Zaki:

Okay, Zaki. Stay calm. Stay calm. You've definitely seen it somewhere. Where did I put that seed?

Zaki:

I'm pretty sure I left it right here under this rock. Or was it the other rock? Do you know how rare that seed was? It's not every day you find a seed that sparkles in the sunlight and smells like cinnamon toast. Maybe someone took it, or what if a sneaky squirrel stole it?

Zaki:

Alright. I'll just wait here. I'll catch that thief red pawed. Oh. They won't get away with this.

Zaki:

I've got patience. I'll sit here for as long as it takes. Okay. This is boring. Waiting is hard.

Zaki:

Why didn't anyone warn me that patience feels like sitting through a 3 hour lecture about sand? Oh, wait. It's in my nest. I totally forgot. Found it.

Zaki:

Crisis averted everyone. You can relax. I'd make a terrible detective. Good thing I'm a storyteller instead.

Meraj Digital presents the amazing stories with Zaki the Hoopoe.

Zaki:

Episode 14, prophet Ayyub and the Patience.

Zaki:

Salam my wonderful listeners. It's me, Zaki, your trusty Hoopoe bird, back with another amazing story. Are you ready to hear about someone who had more patience than a parent waiting for their kid to stop asking, are we there yet? Well, let's meet prophet Ayyub, peace be upon him.

Zaki:

Once upon a time, in a peaceful land filled with green fields and clear skies, there lived a kind and humble man named Ayyub. Allah had blessed him with everything. He was healthy, wealthy and had a big, happy family. But what made Ayyub special wasn't just his blessings, It was how he used them. Instead of keeping his wealth all to himself, he gave to the poor, helped the needy, and always thanked Allah.

Zaki:

I mean, come on. Isn't that what we should all do? If I had a whole bag of seeds, I'd totally share all my seeds. Okay. Maybe not all of them, but you get the idea.

Zaki:

But then Ayyub's life changed in ways no one could imagine. It all began with his wealth. Overnight, everything he owned, his fields, his crops, and his animals was destroyed. A terrible storm swept through the land, leaving nothing behind. Can you imagine that?

Zaki:

All those fields he worked so hard to grow his crops, gone just like that. And yet, Ayyub didn't complain. He simply said, Allah gives and Allah takes. I am still grateful. Wow.

Zaki:

I'm pretty sure I'd be flapping my wings in shock if that happened to me, but it didn't stop there. Next, Ayyub faced the unthinkable. His children, whom he loved more than anything, all passed away in a tragic accident. It broke his heart, but even then, Ayyub said, Allah's plan is wiser than ours. I don't know about you, but that's the kind of heartbreak no one should ever have to face. And still, Ayyub held on to his faith. He trusted Allah, even when everything seemed lost. Just when you think it couldn't get worse, Ayyub became very sick. Painful sores covered his body and he couldn't move without feeling sharp pain.

Zaki:

The people in his town who once loved him began to whisper behind his back. Maybe he did something wrong, they said. Why else would all this happen to him? Now, that's just unfair. As if someone's hardships mean they deserve it, but do you know what Ayub did?

Zaki:

Nothing. He didn't argue. He didn't shout. He just stayed patient. Even when his friends and neighbors avoided him, like a hummingbird avoids a withered flower, he stayed strong.

Zaki:

Honestly, how do people think that way? It's like saying, oh, you tripped over a pebble? You must have upset the pebble gods. Ridiculous. There was one person who never left Ayyub's side, his amazing wife.

Zaki:

She worked hard, taking care of him and finding ways to support them. She stayed by his side through every storm, every pain, and every tear. But even the strongest need help sometimes. After years of enduring so much, Ayyub finally prayed to Allah. He said, oh Allah, I am suffering, and you are the most merciful.

Zaki:

Just one simple heartfelt prayer, and Allah responded immediately. Allah told Ayub to strike the ground with his foot. When he did, a fresh spring of water burst out. He drank from it, bathed in it, and poof, his health was restored. No more pain.

Zaki:

No more sores. He was completely healed. But that's not all. Allah didn't just restore his health, he blessed Ayyub with more wealth than he had before. His fields flourished, his animals returned, and his family grew.

Zaki:

It was like the start of a brand new life. And you know what? All those people who doubted him, they learned a big lesson that day. They saw that Allah rewards patience and never forgets his faithful servants. It's a reminder that no matter how tough life gets, Allah's mercy is even greater.

Zaki:

See? Good things really do come to those who wait. So my friends, what did we learn today? Prophet Ayyub showed us that patience and faith can help us through the toughest challenges. Even when things feel impossible, Allah's help is always near.

Zaki:

Now your homework, yes, homework is to practice patience this week. Whether it's waiting for your turn to play a game or staying calm when your little sibling borrows your favorite toy, let's see how you do. And before I go, here's a sneak peek at next week's episode. Next time we're diving into a tale about a very special promise, and a prophet who teaches us all about keeping our word. That's right.

Zaki:

Our next adventure is about prophet Yahya. So fluff up your feathers, stay curious, and I'll see you soon for another amazing story.
