a block
away.
There's like a market that had like a
bunch of bunch of food.
Yeah, just like music playing.
I thought it was a good, good location.
Just very expensive.
California is very expensive.
My bank account took a hit pretty hard
this week.
Just know that Jenny has already clipped
something from this show.
I'm anxious to see what it is.
Probably hot-headed Jamie again.
We've already been clipped?
We've already been clipped.
I just got the notice.
Oh, no.
Did I get tagged?
I don't know.
I just came over my phone.
I'm in it.
I got tagged, so we'll see.
So, all right.
Well, since it's late tonight,
this is later than we normally go.
I didn't like the yelling homeless people.
I didn't run into any of those.
I did not enjoy that there was Comic-Con
or whatever.
I have no idea what was going on,
but it was in the convention center,
and it was so overwhelming.
You probably didn't notice, Carolyn,
but it was because it started on Friday,
right?
It started Thursday night.
They were shuffling in as you guys were
finishing.
And then because of that,
so I'm thankful that we didn't stay in
our hotel any longer because we stayed in
that hotel and walked like through the
glass doors to get to the convention that
was connected.
But because that convention was going on,
they locked those glass doors so you could
no longer go from the hotel to
into the convention.
You had to go outside,
walk around the block and get in the
front of the convention center because of
that.
And it was just like overwhelming with the
amount of people,
like you couldn't even cross the street
that it was, you couldn't,
couldn't get in line for anything.
It was, it was just crazy.
I did not enjoy that.
And I,
I think that took away from the teens
and the adaptive.
It was weird.
Well, my hotel,
every breakfast in the morning I went down
and half of the breakfast was anime,
cosplay people,
and the other half were CrossFitters.
So either you were jacked or you were
dressed up as a comic book character.
Yeah.
It was wild.
I do have to say that was a
wild experience.
But I took... It's so funny.
The people in the breakfast recognized me
And I was taking selfies in the breakfast
area all week, which was wild, too,
because I did not expect that.
I did not expect that at all.
One of my highlights, too,
before we go is that Noah and Carolyn
got a picture together.
I thought that was really cool.
anyone has pictures of the weekend please
send them to me i have that's the
only picture i think i have from the
whole weekend and the podium i have a
ton i have a ton of pictures i'm
still trying to get downloaded after i get
some sleep but i have pictures of both
of you that i will send to you
i did i did like that picture with
noah though yeah it was really cool yeah
Oh, yeah.
I don't know if you guys heard,
but the spin was live and John was
in the lobby and police had to come
in because someone had crashed into the
lobby while they were live on the air.
What?
Like a person came in like all mad
and police had to come.
And at the same time,
the Young's DoorDash showed up.
Like you can't even make that up.
Oh, boy.
