I think if you guys want to tell them, we're actually going to see what actually makes the perfect car for each of our personalities. Horsepower, you can talk about lap times. What actually matters there in this, right? And let's, let's just go down the list.

This is gonna be fun. This is gonna be a very interesting exercise. We're gonna go back and forth. We're gonna pick out certain elements about our perfect cars. And at the very end, we're all gonna compile all this information, put it into AI, and let it tell us what car we should get.

Let's do it man. So let's start off with I think what we're looking at. Do you want a four door? Do you want a coupe? Do you want a truck? An SUV? ⁓ What do you want man? What's the first thing you're going for? Or does room matter and do you want to start the skeleton?

For me, so I love sedans, love hatchbacks, but I for this exercise I want to go with a coupe. I want a two-door car for this one. ⁓ part of it is the function of the car. So for me, this is going to be your weekend warrior, your every now and then track day sort of car. I don't need a daily driver. I don't need space. This is going to be the fun car. So what about you?

Well, before we jump to me, what are you thinking power wise? What's the function of this car for you?

⁓ man, let's see. Power wise, I think the function is just to spend some time, man. I want to be able to be at the light. Some kid pulls up beside me and I just stomp him in the middle of the ground, know, blasting to T.I. and jam into it like we used to.

probably in the range of ⁓ the three hundred ish horsepower being more is better but i'd say route three hundred is probably my minimum at least so that all three hundred

I like the lightweight aspect. Nowadays, everything's getting heavier and heavier. And you add the fact in because it's safety-related features. we're not even talking about hybrids or EVs, but those guys are massive, like 4,000 pound cars. I think just having that lighter weight makes it a little more nimble, a little more fun. You can honestly keep the power down and still have fun, but obviously with your 600 horsepower

I think pulling in a ⁓ Brake and just being able to turn a car is nothing like dropping a gear high rev. There's nothing better feeling than that to me It's just the best way I want to do it

Rear wheel drive only. I like that. I like that. That's the way to do it. So let me ask you this. You're taking your coupe out for a spin. What's your priorities? Are they on handling, precision, power, acceleration, interior, luxury?

I think for me it's going to be precision handling. We all love power, right? We all love the sensation of going fast, making loud noises. But from my was a Miata guy. I had an S2000. I had a GR86. I had similar cars. And that's what I like. So I'm interested to see what cars they recommend. And it might be the same cars I just listed off, but.
I like that lightweight, I like that nimble, ability.

Gotcha, gotcha. think I just grew up driving different things, right? So I drove, you know, of course the Honda Accord, I've driven the Civics, I had an F-150, I had a Tacoma, you I've had all the other things. So like I said earlier, but like, so for me, it's like, I think...
I want a little bit of mix. I want that precision in handling, right? ⁓ But I do want something that is power acceleration. I don't care about attention. I don't care if it looks bad, but if it feels good when I drive it, that's all I really care about. I don't care about luxury. I could put a VHS tape with a wire on it and connect it to my phone and just blast crap.

Yeah man, there's nothing like, I want my control to be, the only thing I need control on is my steering and of course my three pedals and my switch man, that's it. yeah. So okay, I got that going for you. So you're handling precision, we got that going. So okay, we talked about transmission, we talked about weight, we talked about drivetrain, we talked about your priorities.
right, they're gonna be in. What other things, because I'm locking in a couple cars right now that I'm thinking about already. So what other things are important to you when you're building this dream car? When chat's building us these dream cars, I guess you'd say.

So from a suspension standpoint, I really like the ability to tune and adjust my suspension, know, fine tune and adjust it. you be nice to have double wishbone suspension all around. think modern cars don't really do that. There's a lot of multi-link suspensions, which provides a lot of adjustability, but it is more complex system.
i don't know if chats gonna be smart enough to know this but i think between you and me be both like our cars to be reliable but correct to the point where you know if it's too reliable or not gonna have fun wrenching on that never gonna break

if you can't adjust it. I don't mind an independent suspension. I think that's my choice. If you're just a double wishbone, I'm okay with double link or independent. ⁓ I think that just gives everything what I need except for, know, of course we're gonna make all of our adjustments to the rear axle and move everything right there, but I'll add that double wishbone for you as we're building that car. All right, what kind of tech do you want in it?

I don't know if I really need tech. Now, that's gonna cut out a lot of cars and this is why this exercise is gonna be so interesting. But, you know, the visceral feel of just having to control everything yourself and whatever mistake you make, that's on you.

All cars nowadays come with ABS, come with traction control, stability control, all of that. We turn it all ideally it wouldn't be there in the first place, right?

Well, so you said you're a weekend warrior, right? So this is going to be like that track type. you're not always going to be like calm, collected, always efficient with it, right? You're going to be occasionally wild. Exactly. It's like trying to put it in a kitten's cage. It's basically what you're trying to do.

that's the point. It's supposed to be a fun car. If this was a daily driver, a comfortable car that I could go to work with every single day, the priorities will be different. But for what we're talking about right now, I don't need any of that stuff.

See, for me, dude, chaos is a feature. I got to have. So the only thing I ever needed in the car. Right. Just tell me what speed I'm going. Tell me what RPM I'm at. Tell me if my cars are reading. the thinnest thing, but that's the only tech I need. I don't need any electronic stability control. I don't need any of that. These are things that are nice, but we're building these weekend warrior cars. And honestly, if I have my independent suspension, if I have my BC coilover kit, I'm going to add that on there. BC kit, if I want my suspension because I want something fully adjustable, I'll spend the money on their full kits.
and I'll make sure to get something that I can drive to go get some food and then maybe on the way back take the long way home, meaning the back road so I can do some twisties and turkeys, you know what Yeah, for sure. That's kind of what it's for, you know? So that would be exactly what I'm looking at with, for sure.

It doesn't always, I've seen V8s at 3, right? 3 something, 320, 312, 315, like I've seen ones at 400. Yeah, so I mean, you want a hatchback V8, rear all wheel drive, rear or all wheel drive manual, want luxury leather seats, want carplay, green color from the factory, stock suspension, and you want around 400 horsepower.

You got a 2023 to 2026 BMW M2 with a 3.0 twin turbo inline 6. All right. It's 450 to 470 horsepower. Of course, you're seeing the CS version, the track, the variance. It's rear wheel drive. It's a six speed manual or eight speed DCT. Exactly like you were asking. It's about 3,400 pounds. So it's in the range. It's not very light, but it's a balanced vehicle.
The chassis is the adaptive suspension, so it's got double wishbone. I think actually it's fully adaptive. I'm not sure if it doesn't bring up the double wishbone. But why it fits you is it's the manual, powerful M96, it's the driver-centric feel. It's not a full double wishbone, excuse me. ⁓ They use multi-link, so it's a little bit in the future. vehicles that I like. But it's funny that I see you in all three of these vehicles and I see you just grinning ear to ear on a track day just doing exactly what you do all the time. It's the same thing. It's a one, it's a very fast truck. Many like fast, fast trucks out there. For me personally, I like a smaller mid-sized truck. I'm not a big guy, as you can tell. I have no need for a big truck. just having something on the more compact size. Now I'm not going to go for a Maverick, but you know, like a Tacoma or a Ranger, those are good sizes for me. ⁓ But yeah, it kind of bridges the gap between an actual truck
