Rotgrind - Narrative Declaration

Divine immolation. Ash-simulacra. A pillar of flame converting the Smoldering City into an arena. The party trades blows with Uncle Blaze's avatar and cannot finish the fight — and the amalgamate corners them on the way out. Then Gorgomunger speaks for the first time, a full and formal farewell, and walks alone into the fire to hold it off.

Are you all excited for another amazing episode of Rotgrime?
That's Speaker D's impression of dying in fire.
And then I'm strangling Speaker with a polo.
That's how it's going to go.
That's how I'll end my life.
But hi, everybody.
Welcome to another exciting episode of Rotgrime.
You probably want to watch the last episode because we're kind of going straight into it.
So Thurston, as all of us get closer to our microphones, make sure everyone can hear us nice, loud, and clear.
Hello.
Hello.
Thurston, what whores do you have for us today?
Back, I got a pint of bourbon.
Nice.
Today, we follow our destined band of chuckle fucks as they entered the smoldering city, a rune, hours from the peripheral borders of the great city of Outset, and now kindled by some divine force.
That divine force being Uncle Blaze, who has taken direct possession of the leader of the Children of the Blaze, Denny Elort.
And we begin with Elort, now fully subsumed by the power of Uncle Blaze.
Let's get some art here.
As he is now ablaze, his hand clutching out a floating symbol of Gatharim, Uncle Blaze himself, his body on fire.
Yeah, okay, we're not fucking around.
Everybody roll initiative for your character, please.
Ready for action.
Thurston, it is significantly smoky and fiery here.
Can I potentially do stealth as my initiative?
Absolutely.
Hell yeah.
It's a 30 on initiative.
Sweet.
23.
Can I do a backflip and use athletics for my...
Yeah.
Yeah, sure, you want to, you know.
Okay, good, okay.
Can I be first in initiative?
Yeah.
How about no?
I'm clicking the beginning counter button.
The Lord whose flesh has begun to slough off.
Yes, 38.
He's a boss.
If you want to, if you would like to go through your respective initiative scores, noting that Denny Elort is 8 above the highest of you, you may start and tell everybody.
All right.
I have 30 initiative?
I got a 27.
Speaker?
I've got a 23.
I thought I was way further down.
I've got a 23 as well.
And Oren's got a 22.
Stinkin'.
Oren!
All right.
And with that, Denny Elort will go first.
He will spend his first action to use one of his abilities.
He will coalesce ash, which will allow him to make an ashen simulacrum.
Anywhere within 60 feet.
He will drop it right there.
And then for his second action, he will begin casting a spell.
He will start off.
Let's start small.
We'll start with a divine immolation that has a 120 foot range.
I will drop it right there as he creates a divine holocaust that falls and causes the area around the pillar of flame, which at this point, by the way, after he stepped forward, his face began to slough off.
The immense pillar that has been emitted from the center of the smoldering city has burst outwards, now kind of encompassing you as an arena of flame.
But he, in that moment, as you were all kind of getting your bearings after this happened, the pillar expanding out past you, not burning any of you.
But you will take fire anyways, because he's going to cast this spell.
You should all see this spell that I have dropped in chat.
You should also be able to click on your tokens and give me the appropriate save.
So please go ahead and do so.
Okay.
Okay, I will make a basic reflex save for you, Thurston Hillman, the GM.
He gots.
Oh!
Orend!
Got a 21.
He's going to spend a hero point!
I think I am also going to spend a hero point.
Because damage right at the get-go sucks!
I rolled a natural 20!
Let's go!
Let's go!
I'm going to just...
I'm just going to take the damage.
I rolled a 20.
I rolled a 30.
I rolled a 30.
Because Orend's die came over and slammed into mine, making it a 3.
I only got a 26.
It's like I pushed your result over so I could get a crit.
Like, get out of the way!
All right.
So Baldrick fails.
Tannhauser fails.
Rahua's success.
And Veena and Orend are critical successes.
So you will take no damage from this.
So the...
I'm going to roll the damage here.
One sec.
Not a lot.
Okay.
So the failures will apply to Baldrick and Tannhauser.
So I will do that.
I'm hit.
And then Rahua, you will take half damage.
However, the failures will also take 2d6 persistent fire damage.
So Tannhauser and Baldrick, both of you are now on fire.
As Alort walks forward, waves his cane.
Again, his face melting off.
Gorgamunger doesn't take damage here because he's considered part of our dear friend because of the summonery rules.
I believe that's how that works, right?
Or do you have to make a save for Gorgamunger?
Oh, it's a companion.
That's right.
It's not an Eidolon.
I forgot.
My bad.
That's right.
Got him.
Yeah, yeah.
Got him.
He made a 30.
30.
So yeah, you'll take half damage on this.
So we'll pop that there.
Sorry about that.
Okay.
No, you're good.
Okay.
So with that, he twirls his cane and this just blasts of fire come down.
He has then also conjured forth one of his ashen simulacrum of himself, this sort of gray figure straight up ahead.
And that is Mr. Alort's go.
Rahua, you are up.
Absolutely.
Rahua is going to take the opportunity to move a little further away because we don't want to be all grouped up.
If another wave of fire happens, we're going to move.
As you're moving, Zorin, did you get all everybody's hero points spends on those?
I only heard me do hero points.
So I didn't get anybody else.
I also did a hero point.
Okay.
I'll get you.
Cool.
All right.
So Rahua, you move up.
Correct.
And Rahua's going to move up to there and looking at Mr. Alort across the arena.
Rahua is going to drag the forces of entropy down upon him and cast stagnate time.
Let me draw a circle.
Oh, no.
He's drawing a circle.
I'm drawing.
Fear me.
He shapes.
Oh, I died.
Foot circle.
I'm going to move it.
You can do it, Mr. Rahua.
You can hit both.
Okay.
There we go.
And I will cast it first.
Boom.
Oh, no.
Let's get rid of that one.
Oh, there's double.
There's double circles.
Okay.
I can't do that yet.
As yet.
Okay.
All right.
And you need a will save.
Well, actually, both the simulacrum and Alort will need one.
Okay.
The simulacrum will not because it is.
Oh, actually, let me see.
Oh, no.
Well, okay.
Let's do it.
Uh, he will succeed and the ashen simulacrum will succeed.
So, on a success, they are unaffected.
Okay.
Okay, they are fine.
And technically, this would happen at the beginning of their turns, by the way.
Correct.
Yeah.
So, okay.
Cool, cool, cool.
So, they make their saves from the beginning of their turns.
Awesome.
Gotcha.
Great.
And turn.
Cool.
Um, yeah.
And then to Baldrick.
Yep.
All right.
So, Baldrick is on fire.
So, I don't want to take that.
I'm going to, uh, I'm going to spend my turn to put myself out.
Or try to.
Okay.
You can actually just spend two actions and that just reduces the DC for when you make
the check at the end of the round.
Okay.
I'm going to spend two actions for that then.
Cool.
And then you get one if you want to reposition or move around.
Uh, I'm going to go into stealth.
Because I feel like it has been completely obliterated at this point because I got hit
by an explosion.
Okay.
So, I'm going to roll a stealth again.
Yeah.
But not an initiative because that would be stupid.
Correct.
I'm going to evade notice.
So, I'm kind of hiding behind Veena, I guess.
All right.
That's a five.
So, that's a 21.
Okay.
Uh, you're not sure how effective that is, but no worries.
Uh, okay.
Uh, if you end your turn, it will prompt you and then just click the roll button and the
DC will be lowered.
So, it won't auto-calc that.
But, okay.
Uh, click the roll recovery.
Come on.
Okay.
No, you're actually good because you spent the two actions.
It reduces it down to five.
So, you're good.
And you take no damage because, um, you spent the action.
So, you actually get to make the check before taking the damage.
Yeah.
I'm pretty.
All right.
There we go.
That's my turn.
Ten Hezor, you're up.
Okay.
Uh, so I take the fire damage immediately, yes?
No.
End of your turn.
End of my turn.
Okay.
Cool.
Um, I think what is going to be necessary, I don't think I have a lot of time for movement
here.
I think what I'm going to do is I'm going to go ahead and cast on myself a fourth level
resist energy.
Okay.
Um, which I try.
Yeah, obviously.
Yeah, obviously.
Yeah.
Okay.
Uh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
No, sorry.
I popped out the window and, uh, the foundry doesn't like that.
So, I'll put that on to, um, let's see.
Fourth level, I can target up to two creatures.
I'm going to choose myself, and I'm also going to choose, uh, Vina.
Okay.
I think I can put these effects on you one sec.
Vina, wah, wah.
There you go.
And then with my one remaining action, I'm going to put Laughing Shadow on myself.
Great thing.
I'm going to activate my Arcane, uh, Cascade, and that's all I got.
Awesome.
Cool.
You may end your, your turn and move to Vina.
Uh, oh yeah, you'll take fire damage, so you can click the recovery check.
Very good.
And you'll take no damage because of your resistance.
Yay.
I got it.
That one.
Nothing bad happens there.
It's, it's a flat check, so we don't do complications or anything.
Oh, nice.
So, you're good.
All right, Passantina, you're up.
Oakley Doakley.
Um, well, getting, I, I definitely want to stop clumping up.
So, let's see.
I've got a good bit of movement, but I don't think it's enough to get me to him.
Oh, it's just enough.
Just enough.
Okay.
Sick nasty.
So, I'm going to, uh, tumble through to get there and back here.
Okay, so you are moving into, like, past him and then back out, right?
Yeah.
Uh, because for the slow time, you have to start your turn there, right?
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah.
Okay.
Sick.
Um, so I'm going to give you a little acrobatics roll here.
Oh, wait.
Targeting him.
There we go.
Not ideal.
That'll, that'll pass.
That'll pass.
Okay.
Um.
Ganache.
Yeah.
Uh, oh, nice.
Um, and then I'm going to attack the simulacrum and see if I can't get rid of it.
Yeah.
Do it up.
Oh!
Okay.
Good start.
Good start.
Good start.
That's a net 20.
That's a net 20.
Uh, let's roll the crit damage with the, okay, finisher box is ticked.
Let's go!
Oh, beautiful.
Oh.
That'll be, uh, 66 points of damage for you, Thurston.
Well, damn.
The simulacrum disappears.
Oh.
Oh.
Oh.
All right.
And, uh, that's my three actions.
That would be your three actions.
Going to, uh, uh, point at Uncle Blaze, raise the rapier at him and say, your turn.
Uh, and I'm going to end my turn.
He's going to boil you now.
All right, Orin.
Yeah, I'm going to burst into flames now.
Thank you.
You will be boiled.
Orin's going to clap his hands.
Just pow!
Pow!
And then basically come out a little acorn.
And they go, Mr. Baldrick, punch this.
Yeah.
And he holds it up.
What?
Punch it.
What?
Punch the acorn.
What?
Punch my nut.
No.
Bust his nut, Baldrick!
Baldrick is going to fade into the shadows or attempt to do so.
No!
He runs into the firewall.
He just goes into it.
No, I'm stealthing.
He can't see me.
No, okay.
He turns around like, where'd Bust it go?
Mr. Tannhauser raises up the nut.
I need you to punch it or destroy it.
It would be an honor to bust your nut.
And I will summarily throw a Keltrop at it.
And act out of your round.
I'm sure he's just casting a spell for narrative effect.
Yeah, for narrative effect.
Technically, it's a scroll, but I'm using his nuts.
The scroll of summon healing servitor.
Oh, yeah.
So basically, this thing's a little complicated.
So feel free to help me out there.
So basically, this thing shows up.
It's like a little guy.
He's like a large creature.
As soon as he shows up, he goes,
wall and everyone within his radius of 20 feet.
You get 20 temporary hit points until the servitor departs.
So I want to see if I can get that figured out.
The 30-foot emanation does have a button.
Yeah, that's when he disappears when he departs.
When he arrives, pretty much he appears in a flash of light,
moving from ally to ally, grabbing him a temporary reprieve.
All allies within 20 feet of the servitor gain 20 temporary hit points
until the servitor departs.
So I'm basically just trying to get everyone like 20 temporary HP and stuff.
Unfortunately, I don't have like a token or a thingy.
It's not activating a thing.
It's not really how some foundry stuff works.
So I don't know if there is a healing servitor token or if not,
we can just put like a little thing.
Like a circle.
A huge one.
One sec.
One sec.
That, or I can just put it on me and see if it does a thing.
Yeah, I can grab you a huge token.
One sec.
One sec.
Let's do something fun here.
Yeah, so as you're looking for that, pretty much the counter.
It burns.
He's like, why not?
And then basically just this glowing,
just like kind of like Trent tree-like creature just kind of comes forth
and basically starts radiating healing stuff.
And starts helping everybody.
Where do you want it?
Where you put it is actually pretty good.
That should get everybody in a 20-foot radius, I believe.
Oh, yeah.
Absolutely.
So everybody, if you can do the spell effects, summon healing person,
put that on yourself.
That'll give you 20 temporary HP.
Hell yeah.
Hell yeah.
Also, if you have your Aeon Stone invested, remember to apply that to yourself.
Oh, yes.
You'll get one HP every minute.
Wee.
Okay.
Yeah.
Sorry, it's a huge creature, but you get the idea.
Yeah.
Sorry, I just ignore that.
I was removing the necrotic bomb from my inventory because it's not there anymore.
And so they took all three of Oren's actions, and he goes, thanks for the assist.
And that's the end of his turn.
Okay.
Okay.
Elort is going to go.
The melting Elort looks up at Yuvena after you smash through the simulacrum.
Uh, his, his care for temporal dynamics is nothing, because he seems unaffected by the effects that Ruhu has placed down.
But he looks at Yuvena.
This city is just a reminder of what happens when you mortals don't listen!
Uh, he then moves over to here, out of the area of effect.
Oh, sorry.
He then spends another action to create yet another action simulacrum.
Sorry, Thurston.
Uh, for Grogamonger's thing, he's just going over this way.
Yeah, for sure.
Good call.
Thanks, chat members.
We'll drop that there.
And then for his final action, uh, he will target you, Veena, and unleash a gout of flame.
Well, don't do that.
Oh!
Oh!
Miss Bob, what?
Miss!
Miss!
I'll hit you with a villain point.
Ah!
Mark me down.
Villain points, no!
Bastard!
Why did I agree to put that in our system?
Bastard!
I'm just going to roll the damage here now.
Ooh!
Chat, you did this!
Uh, so you'll take, uh, I'm going to apply this damage.
I don't know how much it'll resist, so, because you have the resist energy, so I'm just going to put this on you.
One sec.
Yeah, and then I've just got to add 10 back to you, because, yeah.
Cool.
Okay.
Yeah, resistance 10.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
There we go.
Cool.
All right, so, yeah, you take 14 and are also on fire.
Cool.
All right, uh, and then that will be his go.
Rahua, you're up.
Oakley, Oakley, Rahua's going to, um, actually not going to do anything in terms of moving.
Uh, but Rahua will outstretch his hand to Vina, and the other hand to Mr. Alort, and speak into the air with a reverberant, nightmarish tone.
Ooh, Rastavkar, Grushkar!
Yeah, and Vina, your wonderful little cannon begins glowing.
You hear strange ethereal whispers from it.
Alort will need to make a save, because I'm going to cast, with Reach spell, Implement of Destruction.
Ooh!
You want to drop that in the chat?
Yeah.
Sure do.
When I solemnly declare that that target weapon will bring death to a foe, Implanting, and a rational fear of the weapon to the target enemy.
This link echoes the forefront of the enemy's mind, and he critically succeeded, so it doesn't matter.
Ooh!
Ooh!
Ooh!
Well.
Yeah, um, there is no fear in the eyes of this nascent god.
Ooh!
Well, I tried.
Sorry, Halky.
I got one action left.
No, I Reach spell, I can't.
Oh, that's right, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Baldrick, you're up!
All right, so, uh, having, uh, I don't, I'm not terribly pleased with that stealth role, so what I'm going to do is I'm going to go into stealth again.
Yeah.
To hopefully do a better job of it this time.
And then I'm going to try to reposition somewhere else, provided I do good on the stealth first, I need to make sure I'm not targetable.
No, same roll.
No, uh, worse, actually, 19.
Whatever, I'm just going to move.
Okay.
I'm not allowed to do that, so let's see.
Where can I go?
Why is it not marking my movable distance?
Hold on.
Yep, 20.
All right, so I'm going to move 20 feet.
Crud.
You can move through the big thing if you need to.
No, because I don't want to move next to anyone.
I'm trying to not cluster up, because that's a bad idea.
Yeah.
Uh, Thurston, about how, how, how wide is the perimeter of this fire ring that we're stuck in?
It's like, average is like 10 feet-ish.
I mean, like, is, is this fine where I'm pointing to?
No, you're fine in there.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay.
Okay, I'm going to move 20 feet there, and then reposition another 20 feet further down.
I'm repositioning because trying to fight from where you're standing at the beginning of battle is a bad idea, and I end my turn.
Okay.
Tannhauser, you're up.
Okay.
Um, let's see.
What to do.
Um, I think I would probably be best served rushing after a lord, right?
Yeah.
You want to get close to your mic a little bit for me?
My mistake.
Thank you.
So, let's see.
I can get to here.
Two rounds, yeah.
Yeah, like in the middle of the arena.
I don't think that would be two rounds because I'm, uh, laughing shadowed, right?
Oh, yeah, that's right.
You got the plus five.
Yeah, yeah.
Um.
Yeah, you're good.
So, let's see.
Do I have anything good for two actions?
Um.
Yes, I do, actually.
Um, he is about.
How far away is he?
Da-da-da-da-da.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He's within range.
So, I'm going to simply take one of my caltrops, put a lot of energy, like hold it between my forethumb, uh, my index finger and my thumb.
What spell did you cast when you went into your arcane cascade?
Uh, I cast, uh, the beautiful, beautiful shield spell.
Yeah, so what is that?
What damage type is that?
Uh, I, fire, I suppose?
No, no, it's when you cast a spell, like the, because your arcane cascade gives you damage based on that, right?
I don't think, no, you're thinking of, um, a spell weapon.
Okay, arcane cascade just gives me, like, damage, I suppose.
I don't think it's, uh, themed that way.
Anyway.
Yeah, but your laughing shadow is when you.
Let me, let me check that real quick, actually.
Yeah, because your laughing shadow is when you go into your cascade.
Right, I'm sorry, I, but you need to activate cascade off of a spell.
Yeah, so you, you, when you say you activate laughing shadow, you're activating arcane cascade.
Yes, and laughing shadow is a sub.
Yes, that's right.
And then you would get, yeah, yeah, okay, cool.
Just make it.
My apologies.
You're good.
Um, regardless, I am going to store potential energy between my thumb and my index finger,
and I'm going to cast Magnetic Acceleration.
Okay.
Targeted at Mr. Elort.
Sure.
It's an attack roll.
Yo, let's rock.
You're gonna hit him.
I hit him for a 34.
So the Caltrop goes skittering across the field.
See how well it does its job.
For 20 damage.
Uh, Elort takes 20 damage.
Uh, he will react to that.
Very good.
Um, he will...
React with Vision of Ash.
If he is hit by an attack, which this would be, he can create another action simulacrum.
Uh-oh.
Oh, joy.
Oh, joy.
Create one right there.
Okay, go.
Ghost!
Ghost!
Ghost!
All right, that's my turn.
Yeah, so another Ashen simulacrum kind of appears between, uh, Rahua and Baldrick.
Uh, there's one by the Healing Servitor and Vena.
Uh, Tanhauser, uh, yeah, roll that recovery check.
You fail, but you take no damage because your resist is high, so that is that.
Okay.
Very good.
Okay.
Okay.
Uh, okay, uh...
Um, so I can cross through just so long as I don't start my turn there, yeah?
Yes.
Okay.
Um, so I'm going to go...
Uh, or first, first action, I'm actually going to chug a Potion of Quickness.
Okay.
Go, go.
Go.
Gonna use that.
So draw and drink, so two actions.
Okay, so that would be two actions.
Yeah.
Um, and so I would have two actions remaining?
I imagine the haste takes?
Yeah, yeah, so the haste would take effect now, so you'd get your free stride or strike.
Okay, so I would get my free stride or strike.
Uh, so I'm gonna use my free stride to get here.
Um, and then one action left.
I'll just hit him normal style for now and go for the finisher next round.
Normal style, I like it.
I'll hit him normal style.
All right.
Whiffed.
Oh!
Oh, it's a natural one.
Oh, I hate these dice.
I hear the whiff sound before I saw the one.
Uh, okay.
Um...
Okay, well, let's see.
Um...
The dice giveth and the dice titheth.
Oh, there's a couple things here, so let's, uh...
I know, I know, right?
I'm sorry.
Um...
Wow.
Okay, let's see here.
So that was a attack run.
There's so many of these that are, like, funny, but they're only funny in, like, an urban environment.
Like, oh, man, a cop comes in and gives you a ticket.
That's not happening here.
That would be really funny to have that.
Yeah, he runs through the fire.
Yeah, right, like...
The ashen simulacrum appears, only to give me a parking ticket.
Oh, no.
Um...
Dear God.
Uh...
Like, yeah, these ones are kind of, kind of tricky.
Um...
Ooh...
I am going to use this one, uh...
From the River Willow Druid that is, uh, just called the Sword of Damocles.
And I can just apply a complication later in the future at my choosing.
No!
No!
I like that one.
That's a fun one.
That's a good one.
Hey!
Fuck you, fellow Patreon member!
Nah, I'm joking.
Thank you, fellow Patreon member.
We're at Patreon.com, first listener to Deck the Rage, when you can make it suffer.
What's up, fellow Patreon member, as though Zoran is part of his own Patreon.
We are.
We're all a part of it.
All of it.
How do you do, fellow Patreon members?
Hey, you, uh, uh, you also ended your, uh, move within range.
So, um, uh, can you, uh, click on this reflex save I just put into chat, uh, Vina?
I just click on the little man.
The money.
I clicked on the little man.
Cool.
You get a good success.
You're fine.
Yay!
I'm fast as fuck.
You don't take fire damage from him as you get close.
Ah.
You think you're so hot.
His melting face cocks towards you.
Uh, is that your go now?
Yeah.
Draw, da-da.
Yeah.
Yep.
Uh, all right.
Oren, you're up.
Oh, and V.
I am persistent.
Would take fire, but doesn't take any.
Just roll recovery.
Uh, nar.
Excellent.
Excellent.
All right.
Oren.
Hmm.
I'm sorry for hooming.
I had an idea.
Um, I might as well do this now.
Juvenile flight!
So I don't have to worry about ground stuff.
Basically, I could fly around today.
Sure.
Yeah, so part of his two actions, Oren Canal, like, fly around.
Here's his flight speed and everything else.
Uh, for his final action, he's gonna...
Just kind of flap, flap over.
Uh, he's gonna go right over, uh, his little healing thing.
Uh, about...
And then your healing thing departs, I think, right?
Uh, basically, he stays for...
To the end of my turn, he goes away.
So basically, the servitor's disappears at a 30-foot emanation of vital energy.
All willing creatures within, uh, heal 3d8 hit points.
Oh, damn it.
So I'll put this.
Yep.
Ho!
There we go.
Uh, so pretty much everyone except, uh, dear Vena will be healed for 3d8 hit points.
Let me get that roll there for you.
Healing.
Except Vena.
Let me, uh, let me get that there for you.
And just, ho!
Ho!
And that'll be 15.
Nice.
And then that thing goes away.
And I am, uh...
I will select myself and heal.
I should be 10 feet up.
Come on, 10 feet.
10 feet.
I type 10 feet.
10 feet.
There we go.
That is the end of Oren's turn.
So I can only go up 10 feet because otherwise the air pressure is too high.
I went forward and up a little bit so, like, the distance and 3d gets weird.
Thurston.
Thurston.
Thurston.
Yes, hi.
Sorry.
Uh, I hit the music.
So I was eating your poutine.
Blah, blah, blah, blah.
Yeah, I know, right?
All right.
Denis Elort will go.
He will start by, um...
Oh, gosh.
He'll start by creating another action simulacrum.
Oh, wait.
I need to put the haste effect on myself.
There we go.
That'll go fast.
Perfect.
Gonna drop an action Elort there.
Don't do that.
Uh, then he will, for his second action, um, he, like, fumes.
Um, so this allows him to place a 15-foot burst out of himself or any, um, creature within 15 feet.
So, uh, or any of the, the simulacrums, so he is going to actually drop it on this one here.
Um, I will put this in chat.
Rahua and Oren.
This will still hit you, Oren, because it goes up.
Uh, please give me a fortitude save.
There's a thick cloud of smoke billows out from this duder.
Oh, roll the nat one.
Oh, it begins.
Rahua rolled the nat one.
Oh, my God.
I'm going to hero point that.
We can't.
We can't.
We can't.
I forgot.
So both of you, uh, sickened two from this, which is pretty cool.
Um, yeah, that's, that's pretty neat.
Um, and then let me just drop these.
Would you?
Sickened.
Uh, oh, God.
Sickened two, not sickened five.
Okay, perfect.
Uh, yeah, so both of you are sickened two, uh, as a, like, great, great billow of ash appears to come out of the, uh, Hessian simulacrum.
Um, um, and then, uh, Mr. Alort will, uh, see you there, Veena, and attack you with his cane.
Oh, yes.
Okay.
I'll crit you.
So that's a nice critical hit.
Yeah, it's pretty, it's pretty good.
I, I guess I should have declared my nimble dodge, huh?
You can nimble dodge.
You can nimble dodge.
I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll try to at least stop the crit.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm going to assume, I'm going to assume you're going to have two options anytime I attack you, which will be to nimble dodge to get your AC higher, or to, uh, wait to do the riposte.
So, I'm going to assume, unless you tell me otherwise, you want the nimble dodge most of the time.
Dolgen.
Okay, cool.
Uh, then regular damage here.
Still a lot.
Not really, only nine points of damage because of the resistance.
Okay, okay, okay.
Yeah, so.
It's still good.
Yeah.
Good spell to Houser.
Good spell.
Good spell.
Good spell.
You're welcome, Houser.
Okay, uh, and, like, he will, like, as he, like, slashes at you with the, the cane.
You think I could unleash all this devastation and could just destroy you with a thought?
Uh, Ruhua, you're up.
As you cough in the ashen cloud of death.
Ruhua's going to move one space over.
I'm still dragging it.
Not, there we go.
Walk out.
I'm going to make a fortitude save to try and dismiss that effect.
Oh, uh, the second?
Yes.
Uh, yeah, yeah, so you.
Reduce it, rather.
Wretching, yes.
Uh, 28.
A 28 will, will reduce it by one, so that will go down.
You'll be sickened one now.
Shmowow.
And we're going to target that entity there.
And I'm going to hit him with my mossy pick.
Okay.
He had the wrong item.
He's hitting those ashen men.
Yeah, roll me down.
Demagio.
40 damage.
Nice.
Then again, we know these guys don't exactly, uh, have a lot of health.
You dissipate the, uh, the action simulacrum.
Delightful.
You okay in there, Oren?
He's having a bad time.
Sound of Oren in a domestic oven.
No.
I'm really getting rotisserie chickened here, boys.
Oh, it's getting cooked.
His goose is cooked.
Baldrick, it's your go.
Uh, Baldrick is going to continue skirting around the perimeter, uh, but this time I'm going to try and make another stealth check and make it actually good this time.
Okay.
I believe.
Better.
That's significantly better.
That's 27.
Okay.
And he's going to continue repositioning.
I'm going to keep making moves around the perimeter so I don't have to do quite as much.
I also would like to be close to the action.
So he gets a little bit closer, two moves up, and that's the end of my turn.
Again, I can't do a whole lot because there's a lot happening.
Okay.
Tanazer, you're up.
All right.
So I can either deal with the Ashen Simulacrums or get in on the boss.
What do you guys think I should do?
I'm going to have Gorgomonger deal with the Simulacrums the best I can.
Your damage is best on boss.
You should engage the enemy in melee and take fire damage.
So I am going to cast Flowing Strike as Tannhauser briefly steps out of the time stream.
And I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to move myself right here.
Okay.
Well, I'm going to try to.
Here we go.
Yeah.
I'm going to move myself right here, actually.
Okay.
I'm going to hit our good friend with a Flowing Strike.
Sure.
So I will make a strike at him.
And I will get a 35.
That will hit him.
So I will strike my target, dealing 2d10 bludgeoning damage, which is not fantastic.
Plus my Laughing Shadow, which I believe is plus two.
Okay.
So not spectacular, 12.
The big thing is that I'm going to push him 10 feet in this direction.
Oh, I'm going to try to push him here, which I believe will also warrant attacks of opportunity
from myself and Vina.
Force movement?
I don't think so.
Force movement.
Okay.
Well, fair enough.
The important thing is there are a couple of things that are now going to happen here.
So first off, when you end your move, you enter his Aura of Heat.
So I need you to click on the save I put in chat.
Of course.
Absolutely.
Give me a save against fire.
Nice.
Good save.
So just half this.
Which is pretty good.
So you will take 14, which becomes four.
Four.
Four.
Uh, yes.
So you'll take four.
Uh, no, half of it because you succeeded.
So 12, then, yeah.
Because it's half of 2d6 because you succeeded.
Order of things.
Um, then he gets pushed.
Then he reacts.
Uh.
Um, his reaction will be different this time.
He will use Ashen Escape.
And he will replace this Ashen Simulacrum.
Oops, not that.
He will replace this Ashen Simulacrum here.
The boss is dead.
As, as basically you push him.
He flies back.
And as he does, he turns into ash.
Explodes in the strange, distorted time stream.
And then appears right under Oren in the, the smoke lands.
I want to put him back in initiative.
Damnation.
Oh yeah.
God damn it.
Will he have to worry about his own spell?
Like we do?
Huh?
You don't know that.
Oh.
I imagine.
I don't know.
Well, we're going to find out.
If you're referring to the cloud effect that is there.
Yes.
Um, it is safe to assume he probably is not, but.
Okay.
Fair enough.
I will enter.
Oh, and I do get to try and roll, uh, recovery.
Yeah.
Because I could roll an 11 or something.
Nothing happens.
Cool.
Yeah.
View crit fail, but it doesn't matter.
Veena, you're up.
Okay.
Um, entering that cloud is no good for me.
I'm sorry.
You're, uh, you're, I don't know if you have like snacks or like a tic-tac or something.
I'm just imagining Veena everything on fire.
Just like, hmm, tic-tac.
That was me getting a tic-tac.
Yeah.
Sometimes I just need a bit of a refresher.
Tic-tac runs into the fire.
It was way too casual about this.
Damn, how are we going to take care of this fire god, guys?
Hold on.
I'm popping an Advil real quick.
All right.
Um.
Yeah, I'm not much of a ranged fighter, so I might just have to brave the smoke and try
my best not to end my turn there.
Yeah.
Well, I guess I have to reposition, too, because he's out of range of me now.
He's gonna be tricksy.
He's gonna be, uh, poofing around.
Um.
So, I am going to 35 feet.
Uh, first action, I'll tumble through.
Okay.
Uh, put myself.
Now you have to give me a four-digit save.
So, it's upon entering, yes.
Yeah, for this one, it's entering.
There you go.
Yeah, fair enough.
Oh, natural 20?
Yay!
Okay, we take those.
We take those.
Yay!
Peace and save.
Knock on wood, knock on wood, knock on wood.
Knock on wood.
Um.
All right.
So, I'm going to tumble through him with my first action.
Rolling that acrobatics.
26.
Um.
I don't know if I...
Okay.
No, that.
You have pure points, though.
Yeah, I'm gonna hear a point.
That one.
Pure points for days here, y'all.
Yeah.
Fans love you.
They want you to do well.
That was worse.
Um.
But it wasn't a...
So, no...
What happens if you critically fail?
I don't know.
I think...
I don't think it's that terrible.
No, there's no critical fail.
Okay.
Oh, okay.
You're good.
All right.
So, that was action number one.
Mm-hmm.
Uh.
Action number two.
Mm.
I am just gonna have to try it again.
I've got a free strike, so I might as well.
Um.
So, I'll try it one more time.
Sure.
Uh.
You can hero point that one, too.
I guess I could.
I saw the 14, but I guess it was actually a four.
Um.
Mm.
That sucks.
That's not cool.
Not cool, brah.
Do I save the hero points for when it would kill my ass?
Nah, we doing damage.
Do it up.
Are you fucking kidding?
Uh.
Yeah, okay.
Um.
Can I roll above a single digit?
No.
You were closer that time.
Um.
But still shy of the prize.
Okay.
Uh.
No panache for me.
That was two actions.
Um.
The funniest thing to do would be
to spend an action to do it again.
Try to get panache for next turn.
Well, because I do get a free strike.
Uh.
With haste.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's true.
That's true.
That's true.
Move.
Duh, duh.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Absolutely.
You could.
Yeah.
Um.
So, you know what?
I'll do it because it's fun at chat.
I'm going to do this one for you.
Let's see if you are down to zero hero points after this round.
I'm not sending another.
If I fail this one, I fail this one.
If you keep back flipping so much, you'll make a draft to make the smoke go away.
Smoke goes away.
Whee.
Yay.
That one's a 37.
Okay.
You do it.
Yeah.
You get panaches.
That one was for you, chat.
How many hero points did you spin, Odo?
Two.
Okay.
It's hard for me to hear sometimes.
It'll just be very like, like, Zara, you deaf bastard.
I can take him down.
Take him down, Zara.
Take him down.
Yeah, it's hard for me to hear it.
Oh, you're good.
Um, yeah, and then I'm going to hit his ass.
Sure.
Why not?
After a, uh, uh, uh, furious flurry of failed backflips.
So, before you do that, I need you to do one thing for me.
Sure, sure.
Roll concealment.
Concealment?
Ah!
Smoke.
Roll a d20.
Ooh.
For what?
Concealment.
Smoke.
You're good.
Okay, we're good.
Okay, now you can make your attack roll.
Now that we ate that 16, now you can give me, like, a four on the dice here.
Stop.
Stop.
Stop this.
Stop it.
Stop it.
Stop it.
Stop it.
Stop it.
Stop it.
Stop it.
Stop it.
Stop it.
Stop it.
Nine.
No.
Just shy of the prize.
You do have one hero point left, though.
You could reroll this attack.
Thurston, I'm going to explode.
Well, don't worry.
You might.
You might at this rate.
Thurston.
You know what?
No.
I'm keeping my panache.
And I'm just going to take this.
L and end my turn.
Okay.
One last thing.
Can you give me a reflex save?
Yeah.
You're in fire range of the fireball.
You're in his intense heat range.
Intense heat.
Okay.
Failure on the persistent damage.
That doesn't do anything because you take no damage from it.
Just give me this reflex save.
It dropped in chat.
Yeah, you're good.
Whoa.
I knocked over my water.
You haven't been affected by his aura, which is really good.
Okay.
Oren, you're up.
I have a question.
Yes.
So with the fog radius and everything, right?
That came from emanation from the little fog dudes, right?
Yeah.
How long does it last?
Does it require them to exist for it to last?
No.
It does not require them to exist.
Technically on the reaction, would it happen on Tannhauser's turn when he pretty much reacted to it?
That thing wouldn't exist at that time?
Okay.
Okay.
So a note, it does not require the guys to exist and the clouds remain for one minute.
I know what convention you're going to, Thurston.
Yeah, it's fair.
It's fair.
But I also know we got a whole boss fight, so get good, Scrub.
What are you doing?
I'm summoning a dragon.
Sure.
I'm standing up there on that.
I'm taking all the stuff.
Like, I'm getting another one.
Also, Jamie, don't be giving them, don't be giving the players fucking hero points.
You're supposed to be on my side.
The audience is on your side, Thurston, Mr. I'm eating villain points like popcorn out here.
Mr. I'm eating one.
Give me another one yet.
Thurston out here fucking eating star.
I summon forth a flame drake.
Oh, why?
Because it is immune to fire.
Good idea.
So is the god of fire.
No other dragons, I'm not going to use fire against it.
No other dragons had anything which was like water.
There's a water drape, it doesn't do anything water-based.
Just vomits.
Man, this setting is cringe.
I hate Pathfinder.
What do you mean a dragon can't just puke water onto people?
Like a sink.
Yeah, just vomit.
But I will tell you that will take all three of my turns.
But of course, that thing now gets to go, along with Gorgamonger and stuff.
We'll just resolve Gorgamonger real quick just to get him out of the way.
He will target the Ashen thing.
But then I attack, he just bites into it.
Or narrowly, he goes...
Need a quick moment here, actually.
I think one of you deleted me off the page.
Oh, no, no, no.
The second you said you hated Pathfinder, I just made you disappear from existence.
I'll bring you back.
There you go.
Oh, wow.
So good.
Bye.
This is your GM, guys.
I will cast upon Demagia.
That is 14 points of damage to the Ashen thingy.
It survives.
And for...
It is skill tangible.
And for the fling drink.
As it chills out inside.
I will basically have it do, because he gets a couple actions here.
I'll have it do Draconic Fury.
They make two fang strikes and one tel strike in any order.
Sure.
I'm going to have it target him and just go one fang to Lort.
He misses.
He does another fang attack.
I think pretty much like...
It takes two fang attacks in any order.
It's like...
I have no idea...
Oh, that's right.
It's basically getting you three attacks and two is what it's doing.
So minus attack penalty from the second fang attack.
Nothing there.
He's so fast.
I can miss faster.
He doesn't hit any of his attacks.
But now, he is there.
Alright.
Alright.
Oh, and Oren, on your turn, give me a...
Give me a reflex save for intense heat, please.
Natural one, Thurston.
He looks at him and just turns into a fireball.
No!
That's pretty good.
Ouch.
Yeah, you'll take 48 points of fire damage.
As your clothing starts to burst on fire just from being near him.
Be right back.
I'm going to reenact the Hindenburg disaster.
One sec.
Yeah.
Okay.
No!
No!
No!
No!
No!
No!
No!
No!
No!
No!
No!
No!
No!
No!
No!
That'll be the end of my turn.
Hinden, Hinden, Borgen.
Yeah.
Yeah, that will be the end of your turn.
Okay.
Uh, and for that, um, and yeah, so as you, as you were aflame, uh, this, uh, this complication
will be from I'm Grapes.
Um, as, as you're burning up, Oren, the only thing you hear is honks in the distance.
As you think you hear the dreaded honks of the clown army in the distance.
There's, there's clowns in the smoke!
He's in a suit and lightning.
Uh, you're in the frightened condition, excellence.
The clown army sent his regards.
Yeah.
The clown army sent their regards.
Oh, no.
Well, Lort's gonna go.
Huh.
Neat.
Um.
And Lort is going to use his powerful fire attack.
Well, I think the first thing he'll do is he'll spend one action to make another little
ashen buddy.
Then he'll spend his next action.
So have a depilate action?
Uh, you know, let's do one of these.
How do I do this?
I don't think I can do this in a way.
Well, actually, maybe.
I think I can.
Oh, boy.
There we go.
Uh, we're gonna, we're gonna cast a, uh, we're gonna, gonna cast hitting everyone but
Mr. Lort there.
Uh, we're gonna cast a...
Oh, he's in it.
Oh, I can, I can drop it so he's not.
I think.
Zoran, don't try to nickel and dime him.
He's going to kill us.
We're gonna do it right.
No, you're right.
We're gonna do it right on Reddit, it's gonna hate us.
You're right.
I don't think Reddit ever talks about us, really.
Reddit already hates us.
We have a woman.
Jesus Christ.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Zing, uh, um, yeah, you're right, I can't hit all of you, so I will just hit everyone
who's not Veena, because it's funny.
Uh, let's have an effect again.
Hey, hey, I really love the idea that the, the giant plume of fire that's presumably coming
out of the ground and coming with the sound of something vomiting it out just goes in reverse
like it's, like it's getting acid reflux.
Uh, please, uh, the drake, Ruhua, and Oren, give me, uh, give, give me that fortitude save
that's listed there.
Okay.
This is for the drake, I think.
Let me make sure it works.
I'm going to re-roll that.
Yep, sure.
Drake has failed.
You make hero heroic point it.
Whew, better.
There you go.
Uh, Oren got a 29 and succeeds.
I'm going to get Ruhua's button down.
32 for mine, it succeeds.
Second.
So I only do 20 damage, so the drake will take 20.
And then the, the two of you will take half.
So you'll both take 10.
And on a failure, the drake is now sickened to one.
Which I'm sure will just be great for the drake.
Who is it?
Oh, that's fine.
Creature.
Uh, and that is Mr. Elort as he just waves his cane and the ground explodes in a spiritual
flaming blast, um, that causes the drake to sort of wither and shake around.
Uh, and as he does this with his free hand, he waves out with his cane, which creates an
ashen simulacrum.
All right.
Um, Ruhua, you're up.
A wooden guy.
Okay.
And is the smoke cloud a spell effect, Thurston?
Uh, no.
Okay.
Good to know that the god has said no.
Uh, all right.
Ruhua, we'll take the opportunity to look at Oren, singed but still breathing, and send
a gout of healing energy into him past one of my healings.
Cool.
Dankster's Paradise Plays.
Oh!
Yeah.
Live, you fool!
Ah!
The clowns!
And you're going to get 54 points of healing.
How many actions did you take for that?
Oh, then I heal Ruhua.
Yeah, heal Ruhua.
I get healed twice.
Oh.
I remember how much I had.
Okay.
Wait.
Do I?
You were pretty much healed up.
There we go.
I got it.
I got it.
Thank you.
All right.
That's it.
Uh, I will.
Eh.
Yeah, I'll say that.
I feel like I might need to do that.
Uh.
Good luck, buddy!
Andrew is going to fucking just stand right there.
Okay.
Or move.
Okay, you can move.
We're at every position.
All right, Baldrick, you're up.
All right, Baldrick, you're up.
Uh, Baldrick is going to move up one, and he's going to swing at this ashen thing as he's
moving up.
Get ready for the best rolls you've ever seen for a powerful melee combatant.
Let's see it.
Like Baldrick.
I don't know why it insists that I don't have my club drawn.
I hate that.
Just swing.
All right.
And then I strike him.
What is this?
Thrown.
No, I'm not throwing this.
That'd be silly.
I attack with my stick.
Hold on, crit-
I hit a critical hit.
Nice!
All right, I critically strike him for an immense void.
You guys are ready for this amazing critical hit?
Here we go.
Twelve!
Whack!
It's still up.
That's great.
And now, Thurston, so you said, you just confirmed with Hulky, right, that this cloud is not magical
in nature, yes?
Correct.
Correct.
So what I'd like to do is, with a frost vial, now I will let you demand that I spend a hero
point on this if you would like me to, but I would like to use my knowledge of thermodynamics
to throw the frost bomb at the top of the cloud and thus reduce the temperature causing
the smoke to fall.
Yeah, okay, sure.
What will you make me do for that?
Just a regular attack?
Yeah, make an attack roll.
And I would target- just target- keep the- keep the- the dude- the Ashen Simulacrum targeted.
We'll use that as a baseline.
Not a good AC, I take it?
No.
Now, questions are you going to make me map for this one, even though I'm throwing it
at a cloud?
Yes.
Okay.
Because it is still a second attack.
Okay.
I am throwing it at the cloud.
Nineteen.
It'll hit.
Uh, give me damage.
Okay.
I damage the cloud of cold.
For 12 damage.
Plus 4, so 16 action.
And you can mark yourself- mark- mark him down a hero point, please.
Taking away one-
And that will disperse the cloud there.
Oh.
That's really good.
Whew.
And then he'll just re-up it on his turn, but, you know, I'm kind of at the top of the
order, so just do something with it.
I end my turn.
Okay, Tannhuzer, you're up.
Okay.
Um.
Closer to your mic, please.
Okay.
This guy.
This guy.
I'm gonna casually walk up to the lord.
Yep.
And I think I'm going to do something about this unfathomable madman.
Um, and so I'm going to, uh, go stop, hold the light over here.
Did you have an extra five feet of movement?
Yes, I do.
From, uh, left of your shadow, right?
Do you want to flank?
Oh!
That would be even better.
I got you.
You're a real one.
I know.
Um, okay, cool.
Uh, I am just going to, uh, true strike.
And I'm then going to dispel weapon.
Uh, since it was divination, you'll be getting an additional 1d6 mental damage, should I hit.
And I'm going to prep a fourth level shocking grasp spell strike.
Ooh!
Ooh?
So let's try and do something about this guy.
There he is.
Blast him.
All right, cool.
I hit.
I get to roll again and see if I get a better result.
Yep.
I don't, so I will take my hit.
Mm-hmm.
All right.
So this is just the normal weapon damage.
It's 12.
And now for the level four, uh, shocking grasp, it is going to be, let's see, um, 5d12.
Do it up.
Plus 1d6.
Let's rock.
So that's 38.
Not bad, not bad.
And so I'll, uh, launch forward this electrical blade strike.
And I'll pass the turn.
I will react.
That's allowed.
I will create another action simulacrum.
More.
I'm free of damage that I haven't been taking at all.
Okay.
As another one pops up by you, Oren and Tenhuzer.
Vina, your girl.
Okay.
Um, so I've got flank going with my friends here.
I've got my panache.
So I'm just going to open up by, uh, stabbing him in the back.
Okay.
So.
Let's give it a shot.
A hit.
Not critically, unfortunately.
Isn't that so sad?
That is really sad.
It's not applying to things unless a 40 would do it.
Um, wait.
I would tell, well.
Is your weapon out?
Yeah, your, your, your weapon out.
Let's have a staff out.
Yeah.
Okay.
So you, but you're, okay.
And your intent would be to be in reach of him.
Okay.
Cool.
Uh, would that be.
So that'll crit.
That'll crit.
Oh, that'll crit.
Yippee!
Okay.
Okay.
We take those.
We take those.
Nice.
Let's give that a shot.
Uh, I'll give you 57 points of damage unless he takes reduced cold,
which he probably does.
Or he takes more cold.
So he takes 67.
Cool.
Nice.
He's a god of fire after all.
Get that panache out of here.
Um, so that was my first action.
Second action, I'm going to, uh, do a little tumbling.
I am so, I, I can't tumble today.
I want to, I want to, I want to, I want to hear a point for a backflip there.
Come on, got a hero point.
Got three hero points.
Come on, give me three.
I want to hear a point.
Don't succumb to peer pressure.
You got three hero points.
You got three of them.
Chat's been very generous.
We can just, we can just say.
Come on, don't you want to spend your hero point, Vina?
You don't want to.
We can just say.
Don't you want to gamble?
Don't you want to.
Don't you want to.
Don't you want to.
We can just say that her lungs were too full of delicious tobacco smoke to do anything about it.
So true.
Just remember also though, if fans are giving you more hero points right now, they won't go above three.
So really, you're just kind of like denying them the ability to give you more hero points.
I mean, for the people.
All right.
I'll reroll it.
Yeah.
For the people.
For the people!
For the people!
For the people!
For the people!
34!
Because we're being so spendthrift with our hero points, I narratively declare that Oren's clothes were made of hemp.
Ah!
Oh.
He's very high now.
Yes.
He still sees clowns after the field.
No, you see them more.
What do you mean?
He always sees clowns.
Nightmare, nightmare, nightmare.
He finds out you've been the clowns the entire time.
That's right, Rahua.
You're made of wood.
The boss fight wasn't Uncle Blaze.
It was Oren the whole time.
Well, hold on.
Hold on, Erndel.
Rahua's made of wood, star stuff, and metal.
So don't forget, I'm very vulnerable to fire.
Mostly wood, but yes.
Yeah.
Okay, so I've got Panache.
I'm going to use another action to, I'll hit him in a minus five.
Okay.
And I'll do my best.
I whiff that one.
I hear a point.
I don't think it's worth it for a multiple attack penalty.
He's probably fast as fuck.
And then, for my final action.
Oh, give me a save, by the way, because you are in his intensity.
Oh, yeah.
His hot boy aura.
Hot boy.
Hot boy.
Hotcher aura.
Technically, Tannhauser would have to do that.
Hot boy summer.
Oh, yeah.
You'll fail that.
Okay.
So if you can click on that, save two, Tannhauser.
I'll do these separately, though.
You got it.
Because he's hot.
He's hot.
He is quite hot.
Both fails.
Do any of you want to re-roll those?
You've got here.
Yeah.
I'm good.
I'm good.
I want to re-roll it.
Okay.
Tannhauser re-rolls.
Success!
Yes.
So you'll take half of this.
All right.
So, one sec.
So, for Tannhauser, it's going to be half of this.
Let's see if it matters.
I will.
So you'll take...
No, it actually won't, because half then.
And then for Veena, this will be straight minus 10.
So, 13.
13.
Okay.
Could be worse.
Yep.
Okay.
Okay.
And so, let's see.
I struck, tumbled, struck.
Struck again.
And then I get a free strike now.
And then I get a free strike.
I might as well make it.
Yep.
Risk it for the biscuit.
It's a map minus 10.
Ha!
Ha!
I whiff.
Yeah, sorry.
I expected as much.
All right.
And that'll be my turn.
I'll end it with panache, so I take those.
Oren, you're up.
All right.
It's time for my ultimate move.
Oh, oh, shit.
Roll that recovery.
You're actually going to take two points from that, Veena.
Oh, baby.
Two damage?
I fail.
Still there.
You're still on fire.
Cool.
Oren's bad.
Oren's going away.
Over.
Over this way.
Okay.
Give me a four to two.
Or give me a reflex aid before you move, though.
Because you did still start in his order.
Wait, I need to take two damage.
So, it's only four now.
That is a fail.
Would you like to re-roll that with a hero point?
Okay.
I will roll the John DiMaggio for that.
The clowns are hindering him.
The clowns.
I'll take 21 points.
The clowns are grabbing his legs.
They're on fire now.
Ah!
Hello, Oren.
We're going to make sure that you burn.
No!
I want to become a chicken nugget.
It's very hot in hell.
Won't you come down and join us for a roast?
He just freaks out.
The celebrity roast of Oren.
The bird.
Fucking stupid.
So, basically, his actions are off-seat.
First action is to maintain the summon.
Second action, to move.
Third action, he's going to command Gorgamonger.
Yep.
Just so he can get two actions.
And Oren has flown up to 15 feet up into the air, wherever he's at.
And so now we will resolve Gorgamonger's stuff, which he will target the Simulacrum.
In which he will attack twice.
One with the jaws.
Jaws of death.
He gets a crit.
That's a vote.
And then he will now do damage.
I do the wrong damage.
Ignore that.
That's the wrong one.
I'm going to click the crit button.
There we go.
Hang on.
I have to reload the page because the four is jittering against the D20 and my page is locked up.
It's dead.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
I actually have to reload the page.
Hang on.
That's really funny.
The dice broke.
That's the one action.
I'm going to have Gorgamonger basically position himself.
He doesn't want to group up.
So he's going to basically stay down here a little bit.
Just going to keep this area secure.
As for the dragon summon, he is going to...
Let's see.
Tannhouser, you're going to have to figure life out, I feel, without a flank as I get rid of this thing.
That'll be fine.
Or instead, I can go help Baldrick.
I'm not in any danger at the moment.
Yeah, the thing, he'll just teleport to where you are and get away from everybody else.
That's fine.
Then I can pelt him in the face three times with a nice ball.
Yeah, and I'd rather you be safe doing that.
So I have two options, which is either go get the one that's near us and he'll react and teleport to you whenever he gets attacked at some point.
Or keep where he is, where everyone then suffers with another AoE.
So since we already have him where we want him and everyone's doing damage, and I want you to lay damage on him as much as possible and help out with other stuff.
I'm going to have the Dargon, who has two actions, which he should be able to do a speed search, which allows him to move up to twice its speed.
So he goes whoosh right over.
You go twice its speed for one turn, which I'm going to put him here at the edge over who is thing.
Is your thing still in the field, or?
My what?
Oh yeah, his spell's still there.
Okay, so he'll come there.
He won't get a flanking bonus from this, but the dragon will then land, and he will try to get a little fang attack.
Just go meh.
He hits for 25 and does 13 points of damage, one of it fire.
Kills that simulacrum.
Good.
And that will be the end of Oren's turn.
Okay, Mr. Alert is going to go.
Okay.
Um, I think.
I think, I think, I think.
I'm going to five foot step to here.
I am going to target Rahua.
Oh.
And Dania Lort walks, steps back from Tannhauser.
Um, looks at you, Rahua, as, as like, the skin continues to slough off his face.
The flames intensifying.
You can see there's almost like a lamb and fire burning up inside of him.
And you, the worst to them all.
Why are you even here?
And he throws a gout of flame at you, Rahua.
Well, oh no.
Oh no.
That'll be, that'll be a crit.
Rahua's dead.
Oh no.
I, I just, I want to point out, by the way,
Alert's hat reminds me a lot of JK from Jamiroquist.
I'm imagining these critical hits are him doing that pose from Virtual Insanity,
where he's rushing towards Rahua.
Um, and then for his next move, so, step, throw fire, and his next move is to create
an Ashen Simulacrum directly underneath Auron.
There you go.
And that will be, uh, Lort's go, as he could, like, just, has this vitriolic anger at Rahua now.
Um, and Rahua, you're going to start your turn in this aura,
so can you please begin the turn by giving me a reflex save?
Oh, not him.
Uh, there we go.
I put it in chat.
Cleric reflex saves, they're fine.
Yeah.
They're not fine.
They're the worst.
Would you like to re-roll that?
I would love to re-roll that for you.
Please, please.
Please dodge Mr. Lort's command grab.
Wow.
Oh, and fails at the 26th.
On the second condition, baby, shoulda wrenched twice.
Okay.
Um, no, Rahua, you can't tech those.
It's a command grab.
Holy shit.
Oh.
Holy shit.
Okay.
That was two off from max fucking damage.
Hello?
Uh, take 34 points of fire.
Um.
Here we go, Doc.
Wow.
Thank you for that.
Hold on.
I was not budgeting on using all of my actions to not die.
Okay.
We're always just standing there, smoking.
He just opens his mouth, just with a...
Pah!
Hickory.
Wow.
That fucking hurts.
I think even I don't know why I'm here besides killing you, you fucking idiot.
Uh, I'm gonna...
You're gonna what?
I'm gonna cast heal.
Okay.
I'm not gonna target a Lort, in fact.
I'm gonna heal myself.
Oh, good.
I'm gonna heal you so you can suffer more!
Don't worry.
Don't worry.
I'm...
I'll be okay.
It's gonna be alright.
Alright.
Alright.
I don't...
Okay.
Oh, we're...
You're gonna...
Gonna heal yourself there?
Click that heal?
I am.
I'm gonna...
Okay.
He's smoking.
Two action, one you want to do.
You don't...
You shouldn't be doing that.
Just, uh...
Yeah, it's like two action.
There we go.
Yeah, you selected the damage version.
Well, how?
How did I manage this?
You probably clicked on accident.
Because you are Hulky Crow.
45 points of healing, baby.
I got you.
Alright.
And then I'm gonna do myself a favor.
And I'm going to further draw upon the Tides of Entropy.
Yeah.
With a...
Beautiful Scarlet Aura.
And touch my chest to activate Vital Beacon for the first time.
Sure.
I will get...
Another 24 points back.
Vital Beacon.
Vital Beacon.
And I'm in the turret.
Okay.
At the...
Click end of...
End your turn, Rahula?
On five steps.
Oh, weird.
Weird.
There we go.
Can you please roll the recovery?
Yeah, absolutely.
Wow, 18.
Well, yeah, because it crit.
Are you fucking...
Why?
Why all these fucking...
Flat checks, luckily flat checks don't penalize you.
But you will take 18 points of fire damage from the person.
Feast or famine.
All right, Baldrick, you're up.
I have great news for you, Rahula.
You are just in range enough for me to actually hit you with something that's useful.
I would like to throw a Vindicator's Mist at him.
Okay.
Well, see, I just thought you were going to throw an Alchemist's Fire at me.
No, that'd be silly.
You haven't done anything to deserve it yet.
Yet.
That'll be a critical hit.
Yeah, you can't crit on the heal, but you hit him.
I narratively declare I can't.
That'd be cool if you could.
It would be, but no.
Thirsten, I narratively declare that I can critically hit.
Cool, that'll cost two hero points.
Sure, take him.
Okay, sure.
Critically hit on a natural 21.
All right, here we go.
Whoa.
46 hit points of healing.
Thank you for the juice.
You've been juiced.
Juice him.
You've been squeezed.
How do I heal that?
It only damages him.
Can you heal him?
I'll get it.
Thank you.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
I can only hurt him.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Because it's a custom item, so it's a bit weird.
No, I know.
It's magic.
Gotcha.
And with the next bit of it, I'm going to move...
Can I still hit the phone?
I'm just going to move to, like, there on the perimeter with one of my moves.
And then, with a funny ice ball available to me, I'm going to throw it at that dude.
All right.
Minus five.
Five.
Yep.
Got to put it away and redraw it there.
Yeah.
There we go.
Go.
That'll just...
How did that just miss?
Yeah, just miss.
Fine by me.
All right.
He will still take the splash.
Yes.
So roll damage.
Just click damage and I'll apply the splash.
Die.
So that'll be five...
Fourteen.
Because of his weakness.
That's right.
Yeah.
All right.
I think I packed all these delicious sandwiches.
Tanhezer, you're up.
Okay.
So I've been thinking about other things I could do than just shocking grasping him.
But I'm imagining that my wand of fireballs is not going to come in very great utility right now.
I don't know about that one.
Yeah.
I don't know about that one.
So I think maybe, I don't want to say anything too crazy, but what I'm thinking is, I walk up to him.
Yep.
Mm-hmm.
I target him.
Yep.
I spell strike a shocking grasp.
How do you feel about that, guys?
So does your solid move?
All right.
Well, let's do it.
Let's see how it goes for us.
I will hit.
Nice.
Very good.
Let's roll some blamage.
For ten.
And this is just going to be a level one shocking grasp.
Oh, five damage, boys.
All reliable.
Oh, hit him.
I'm going to react to that.
That's allowed, I suppose.
Yeah, I'm just going to drop an action simulacrum right there.
Let's see.
I'm out of action.
You're so chewy.
It's all fun and games until all of these are a fireball.
I'm just glad to be a service gang.
I end the turn.
Vina, you're up.
Yay!
Okay.
Oh, sorry.
Reflex save from Tanhezer.
We'll do Vina at the same time here.
Oh, yeah.
You guys are too close.
Cora?
Yep.
We're melee fighters.
You're too close, Seamus.
Oh.
Cool.
Good.
Success.
And you'll take half of this.
So unless I roll more than a 20, you'll be fine, Tanhezer.
I take one.
One.
There you go.
Cool.
All right.
Vina, you're up.
Okay.
Um, well, he moved five feet away, and that ruins my whole action economy.
Um, so I'm going to...
I've already got panache, so I'm going to flank here with my good friend, Tanhezer, for
my first action.
Second action, I'm going to hit his ass.
Okay.
Would you like to, uh, would you like to hero point that, my friend?
Why not?
Sure.
Why not?
Hey!
Hey!
Sometimes it works out.
I was about to say, there's only really a 5% chance of that being worse.
All right.
We take those.
All right.
Okay, okay.
74.
74 points of damage.
How much?
Vinyalort takes 84 because he is weak to ice.
Several things now happen.
Oh, boy.
Hold on, Thurston.
Wait, hold on.
Hold on, Thurston.
Yep.
Let her enjoy it.
I just...
Oh, wait.
Hold on.
The skull implies some things.
All right.
Please continue.
How crazy would it be if he just surrendered?
Yeah, we should add him to the people's tenement.
That's a great idea.
I agree.
We should.
Thank you so much for agreeing, Baldrick.
Anthrax!
Um, okay.
Oh, okay.
So, um, a couple things happen.
And it's really funny you mentioned the exploding simulacrums.
Oh.
So, um, because now each one of these simulacrums, um, explodes.
Hell yeah.
So, that's going to be fun.
So, let's do this.
Let's do this.
Um, ooh.
Okay.
So, good.
Good, good, good, good, good.
I think not many of you are going to be in multiples, which is very good.
Uh, in fact, uh, I think the only one of you that's in a multiple is Tannhauser.
So, that's, that's really good, in fact.
Um, you should have a reflex save.
I'd like you to click on those, please.
Um, everyone do one of them.
I do not see theirs.
Should be in that.
I found it.
Okay.
We're good.
We're good.
Oh.
Oren's going to hero point his, because he rolled a 20.
Are you going to hero point that one?
Critical failure because of Sickened?
Did you roll a nat one, Oren?
Or?
No, I didn't.
No, you rolled a four.
Okay.
I did.
Oh.
Am I?
Okay.
And I'm not allowed to re-roll that, am I?
No, you're not.
You get.
And you have to give me a second one.
Oh, wait.
Uh, actually, no.
You might be.
I didn't really help me.
No, you are.
Roll 23.
Yeah, yeah.
It's only the one.
It's only the one you had to do Tannhauser.
Okay, Rahua is, now you just fail by one.
I hate Sickened.
Ooh.
I fucking hate that.
I hate that condition.
I mean, better than a crit fail.
Better than a crit fail.
That's true.
So, uh, let me roll some damage here.
Oh, yeah.
So, I'm just going to roll it once for everybody.
Um, this will be doubled to Tannhauser.
Vina will take none.
Baldrick will take half.
And the rest of you will take full for this.
I can cover, guys.
Oh, boy.
Oh, boy.
That's not too bad.
Okay.
Nope.
Okay.
So, you will take double this.
Tannhauser.
But, minus 10.
A modest 56.
Modest 56.
A modest half your health.
Vina, you will take none.
Uh, you will take full damage.
Orin will take full damage.
And Baldrick takes half damage.
Hell yeah.
Okay.
At this point, all of the action simulacrums are gone.
Orin moves aside a little bit so he can be deleted.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Um, and then...
The skin completely sloughs off Mr. Lort, as he is replaced by something wholly different.
Um, you see that he now is burning from the inside.
Um, and looks as though his own body is being, like, completely consumed from within.
Um, at this point...
Oh, wait.
Not that.
What?
We just...
Hold on.
That should not be the case.
Oh, this is...
Uh-oh.
It's promising.
Uh-oh.
Hilfbar.
Yeah, let me just change that, though.
It's the wrong name.
There we go.
All right.
And, uh...
With that, um, as this occurs and the intensity of the flames begins to pile on here, um, I need everyone to give me a perception check.
Absolutely.
Okay.
I'm pretty close to him.
Granted, I probably just did get flashbanged.
I'm at 21.
Yeah, that's a, uh, uh...
That's a 25 for me.
Oh, I got a 23.
21!
That's blackjack.
It's loading.
I clicked it, but it's...
Oh, wait.
It's not letting me re-roll my initiative, actually.
Yeah, it shouldn't be for initiative.
It should just be a raw perception check.
Ah, raw perception.
Yeah.
That's why.
I was perplexed there for a second.
Nope, you're good.
Um, wow.
So far, Vina.
Okay.
Um, Vina, you noticed something.
All right, I am very close.
You are.
The wind has stopped.
There is no motion in the air.
And a split second later,
the ground begins to crack and break and split apart.
Leaving rents that form a vast flaming sigil in the ground.
Oh.
And, uh, how about we take our break here?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm gonna go get us back.
I don't want to suffer, Thurston.
I don't know if we have a choice.
Who knows?
Uh, Vina, click that roll recovery check for me.
We're gonna carry on right back to you, Oren.
You get to suffer first.
No!
Success!
Very good.
Well, since it's my turn,
and I no longer have to worry about all the things,
because I was sitting here like,
why did you have to hit so hard?
I was gonna start killing all of them.
Why could you have critted later?
Sorry.
No, you did great.
Yeah.
So, hmm.
Tannhauser needs help.
Everybody needs help.
Everyone needs a little love in their life.
That's true.
True.
Word.
So, the one thing I need to triple check
with Healing Servitor
is make sure it goes for allies.
And it does help to do allies,
so I'm not gonna heal him on accident.
So.
Well, except,
when he explodes,
it's all willing creatures
that get healed this much.
Makes an interesting music.
So, what Oren will do?
He should be in relative range of Tannhauser.
He is.
He is going to spend
one action
to basically sustain
the Dargon.
Because he's being the fire
and it works out.
And he's gonna spend
his two other actions
to heal Tannhauser.
Okay.
He is going to use
a fourth rank one.
Ooh.
Please forgive me.
Get all that rolling healing.
And Oren heals him
for a total of
61.
Sorry if the dice
got out of the frame.
Had to make some adjustments
and it didn't go as well.
So, sorry if you missed
any dice there,
fellow viewers.
So.
I am rejuvenated.
He will do that.
Goromonger will stay to the side
because he knows
he's not going to really survive
being set aflame constantly
by going into melee.
But
the fire dragons
are beyond the flame.
And he'll
just flap on over.
He is going to
what is this thing?
Speed, actually.
If I can find this thing
it's 20.
Fly is 50.
So he can just fly over.
So he'll just fly right over him.
Get on the other side
in case
Rahua wants to flank.
And so
Flamedrake
will go over to this side
and he will attack
with his face.
I'll react.
Okay.
With what?
Reactive strike.
Okay.
Oh.
Oh.
Arm.
You targeted Rahua.
Oh, I did.
So it's probably
way better
against this thing.
It'll still crit.
Just want you to know.
It'll crit.
It'll crit by
by 18
instead of 13.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
What is a super crit?
Ouch.
Ah.
Find out
how much
of this is fire.
All of it's fire.
Yeah.
So he's immune.
Yeah.
All right, cool.
I'm going to hit him.
Holy crap.
Uncle Blaze
is really out here
looking at the
fire breathing dragon
and be like,
and to show
my true power.
I shall burn
this fire dragon.
Oh.
Well,
I think that
that goes
to show
some things.
However,
don't make your attack
with your little drake.
You should have killed
someone.
He's going to miss.
Go ahead.
Go ahead.
Go ahead.
No,
no,
no.
I was just going to say
I think he's about
to kill someone.
Erndale.
I'm fine.
Earn kill.
I'm fine.
Kill.
Thurston's going to
fucking kill me.
Okay.
I need all of your
power on this
one roll.
Chad,
I need you to
type something
that you
say that you
believe in me.
This thing's only
got a plus 13
to hit.
Knowing Thurston,
this thing's got
50 AC.
I need a natural
20.
I need a natural
20.
Go ahead.
I just need
you.
Okay.
Yeah,
I believe in him.
I need you on
this one.
Okay.
Okay.
Do it up.
We're going to
roll in five,
four,
three,
two.
No.
I'm going to
hear a point.
I'm going to
hear a point.
I'm going to
hear a point.
The lucky thing
is we know that
an eight won't
hit.
Yep.
I got three
hero points.
Thanks to chat.
I got to do it
because chat
believes in me.
I believe.
I believe in
you.
All right.
All right.
Let's do it.
And he re-rolls
and he still
misses.
We also know
that a 10
will not hit.
So 23
will not hit.
Yep.
Okay.
And Crooked
Runner move.
That's the end
of my turn.
The bar is
going up.
Hmm.
All right.
Alert goes.
Does he have
to?
Yes.
And there's
like this burning
coming from
inside his
mouth as
flames come
out from
charred
blackened
teeth.
She protects
you.
But how
long can
it last?
And she
will, or
sorry,
Denis
Allure to
the Avatar
of Flame
will put all
of his
efforts onto
Tanhauser.
Oh, I'm
so thrilled to
hear that.
Yeah, he'll
start with an
attack.
It's a seven.
That will be
a hit.
You have your
shield, so you
could just,
you know.
No, I
don't.
I mean, I
have my, I
have my element
shield, so.
Yeah, yeah,
that's what I'm
saying.
Your shield.
I'll only
take 90 to
38.
Okay.
Could be
worse.
Could be
worse.
It's still
good.
Fire, or
should be.
No.
And then for
the next thing,
we'll attack you
again with a
map.
I will
miss, because
I rolled a
two, so I
will spend a
villain point
on that.
You did
this, chat.
We'll hit.
Not the
best, but
it'll do.
So,
45, so
another 35.
And then for
his last
action, he
will do
this, an
apocalypse flame.
He will
create a
30-foot
burst right
there.
Why does it
have a two-action
thing and then a
one-action thing?
It should have
one action.
It's a mistake
there.
Ignore that.
Wrong icon.
Because this
fight is unfair.
And I
need you all
to click on
that reflex
save.
If you are
in his aura
of intense
flame, so
basically everyone
who's not
Baldrick or
Auron, you
take a minus
one circumstance.
If you are
in there and
are also
persistently on
fire like
Rahua, you
take a minus
two circumstance.
Oh, excellent.
Yeah.
Oh.
Got it.
So I am
rolling, yeah.
Oh, so would
I have still
succeeded on a
29?
You would
succeed just
because it's
not the
number.
Oh, fail.
I'll have to
take the
failure.
Um, I
will hero
point mine.
We're only
going to 32.
Oh, 20.
Okay.
All I need
is added a
minus three.
Okay.
Okay.
There we go.
There we go.
There we go.
There's our
natural 20 for
Veena.
There's our
20 quota
down.
Okay.
Did anyone
want hero
playing on
those except
Veena?
Uh, no.
No, okay.
Just Veena.
Um, all
right, so
I'm just
going to roll
this.
I will take
the hurt.
Oh, wow.
I rolled
shit, but
okay.
So damage
to Baldrick
and then I
think only
Tanhauser is
the only other
one who will
take half
of this.
Minus
10.
Which will
also set
you on
fire.
I'm going
to do a
self-roll
for something
here.
Love it.
Torrin also
succeeded.
Yeah.
Uh, did
you?
Oh, yeah,
that's right.
You, you
did not.
Uh, yeah,
okay, cool.
Already had
second Dawn,
so.
Yeah, yeah,
yeah, so
you'll just
take the
half.
Cool.
All right.
And, um,
that is
it for
his go.
People are,
people are
going nuts
and about
to cause
a hype
train.
We just
had a level
eight hype
train.
That's
very funny.
That's
lovely.
Thank you.
Holy crap.
Thank you for
your generosity.
You're gonna
need it.
Hello.
Oh, boy.
Huh.
Fun.
Okay.
We're not
down yet,
gang.
We're not
down yet,
gang.
Uh,
quick question.
Yeah.
Or if
you're
gonna start
your turn
in his
aura,
so you'll
have to
start with
a save
on that.
Oh,
heck.
Yeah.
I'll put
the new
save in
because it's
worse now.
Oh,
there you
go.
Waiting
to see.
It hasn't
popped up
yet.
Oh,
sorry.
Uh,
my bad.
There you go.
Okay.
My famous
high reflexes.
Yeah.
Yippee.
It's fine.
Yeah.
23.
Cool.
That's just
a regular
fail.
That's not
too bad.
Okay.
Haha.
That's a lot
of dice.
Oh,
okay.
25 more.
Okay,
okay.
All right,
now you can
go.
Hey,
Oren,
do you think
you'll live
long enough
to heal
Townhouser?
Hmm.
No.
No.
Yes,
because there's
nothing the
Lord can do
until it's
my turn.
Besides hurt
Townhouser
with his
bullshit aura.
So,
I'll,
as long as
Townhouser
doesn't
critically fail
his reflex
save.
Yeah,
even if I do,
I'm taking
reduced damage,
but I,
I do,
I need
serum.
Get me
serum.
Yeah,
because I can
get you
serum.
Remember,
you all have
potions.
We do.
It's true.
It is true.
I can get
you serum
or I can
get you,
or I can
make him
sticky.
In the
metaphorical
sense.
I need
healing.
Because I
can't.
Rinoa?
So,
you're
fucking
tackling.
So,
I have
choices
just to
kind of
help
your
I
could
either
do
my
summoning
friend
again,
which means
I'm going
to lose
the dragon,
which the
dragon really
hasn't really
done much
anyway,
except just
survive and
take hits.
Or,
or basically
what I'm
planning to
do is
basically
two
action
heal
to
an
Houser.
I get
you.
That's
basically
all I
can.
And then
I was
going to
battlefield
medicine
myself.
I see.
I see.
I can
two
action
heal.
Do you
think
collectively
we would
benefit more
from the
servitor?
I don't
want a
meta game,
but it'll
do 20
temporary
HP and
then whatever
the hell
it heals.
Like,
it'll be a
lot of
healing,
but it's
spread out.
So,
I get
you.
So,
for you,
you already
have
beacon on
yourself,
right?
I do
have
vital
beacon
up.
I
can
interact
for that.
I have
three more.
It's a
D8 or
48 next.
Okay,
so,
you know,
you know,
what I'm
doing?
So,
I'm going to
leave it up to
you at this
part because I
don't want to
play your
turn.
We've been
talking too
much already.
So,
by all
means,
at this
point,
you now
know what's
happening,
at least.
I've got
an idea.
I definitely
have an
idea.
I'm
going to
target
Mr.
Alert,
and I'm
going to
try this.
Please,
God.
What are you
going to do?
I'm going to
cast slow.
Ooh,
I like it.
Ooh.
All right.
All right.
I will
succeed,
so I'm
slowed one.
Slowed one.
Yeah,
for one round.
Yep.
For those who
don't know what
slow does,
you have fewer
actions.
Slowed always
includes a value
when you gain
your actions
or just the
number of
actions gained
by your
slowed value.
Basically,
instead of
two actions,
he has,
instead of
three actions,
he has two.
Now,
I have a
bad,
bad piece
of news for
you.
Uh-oh.
Uh-huh.
And I'm
not going
to feel
guilty about
this.
Uh-huh.
It's going
to reactive
strike.
Am I
within range
of him?
Ten foot
reach.
His flame
extends out.
Of course
it does.
As fire
is wont
to do,
I suppose.
Ow!
Then you
hit
Tanhauser
again.
No,
I did.
I don't
know why,
but you
know what?
Mark me
down a
villain point.
I'm not
happy with
rolling a
two.
I want
to crit
him.
Wow!
Fuck you,
Thurston.
That'll crit
him.
All right.
Goodbye.
Damn.
Damn.
Okay.
Damn.
Okay.
Yeah,
I'm down.
Okay.
This will
prop one of
his other
abilities.
Uh-huh.
It will.
anyone who
is reduced
to zero
hit points
increases
their dying
condition by
one.
You're
dying
too.
Awesome.
Troublesome.
We need
to get him
on his
feet.
You will
now go
before him
in the
initiative
order.
Let's move
him under
you.
Oh,
Oh,
wait.
No,
because then
you'll take
the persistent
burning and
then you'll
be dying
three.
Yeah,
I'm one
of us is
going to
have to
spend an
action.
Boy,
do I have
some great
news for
you about
having healing
capabilities.
Correct.
And also
being next.
Dying
three in
Baldrick.
It is
sure a
good thing
that I have
11 of these
things picked
up.
That's good.
Nice.
Thurston,
I'm going to
stand my
ground like
like Tom
Petty from
you ever
heard Tom
Petty?
He's a great
he's a great
allegedly.
Chad's right.
That actually
just kills
Rahua.
My bad.
What?
Oh,
because it
was a crit.
His ability
increases it
by one.
So,
but no,
I have a four
because I
have a trade
for that.
There you go.
All right.
You're still in
it to win it.
You got one
left,
dog.
I don't
hear no
bell.
All right.
We're going to
wag my finger
at chat for
almost jamming
me.
No question.
Do you have
to do the
hero point
thing on
your turn
or whenever?
It's technically
on your turn,
but it.
So if all
the reaction
stuff happened
and Rahua
went down,
Rahua,
it would be
Rahua's turn.
So you could
do a hero point
to go back,
get back to
normal.
Yeah,
I'd have to
check the
timing on that.
But I think
I'll check that.
He's Baldrick.
You're a go.
Yeah,
may I spend my
turn to get him
back up on his
feet using my
powerful healing
magics?
And by that,
I mean throwing a
bottle at him
repeatedly.
Yes,
you can throw a
bottle at him
over his head.
I'm going to
draw Vindicator's
Mist and I'm
going to throw
this as many
times as I can
at Rahua.
Which is to
say three.
One.
Oh,
it's any time
your dying
condition would
increase.
So when the
persistent damage
you could spend
your hero point
and knock it
all down.
So give me a
moment,
please.
I'm going to
before you go
throwing more
rules at people
on my turn.
Well,
I'm trying to
resolve the
hero point.
Yeah,
fine.
I'm going to
reroll that using
a hero point
because it was a
three.
Not very
interesting.
Now try it
again.
Five will hit
because thankfully
he's off guard
and unconscious.
so so here's
the here's
the thing.
During your
turn,
Rahua,
you could spend
all of your
hero points
to remove
your dying
condition entirely
and stabilize
at zero
hit points.
I think I'm
just going to
have to do
that.
Yep.
Smoked
instantly.
And then you
will get
you'll be
unconscious,
but then you
will now get
smoked by this.
You can roll
the healing
here,
Baldrick.
About to
say,
you're making
it sound like
I shouldn't
heal him.
No,
you should.
It's still
going to
work.
Yeah,
you want to.
No,
you're just
confusing me.
You're confusing
me in the
midst of my
turn.
I'm trying to
finish up
Rahua's
turn.
That's all.
So you
can heal.
Yeah.
Okay,
good.
I'm going to
roll that
heal.
24.
Sweet.
So he'll
get 24
back.
Okay.
Okay,
I'm going
to do that
again.
Okay.
Minus
five on
this one.
Fuck
right off
four,
but it'll
still hit
him with
the splash.
And then
because I'm
such a nice
guy,
I'm going to
roll it for
a third
time.
Yep.
Okay.
It does
have a
splash.
Yeah,
I got it.
It's the same
splash.
It's four.
Yeah.
Oh,
so close.
Just miss.
Okay,
I got the
extra heals
in there.
Okay,
there you go.
That's as much
as I can do.
I'm going to
end my turn
and recover.
All right,
Tannhauser,
you're up.
All right.
Oh,
yeah,
and you'll
take that
and then
we'll
recovery
and you're
still fired
and you'll
take that.
Give me a
give me a
reflex save,
please.
I will post
it in chat
from the
aura of
fire.
Good save
from Baldry.
Also,
yeah,
I'm making
the reflex save.
Yeah,
because this is
you're still
in the aura.
You're starting
to turn
in the aura.
Yep.
I will
reroll that.
Okay.
With a hero
point.
Yes,
sir.
for one
lower.
Hmm.
Okay.
There is.
Does Vena get
the splash
heals?
She technically
does, yeah.
She technically
would.
So she gets
eight healing.
Yep.
Yep.
I get it.
Every little
bit helps.
Thanks,
yeah.
Okay.
Bombing.
Rules are
hard.
You take
17 more.
Tanny,
you're up.
All right.
So this is
disturbing.
Yes.
Because now
that changes
things.
I now have
nine hit points
left,
which means
that,
well,
if I get
the persistence
it's still
2d6,
right?
No,
yeah,
but it's
yeah.
So right now
it's 2d8.
So there's
like,
okay,
so there's
no,
you can still
live.
You can still
live.
Like if I
roll max,
it's still
16.
You'd only
take six
max.
All right.
I think
right now
at the risk
of me
potentially
going down,
I'm going
to do as
much damage
as possible.
It is still
important,
I think,
to keep me
up because I
have a big
support move
I'm going
to make
next turn.
Absolutely.
But right
now I'm
never going
to get a
better shot
at potentially
critting since
we have him
flanked and I
still have a
true strike up.
So I'm
going to
cast true
strike.
Okay.
I will
free action
bespell
weapon and
I am going
to hit him
with a
spell strike
with a
level five
shocking
grasp.
Oh,
okay.
Okay.
Lord.
Father
blaze,
whatever
your name
is.
I don't
care if
you're a
god or
a charlatan.
You're
in the
way of
the
revolution.
And I'm
going to
swing and
I'm going to
miss.
But fortunately,
but Chad has
got your
back.
Well,
not just a
little worse
than before.
Chad not only
has my
back.
That's right.
Your true
strike.
Never mind.
You don't
even need
Chad.
Never mind.
Put that
up.
There you
go.
That's a
32.
Not quite
a crit.
Am I
allowed to
spend a
hero point
to re-roll
my original
miss and
try to get
a crit?
No,
because it's
a fortune
effect.
Fair enough.
Fair enough.
Okay.
So,
let's roll
damage.
I will get
12 normal
damage.
Okay.
And the
rest of
this,
I'm not
rolling d20s.
Let's get
rid of that.
Plus
1d6.
And now
my
shocking
grasp
will power
through.
For
38.
I mean,
still good.
Still 50.
Pretty total.
We take
those.
That's still
a good
chunk.
All right.
Now,
if you guys
keep me up
for next
turn,
I think
I can
do something
that will
really help
us out
and potentially
stop one
of us
from dying
instantly
if we get
hit by
a lord.
police
heal
our
bad
asses.
I will
pass
turn.
Okay.
Vina.
Oh,
yeah.
And then
you will
take no
damage.
So you're
good there.
Cool.
Just
recovery
though.
Fail.
Oh,
yeah.
Sorry.
You
succeeded.
So you're
only taking
half of
that.
And then
Vina.
Boop.
Give me
that for
the aura.
All right.
Flames like
blasting off the
Lord hit
your skin.
Also,
as you
begin your
round,
you feel
some
existential
emptiness
hit you
as though
some
fundamental
part of
your being
has been
ripped away
from you.
Oh.
Oh,
I'm going to
hero point
that one.
Sure.
It's worth
it because
I've got
evasion.
Oh,
that's only
one better.
Yeah.
So not
quite what
you needed
there.
So you
will take
23 points
just from
the aura.
And since
you fail
to save,
he will
use a
spawn
flame
ability
and create
a little
filth
fire
friend.
I have
a question.
Yes.
That's a
reaction.
He already
reacted on
Rahua.
Read the
rule.
It says he
can take
that in
addition to
his
normal
reaction.
All right.
Oh,
not the
flanks.
Okay.
All right.
Ow.
I'm going
to,
with my
panache,
I'm going
to target
him and
I am going
to just
wildly
stab for
whatever looks
the most
solid.
Do it
up.
he who
can't even
reroll that
one.
Oh,
no.
Yeah.
Oh,
gosh.
Gosh.
You know,
I'm going to
use this one
from Cora
called flames
and terror
as whatever
has affected
you takes
hold.
You are
now just
absolutely
overcome and
frightened as
you see the
flames growing
around you.
Your attack
misses.
Everything is
going wrong.
Tannhauser
looks like he's
on his last
legs.
You feel
terrible.
Shit.
Shit.
Shit.
Come on.
All right.
Everybody
stay calm.
Vina says
not staying
calm.
And I'm
going to
just
grit
my teeth
and stab
him again.
Sure.
I'm
going to
hero point
it.
I might
as well.
Okay.
That hits.
That hits.
That hits.
And
just some
damage.
Matters here.
Regular
damage.
Oh,
not great.
That's
22.
32 because
he's weak
to gold.
Okay.
Okay.
Just
stabbing
forward
wildly
trying to
find just
something.
That was
two actions.
Panache
down.
And then I've
got an
extra strike
from haste.
so I'm
going to
attempt to
I don't know
if rolling
through the
guy that's
on fire
is an
excellent
idea.
I learned
my lesson
with rolling
through
spiders.
So I
am instead
going to
make as
if I'm
going to
tumble and
I am
instead going
to faint
him.
Oh,
yeah,
do it
up.
24.
He sees
right through
your faint.
All right.
He just
stares the
face now
almost entirely
sloughed off.
It's hard
though.
There's no
there's no
skeleton
underneath.
It looks like
there's just
more raw
fire underneath
the flesh
that is
seeping away
as he
stares
at you
and just
what is
this what
you mortals
intend.
I shall
put you
on with
a second
apocalypse.
He's
going to
grit her
teeth with
a shaky
smile and
just you
wouldn't be
the first
to try.
And I'm
going to
use my
free strike
to just
hit him
with a
map minus
10.
Sure.
And just
try it.
Nope.
Didn't think
so.
I will
call in
something else
and you
could be
angry about
this but
your sympathy
is going
nowhere.
Do you
want to
hear a
point?
Wait,
wait,
wait,
wait,
wait.
No.
Okay,
cool.
He will
like as
you vainly
try to
go his
flaming hand
will slap
your sword
back,
not disarming
you.
But then
he seemingly
punches at
you.
And this
doesn't this
is an attack
that does
damage.
This is just
that complication
I held in
reserve.
Oh,
no dispels
your resist
fire.
Oh,
oh,
I believe
that's the
end of
your go.
Maybe.
Cool.
Orin.
All right.
Orin's
going to go
and heal
Tanhauser
with a
two action
healer
Rudy.
Give me a
moment.
Yeah.
It's going to be
a fourth rank
and go
Tanhauser
make it
worth it.
All right.
These are
rolls 49.
That's all
over to you.
Orin's
going to
spend his
last action
and let
the dragon
dissipate
to
battlefield
medicine
thine
self.
Flying up
there trying
to heal
thine
self.
Yep.
Please forgive
me.
Just trying
to do the
whole
treat wounds
thing.
Going to
go for
expert
DC.
Put it
in a
20 plus
10.
So here
we go.
Yeah,
you got
this.
Got my
healer's
gloves.
Da da da.
Clack and
clack.
Natural 20.
Okay,
okay,
okay,
okay,
okay.
So critical
success.
You're
lathering
yourself.
You get
that ointment
on,
boy.
Yeah,
the healing
seems wrong,
but whatever.
He brought
the good
mud.
Yeah,
it's 48.
Yeah,
that's right.
Best mud.
I'll get
that.
Okay.
Heal for
that.
Of course,
I'm like,
godless healing.
I also get
additional,
so that
worked out.
The dragon
looks at
you all,
does the
peace sign
and fucking
disappears
because I
did not
sustain him.
The
gorgomonger
does a dance
because he
ain't getting
near.
Actually,
what you
can start
doing,
especially
you can go
up a little
bit.
She's
going to
come up
behind there,
so Tannehaus
will get a
flank on that
thing if he
for some
reason needs
to.
And with
that,
that's all
that Oren
can do.
Okay,
the avatar
of flame
will go.
Oh,
got a good
recovery.
Oh,
yeah,
you are
still on
fire.
going to
take
seven.
Yep.
All
right.
The avatar
of flame
goes still
staring at
you,
Veena.
All right
then.
You want
my attention,
you have
it.
Why?
Why does
she set
your destiny
against me?
And he's
going to
attack you.
Well,
you don't
got to do
that,
home dog.
Oh.
Oh,
nimble dodge?
Nimble dodge?
Not good
if I'm
re-rolling
it.
Okay.
I'd like
to imagine
Thurston
just has a
kill player
button on
his desk
that makes
the dice
run a
little bit
better.
A little
bit.
A big
nimble dodge
does nothing
here.
Get
fucked.
But it's
not a
crit.
But I'll
roll pretty
darn good.
Ow.
Hits you
for 39.
Now I
will hit
you again
at minus
five with
my second
action.
Yeah.
Can I
go manage
so you
can riposte?
Riposte?
Use the
nimble dodge.
No,
I use the
nimble dodge.
No,
I can't.
Can't riposte.
That was the
declare.
I'm going
to risk it
for the
biscuit then.
No,
you're not
because he
slowed.
That's
right.
I'm not.
We are
but moral
men.
We must
play by the
action economy.
We're not a
boss monster.
It's just
normal men.
Not yet.
Just
innocent men.
Very true.
All right.
What do we
got here?
No,
not enough.
Well,
no,
not enough.
Okay.
All right.
That's that.
Go.
Give me a
save,
please.
Oh,
as you are
in the
aura of
intense heat.
It's the
intensity.
No,
it's very
heat.
Oh,
thanks.
No,
thanks.
Oh,
I live
this.
He's very
warm.
The flames
wash back
off of you.
Oh,
I don't
know.
Jamie,
you're bankrolling
Thurston.
I activate
the separate
Canada from
the USA,
but no,
I have to
spend that
action on
prone.
So,
yeah,
you should
probably get
away,
by the way,
is my
suggestion.
Like,
yeah,
that is what
I intend
to do.
I'm gonna
back the
fuck up.
Run,
boy.
I also want to
try and
take it.
So,
it will move
away.
Yeah.
Back up.
It's very hot.
I'm gonna crawl.
Gonna crawl.
Don't say it
like that.
I'm gonna sneak
up.
I don't think
I should crawl.
I think I'm
gonna get a
red hot flame
up the ass
if I do
that.
I'm
spinning an
action to
get up.
Okay.
And I
walk away.
You're
walking away?
When you
walk away?
You don't
hear me
say.
Please.
Oh,
baby.
Did
Elord already
use his
reaction?
Sure
hasn't,
because he
goes right
before you.
Of course.
By all
means,
I'm not
gonna walk
away.
Instead,
tell you
what?
I'm gonna
juice
Vina
with some
more
healing.
Does your
spell have
the manipulate
trait?
What?
You could
step.
You stood up.
You could step.
You could five
foot step away.
You won't be able
to do any touch
abilities, but you
have two actions
left.
I will.
No, one action
because he stood
up.
Oh, yeah.
Damn.
Action economy
works against you
boys.
Oh,
look, with my
two actions,
I got this
turn.
I'm gonna
step.
I'm gonna
step.
Get to
step.
I'm gonna
battle
menace
and myself.
Cool.
Let me
fight.
My actions.
Hold on.
Yes, you do
this.
To keep
things going,
I will move
us to
Belgic
while you
here.
Go ahead.
Treating
wounds.
You're up.
I'm trying
to think,
uh,
because I
can't just,
I can't
just,
what?
What?
Whoa.
What happened?
What?
I DC'd
and I
have an
autoplay.
Stop!
Stop!
But I
hit there.
Good.
Nice.
Neil Breen
came in and
attacked us.
Uh,
anyway.
The,
here's what
I'm gonna,
here's what
I'm gonna do,
because I
can't just
sit here
being,
like,
backup
worst healer
for the
moment.
Nope.
So Thurston,
I'm going to
prepare something
and I want
you to,
I want you to,
I want you to
work with me
on this.
Interesting.
I need to,
I need to have
him work with
me on this.
He's the GM.
I literally
have no choice.
Would it be
possible,
Thurston,
for me to
make some
kind of
crafting check
very quickly,
because I can,
I can whip up
a coring charge.
I could,
I absolutely
could,
but it's,
it's fire,
so it's not
very useful
in this present
scenario unless
I wanted to,
like,
kill
Tannhauser
or Veena.
Both of which
are not a very
good idea.
Would it be
possible for me
to roll a
crafting check
to see if I
can alter the
element of the
coring charge?
For a hero
point.
I'm sure,
but two actions
to make it.
That's fine.
What?
So,
I will spend
a hero point
and roll a
crafting,
correct?
Yep.
Alright.
I can be down
when I'm at,
I'm at,
I'm at three.
Okay,
good.
You guys
are being
generous.
High level.
It is,
I gotta flick
this on
because I'm
not letting
that happen.
This is the
time for this
to really,
this is the
time for this
to happen.
That's a
really bad
roll.
It's a 26.
Will that
function,
Thurston,
or do I need
to go again?
It's enough
to get you
something.
It won't be
great,
but it'll,
it'll do
what you
need it
to do.
Also,
mark Baldrick
down a
hero point.
Please do.
So,
I rolled a
six on
that.
Am I
gonna be
greedy?
No one
can tell me
if I
shouldn't be
greedy.
I'm gonna
re-roll that.
Okay.
I have no
choice.
It's the
same roll.
Don't you
hit the
points.
Oh.
I love,
I love the
dice.
They're very
funny.
All right.
Okay,
so I'm
gonna sacrifice
a coring
charge that
I'm whipping
up and
a frost
vial and
I'm going
to make
a cold
coring
charge.
A freezing
charge,
if you will.
Cool.
But I'm
not gonna do
anything with
it.
I'm just
keeping it
to hand.
And I'm
instead going
to throw a
Vindicator's
mist at
Vina.
Okay.
That's my
final action.
Yeah.
Throw a
coring charge
at Vina.
It misses
because I
am rolling
like crap.
Okay,
just take
the splash
heel.
I'm not
blowing my
last one.
I'll take
the splash
heel.
Four.
Hey,
let me
out of my
room because
a little
man finds
himself in
my room.
Oh,
a little
man.
And roll
the recovery
chick bomb.
Okay.
Yep,
hang on,
I'm working
on it.
I had to
let a cat
out of my
room.
Anheuser,
you're up.
Ah,
okay.
Tenny first.
This is a
little bit of a
Hail Mary.
Well,
first of all,
uh-oh.
what funny
thing happens
to me.
Intense eat.
Oh,
I have to
keep making
it.
Yes,
your next turn.
Very good.
Does this
count as
radiation?
No.
Figured I'd
ask.
That's fire.
Yeah.
Well,
there's a
success for
you.
You're only
going to
take half
damage.
Only
20.
Only
20?
only 20.
Wait,
15.
No,
five.
All right.
This is a
bit of a
long shot.
I'm going
to this
this over
here,
right?
If I
recall,
this is some
kind of
time diluting
effect.
What was
this?
I don't
know if
that's
there because
of who it
went down.
It's oh
no,
it's still
there.
It remains
at last.
It's not
the same
thing.
It's
there for
another two
rounds.
Okay.
Here's what
I'm going
to do.
I'm going
to dimensional
assault and
put myself
right here.
Okay.
Inside the
temporal
anomaly.
I'm going
to raise
my right
hand to
the sky
and I'm
going to
call out
haunt
to drown
if you
indeed
sponsor us
make your
power known
make your
presence shown
reveal
thyself
through my
power
and I
am going
to cast
hydraulic
push
into the
sky
and I'm
going to
spend a
hero point
and hopefully
have my
evocation of
anti-drown in
some way give
this power that
I don't
understand.
And I
would like
to cause
some sort
of heavy
rain,
hopefully emboldened
by this slowed
time anomaly
to hopefully
extinguish the
persistent
damage,
increase or
decrease the
DC for
resisting this
constant deluge
of flame.
I don't know,
but I figure
that a very
strong heavy
rain in a
fire based
encounter has
got to be some
kind of help.
Okay.
Give me
attack roll.
You got it.
You hit
anti-drown out
of the sky
and I kill
1d4
anti-drown.
I got a
30.
Okay.
Yeah.
Now I hear
that's enough
for it to come
down and take
off the
persistent fire
off everyone.
Oh,
finally.
Sorry.
B is in
here.
B.
It's B.
All right.
That's all I
got.
As you do
that and you
channel this
energy,
you feel
like very
empowered,
but then
something kind
of strikes
you like
there's an
emptiness
forming.
Uh-oh.
Veena,
speaking of
empty,
you continue
to have this
strange feeling
in yourself,
but what are
you doing?
Interesting.
first I'm
going to make
my save.
Yes,
I can drop
it again.
Oh,
yes.
Thank you.
I should just
put that on my
hot bar at this
point.
It's on my
hot bar now.
Oh,
nice.
There we go.
Success.
All right.
So I'm going
to do my best
here.
I'm going to
make another
feint toward
him.
Just fancy
feet trying to
be deceptive,
trying to be
quick.
do it up.
Ah,
my no,
terrible.
One sec.
Are you going
to reroll that?
Um,
I don't have
three hero points
again.
Uh,
why not?
Okay.
Give it a shot.
That'll,
that'll succeed.
Okay.
Just barely
eked it out.
You're very
lucky that you
didn't,
didn't keep the
original,
because a crit
fail means
you're off
guard.
Oh,
oh,
yucky.
Okay.
Uh,
so that will
be some
panache.
I've got that
one on my
hot bar.
And I'm
going to
just
strike at
the heart
of Uncle
Blaze.
Yeah.
That'll,
that'll end.
That'll hit.
That'll hit.
six.
Nice.
We have a
hit.
Okay.
Finally
a hit roll.
Damage.
Yeah.
Ooh,
spicy damage.
That's not
bad.
That's not
bad.
That's all
38.
Look at that
chunk.
Taking him
down.
Yeah.
Okay.
All right.
Panache
down.
Okay.
So that was
action one,
action two.
Um,
action three.
I'll try
for another
feint.
Just at
this point,
fencing with
him,
dipping and
dodging in
and out.
26.
Not
quite enough
there.
Not quite.
Um,
so for my
final,
I'll save
it.
I'll save
it.
Okay.
Also Mark
Vena down
one from
earlier.
Yeah.
And then
she,
she got
another one.
You got
more.
Yeah.
Okay.
Okay.
I see this
chat.
Okay.
He,
he hasn't
used his
reaction yet,
has he?
Sure
hasn't.
Okay.
Well,
oh no,
my haste
gives me a
free strike,
so I would
have to spend
my action
to step.
Uh,
and that
wouldn't get
me out of
this heat
range,
would it?
It's
10,
so you have
to go
to,
so you
can,
yeah,
I can't
quite step
out.
Um,
in that
case,
we are
locked in
mortal
combat
here,
um,
and I'm
just going
to go
for a
normal
style hit
at minus
five.
Sure,
do it up.
Uh,
whiffed.
That's
sad.
Sorry.
That's fine.
That first hit
was meaty enough.
I mean,
I mean,
you could
re-roll it,
you do have
three.
We're being
funded.
or I have
two.
I have
two.
No,
it's three
now.
They bumped
you up.
We're being
funded.
Yeah,
yeah,
yeah.
Hello?
We're
paid a
winning this
now,
apparently.
Oh,
my God.
It's
more hands
all over again.
You're
getting it,
too.
Um,
no,
I'll save
it.
I'll save
it.
Okay.
Uh,
Oren.
It's my
turn.
Okay,
I've been
debating on
this one.
The first
thing I
will do
is I
within 30
of Venus,
so I
will heal
you with
a two
action
heal.
So here
you go,
Venus.
That's how
it sounds.
So here
you are.
Here's a
whole bunch
of healing.
That's
going to
be a total
of 52
to Venus.
Okay,
okay.
Nice,
got it.
So there
you go.
And just
to kind
of keep
things
interesting
at that
point,
uh,
I will
also
one action
heal,
but then
also
do
my
feet
thing
of
reach.
Actually,
no,
I cannot
do that.
No,
that's two
actions.
No,
that'd be
four actions.
Can't do
that.
Uh,
so instead,
what I
will do,
which is
something
special that
you might
recognize,
I will order
Gorgermonger to
eat that
flame.
Sure.
Uh,
so now it's
Gorgermonger's
turn,
and he is
going to look
at that
little flame
guy.
What does
the flame
guy say?
Wah!
Gorgermonger
goes
and crits
him.
Oh,
that'll
be beautiful.
Fucking kill!
And rolled
max damage
for total
40 points
of damage
on the
little flame
thing.
Gorgermonger,
kill.
Still up.
He will
strike him
once more,
and he'll
use his
talons this
time.
Wah!
And he
fucking
whipped it.
I will
spend a
hero
punch.
Oh?
I
believe
in
Gorgermonger.
Another
natural
20!
Yay!
No!
Yeah,
that's good.
Brawls,
it's going to be
weaker damage,
but it's
28 points
of damage.
That will
kill it.
As Gorgermonger
consumes the
flame.
Oh no,
he's made of
wood!
Ah!
He parts
with the
inside.
It's just like
spicy Cheetos
for him.
all of a sudden
it's the
dragonflight
expansion.
No!
All right,
that's the end
of Orrin's
turn.
Elden Ring.
Elden Ring.
Fire
giant.
Fire
giant.
This is
what you
mortals
want.
Fine,
then he
will attack
you,
Veena,
with his
hand.
Oh,
why?
I have a
villain point.
I'm going to
use it.
natural
one.
No.
No.
Egads.
Egads.
That's going
to hurt.
Oh,
that's a
spicy meatball.
59 points
of damage.
Then he
will stick.
And then
because I
rolled really
well.
Wait.
Aop.
Step.
Step.
Step.
Never mind.
He will
unleash another
blast of
fiery energy.
That's really
big.
Yeah,
I'm going to
get all of
you to give
me that
reflex save
in there,
please.
Oh,
shit.
Okay,
come on,
come on.
I'm fast.
I'm fast.
Time for the
significant hurt.
I'm re-rolling
that.
Oh.
Yeah,
I'm going to
re-roll Orrin's.
Time for damage.
Succeed.
Mine's not.
Wow,
it's worse.
Rerolling?
Reroll.
If,
this is important
for you to
note,
if
Tannhauser
hadn't done
the rain to
get rid of
the persistent
fire,
that would
have been a
crit fail for
you,
Orrin.
So,
Tannhauser's
thing mattered.
Did my re-roll
not go through?
Didn't.
There you go.
Gorgamonger
critic.
Gorg,
he's eaten all
the damn
20s.
I know,
he's eaten all
the 20s.
Oh.
Okay,
okay,
okay.
Okay.
So,
the penny
takes half.
Orrin will
take full
Rahua
and
will take
half.
Okay,
so,
let me roll
the damage.
Oh,
uh,
oh.
So,
I think
Orrin.
How tall is
his burst?
Huh?
Tall enough.
Yeah,
how tall
is his burst?
Um,
this is one
of those
weird things.
Yeah.
Um,
sound like
15 feet
in the air.
And if it's
like a dome
or if it's
like a cylinder.
It's kind
of a cylinder
in this case.
Um,
here,
I don't know,
let me give
you a
fucking
D2.
Um,
oh,
I'll call
one.
Okay.
One,
I don't get
hit.
Cool.
Two,
you get hit.
I get hit.
All right.
Sweet.
All right.
Easy.
Okay,
so you take
Dimash.
Uh,
and then,
uh,
who critically
succeeded?
Gorgomonger
and Vina.
Everyone else
just regular
succeeded,
right?
Yep.
Oh,
yeah.
Hot.
Hot hurt.
Hot.
Super.
Hot.
Super.
Hot.
I'm gonna
do a
hidden roll
for myself.
Really?
I said I took
20 damage,
but I should've
only took in
10.
Oh,
yeah.
Sorry,
here,
I'll give you
that extra
10 back.
Thank you.
Uh,
that,
that,
that,
and that,
and that
will be
his go.
Rehua.
Rehua.
Okie dokie.
Okie dokie.
Vina.
Uh-huh.
Finish it.
Doing my best.
We'll expend
another two-action heal
to juice Vina
once more.
as soon as I
move my
interface out
of the way
to target
Vina instead.
Oh!
Oh!
Hmm.
47 points
of healing
to Vina.
Very nice.
I'm juiced.
And Rehua
is going
to use
his last
action.
Oh,
I,
I need
one second.
Yeah,
stand up.
I'll stand
up.
That,
that's it,
isn't it?
No.
No,
he's,
he's already
stood up.
Uh,
it just was
supposed to
remove last
time.
The carp
stands up.
Rehua
will invoke
the pendant
of the people,
channeling the
will of
Outset's
many destitute
and those
who would
inevitably be
consumed by
this roiling
conflagration
and let off
one possibly
futile burst
of an
archiparage
at Elort.
Now,
the retarded
flame.
You can do
it!
Slow him up.
No,
I saw
that's funny.
I will
re-roll
it.
Here are
cubs.
There's
the one.
I believe.
No!
That's not
the one.
Wow!
Not the one.
Oh,
no.
All right.
Well,
fine.
Roll that
recovery check
for me,
Doug.
Doug?
Doug.
Hello?
I'm
Verhua.
No.
I heal,
so you
don't have
to.
All right,
Baldrick,
yeah.
got a
question,
Thurston.
Is Baldrick
also feeling
that empty,
emptying
feeling in
himself?
Nope,
just Fina.
Okay.
Baldrick
thinks for a
moment,
seeing everyone
else around
him burning,
and then
seeing Elort,
the avatar of
flame,
happily going
about setting
everything ablaze,
and he's
looking at
the fun
little object
in his
hands and
realizing the
distance between
him and Elort
is far too
great for him
to place it
and move.
Thurston,
I want to ask
you a question.
Sure.
I have
seven
frost vials
on my person.
Mm-hmm.
May I
spend a
hero point
to prepare
them all
to go off
at once?
Uh,
no,
no.
That,
like,
I...
That's
stretching it
a little.
No,
no,
no,
no,
no.
Not,
not,
no.
I mean,
I'm planning
on moving
up to him
and blowing
up.
Oh.
I want
to move
next to him
and blow
up with
all the
frost that
I have.
Because I'm
going to go
down here
in a minute.
And that's
not terribly
good.
We're all
actually pretty
bad right now,
and if he gets
off another big
explosion flame,
we're not
going to make
it.
If you're
able to
chug a
health potion
and keep
lobbing frost,
he'll ease
weak to it.
It's going to
take me
two to
get up to
him.
But if you
get up to
him,
he'll also
get you
with his
aura and
kill you.
Okay,
but I don't
have enough
actions to
do that.
I mean,
just lobbing
frost vials
at him is
hyper effective.
Yeah,
because he's
weak to it.
Because you trigger
his weakness
every time.
Yeah,
just your
splash.
Take it away
from me.
No,
no,
no,
no,
no.
No,
no,
no.
There's
resistance to
it,
so I'm
not going
to do
it.
I'll just
drink a
health potion
and do
this the
normal way.
There.
Buddy,
two.
Okay,
so you
check that,
get some
health back.
Okay,
there we go.
Usual
time.
That's one
action.
What's the
next action?
Next action
is going to
just be
throwing frost
at him.
Now,
let's see.
How far
away is he?
No,
he's still
30.
All right,
I'm going
to throw
frost vial.
That'll
hit.
Damage
there.
Great.
Nine plus
four plus
the weakness.
So,
19.
Oh,
that's a
lot.
I'll do
a map.
I'll do
a map.
That'll
miss.
Just hit him
with a splash.
Okay,
so just
splash,
so
takes
14 more.
And I
feel the
recovery.
You're
up.
All right,
so takes
that.
All right,
Tannheuser,
you're up.
Okay.
man.
Anyone else
sweating?
I'll be sweating.
It's also a lot
though.
All the fire
evaporated the
liquids inside of
me, so I'm
burning.
There you go.
I am a little bit
concerned about
Oren's long-term
turn.
Yeah,
just give me
that save
right there.
Yeah,
I'll fail it,
so I'll reroll it.
Okay.
Oh,
that's cool.
That's all,
dude.
That's worse.
Oh,
no.
Oh,
God.
Double this.
Double this,
you say.
Yeah,
because you
crit fail.
Oh,
God.
Ouch.
I think I'm
down.
That takes
you down.
That'll get
me.
So,
because you
crit failed,
that will bring
you to
one,
two,
three.
Cool.
your initiative
then technically
goes above
him.
And this
like weirdness,
this is going to
muck up the
initiative order.
I'm sorry for
this.
I will go back
to where you
were after the
fact.
Okay,
so that just
pushes you in
that part of the
initiative order.
Ignore all these.
I don't think
that,
no,
no,
the damage
isn't enough
because you're
still resistant
even when you're
unconscious.
So,
Tanny's down,
takes no damage
because if he
didn't have
resistance,
that would have
killed him.
Yeah,
Vina,
you're out.
Okay.
All right.
My buddy
is down.
Should I just
focus on more
DPS?
Probably,
yeah.
You have the
fast weapon,
so even if you
do light damage,
you're still doing
a lot.
Exactly.
So,
first action,
stepping up.
Also,
give me a save.
Intense eat moments.
I just have to pass.
I just have to pass.
No.
I don't pass.
I'm going to
reroll it.
Please.
Please.
Okay.
If it was another one,
I was just waiting.
I was just waiting.
We all just burst
into flame.
All right.
All right.
So,
you glide through.
All right.
Does Godemonger have reach?
I think we did this
before.
Even though he's
technically a large
creature because he's
a companion,
they don't give that
to him.
So,
no.
Oh,
okay.
No flanking.
All right.
I'm going to
attempt to
faint.
Okay.
Ah,
it bounced on
that 19.
I'm so sad.
You might want to
reroll that.
All right.
I'll just,
I'll just burn
through all the,
oh.
There you go.
Oh.
Okay.
Now I'm off guard
against all your
attacks this turn.
And another 20.
Okay.
Um,
we're going to
attack him
with my
sword.
Oh,
sorry.
No,
not another 20.
I saw two.
Oh.
Oh,
that's so,
oh.
It's a natural
one for a podcast
listeners.
Yeah.
All that flash.
No bang.
Two 20s and one.
I can't reroll
the one.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Oh,
what's my complication?
Well,
I'm first in the
flames.
Yeah.
Patrons,
you pay for this.
Yeah.
You know what?
Let's go with
Levy a fan here.
I like this one.
Butterfingers.
No.
In this epic,
great moment,
you drop your weapon
onto the ground.
Yay!
It's a classic,
but very appropriate.
So that,
you,
you still could pick it up
for one action.
And then make my
free haste action.
Yes,
but
there's a problem.
Uh-oh.
Picking it up
would be something
where you're manipulating.
What does that mean?
It means you
attack of opportunity.
Yeah.
Yes.
You know what?
Hit me with it,
hot boy.
All right.
I'm going to hit you
with it.
As the song says,
hit me with your
best shot.
Of course he crit.
Of course he does.
It's a regular hit
because you nimble
dodged
because we declared
that.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
That's a little bit much.
That's still a lot
of damage.
47.
Oh.
You pick up the blade.
I hope it's worth it.
I'm fast.
I'm fast as fuck.
Oh,
everything's
testing.
Oh my God.
Let this be the final hit.
All right.
Let's try it.
Oh.
You hit.
It hits.
It hits.
It hits.
It hits.
Finish your damage.
It hits.
Oh,
that's not good.
25.
Plus the root,
plus the weakness.
That's a lot
of damage.
Not quite.
Just short.
Just short.
Oh.
All right.
Yeah.
I think it's your go.
I got a lot
of debating.
Yeah.
I mean.
So I have these options,
right?
Yeah.
I can just,
I can just heal Veena.
I don't have anything
that's frost,
unfortunately.
Unless,
actually,
hold up.
Hold on.
Well,
the problem with frost stuff,
the thing that I could do,
I could try to summon a dragon
that might do frost stuff,
but I don't know
if I have the ability
to do that.
Let me see.
So the only dragons I got,
like,
there's like a river drake,
but I don't think
it doesn't have any frost.
How much health
does Gorgamunger have?
Gorgamunger's
pretty healthy
right now.
You just have him
come in and bite him.
I mean,
he has to hit.
That's the problem.
We're trying to take a,
you know,
I was like,
he's going to do that anyway.
That's pretty quick.
And I have to spend an action
to tell him to go do that.
I have,
there's no dragon
I can really do
that can like
do much less
because I have another spell slot
to summon another dragon,
but that's three actions.
So
it's that.
Also,
I'm on fire.
So if I don't deal with that,
I'm going to just
fall out of the sky.
So
I've already
Battlefield Madison myself
and I can't do it twice.
I don't have the
free air type stuff
for that.
So I can either
two action to heal
Tannhauser,
which I'm a bit away.
Um,
so
I could,
I could probably
just do that.
I'm,
I'm pretty close to.
Well,
well,
the problem is
he's right by him
and Tannhauser would die
in his turn.
Yep.
So,
well,
not necessarily,
but the problem
you're going to run into
is that on this guy's
next turn,
he's going to start,
he's going to start
hulking out
and he's going to
take us out
like John Cena
on the Nexus.
That's a wrestling joke.
And
that
is going to be
a problem.
However,
he's also
really low.
So I think
what
would be most
helpful now
is if you have
any kind of
mass heal
or failing that,
any kind of
reliable
high damage.
So
the other
AOE one
is the one
I did before
and gives everyone
temporary HP
and then heals
people after.
It will heal him
though,
after it.
So
on our rounds
where it dissipates,
it ha,
you guys have
to kill him.
So
that's the,
that's the one
thing I can do
to try to protect
you,
you know,
try to protect
you and everything.
That's one thing
we can do.
So
what I can now
do,
because that's
one,
that was the
other options,
like do
healing servitoria
because I have
one more scroll
and do that.
And hopefully,
and it should
be able to reach
just enough
to where I can
get mostly
everybody,
probably except
Baldrick.
And,
and Gorgamonger
is not going to
be able to attack.
He can only just
step forward
and take damage
and that he'll
probably get
blasted more than
likely,
or if not,
he's still going
to take a shit time
because he can't
really protect
himself much
because the
Gorgamonger
die,
sad episode,
get another
song.
So,
gotta figure that
out.
Jesus Christ!
Your song!
I think
maybe...
Yeah,
so,
I think the
choice I'm
going to do,
yeah,
so...
I'll do it in
your hands.
Yeah,
because if I
try to do
damage,
I don't have
any heart,
literally all my
shits heal.
So,
I'm literally
here to support
you all,
and all the support
guys.
this is the
white mage
when the party
has wiped.
Yeah,
and my only
direct damage
spell is produce
flame,
so that won't
work.
I can try to
do some
attacking.
Good.
All right,
in that case,
just do your
best.
What I'm going
to do,
I'm going to
play the support
role,
I'm going to
do healing
servitor.
He's going
to...
pretty much,
I'm going to
try to get hit
to where...
I'll try to get
the radius here
for you.
Just put this
guy down again.
Yeah,
so for 20
feet...
He's back.
But it's
20 foot radius
off of him,
right?
Yes,
it radiates
off him,
so...
I trust
him or
who I'm
Balgic
to survive.
So here,
basically,
it radiates
off of him,
so if it's
20 feet off
of him,
I don't know
if it centers
in his token
or 20 feet
off an edge
or whatever.
One sec.
I will just
do a funny
thing.
Yeah,
it's like
most of...
Yeah,
it's basically
everyone,
so yeah.
You can get
everyone with it.
So these are
just for allies.
I can't delete
my radius.
I'll put that
over there.
Yeah,
you're good.
So,
yeah.
Okay.
So for him,
basically,
everyone now
put the summon
healing thing.
Everyone gets
20 temporary
HP.
Not bad.
As he summons
an int thing
to basically
just try to
protect
everybody.
So that's
20 temporary
HP right now.
When he
departs,
basically,
he will do
three HP
to everybody.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yep,
I'll do that.
Let me just
kind of note
this.
Sorry,
we're doing
all this
foundry stuff
to make sure
no one dies.
It's fancy.
You're summoning
literally
manifestations
of pure
positive energy
to buff
everyone.
And
gore
good vibes.
Well,
take a step
forward
and he'll
have to
make a
reflex save.
You want to
give me your
thing?
Oh,
yeah.
Unfortunately,
it takes
three actions
to do the
spell.
So,
Gurgermanger
cannot move
an attack.
Because I
have the
mature
companion
thing,
that means
he can
only move.
He only has
one action.
I don't know
why that
privately
rolled.
I got
it.
I got
it.
Okay,
so succeeds,
so he'll
take
half
down.
Awesome.
Yeah,
so he'll
take
16.
Okay.
All right.
Then
we go to
Tannhauser's
turn.
Okay.
Oh,
and yeah,
you take
dying
the four
thing.
Yeah,
roll
recovery,
and I
fail,
and take
the four
or whatever.
Now,
Tannhauser,
you can spend
all of your
hero points
to remove
the dying
condition and
be unconscious
at zero.
Otherwise,
well,
you're going to
take damage
here is the
big thing.
So,
give me a
reflex save.
And here,
it'll be based
off of this
guy.
Oops,
that guy
again.
So,
roll the
reflex save.
You got
it.
Even if
you're
unconscious.
That's not
good.
So,
you will
fail.
I could
use a
hero point
or no?
Because that'll
leave you with
one which you
could then
spend later
on.
So,
yes.
Just don't
fail it
worse.
I don't
know if he
controls that.
Ooh,
that's
slightly better.
All right,
so roll
damage.
Failing upwards.
I would
need,
like,
anything
above a
10 will
take you
down another
one.
Your
dying value
would go
up.
You spend
all your
hero points
here.
You go
to dying
zero.
Okay.
Technically,
that would
have killed
you,
but since
we're cheating
with hero
points this
session,
whatever.
All right,
so you're
unconscious,
but you've
not received
healing,
so you are
unconscious,
but you
have no
hero points
remaining.
Makes sense.
Okay,
but at least
he's alive.
At least
he's alive.
He had
20 temporary
things.
Oh,
that is
true.
Oh,
yeah,
that's right.
That's right.
That's right.
So,
out of N7,
then the
shield.
Oh,
yeah.
Yeah.
So,
technically,
you'd have
temporary hit
points,
but you're
unconscious
still,
because
temporary hit
points doesn't
bring you
back to
consciousness.
Okay.
Because they're
temporary hit
points.
But then
the important
question is,
would I still
have a single
hero point
left?
Uh,
yes,
because you
wouldn't have
taken it.
I'll give you back
your one.
Okay.
Kine?
Well,
all right.
Well,
Alert's gonna
go.
He's done
with this
bullshit now.
First
action.
in a hand
just goes
to slap
you,
and just
as the
tattered
remains of
his body
are sloughing
off,
he just
looks,
I'm done
with this.
I'm done
with you,
destined
mortals.
Um,
it's you.
Ah!
Ah!
Calm down!
That'll
drop you.
You will
be dying
too.
Bedtime.
He will
then
point to
Tannhauser
and unleash
a goat
of flame.
Oh!
I would
like to
spend
a hero
point.
Okay.
So,
if this
goes off,
I would
not be
able to
spend my
hero points
and go
down to
dying
whatever
Yamutsa
funsum,
right?
Yeah,
so at this
point you
would just
hit points,
lose all
of your
hero points.
It's not
one,
it's all
of them.
Okay,
okay.
Okay.
I
happen
to have
a
smokestick
grater
on my
person.
Could
it be
thus that
the extreme
heat of
the situation
would have
caused that
smokestick
to burst
on my
unconscious
body?
Yeah,
absolutely.
100%
that will
work.
Okay.
I suppose
I'll try
that.
Cool.
Oh.
Oh.
For
podcast
listeners,
if you
want to
say it.
I guess
he has
smoke
vision,
so he
farted.
It was
worth a
shot.
It was
worth a
shot.
I'm going
to attack
Vena again
with my
last attack.
Well,
hey,
no.
My last
attack,
I've got
three
actions.
Would
you like
to spend
your one
hero point
to stay
alive,
Vena?
Um,
you know,
sure.
I'd love
to stay
alive.
He's not
slowed
any.
He died
a couple
of times.
A good try.
All right,
since they are
effectively
immortal until
hero points
are done,
Marua,
you're up.
Oh,
my God.
so my
options here
are to go
up and try
and hit
him,
but even
that I
got two
shots max.
I can
heal either
one of
them,
but they're
still
unconscious.
The time
for healing
is over.
War.
That is
my advice.
I see.
I believe
in
Rahua.
Not as
much as
Baldrick's
Frostbonds,
but I
believe in
Rahua.
You know?
Oh,
dear.
It's that
or a
spell.
I don't
know what
it is for.
I'm not
going to try
a will-based
spell against
him.
He's very
willful.
Ali.
Change
must come
at a
cost.
It's the
most I
can do.
And
attempt to
strike him.
Okay.
First of
all,
Aura,
give me a
save.
intense heat.
I saw
that waffle.
I'm going
to have to
reroll that.
Yep.
Please.
Fuck you.
Fuck off.
Sickened.
Sickened is
paying off.
Oh,
man.
I'm going to
go probably
down.
Now I'll
stay up for
just barely.
Oh,
no,
no,
no,
no,
no,
no,
no,
no,
no,
no.
That was
the base
roll.
Of course.
Wait,
don't you have
a hero point?
Can't you
reroll that?
Cops are
here.
No,
he did.
He did.
He rerolled
it and it
was better,
but worse
by just
enough forsaken
to make it
a crit fail.
Yep.
Good Lord.
Good alert.
Apparently.
All right.
Baldrick.
You know
the drill.
Baldrick's
seeing this
happen.
Frostvile.
Yep.
Go.
Give me a
shot.
That's a 19
for a hit.
Almost a 20.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Let me damage him.
That's shit
damage.
Seven plus
four plus
the weakness.
Hey,
there's still
that weakness.
Thurston.
Yeah!
Oh,
was that it?
All right.
So,
Thurston,
what's the base
for you?
Um,
you guys are
good to go
for just a wee
bit longer,
right?
Just a wee bit?
Yeah.
It could be a little
bit.
Yeah.
We,
we,
can we take a,
can we take a quick
two-minute bio
and then,
uh,
we'll,
uh,
we'll see what the
ramifications of this is.
Oh,
boy.
Oh,
two-minute,
quick two-minute.
Quick two-minute,
quick two-minute.
anything to seer.
All right,
we're back.
Okay.
Everyone give me a
fortitude save.
Oh.
Got it.
Oh.
At this point,
several things begin
to happen all at once.
All right,
fort,
fort,
save,
go.
25.
Someone roll the one.
Oh.
I'm going to roll the one.
Uh,
I got a 31.
28.
Cool.
Everyone fails.
You're all not pro.
Hold on,
hold on,
I have an,
excuse me.
Dan Hauser hasn't rolled.
Yeah,
please roll.
Is this a disease,
poison,
or radioactive?
No,
actually,
you're unconscious.
Never mind.
You don't,
you're not a real person anymore.
Yeah,
yeah,
yeah,
yeah,
yeah,
yeah,
yeah,
yeah,
yeah,
yeah,
yeah,
yeah,
yeah.
You don't exist.
Okay.
All magical effects
and conditions
are bled off of you
that are things like
persistent damage
or spell effects.
Okay.
Do I get my healing
from my friend?
Nope.
It blasts away
your healing duder.
Okay,
you're,
you both are still unconscious.
Persistent damage gone.
Vital.
Oh yeah,
I should roll to remove
the persistent damage,
shouldn't I?
That actually will go away
as part of this.
Okay.
Um,
now everyone give me
a will save.
All right.
DC here is 32.
Oh,
32.
Hey,
yeah,
so I get this
on a 19.
Well,
he's going to reroll.
Oh,
okay.
Vena gets it.
I got it.
All the rolling
to finish.
Baldrick's at a 26.
What was the roll
for it?
32.
Okay.
I could succeed.
Okay.
I'm going to reroll
because I don't have
very good will.
significantly worse.
18.
Okay.
So it looks like
Baldrick will fail
critically.
Uh,
Oren will fail
and the rest of you
pass.
Okay.
So,
uh,
Baldrick,
you are doomed
one.
Oh,
oh,
uh,
this is probably
one of the best
outlooks you could
have had on this.
So good job.
Um,
Oren,
you are sorry.
Uh,
Baldrick,
you're doomed
two and Ornie
are doomed
one.
Uh,
basically the
doomed value,
um,
basically is an,
in addition to
your dying value.
So it's very glad
none of the people
who had dying
previously had it.
All right.
Each of you,
Veena,
Rahua,
Tannhauser,
are brought back
with a single
hit point.
You are still all
prone as is
everyone else.
Um,
but you manage
to
feel a
slight bit
of energy
come back
into your,
into your aching
bones after
this.
As this
happens,
you see that
the last
of the skin
has sloughed
off of
Alort.
As he
flies back,
and at this
point,
the, um,
temporal effect
here is also
dissipated.
He flies
back,
the skin
now sloughing
off entirely.
Um,
instead,
there is an
effigy
of a man.
An effigy
of a humanoid
figure that
begins to
increase in
size until
it's three,
maybe four
times the
size of an
average man.
No longer
does it have
the figure
shape of
Dinia Lort.
heart, it is
instead just a
human silhouette,
like an
ominous
flaming
wicker man
in the sky,
arms outstretched,
legs outstretched,
the, the
basalt voice,
you hear it,
you hear this,
this, this almost
deific timbre in the
backs of your mind.
hands, she
sponsored you,
I sponsor this
flesh, and
now I take
this flesh.
At that exact
moment, all of you
now feel the
deepest despair you
have ever known.
Something else,
something unrelated
to this has
ripped something
entirely away from
you.
All of you
feel incredibly
naked, especially
Baldrick and
Orin, who have
this wave wash
over you.
Orin, this
causes you to
slightly flutter
down to the
ground, you
feel that even
your, your
maintaining flight
is difficult, you
are all wheezing,
you are all
managing to just
barely hold on,
but something
has been
struck from
you, something
has been pulled
from you.
And you
know that what
has been taken
from you is
whatever influence
you had since
the earliest part
of this campaign,
whatever was
inside that,
that, that, that
temple you went
to early in the
campaign, that
sponsorship is now
gone.
Oh.
Uh-oh.
And as the, the
silhouette man
figure stares
down, it
seems to raise
a hand, a
almost comical
globe of
fire begins
to form
it.
A, a pinprick
thing that
is about to
shoot out.
Everyone give me
a perception
check.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Oh, I don't
see shit.
I might see
something.
Orin rolled a
24, Gorgamonger
got a 36.
Baldrick,
Tannhauser,
Gorgamonger,
and Orin,
as, as you all
see this impending
doom coming,
something else
is noticed.
something in the
chest of this
figure.
A piercing
shaft of
white comes
through the
center of
this burning
man's chest.
It's maybe
the size of
a railway spike
ending in a
spiked protrusion.
And it comes
out the back.
And then
the ball of
flame in the
hand of this
figure pops,
disappearing.
And it
begins shaking
in the air.
Just shaking.
Not moving
from where it
is, but shaking
like it's
vibrating.
And then it
turns into a
giant white
tree.
The body
coming down,
splashing into
the ground,
roots taking
form,
an immense
white tree
bursting out
from the
ground.
And it
stands there
and you see
the
burn.
Well,
repeat that again
and we see
the what?
You cut him.
And you see
the edges of
it begin to
burn.
and stepping
out from
behind this
tree
is an
entity,
a being of
conjoined
elements.
You've seen
this thing
before.
Whoa!
I'm
excellent.
Thank you.
Thank you.
You need to
turn that off.
I didn't,
I'm sorry.
Yeah,
I didn't realize.
And this
figure
strides out.
you again.
Destin,
death.
The true
thing wasn't
you,
Rua.
I wish
it was.
And for
the
since you've
ever
encountered
this,
this,
this
entity,
it has
a voice.
Let me
drop this
down here.
And this
voice begins
to speak
out.
Oh,
it's high
time.
I give you
my thanks.
Oh,
thank you,
thank you,
thank you
for drawing
Gatherim
out.
Oh,
thanks to
you,
the last
of the
old
powers
are now
sealed.
Oh,
each of
their
worldly
focuses
are trapped,
trapped
in a
stasis
by the
same
properties
of
Outset's
pilasters.
Oh,
finally,
we're
free
from their
ridiculous
strictures.
And
each
of
you
recognize
this
voice.
It's a
voice that
you've
heard many
times.
Many
times
through the
background
at Baldrick's
house,
as emerging
from the
voice of
the
amalgamate
creature
is the
voice of
Marlene,
the humble
woman of
the Architects
Guild.
Traitor.
Oh,
oh,
oh,
oh,
oh,
it's,
it's done.
Oh,
I did it.
Oh,
oh,
I'm so
happy.
You know,
there were,
there were so
many times,
so many
times I
thought this
whole thing
was gonna
go wrong.
Oh,
oh,
gosh,
you know
how hard
it was
to set
you idiots
up with
a destiny?
Oh,
gods,
it took so
much.
What did
you do?
What?
I,
I,
I
set you up
with a destiny.
I needed
you
to
drag out
Uncle Blaze
because I
couldn't
find him.
The others
were easy.
But him,
he was the
hard one.
But I knew
if there was
a destiny,
it could
snag him
in.
So then I
had to
set you
all up
with a
destiny.
That took
some time.
Took a lot
of time,
actually.
I had to
send bounty
hunters to
get that
dragon.
I had to
explode
Tanhauser's
lab.
I had to
get your
crew to
mutiny.
I had to
work with
the Tyrant's
Guild.
Oh,
now,
by the
way,
we're
going to
get order
restored in
the city.
Oh,
so good.
And,
and we
did it
together.
To
what
end?
well,
now they
can't do
anything,
the voice
like speaks
from within
the churning
elemental
maelstrom.
They're all
trapped now.
I sent
people everywhere.
You were the
ones here.
I knew you
could weaken
him enough,
so Rotava
here could
shove this
into his
back when
he was
distracted.
then I
sent one
to the
grotto,
a friend
of yours
actually,
and then I
sent one
down into
the depths,
and I sent
one into
the clouds,
and I
staked them.
So now,
now,
now they
can't,
they can't focus
on the world
because they're
trapped.
sure they
might be
able to
grant some
spells,
that's fine,
but now,
now their
edicts are
gone.
Now we
can finally
grow the
city,
not up,
but around.
Um,
Rahua and
Oren,
you can give
me religion
and or
nature checks
as appropriate.
Of course.
I will do
nature.
21.
I will
do
religion.
16.
Um,
Oren?
Yes?
You're,
you have
enough here
to understand
that,
you know,
this is all
really, like,
weird and
above your
head,
but if
the old
powers
aren't able
to do
divine
manifestations,
that seems
real bad
for something
like the
rot spreading
considering
the old
powers,
including
in your
home,
the Fijal
Mountains,
the old
powers are
what's
responsible
for keeping
the rot
in check.
And for
him,
he's like,
oh no,
because all
of his
people help
sailors a
whole bunch
of stuff
and go
out there
to drown
that they're
all going
to drown.
So,
Oren's
like,
oh shit,
oh no.
Oh,
I was
really
worried.
I thought
when you
went into
the swamp
that you'd
actually
listen to
my idiot
father.
Oh,
I'm so
glad you
didn't.
He loves
to talk
about how
he fucked
an elf.
Talks
about it
for days.
or
I know
she wouldn't
have fucked
elf to
prevent the
events that
have happened
now.
Have we
missed a
side quest?
Zorin,
think of
them.
Oh,
was this
the episode
I missed?
Yeah.
I have no
idea what
you're talking
about.
Don't
worry about
it,
Mr.
Tannhauser.
Or is I
kind of
patching him
up a little
bit?
Like,
just,
you don't
have to
think about
them.
The milves.
Don't look
at,
don't think
of them.
What the
hell is
a milve?
Don't
worry about
it,
Mr.
Tannhauser.
I'll tell
you when
you're
older.
He starts
petting.
Think
about it.
They can't
hurt you
if you
don't.
So
what?
All
of this
to expand
the city?
Yes.
I need a future
for my family.
without Set?
You would
damn
everyone else
on the
planet?
What about
my people
and Papa
Storm?
I have a
family.
I have to
look after
them.
Your family
would have
been fine.
You would
trade
everything.
The
wilds,
the sanctity
of the
balance between
nature and
civilization
for
a
family?
A paltry
parcel of
land for
them to
live on?
That
those
countless
lives already
lost
in this
ongoing
struggle
against
forces far
beyond any
of our
controls or
comprehension.
You would
trade them
and scores
and scores
more
for another
edifice
raised.
Oh, I
love hearing
from you.
You weren't
even supposed
to be here.
There was
supposed to be
some bard,
but then you
showed up and
I thought you'd
really mess
things up,
but you
didn't.
What?
What?
back in the
arena, I
set up the
bard, but
I guess he
died.
Do you remember
the guy at the
very beginning of
the episode who's
like, and the
other collective
things of
adventures, and
then he died?
Good all.
Yeah,
Jemothy was his
name.
You guys
remember better
than me.
Oh, yes, I
remember that.
That was very
funny.
But yes,
because to me,
my family and
my city is all
that matters.
I was supposed
to be a speaker,
but no,
no.
I won't live
in the swamps
and worship
fickle powers
like these.
No, I'll bend
them to my
will, and
Outset will be
the greatest
city in the
world once
again.
And it all
starts now,
and it's all
thanks to you
and the destiny
you followed.
Hold a moment.
You are about
to take a
short walk
off a
high ledge.
Why?
Because we're
coming.
You think
you're safe
now?
You think
you and your
family are
safe now?
You're not
sponsored?
And you're
the biggest
idiots I've
ever met.
You let me
into your
house.
You let
basically anyone
into Baldrick's
house.
You don't ask
anyone anything.
You just go
along a track
I laid for
you.
And besides,
look at you.
You're not
getting out of
here.
Is there a
ceiling to the
fire dome?
Hmm?
Is there a
ceiling to the
fire dome?
Uh, no,
no, no, no.
The pillar is
actually kind of
evaporated now.
I, um,
Coren starts
kind of pulling
people to
Gorgamonger
going, yeah,
yeah, yeah.
I don't know
why you just
didn't make
another city
in the side
of the,
you know,
of all of
outside.
It actually
isn't an
expansion because
it's probably
just made
another city.
Hey, everyone
on the dragon.
He cannot
support your
party.
He's just a
little guy.
He's strong.
He's tough.
Oh, I,
oh, okay.
Orange summons
dragon.
Are you going
to start
casting a
spell?
I know
what cons
you go to.
Yeah, I
know.
I will, um,
if I may.
Yeah, go
ahead, go
ahead.
Uh, extend
a single
metallic
finger towards
Marlene.
I would be
very careful
your very
next actions,
for it is
true.
We five
are a
destructive
and unpredictable
lot,
and many
times have
we faced
doom,
both certain
and otherwise.
But you,
who would
trade the
world for
a city,
and would
damn its
people,
and drown
its voice,
what family
do you
hold tides
to?
Well,
no matter
what it is,
I would
make sure
that if you
plan to
kill us
all,
you do
it right
and proper.
for you
won't be
the first
one to
kill me
and regret
its
screaming.
It was
really nice
handling all
the paperwork
of your
revolution
for you.
I'll give
you a
head
start.
Ritava's
a bit
tired
after doing
all of
that.
Given
the shape
of you
and that
you're
not
sponsored
anymore,
you might
want to
run.
There's
no coming
back from
death
now.
And the
form that
is within
the amalgamate
begins to
pull back
and dissipate
into elemental
chunks as
the voice
of Marlene
gives one
final.
I have a
speech to
go give.
At this
point,
at this
point,
the,
the,
like,
the amalgamate
kind of pulls
back,
but you can
see it's,
it's getting
ready to
pounce.
And I'm
going to be
very direct
here.
You are no
longer sponsored.
So what
are you
doing?
We need
to get
out.
We need
to go.
Is Marlene
still within
visible distance?
No,
she was just
a figment
from within
the amalgamate.
She was
never here.
Go.
Even in
victory,
we are
defeated.
But this
will not
last.
I'll
see you
die.
screaming!
And I
am going
to begin
making my
absconce.
How will
we leave?
Well,
if you want
to see how
they leave,
you should
go back to
the beginning
of season
three,
where we
played through
these events
as our
non-destined
band of
chuckle fucks
ran through
a city
ablaze,
eventually
running afoul
of a
portcullis,
going through
and then
finally being
confronted by
a wall of
flame that
was approaching
them.
And though we
didn't see it in
that intro,
that episode of
the season,
episode one of
this season,
the shadow of
the unrestrained
amalgamate is
there,
and as the
party is
finally close
to the exit
of the city,
all of you
still incredibly
wounded,
all of you
still just
like,
battered and
bruised on
the verge of
death,
standing before
this flame
ready to fight,
it's
Gorgamonger
that steps
forward
and turns.
Gorgamonger,
you and
your friends
must flee
now,
I will
hold the
beast back.
Gorgamonger,
we didn't
agree on
any of
this.
No,
it is as
I said
before,
my friend,
I shall
protect you
and I
shall always
be there
for you.
It has
been a
pleasure
serving
with all
of you
as the
dragon
nods
to each
of you.
What?
What?
You seem
confused.
You could
talk this
whole time?
Yes,
of course.
What?
Having a
dragon that
could only
say
where
would be
stupid.
perhaps it
would be
paddling
your minds.
Now go.
I shall
handle this
and give
you time
to escape
into the
swamps.
Hold on,
you've already...
Worry not,
we'll meet
again.
All right.
How would you
do that,
comrade?
We've saved
your ass
one time.
You had
better not...
You'd better
not let it
be the last.
Now go!
As
Gargamunger
leaps
into the
flames
and our
incredibly
wounded,
battered,
and bruised
party
makes their
way out
of the
city,
now fully
ablaze,
as it
seems the
focal point
of fire
on this
world is
now concentrated
in one
place.
And, uh,
that's what we'll
call, uh,
season three,
y'all.
I'm
sweaty.
Good.
Holy hell.
Do we need
a second?
So with
that,
thank you all
so very much
for watching
this episode
of Rock
Grind.
If you
enjoyed
everything
that we
do here,
you can go
to patreon.com
forward slash
narrative
declaration.
You know,
help support
these types
of shows
that we
do on a
we didn't
get to do
a full
intro this
one because
of the
time that
we did,
but I
need you
to be
aware of
the amazing
players that
brought you
this episode
starting off
with Odo
Roshi.
Hi,
hello,
I'm Odo.
I've been
playing
Veena,
the
self-swashbuckler,
now extra
crispy,
and I hope
that this
was as
exciting for
you guys
as it was
for us.
Oh,
you leveled
up.
Oh,
thank you.
Level 10,
yippee.
Yay,
yippee.
The next
up we have
Hulky Crow.
That's me,
I'm Hulky Crow.
As always,
I have been
your delightful,
charming,
charred bundle
of firewood,
Rahua,
the Kanrasu
Cleric.
You can find
me at the
usual places
on Twitch
and on
Twitter.
I'm not
calling it
X,
at Hulky Crow.
I'm a
funny,
funny guy.
I do
voices and
streaming.
I do
screaming as
well,
but don't
talk about
that.
Then,
of course,
you have
the amazing
Erendil.
Hi,
I've been
Erendil.
You find me
at Twitter
at Erendilio
and nowhere
else.
Next.
And then
you have
Speaker D.
I am
Speaker D.
And you
can find me
at Twitter
at
SuperSnak
Kick.
And you
can find
Erendil and
myself,
and indeed
most,
if not
all,
of our
merry band
here on
Brother Alphabuse's
YouTube channel
on our various
projects,
Warhammer and
World of Darkness
related.
And I
would like
to resign
as president
of the bank.
Oh,
thank you.
Appreciate it.
The new
president of the
bank,
it's me.
I've been your
host for this
evening,
Zoran.
You've found
all my stuff
at ZoranTheBear.com.
But of
course,
the one who
brought us
through all
hell and
throughout
is our
glorious
game master,
Thurston
Hillman.
Another
50 episodes.
No,
hi,
everyone.
It's me.
I appreciate
y'all sticking
with it.
I do.
I don't know.
I like long-term
stories.
It's fun when
things come
together.
It's been
fun.
I can't
wait to see
where the
players go
because at
this point
they get
to pick
exactly where
they go
because they
don't have
a destiny
anymore.
so they get
to figure
their shit
out now.
They're gone.
That's all.
It's the
world of
ruin.
It is.
Yay!
That's all.
Love you
and your
faces.
And with
that,
love you all
very much,
chat.
We all
have had
amazing time
as much as
we did.
And we
will see you
next time.
So long.
Farewell.
See you
next episode.
Bye.
Bye.
Bye.
Bye,
everybody.
Goodbye.
Bye.
