From Feature Story News in New Delhi, I'm Neha Poonia. A day after police teams in India pushed back tens of thousands of protesters using force, there's significant anger on the ground. Police teams were seen firing tear gas shells and using sticks to push back protesters that were heading towards Parliament and heading back towards the main protest site in New Delhi. Abhijit Dipak, the founder of the Cockroach Janata Party, has apologized to supporters for the police action, saying we should have done better to protect you. The movement says it will continue to demonstrate. Ishan Garg has more.

Youth protesters in India who have been calling for removal of India's Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan say that their demonstration and their protest is still not over. That's despite security officials dispersing large parts of the crowd who took to the streets of New Delhi on Monday, removing many protesters, and also dismantling large parts of the stage where the protest was being held for the past 3 weeks. They say that their first priority right now is to tend to many of the protesters and students who they say were injured by police heavy-handedness. Visuals circulating on social media showed security officials caning many protesters and also using tear gas shells to disperse the crowds. The police in New Delhi say that they have given their officials strict instructions to peacefully deal with the protesters and that they have not used force.

The US has launched fresh strikes on Iran as the attacks have entered their 11th day. The United States Central Command says American forces were aiming to degrade capabilities Tehran has used to threaten shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Jagruti Dave has more on the renewed hostilities. At least with Iranian officials going to Pakistan for talks, there is still some hope that diplomacy can be re-actioned. But we know that the June deal has fallen through. We know that both sides have escalated, widening their targets, targeting civilian infrastructure. We've seen the price of Brent crude shooting up And we've seen US gas prices on average $4 a gallon, which is clearly going to be sending alarm bells across the country, at least amongst the Republican Party, who are going to have to justify the continued war on Iran with the voters as they head to the campaigning for November's midterm elections. New British Prime Minister Andy Burnham has named former Defence Secretary John Healey as his surprise Chancellor of the Exchequer. Burnham was officially appointed by King Charles on Monday, succeeding Sir Keir Starmer. Simon Marks has more.

So Mr. Burnham arrives in power, Mr. Affability, but he doesn't have a mandate. And the question here tonight is, how soon might he call an election? He would be, I think, ill-advised to do it right now, because if an election were held right now, scores of those Labour members of Parliament that are relying on him would lose their seats to candidates from the hard-right Reform UK party.

So I think it seems really fitting now that one of the great directors of our time has taken it on and created that experience for an audience in 2026. Okay, so there you go. 15 minutes past the top of the hour as you and I are hanging out doing all the fun stuff that we get to do. So let's get into it right away because we need to do this. Authorities say that a 43-year-old former U.S. Army soldier and National Guardsman is in custody after allegedly setting off an incendiary device outside of 26 Federal Plaza in Manhattan in what officials are calling an apparent anti-ICE attack. Investigation investigators say that the suspect used fireworks and what is believed to be gasoline to start the fire outside of the entrance of the federal building, which houses immigration offices and federal courtrooms. Federal Protective Service officers quickly tackled and detained the man, recovering a bag that reportedly contained 2 pellet guns and a manifesto. The suspect was also pulling cart with an anti-ICE message. Uh, in addition to the fireworks, 4 civilians suffered minor injuries, with, uh, one taken to the hospital. The FBI's New York Joint Terrorism Task Force is leading the investigation. FBI officials talk about the incident. Take a listen.

Today, just before 9 AM, a man by the name of Andrew Arrebaca, A-R-R-A-B-A-C-A, B-A-C-A. Arrived at 26 Federal Plaza, just behind us on Worth Street, at the employee entrance to the building, where he ignited gasoline. He poured gasoline onto the ground and ignited it with a lighter and an incendiary device. That device was a firework, a large firework in a canister that proceeded to catch on fire pretty big flame, as you've seen on the internet. He then pulled out an airsoft rifle and fired 5 to 7 pellets, if you will, in the direction of 26 Federal Plaza. At that time, Federal Protective Services, 2 officers, a gray suit, a contractor with Allied that is employed to guard this building, and those 3 people and the 2 officers standing behind me in the blue shirts are the officers that intervened and took Mr. Arabaka into custody. He is currently in custody and he has been interviewed. Arabaka is a former United States Army soldier. He was enlisted for approximately 4 years, serving from 2001 to 2005. He was a repairman or mechanic on Patriot missile systems. He is 43 years old. Mr. Arabaka was looking to injure people and harm people. He had 2 axes, a hammer, a machete, and 3 knives, fixed blade knives.

Okay, so what the hell is going on there? That's, uh, the first portion. And then the next portion is, really? This is what you thought you were gonna use to take out people? I mean, I don't know, kind of crazy. Let's just be realistic. Um, the other portion there, did you watch Rambo too many times? Not picking on the movie, of course. Um, but man, there's a lot of thoughts there, um, in regards of what you thought you were going to pull off. It's kind of a, kind of a crazy one when you really start thinking about it. Let's continue talking about some other things that are going on. President Trump announced a new 50% tariff on selected Canadian imports, including such as wine, hockey sticks, and cement, where the new duties are said to take effect in 30 days. The administration says that the move is aimed to counter what is called Canada's ongoing discrimination against American goods while exempting energy products, fish, and critical minerals. Administration officials stressed the tariffs are intended as a defensive trade measure, not a full-scale trade war, as they are still open to negotiations with Canada. The announcement came as a surprise because President Trump did not discuss the new tariffs during one-on-one conversation with Canadian Prime Minister at Sunday's FIFA World Cup. The move is the latest escalation in a year-long trade dispute between the 2 countries. Officials also said that President Trump is still considering separate options related to recent Canadian wildfire smokes that drifted into the U.S., including the possibility of additional tariffs. Canada and the U.S. have already exchanged multiple rounds of tariffs on products ranging from steel, lumber, and Automobiles and alcohol. So 50% tariffs on wine, hockey sticks, and cement. I really think this is the time for us to start talking about Hemp Creek. If you don't know what it is, probably look it up because I've heard about the cement thing quite often in regards of raising the prices to it and the cost overall. And I really think that if we start using a product called Hemp Creek, which is Essentially a version of concrete made out of hemp. You might go different places there. Might want to take a look at that one as we are talking. Okay, so let's go, um, out of left field here for a moment. Darlene Graham, the sister of the late Senator Lindsey Graham, has officially announced that she'll run for a full 6-year U.S. Senate term in South Carolina. Speaking with Fox News, Graham said that she made the decision after praying, talking with her family, already receiving support from her brother, former staff She said that Lindsey's dedication to serving the people inspired her and that she feels at inner peace about entering the race, even though she knows it won't be easy. Darlene Easley recently appointed South Carolina's Governor Henry McMaster to complete the remainder of her brother's Senate term after his death. Her announcement comes shortly after President Trump endorsed her bid for a full term. She'll compete with a special Republican Party primary on August 11th, with the winner advancing to the November election for the 6-year seat. So there you go, 6 years. So there you go, a lot of information there coming out, um, as we are talking. I got a question for you. Do you remember last week talking about, uh, Yellowstone and the guy that got, uh, essentially rammed by the bison? Let's talk through this. A walk through Yellowstone National Park turned into a painful one for one visitor after a bison charged and tossed him into the air. Carl McDaniel, uh, had, uh, stopped to take a photo with his grandson and was walking away from the bison. Suddenly targeted him, chased him around a tree, and launched him several feet. He suffered multiple broken bones near his, uh, hip, but says that he is thankful the animal didn't continue to attack. Wildfire— wildlife experts believe that the bison's aggressive behavior was linked to its annual mating season known as the right when bulls are especially territorial and unpredictable. Officials say that McDaniel appears to have done everything right, and also the bison will not be euthanized or relocated. Park experts are reminding visitors that even calm-looking bison can become dangerous in an instant, especially during mating season. Give them plenty of space. We saw the bison and he was down. He wasn't showing aggression or anything like that. Like that until it picked a target. That target happened to be me. They moved faster than you could ever imagine. He just kept coming and he was more aggressive, and as soon as he got off that tree, he launched me in the air. I didn't get bruises from him launching me in the air. It was the landing that became the problem.

Really? Really? Really? This is what you just said? It wasn't, uh, that he launched me in the air and that's where the bruises came from. It's from the landing. That's like saying I'm not afraid of heights I'm afraid of falling. Well, no shit. But I mean, I, I guess I appreciate that. Um, appreciate the, the way that he's taking a look at the whole thing when it's all said and done. But there you go. A lot of stuff going on right there. Stay and listen to this. Millions on the Gulf Coast residents are preparing for a Tropical Storm Bertha, uh, straightens through the— into the Gulf of Mexico and moves towards Louisiana. The storm developed from Tropical Depression 2 after sustained winds topped of 39 miles per hour, making it the second named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season. Forecasters expect Bertha to make landfall near New Orleans area by tomorrow, bringing heavy rain, strong winds, or 50 miles per hour or more dangerous surf, and the, the threat of flashing— flash floods. Some areas will receive up to 8 inches of rain, while others as high as 16 feet.

Uh, possible alongside the Gulf Coast. Tropical storm warnings have been issued for much of Florida's coastline, and residents from Texas and Florida Panhandle are being urged to prepare for hazardous weather. Meteorologists warn that the, um, even, uh, the relatively weak tropical storms can produce life-threatening flooding and dangerous conditions on land and at sea. So there you go. What do you think? No, like seriously, what do you think? Interesting stuff for sure. As we are talking, I don't know, I always kind of take a look at some of this weather stuff, find it always super interesting, um, as we are moving forward. So what is your thought process when it comes to that stuff? I mean, I don't know, depending on where you live, of course, in the country, some of these weather stuff when it comes to like these kind of things have no impact whatsoever. But then you kind of get the, um, the other weird stuff, the, uh, the monsoons, the tornadoes, all that fun stuff. Yeah, I think I'll, I'll avoid that, uh, when it's all said and done. So just keep that in mind as we are talking. So let's continue talking about some other things because hey, that is a, one of these things that we do here. If not, we would have the quiet show and that would become extremely strange.

As we are going through the whole thing. So let's talk about some of the odd ones. Take a listen to this real quick. Um, an Idaho man has reclaimed one of his many Guinness World Records by balancing 195 rolls of toilet paper on his head for 30 seconds. How do you even discover that you can do this? David Rush, who holds concurrent Guinness World Records, um, more than anyone else is what it sounds like, first set the record in 2021 for 101 rolls. After someone else broke it with 152, Rush came back and topped them both with the biggest challenge wasn't the weight, it was, uh, staying calm because even a small wobble would send the entire thing crashing down. Now I just wonder, like, do you sit inside of the bathroom one day and go, give me that roll of toilet paper over there, I want to balance it on my head? I mean, I just don't understand how these things even occur. I mean, if this is something you discovered that, uh, you could do, great for you, but that's kind of a weird thing. Okay, so take a listen to this one because Hey, we talk a little bit about everything, and sometimes I get into some of the level of weird, but let's do this. A self-proclaimed time traveler is calling himself Adam Akran, is making the rounds online again after a 2019 interview resurfaced where Adam claims that he's from the, from the year 2045, says several major events will happen in the next few years, including public confirmation of extraterrestrials in 2028. Time travel becoming available to everyone, and cash disappearing in favor of implanted payment chips. He also predicts that the US will cease to exist as an independent nation by 2030 and become part of a global AI-run government. Looking even farther ahead, he claims that scientists will clone dinosaurs by 2045, creating a real-life Jurassic Park. And the interview originally posted by Apex TV featured a lie detector test that that the channel claimed he had passed. However, skeptics point out inconsistencies, including apparent editing in the video and several predictions that already failed to come true, most notably not to mention of COVID-19 pandemic and the forecasts of 2020 that never happened. There is no evidence of the man time traveler, uh, but neither time travel nor extraterrestrial contact has been verified by scientific evidence or the U.S. government. So what do you think? I'm just saying, just saying. We, like I said, we talk about all kinds of stuff here. And you know also that if, uh, this was one of these things that we didn't talk about today, guess where it would show up? It would show up on the Friday show.

Because we call that Freeform Friday. And of course we talk about everything that we don't get to, uh, earlier in the week. I know it gets a little bit weird, but we talk about that. Uh, so there you go. So today you listen to this because fast food chains are trying to make sure that they're getting into you inside of their restaurants. And then from that particular point, that once you get there, that they keep you and you continue to come back. But Burger King is rolling out a new customer-first policy that picky eaters are sure to, uh, to appreciate. Under a new Whopper Guarantee, if your burger isn't made the way that you ordered it, doesn't meet your expectations, the restaurant will remake it on the spot and even give you a coupon for a free Whopper on your next visit. The chain is also introducing a new in-store role called Your Way Champion, a manager responsible for making sure your orders are prepared correctly and resolving customer issues quickly. The changes come after Burger King collected thousands of customer comments as part of a feedback campaign earlier this year. The company says that it's focused on improving quality and service as it tries to win over diners in an increasingly competitive fast food market. So I don't know, when was the last time that you went to Burger King? I'm just asking because I want to make sure that I understand that. Not a bad thing, but it's just interesting how it works. So let's continue with this real quick. Um, this is not going to help, but I'm going to say this anyways. A doctor with a large social media following criticized Burger Chicken King's menu, claiming that some of the most popular items contain, uh, far more ingredients than most consumers realize. Some of which are— sound silly putty, uh, are found in silly putty, better saying. Dr. Paul Saldino says the Whopper contains about 85 ingredients, with a Royal Spicy Chicken Sandwich reportedly has more than 120 ingredients, including preservatives, seed oils, and additives that say that it may be more harmful to your health. Saladino pointed that the ingredients are restricted in some countries and criticized the use of certain food additives and processing agents. While, um, the chain wasn't, uh, ranked among the least healthy fast food restaurants in one survey, the video has sparked plenty of debate online over what, uh, really is fast food. So there you go. So let me ask you a strange question here because it becomes, um, increasingly interesting to me. Why is it that some countries will not allow certain things or certain items to be considered food, but here in the U.S. we're able to do so? I'm just asking. An Orlando restaurant is looking for a family of 7 accused of pulling off a $300 dine-and-dash during a Sunday lunch rush. According to the diner, surveillance video shows a group enjoying a large meal before leaving in stages to avoid attracting attention. The footage allegedly shows that one man leaving first, followed by others, while one woman stayed behind briefly to make it appear that someone was still planning to pay. She eventually rushed out the door and joined the rest rest of the family waiting in the vehicle. The restaurant says the employee didn't realize what had happened until everyone was gone. It shared the video on social media, warning other local restaurants to be on the lookout. The post has gone viral, with many people urging police involvement and criticizing adults for allegedly involving children in the scheme. It is unclear whether the police report has been filed. So there you go. So, so dining and dashing type of thing. Somebody was telling me— I was actually having a conversation at a restaurant recently Where it is frowned upon if this ends up happening to the waiter, where somebody dines and dash, where, um, it's frowned upon and it's looked at more along the lines, not that you have to pay for it, but you are held accountable for not paying attention to what your diners are doing. So I thought that was pretty interesting, um, as we are talking. So with that being said, it is 32 minutes past the top of the hour. So it is time to do that thing that we do around here. So main story time, and man, do I continue to see some of the oddest odds and the weirdest weirds. And I like it because there's so many things to talk about and there's so many things to discuss and there's so many things to, uh, look around to. So let's talk about this for a brief moment, and I want to have a better understanding. And I will not say at any point that this has not happened to me, but also at some point I go, geez, maybe we should calm it down for just a brief moment. Have you ever walked into a room where you feel you are not qualified to do what you're doing? Felt, not exactly meaning that you couldn't do it, but you kind of felt maybe I'm not qualified for this.

And the reason that I ask this is because, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, has our world gotten scary? And let me explain what I mean when I say that. You are aware that nowadays people get so hung up on this letter soup that happens behind their name. They want to put every acronym that's possible for people to know that they are a subject matter expert in regards of what's going on. Where now it's gotten even more interesting, and I have to tell you that I just don't understand this because I want to have a better understanding, where now people are posting that they are a PhD candidate. PhD candidate. As part of their signature on their email. A PhD candidate. Now, I want you to have the understanding on what this means. I want you to think about this for a moment. Envision taekwondo, envision Brazilian jiu-jitsu, envision kung fu, or whatever the hell you want to envision here. And at the bottom of my emails, I put that I am a black belt candidate, a black belt candidate at the bottom of my email. Even if I'm a white belt, does it mean that I'm gonna make it a black belt? No. Is there a hope that I make it there? Yes. But why would you list this? Like, why is this so— this thing?

That we are so insecure that we have to tend to list these things like they're important. I will tell you, certifications are interesting to me because we want to be so gung-ho about a certification that I went to a 3-day event to, and all of a sudden, boom. Like, I am always amazed when I go somewhere and it's like, Are you issuing CEUs? Are there CEUs? Is this a bit— it's like, if this is the way that we're looking at everything, it's kind of weird. Like, I will tell you, I will read book after book after book after book, and I never asked for a certification because I read a book. And I don't know if you know this, but there are classes that you can take online, and as long as you do not list yourself as someone who is actually taking the class, but you're previewing the class, reviewing the class, and don't find it— like, take a test— you can watch as many as you want. And I don't think people are going after certifications there unless they're consistently trying to get them. But this is where it gets strange. Why is it that we believe that these letterings that go behind the name are going to bring some level of authority to what you do? It doesn't make sense to me because here's what we're kind of doing at the same time too. The people that are doing the work, the people that are doing the heavy lifting, that are not sitting in the air-conditioned room, we're invalidating what they do to some extent. And I say this for the following reason. Think about this.

Most of the time they're nose to the ground grinding in regards to what needs to be done, and they're not slapping letters on the back of their name. And we are— and all of a sudden, are we taking a look at it and going, oh, they don't bring any value to what's going on? I don't think it works that way, but you almost have to start thinking about it like that because all of a sudden we're not giving them A portion to think about because, hey, the letters are not there. So when you go out there, and I'm just asking a question to have a better understanding, and you decide to get a designation, you decide to get this new piece of paper, are you getting it because you believe that it was street cred? Or do you— are you getting this because you think that you're going to learn something new? Now, if you're doing it because you think you're going to learn something new, I get But if it's only for the validation of the credentials, because now you have this, uh, alphabet soup behind your name and it makes sense, that's kind of odd. Now I'm gonna tell you, and I tried to say this from the very beginning, at one point I had some doubts about things in life and I would do that. And then it got to the point that I started realizing that maybe I should put the highest credential only behind my name.

Because that was the one that was important. I do have a colleague that I do a lot of interaction with, and he says you don't have to put shit back there because it doesn't really matter. And I can agree with that aspect too, when it's all said and done. So when you sit here today and you hear something along these lines, do you go, yes, this makes the most logical sense of something to do? Or do you think that it brings a level of validation to you? Because here's a little, here's a little thing to share with you. A lot of people don't even know what those letters mean. If they're not in the same field that you are, they don't know. Seriously, they do not know. They can look at it and go, boom, this makes sense. I will tell you, there is one very popular credential that's out there that stands for Certified Safety Professional. And if you are a certified speaker, certified speaker because you've done X amount of events, they use the exact same credential lettering, CSP. So think about that for a moment. In one world, do you believe that these letters mean something to you? And I'm not picking on the CSP here, I'm just bringing this up.

To you, they mean something. They need to bring street cred. Imagine if somebody that's a professional, a certified professional speaker, brings this in. Also, the Pentagon says the number of U.S. service members killed in the conflict in Iran has to 17 following the deaths of 2 soldiers in Jordan. Soldiers were identified as First Lieutenant James Phelan, 25, of Hawaii, and Private Isabella Gonzalez, 19, of Texas. Their deaths are the latest American casualties in the conflict that has spread across the Middle East since March. Following the announcement, the U.S. Central Command confirmed and carried out another round of military strikes against Iran. President Trump said that the campaign has left Iran's military very badly damaged with very little left. It's a military capability. So there you go. In some other news, the FDA says that earlier tests appear to have detected that the parasite in lettuce linked to a multi-state illness outbreak was actually a false positive. The agency reexamined the lettuce from Taylor Farms de México after initially reporting tested positive. Following the review, the FDA said that there were currently no confirmed positive test results for the disease and in any product samples related to the outbreak. The investigation into a multi-state outbreak is continuing, but officials say that the revised tests resulted in no laboratory confirmation of the parasite and is recalled, uh, lettuce fact. So there you go. There you go. There you go. And then let me give you this one. Production has been temporarily halted in Fairlife after Coca-Cola-owned milk brand has hit a ransomware cyberattack. The company has detected unauthorized access to parts of its computer network, including systems and support production, and it took portions of the network offline to investigate the breach and to restore the operation. The Coca-Cola Company said the product quality and safety have not been affected, but all U.S. Fairlife production has been temporarily suspended, and the company is still assessing the full impact, which would lead to supply disruption since Fairlife products are sold roughly 1 out of every 4 U.S. households.
