Kasra Dash:
So if you are a locksmith and you're looking to generate high quality consistent leads every single day for your business, this video is for you. Myself and James, we've worked with a lot of different locksmiths. So we're going to break down every single strategy that's working for successful locksmith companies throughout the UK. James, take it away.

James Dooley:
So step number one, what I'd be looking to do to grow is a Google Business Profile. If you already have one, I'd be making certain that I would be reaching out to all my existing clients to try to get me as many five star reviews as possible. It's a great way for Google Business Profile to generate more leads. There's obviously getting citations and doing Google Business Profile posts and uploading photos on there. So that's definitely step one that I would be doing to try to generate more local leads.

Kasra Dash:
So step number two, to bolster your Google Business Profile, I would create dedicated service pages for each of your individual services as SEO optimised pages on your website. When you start doing that, it helps your SEO page rank but it also increases the likelihood of your Google Business Profile showing up for those keywords as well. So you're indirectly going to get more phone calls.

James Dooley:
Yeah, for sure. And if you are looking for more local leads, another option is PPC lead generation. That's pay per click within Google or within Bing where you're trying to target the bottom of the funnel keywords to generate more inquiries. The difficult part is you need to make certain you team up with a good pay per click agency because there is click fraud and you also need a strong negative keyword list so you're not wasting money on job seekers. PPC can work well but in the wrong hands you can waste a lot of money.

Kasra Dash:
Yeah. And after that you've also got meta ads like Facebook and Instagram. When someone goes on Facebook scrolling they might see your ad. There are a few different ways to set up Facebook ads. Option A is lead forms which are very easy because they never leave the platform. The issue is the quality might not be great but you can add more questions to improve it. Then you've also got conversion ads which send people to your website where they fill out your contact form. So you've got a couple of different options you can use.

James Dooley:
Yeah, for sure. Another way to grow local leads is organic social media. Posting regularly on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram. There are lots of different platforms. Reddit is quite big nowadays and Quora is also big if people have questions and you can answer them. Organic social media is a great way to generate more local leads.

Kasra Dash:
With organic social media, I would say it's more of a volume game. You want to make certain you're constantly uploading, whether it's daily or weekly. You might say, “I want to upload five videos a week,” and you should try to stick to that, especially with algorithms like YouTube and Twitter.

James Dooley:
Yeah, for sure. What are your thoughts on using AI agents, teaming up with someone to use tools like N8N to automate and schedule posts on social media? Trying to leverage artificial intelligence is all the rage for generating more leads. Would you team up with an AI consultant to set it up?

Kasra Dash:
Yeah. You can definitely go down that route by setting up AI agents to crop videos and auto publish to YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. But another thing I would also focus on is AI search. A lot of people have started moving away from Google. Not everyone, because billions still use it every day, but more people now search with ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok. If your brand isn't showing up in any of those, you will have issues generating leads. So that's something I would focus on as a company.

James Dooley:
Yeah. And if you're looking for more local business leads, I would team up with trades people websites like Checkatrade, Bark, Builder Builder, TrustATrader, Rated People. All these platforms can generate more leads. You should track your KPIs to see your return on investment. Track cost per lead and cost per acquisition. Tradespeople websites can work very well. Check out the links in the description because we do many videos comparing Checkatrade with FatRank, Bark with FatRank, Rated People with FatRank, Builder Builder with FatRank. Now I've mentioned FatRank a few times. Kasra, what are your thoughts on lead generation companies versus tradespeople companies?

Kasra Dash:
With lead generation companies you want to do your due diligence. Make certain that if you are in a specific niche, the lead generation company has generated leads in that industry before. I would also have a strategy call with them and say, “This is my budget, this is how many leads I want,” to see if your KPIs align. You also want to check what type of leads they provide. Are they exclusive leads or shared leads? Shared leads are common with Bark and Checkatrade. Company owners often tell us their biggest pain point is shared leads because it's a race to the bottom on price. So those are things I would ask before partnering with a lead generation company.

James Dooley:
Yeah, for sure. If anyone is interested in generating more local leads, I strongly recommend heading over to FatRank.com where we have a commission based lead generation service. You only pay a finder's fee on converted jobs. You pay nothing per lead. You pay nothing until you get paid. Only when you complete the job and get paid do you pay FatRank. So head over to FatRank.com and see whether you qualify. But I want to expand further. What are your thoughts on inbound lead generation versus outbound lead generation?

Kasra Dash:
I always prefer inbound. The conversion rate of not just getting the lead but converting that lead into a paying customer is a lot higher. The last stat I saw was 16.1 percent convert into a paying customer compared to 1.4 percent for outbound leads.

James Dooley:
Yeah, that's crazy. That's like 10 to 12 times more conversion.

Kasra Dash:
Exactly. Outbound takes a lot of volume whether it's cold calling, cold email or LinkedIn. You also need more staff, and people think they're generating free leads but there's still the cost of email sending and the sales team trying to convert them. So I agree, inbound is much better. But what are your thoughts when people ask if real time leads are important and whether leads should come through instantly?

James Dooley:
Yeah, it's very important. The last stat we saw internally was that if you get a real time lead it converts 60 to 65 percent higher. I think it was 63 percent higher. When we broke down KPIs, responding within under a minute was the goal. We used to think five minutes was good but under a minute drastically increased conversions. I'm not saying every company must respond in under a minute, but these are factors we consider at FatRank when partnering with businesses. Some businesses go away for five days and have nobody answering leads. These details matter. The best thing I recommend is fill out the form at FatRank. The team will tell you if you're the right fit and give feedback if you're not.

Kasra Dash:
I hope you like the strategies for generating more leads for your locksmith company. Make certain you head over to FatRank.com. We work with many locksmiths throughout the UK. Let's see whether you can be the next locksmith company we generate leads for.
