Um, so, uh, yeah, now we've got that all the way Marissa. Let's, uh, let's go through the episode. All right. As you mentioned, this is Battle of the Proxy because we have a very interesting situation going on. Um, the, there was a murder. Brandi Colavito. Kto. Brandi was murdered. Colavito was murdered at Alama.
AKA Lollapalooza. Like they really tried, they really tried. [00:02:00] Um, she was murdered at Lollapalooza and then, well, Alama, I don't, I don't wanna get sued. Um, murdered at Alama and then her body was dumped in Manuka. Okay. Manuka is mentioned 800 gazillion times in the show. Uh, it's about two hours south east of Chicago.
Mm-hmm. Just for your Illinois geography thing. And is also the birthplace of, I just blanked on his name, but the guy who played Ron Swanson. Oh, Nick Erman. Nick Erman. Yes. If you watch if, or if you, if you look for it, he did a reading of the Community calendar of Manuka with Stephen Colbert. Oh, wow. That's fun.
Um, yes, it's close by, but not too close by. Um, but what makes this interesting is, yes, Brandy was one person that was murdered, but there are two people being charged with this murder. One person in Chicago and one person in Manuka. Um, [00:03:00] so we've got Will and Laura battling it out in Chicago, and then we've got Alma and the state's attorney there and Judge Murf battling it out in Manuka.
We found a way to get Judge Murph back into our lives. We were, we were coming. We, I think we both enjoyed Murph, uh, back when, uh, we were, our people were defending Questa in his little issue. Uh, so we were like, hi. I wonder how we would get Murph back. I would love to see Murph in his, in his own court.
'cause in the Quest thing, he was like a. I forgot what it was called, but it wasn't an official judge capacity. He came in as special. Yeah, a special judge. So it was like, oh, I wonder what Murphy's gonna be like in his own space. And now we got to kind of see it. I thought Murphy was a little more toned down than he was in the other episode.
Um, but it's, well, he like in his home base, you know. Yeah. He's, he's comfy. Yeah. In the Chicago trial. Um, we've seen this judge as well. She was the judge that like. Held out for will and like gave will [00:04:00] some time to make thing ha something happen for him, I think, if I'm remembering correctly. Yeah, she's, she's the, uh, she, I feel like she's the very like, liberal judge.
Yes. She is on the side of most defenses and, uh, you know, uh, will. We'll, kind of, we'll kind of try and bend the rules as much as she can without breaking them. For what? For causes that she feels are good. I'll say that. Yes. Yes. I feel like she would be the closest to what Diane might be if she was a judge.
Good call. Yeah, I like that. I like that. Uh, she's told Will like, Hey, uh, you can't, you're gonna try this case, but you cannot talk about what's going on in Manuka at all. You can't talk about the guy, you can't talk about Manuka as a place, like, don't even bring it up. Um, and there's a conversation up at the bench where Laura's like, he's trying to get a mistrial here.
Like that's, that's what's going on. And the judge is like, cool. Well, I will hold him in contempt and find him $10,000 if he does that. But if the man in Manuka is convicted before this trial ends in Chicago, that evidence may be [00:05:00] presented to the jury for their consideration in this case. Yeah, because Will has been trying to delay this case because he wants the other case to wrap up so that if that guy's found guilty, then we don't even, you don't have to worry about this case.
'cause as soon as you tell the, the jury that someone's been found guilty, then they're o obviously they are gonna be like, well, I mean he was, the other guy's found guilty, so our guy's not guilty. Right. So that's what Will has been wanting. Will's been waiting for this. Will's been delaying, uh, all he can, you know, I, these two people, the guy that we, we are in with in Chicago is, I guess the guy that went with, uh, Brandy.
Brandy to the, to the concert. This person has been accused in Manuka is Brandy's ex-boyfriend. So they, with stalker tendencies, stalker vibes, uh, so they both have kind of motives and means to have done this. So it's a very kind of like, who done it? Aspect to this, which I really, really enjoy. Um, I love the puzzle of it, of figuring out, like who did it and how they did it.
Um, shout out to Smuth that, you know mm-hmm. [00:06:00] Doesn't really do that, but, uh, you know, whatever. Yeah. Yeah. It's still a little mystery for SMU at least. Um, but I, I love cases where we have to, like, find a result and that we don't, we don't really know what's going on until close to the end. Yeah. I also like it because throughout this case, it really does remind us that while lawyers are fighting for justice and things like that, at the end of the day, defense lawyers gotta defend their clients no matter what, what's going on.
And so having these two people tried for the same thing in different places kind of adds to that, um, conversation as well. So, Will's doing his thing there. Alicia is. Out in Manuka, and she's trying to help the state's attorney there because again, if that case gets called or that guy gets find, found guilty, Manuka man is what I'll be calling him throughout this entire thing.
Welcome man. If Manuka man gets found guilty, then Chicago man is off the hook. So Alicia's trying to help, but the state's attorney doesn't want any help. He is like, not from these big city [00:07:00] people. Um, so Alicia calls Will and Will's like, okay, he's gonna want her help tell him to look into Clay loam, because that is the type of soil that was at UL Alterama.
And that was, you know, just, just look into it. Just look into it. And she, she writes this down. Alicia writes this down and she's gonna write a brief on it. It comes into play in another storyline in a minute, but. Clay Lo big part of this whole thing. I do. I do like how, you know, uh, will Alicia talk on the phone?
And they're, they're, they're, you know, comparing notes. She's like, how's it going there? He's like, it's going all right, but I wish you're here to handhold. The client and also me. Alicia, I wish you were here to handle well, I dunno, Jason. Yeah. We'll discuss this through our conversations, but there may be some vibes going other ways now for Will.
I don't know. Yeah, very true. Very true. But I thought it was interesting how like they, every, every time they have like a little tender moment, I'm just like, oh, oh, is this like, what [00:08:00] is this? He's like, I wish you were, I wish you were here to handhold the client. I was like, oh, wish we wish I was here. Huh?
Okay. She's like, I'm sure you're doing a fine job Will. He's like, oh, I'm not sure. I taught you how to hold hands. Yeah. Tab of flirting, tab Mana. The gr, the Grumpy County evidence guy is on the stand and he's basically says that there was a shoe impression that was identical. Identical. One that was found at the Alterama site, the murder site, and one that was found at the Manuka where the body was found site.
Um, and they said, well, these shoes match Manuka man, so that should be. That should be it. But the defense attorney who we should mention is the mom from girls, but what's her actual name? The mom from girls, uh, Becky Ann Baker, I think was the name, right? Yeah. Becky Ann Baker brings up, she's like, oh, well you tested against my client's shoe, but did you test, test against Chicago guys' Shoe?
Well, and Alma is the character's name. Yes. I wasn't sure, but the actress or the character? The [00:09:00] character's name is Alma. Yeah. Alma's, her actual name. Yes. So, um. They're like, oh yeah, nope, nope, I didn't do that in Manuka, in the Grundy County, but they did in Chicago, and they think that it matches the Chicago guys thing.
So we got a piece of evidence that, again, isn't really helping us in this case. Meanwhile, Alicia's like watching all this because like you said, the, uh, the sex attorney guy is just like, I don't need your help. Get, get lost lady. Alicia's like, oh, you're in trouble, huh? How about this? Take this. You're, you're, you're losing.
You need this. Like, get him, Alicia, get 'em. And it's all this information about Klo. Um, this gets Alicia noticed by Murph. She, he's like, Hey, I know you. What are you doing here? And um, basically the information that Alicia passes over is that, that the soil from the concert, clay Lom, is super unique. So this is the [00:10:00] only way that Manuka guy could get this on his shoes is if he was at the concert.
But there can't, there can't be any other thing that happens. No. Where Clay Lo will come into place. It's super rare. You'll find that it would be in the same state. No, you wouldn't find Clay Lo anywhere else. Especially like, but at Alama it would be so weird that it was two and a half hours away also.
Yeah. That's outta my, outta the way. There's no, there's no weird coincidence that's gonna take place here at all. Get that outta your mind. Yeah. And in this Almar reminds us, but like Manuka man didn't go to the concert, so how, how could he have gotten this mysterious, rare clay loam on his shoes? Right. Uh, then we meet Brent Clawson from OL Security on the stand in Chicago.
He, he is very proud of his company because the first thing he does when he has identifying himself, he's like, Brent Clawson from OL Security, we are first, we are fast. Now, a couple ties throughout [00:11:00] this, this questioning of people, I'm be like, this guy did it. Mm-hmm. This guy. Mm-hmm. This guy killed Brandy.
I was like, I know, I'm sure this guy killed Brandy, I'm sure of it. But, uh, you know, whether I was right or wrong, we'll see. But I was like, I, 'cause I, I was like, maybe it wasn't e maybe it was neither of those two guys. Maybe it was someone else. And this was the first guy. I was like, Hmm, this guy's suspicious.
He's security. He quote unquote saw the guy, saw her going into the woods. Yeah. And she has disappeared. Right guy. Right, right, right. Yeah. And I was also really trying to place, like, there really aren't any woods around Lalapalooza. I'm just letting you know. Um, but. His whole thing was like, I saw him, I saw this man, Chicago guy there screaming or talking to the defendant and Brandy was screaming.
Brandy was like all screaming. And so, um, then after that I ran into the woods, couldn't find her, and Will was like, oh, okay, well did you get these earplugs [00:12:00] from the venue? I was like, yeah. Okay, cool. Can you put them on? I'm gonna have my colleague go out in the hallway here and just yell and we're gonna see if you could hear.
So Kalinda goes out there and she's like, I'm not getting murdered. I am just, or like, just screaming. I'm not getting murdered or something like that. And, um, Brent in fact, cannot hear her with the earplugs in. This is funny 'cause he puts the earplugs in will talks in from like 10 feet away and the guy's like, huh?
He is like, oh. He's like, yeah, okay. This is gonna go real well. And he cle does her, does her demonstration. Uh, and so it's like, huh, guess my point's. Proven. Yeah. And this gets Laura, like, Laura's like giving her, she is being like really confident in front of Will. She's doing like the best that she can, but she sees Matton in the hallway and it's like, Hey, I'm gonna need some help.
And it was, I was like, oh, Matan, Matan still here. Matan still works with essay's office. I'm happy that to know that Matton's still running around being Matan, [00:13:00] uh, and his cocky, arrogant self. Um, so I was like, okay, cool. I'm, I'm happy he's still around. He's still here. He's still here, especially since you've gotten so many people now that work for the A-U-A-S-A-A as a's office.
We've, we've met two new ones in the last few episodes. Laura and Bucky from the last episode is now part of the as a's office. So Nice. Still baton, was it, uh, you know, pushed out. Yes, yes. Back in Manuka, we have captain to Resnick on the stand and he's saying that before the concert he did not, like right before the concert, but in time before the concert, he, uh, responded to a domestic violence call at Brandy's with Manuka man there as prior to the murder.
Um, and at this point, Mattan shows up in Monica. He is like, Hey, hey, defense attorney. Here is some evidence. Here's some stuff. And what's in the folder is some comments from the Chicago Police Department. About a conversation that was had [00:14:00] by the Manuka police officer, captain Tim Resnick. And so Alma goes and says, Hey, did you like, when did you first think that it was my guy that did this?
He's like, oh, I keep an open mind. Mm-hmm. Like never, I never thought this. Um, but then when you look in the evidence from the Chicago Police Department, there's some notes saying police officer from Manuka thinks he did it. Basically. Yeah. 'cause he is like, well, you know, I didn't, I didn't think anything of until I saw the evidence from Chicago.
And they're like, oh, interesting. 'cause it seems like you are the one that sought out the Chicago PD to tell them to be on the watch out for this guy. So he already had kind of like a, a motive pre-judgment of this guy before anything else happened. So I was like, Ooh, shut down. Yeah. Get your testimony outta here.
You don't matter. And at the same time, MUR is like, this is beautiful. We've got defense attorneys helping prosecutors, prosecutors helping defense attorney. God love this. This is so great. Alicia. Then calls [00:15:00] Will, um, just to like, give him an update. And at this point Laura walks by, he is like, how's it going in Manuka?
And Will's like, okay, loser buys drinks. Like he's, he's trying to game it up and you know, we have seen these two in court before and it was like, will really did Haze Laura. And so Laura's really coming into her own against Will this time. And this was, it's around now. It's just like, is there something, there's something going on here.
Yeah. Yeah. So there's some, some energy, some some chemistry happening here. Vibes as they say. Vibes as the kids say. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Uh, over in Manuka there's a discussion going on about whether we can admit. Crime scene photos from that trunk of a car in Cook County. It's like Cook County evidence. This is not in Cook County.
Monuc is not in Cook County, it's in Grundy County. Um, and also with that is the trace evidence that comes from that showing fibers from Brandy's clothes. And they bring up this thing called the fruits of the poisonous tree. [00:16:00] And what that basically means is that if the source, the tree of the evidence or the evidence itself is tainted, then anything gained AKA, the fruit is tainted from it as well.
So in this instance, the evidence, the evidence being the photos from the trunk of the car and the fruit being the trace evidence from those photos, that would be tainted. So Well, because the, the evidence was apparently found without a warrant. Without a warrant, yes. So, so that validates everything that comes from that trunk.
Right, exactly. Um. And Murphy's like, okay, cool. But like that happened in Chicago. Like this was an evidence of obtained by, you know, Grundy County people. This was Cook County people. So the tree being in Chicago, the roots don't come all this way. So I'm going to admit the evidence. I was like, as if Chicago is just some like fantasy [00:17:00] land that has nothing to do, that's not even on Earth.
It's like, well, I mean, it was still like, I, I feel like locations shouldn't matter if it was, if the evidence was obtained illegally. I think so too. It shouldn't matter, but me's like, nah, we good. And this is where it really just starts to turn into, uh, Alicia and Matan, like Shadow Puppeting. Mm-hmm. The, the, the Grundy County people, because they're just literally just talking to their person and then talking to Murph.
Like, it's like every, is everything's just passing through Matan and Alicia through, through these people. It's so funny. And Murph's obviously had enough of these. He's like, this is ridiculous. Yeah. I will tell you though, because Chicago is on the lake, and I'm sure this is true in other places, but sometimes when you're driving into the city it does look like Oz.
It does look like some magical land because there is like, or at least it did to me as a child, even though I can't see behind my eyes. Um, it did look like a little magical land, but anywho, okay, so then back in Chicago, we [00:18:00] have Brock, you know, Brock, Brock, Brock. And he like went to the to Ulta Rama for all three days and it was killer man.
It was killer. And I went with Brandy and it was awesome. Speaking of killer. I was like, yeah, exactly. This guy's the killer. This guy did it. And I did not put him in my guest star research 'cause I forgot. But now we're on Brock. Brock was Penguin in Gotham, so, and oh, it was also on Walking Dead for like a minute and then he got like real fast.
Um, I was like, oh yeah, that guy, the penguin. Hey Penguin, what's up? My guy. Um, I mean a real like, great role in Gotlin. He was the, he was the penguin. It was a really good role. Uh, he hasn't done much since, but yeah, I wanted to call him out as well. Nice. Uh, but as soon as he starts talking, I'm like, okay, well this guy, this guy definitely killed Brandy.
Yeah. He, and he's on there and he is saying like, I saw a guy with a blanket over his shoulder and then putting it into the trunk and the both Laura and Will are on their objections rally again. Mm-hmm. Going [00:19:00] back and forth or volley more like it, going back and forth, back and forth. When it comes time for will to question Brock, such as you, how do you think to drink?
Like, I had a couple beers. How much is a couple. Seven or eight. I just, you know, seven or eight. Yeah, it was like, that's, that's more than a couple, sir. That's several. According to Survivor. Um, yes, yes, exactly. It is several, several plus. Yeah. Um, and you know, I may have had some pot, like I, I don't know. Um, and, but during his questioning, he brings up the fact that this blanket had a mountain on it and Will's doing his best to say like, oh, isn't that convenient that you're just bringing this up now?
Brock is like, well, I remember it now. So this is, now we're looking for a blanket with a mountain on it. Yeah. And Will's moving at this point to have Brock identify someone else. And Laura cuts him off at the pass and says, can I approach the bench? Please judge, we need to have a conversation here. This is what's gonna happen.
Will's gonna show a picture of the [00:20:00] Manuka man and have the guy, um, identify him as it could be. Bat guy, so therefore he's going, he's going against your rules, judge. Like he's bringing up Manuka man. We cannot bring up Manuka man and Will's like. Well, uh, okay. No, it was, it was so funny because first of all, for her to call him out like that, like to tattle to the judge, but he's like, judge, judge, judge.
He's gonna, he, he's gonna do something bad. He's gonna do something you told him not to do and for Will, because she's like, he's, he's gonna, he's gonna show you the picture of, uh, Manuka and he's gonna like, have, have the witness misidentify this guy as the murderer. So then Will's gonna be like, aha. Like Will's gonna pull one of his old tricks.
Will's gonna be like, aha. You see, he just identified the man in Manuka, so he cannot be my client. Ha ha ha. Laura cut his ass off in the past, like, Nope, nope, nope. Will's like, what do you what? No, [00:21:00] no. I judge. I was not gonna do that. That was not ju how could you accuse me and Laura's like. So that photo over there that you were about to present is not the Manuka guy.
It was like, it was like, oh, here's the thing. Right? Like, and it was also so funny 'cause he's like. This is outrageous. Yeah. It was just so bad. He was like, what? No. Get what? No, it like, basically like this is the white version of like, see what had happened was like, you know, and so it's like, it was like, yes, okay, I was going to do what?
She just, well, and then he like continues. He's like, yeah, but judge, like the, like the jury doesn't know that there's another guy out there and I need to like let my guy like give another guy for my guy. And she's like, it's legit. Yeah, I know. You're like $10,000 in the hole now. Yeah, the manslaughter is whining, but, but judge, you won't, lemme mention the other trial and you have to know, judge, why won't you let me?
She's like, okay bro, $10,000 for your [00:22:00] troubles. Oh, oh, oh, I see. And 10, obviously $10,000 is nothing to Will. He's just like, oh, 10,000. Me, I'd be cry. I'd be on the floor in a ball crying like I now owe someone just $10,000. Just like that. I'm assuming. I don't know. If I were a lawyer, I would have a contempt of court fund that I have just in case.
Just in case I get it. It's Bill $10,000. Oh no. Yeah, exactly. No, I'm not saying it's any like chunk of change, but, uh, like not a small chunk of change, but I, I just am like, I just often wonder about that because Will is, gets caught in contempt a lot uhhuh because he is always pushing the edge. So like he's gotta have like a finance guy that's just like, okay, you're allowed three contempts this, this month.
You know, if you pull back then maybe next month you could have five. Um, I do like when walking away from the bench though, Laura calls calls well out and says, how's it feel to be so predictable? Yeah. I love that [00:23:00] she's giving it to him as good. She's getting it. Yes, yes. At this point, Kalinda known for hi her investigative skills, her.
Sneaky her. All of these things, uh, does the masterful work of flipping a logo? Listen, no, this is, this is, this has happened with Glinda before Glinda be bomb at one of those, like find the differences puzzles, like Yeah, totally. Find, find the five differences. She is a very perceptive person. We've seen it before.
You've seen her look at something like, oh, it's this, this and this thing. And this is obviously one. Those was like, oh, okay. Yeah. If you flip this, it looks like a mountain. There you go. You got your murder. Boom guy. Yeah. Well, because like the logo of Chicago guys workplace is, he works for like a water treatment plant or something like that.
And it's a w with a wave at the bottom, and if you turn it over, it looks like a mountain. Um, so this was like the contribution. It's, [00:24:00] she's like, okay, our guy's guilty. Like this is what it is. And Alicia's like, well, what are we gonna do now? And will's like, we have to. Represent our client with zeal, like ze fully, zeal fully.
I forget how he said it, but like, we have to continue repre to represent our client. We don't have to like it, but that's our job. Like, that's where we're at. And this goes back to like Alicia's, like first season, Alicia, where she's like, put the law, what do we do? And here she stays with it a little bit more.
Well, yeah, because she at this point, like she's in a, she's in a quite a quandary because now she's put in a position where she's, she still has to help the SA County convict a man that they now have good, good reason to think is innocent. She's like, so I'm now gonna be working to put an innocent man in jail.
That's, that's what I should be doing. Yay. We don't gotta like it, we just gotta do it. Like, it's just, that's just our job. Sorry. My bad. And so, [00:25:00] yeah, it, it really puts her in this kind of a bind and you see her like, as, as she moves forward in Manuka being like kind of tentative about helping, helping this, this, uh, helping Lee, the state's attorney convict, uh, Manuka man, but she doesn't hold back when Mattan is on the stand.
At least that's when one playground she's willing to go into your, um, she's still tentative. She's, because Lee looks at her like, what else she got? And she's like, uh, Tillman. I don't know. Well, yeah, but I think that's like about Matton's character as opposed to the case itself. You know what I mean? Like, it's not.
It is working in the favor of the defense attorney or of the state's attorney. You're correct there, but it, it's not like evidence that she is like passing over or anything like that. Um, so Matton's on the stand and almost trying to get her, get him to say like, basically we never thought Manuka man could have done this because all of the evidence goes towards Chicago guy.
Um, and when Alicia tells Lee, the state's [00:26:00] attorney to go for the Tillman case, um, he's like, Hey, Madon, you're pretty confident that it was Mada man. Yeah. He's like, yeah. Or that it was Chicago guy. Yeah. Oh, confident. Were confident like you were with the Tillman case and that guy just got exonerated. Is that, is that what your confidence does?
Is, is that your confidence compass here? I love, I love Matan when he gets like really upset. Like, because Matan has been served a few times on this show. Like they use Matan a lot for like a whipping boy for things like, and this is one of those moments where Matan gets show like, oh, like, yeah, but you also were sure about Tillman and you, you kind of sucked at that 'cause you sit innocent man to jail.
So what do you say about that? He's like that that was a wholly different thing. Batons like trying to defend himself because, so defensive, uh, I just love a perturbed baton. Yeah. And Murph let it in 'cause it goes towards the Matton's character, like the character of the witness that was there. So that gets on the record.
Uh, back at the office again. I just wanna [00:27:00] mention it is two and a half hours between Manuka and Chicago. Just in case. Just in case you wondering, um, we're tele, we're teleporting again. Yeah. Yeah. Carrie, Carrie shows up and the Carrie carrie's there and he's on the phone and he lets us know that strangely.
Where Manuka man worked. They had the same soil. They had the clay loam. Jason. Yeah. So and so. It just so happens to be this big coincidence that we were told Clay loam is so rare and so unique. It can't be in two places. Well, guess what? It's in two places. JK just so happens it's, it, it's, it's so happens that this exact case that has the exact two people that we need to be talking to both walked around in clay alone soil.
Yes. And Alicia, again, is having like a crisis of conscious here. She's like, I don't know what to do. I'm curious. Like, yeah, they didn't, they didn't cover this one in law school. Like, I don't know what to tell. It turns [00:28:00] out both juries find both men guilty at conveniently the exact same time. Yeah. I, I love when the, when Manuka man is found guilty, Lee turns to Alicia.
He's like, kind of smile at me. He's like, yeah, awesome. And Alicia's like, yeah, great. So fun. So fun. Will does end up making good on his bet with Laura and buys her drinks. Um, and he does say in this conversation like, Hey, our case is done. Well, we can give evidence to help Minooka man in his appeal.
Whatever helps you sleep at night. Will whatever helps you sleep at night? That guy's still gonna be sitting in prison for probably a few months before until his appeal. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. And they have a little toast to the next one. And there are some vibes here as well, I think, Jason. Yeah, we're vibing, we're really vibing.
I'm wondering, uh, boy, I wonder how Lisa's gonna feel when that, when that thing comes out, comes up. If it does. I don't remember anything about this. If Will and Hellinger do end up, I don't remember doing [00:29:00] something. But, uh, if it does, Lisa's gonna feel a certain way. 'cause she know she's, she's brought up Hellinger from a baby lawyer to, she got her job.
And now that job has led to possibly a relationship between Will and Hellinger. I'm surely she's gonna feel a certain way about that. And we were like worried about Anna Camp. Remember? Yeah, yeah. So, so long ago. Uh, and that just kind of went caly. What's the character's name? Yeah. Caitlin. Caitlin. Yep. Yep.
So that was our case. Of the week. We had some other stuff going on. Case was fun. It was interesting. It was alright. It was good. Yeah. It, yeah. I liked the dual, like the dual cases going on at the same time and the interplay between the two of them. And also, like you mentioned at the top of like not really knowing who did what.
Yeah. It kind of ended up being a nothing burger, but still it was, it was fun. It was good. Uh, you know what, this could be the last time we talk about this, I, I don't know, could be fingers crossed. Fingers crossed, crossed be, but we did have some action in the Kalinda and Nick world. [00:30:00] Um, Nick shows up at the office and it's like big man on Campusing it, you know, like just man spreading all over the conference room and it's like, listen, I don't want Carrie on my case anymore.
I want either you talking to Alicia or the partners and. Alicia's like, well, I'm kind of busy. What's this about? And he says, Carrie accused me of running drugs. Carrie, Carrie said I was running drugs in my cars. Can you believe that? What, what, what? Say what? She, he accused you of doing exactly what you're doing.
And Alicia's like, huh? She's like, oh yeah. So you're definitely running drugs in your cars. Mm-hmm. Great. Cool. Yeah. And she takes, I love this play that she does here, because she's like, yeah, okay, let me go talk to the partners. Walk down the hall. Think about it for a minute. Turn around. She's like, it's, it's no longer in our benefit to represent you.
Yeah. And that was my old move, [00:31:00] uh, back when I was working on the floor at Target. Like, oh, do we have it in the back? Lemme go check. Oh yeah, for sure. Yeah. Look in the back. Play on the phone. Look at my watch. Well, the thing, oh, you know what? Yeah, we don't have any more in the back. I think the thing that people don't, at least when I was working at the Disney store is like I know what's in the back.
Like if I told you, I don't think we have one in the back target's a bit bigger, but like I was like, okay, I'll go in the back, confirm that I don't have anything in the back and walk back out. No, I wasn't trying to call anybody. No. Yeah, you just, I've got a little, I've got a little device here that when I scan the label, yeah.
It tells me if I have any in the back. I, it already told me. I don't, I already told you. It told me I don't, but you still want me to check? Um, this is some magic out of inventory thing that you want. Is this going to magically appear? So I guess I will humor. That is a hangover from like the nineties.
Hopefully that's no longer [00:32:00] something people are being asked in 2025. Yeah. It it, oh, it, it is because I'm, I'm still around that world. It, it definitely is. Oh my gosh. Um, but yeah, we have inventory systems now. Okay. What, it tells us where things are, but, but I, I will tell you that, uh, there are a lot of instances where like things are not checked, checked in mm-hmm.
Through the back. So, I mean, it is a, it is possible, but uh, you also, if it's not checked into an inventory system, you're not gonna find it. 'cause it would be like finding a needle in a haystack if it's not, uh, logged into the back room, let just say that. Yeah. It's really rough to find stuff that's not logged for sure.
Um, okay. So we're no longer gonna represent you and. He's like, you didn't talk to the partners, you talked to Carrie. Nigga's always so wrong. Like niggas is always wrong with everything. Like, he's like, I know what happened here. Like, no, you don't, like, you have no idea what's going on. Like you think, you think that, oh, Kalinda is effing Carrie.[00:33:00]
He's like, when I love, like, it is just like when he call, when he redialed the number, clinda called and got Carrie at his Alicia's song. He's like, aha, I knew it. Cda. This is a bag of Carrie. He is like, no, you're wrong again. Uh, he's, he's, he's loud, loud and wrong as you like to call it. Yeah, no kidding. No kidding.
And he is like, okay, I'm gonna walk out, but I'm gonna do it Nick style. Basically. He's like, don't you ever say anything about this drug thing ever? And it was just like, huh? And he's like, yeah, because like attorney client privilege and all that, she's like, interesting thing about attorney client privilege is that it doesn't hold up when there's a threat.
So, are you threatening me? Is that what's happening? And he's all big boy about it, and he is like, well, that's up to you. Like you decide, blah, blah, blah, blah. Nikki, Nikki, loud and wrong. He is loud and wrong again. Yes, I know, I know about attorney client privilege. Like, well, actually you don't really, because if you did, you'd know this [00:34:00] thing.
So Alicia goes and tells Kalinda is like, Hey, should I be afraid of your husband? Uh, did I do the right thing? Um,
this is probably about the fifth or sixth time Alicia has asked, Kalinda, is your husband dangerous? Should I be afraid of him? It's like, okay, I, I think you've already had the vibe. You already got the idea. Yes, Alicia, he's dangerous. And she's also then like, yeah, like, but I'm not in danger. Like he can be dangerous, but I'm not in danger.
Right. Kda is like, uh, you won't be. Oh, so, so that means I am now like I am currently in danger, which you're going to try and get me out of danger. That's what you won't be means to me. So she do I need to go hide at this point? Yeah. Kalinda um, decides to then take this into her own hands and does very kalinda things.
She finds like a van or something, gets in a van [00:35:00] and goes to visit the, the tow yard and basically sees Bill working on a car and decides, Hey, I know what, I'll get his attention. What if I try to ram him into the car? What if that's the thing I try to do. Oh, he escapes. I know what I'll do. I'll reverse run over him.
Poor Bill. Bill just cannot catch a break. You know, in the, the beginning of the season, Kalinda beat his ass, you know, at, at her apartment. Now he's getting run over and buy cars and tow yard. Yeah. Still can't catch a break. Well, and then he like, tries to pull out a gun and she takes a gun and like discharges that buys head, which is apparently like a calling card of these people.
This is a thing that they have done a couple of times. Um, and while she's looking through the car, like looking Well, no, she, she shot the trunk open is what she did. Oh. She shot the trunk open. Which I don't think is actually a thing you can, like, I don't think there's a Well, kalinda can, huh? Kalinda can.
Yeah. But is there actually a mechanism, like, I don't think you could shoot anything on the trunk that, like, that would open the trunk. I don't It was an old car. Old car. Old car [00:36:00] Probably. Yeah. What, what did you shoot the lock? Like what did, what did she do? Yeah, she probably Shoot, shoot, shoot. It shot the, the.
Trunk. I don't know. I don't know anything about goods. Don't, I think that only make it anything about the gun things. I don't think that only make it harder to open the trunk because you destroyed the lock. I don't think it opens the lock. You know what I mean? Like, I just wanted to know the mechanics of that.
Like someone get, be MythBusters on the phone. I was gonna say, get MythBusters on it. They'll figure it out. They'll figure it out. She just find drugs in the trunk of that car. And she's like, tell Nick I'll be at the office. Time to end this. She she looked at the drugs like, oh, Nick, like, did she not know he was running drugs?
Like I know I, you had to know he was something bad. I, I don't know why she's surprised at, at finding drugs. Like he's a drug runner. Does she think he was actually being legit and running a legit tow truck operation? Like, Lin, you smart than that? I don't know if she is because this whole like, Hey, I'm gonna [00:37:00] beat the office tactic thing.
I don't know, whatever it is. Like, Hey, I'm gonna be waiting here. Um, I do love, I I do love that. She was like, you can mess with me all you want. Come after Alicia. No, that's the last straw. This, this, this connection that Kalinda has to Alicia is like quite intense. Like it's a little weird and it doesn't go both ways obviously because of things that happened, but the, the, the, the connection that Kalinda feels to to Alicia is, is very serious.
Yes, yes. We, she does wait at the office for Nick who apparently can just get in the office when no one's there. And why did the, why did the elevator doors open and close one time? Like, is, was there a ghost? Is Nick invisible? What happened? I don't know. I don't know. She is, she tells him you're leaving. I called the cops.
The cops are already at the yard. They're gonna get you. He's like, oh yeah, I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna, don't call the cops. You didn't call the cops. Just like your bus way outta here is to cross the border. I put $20,000 and here's a key. Take it and [00:38:00] run. And there's nothing left for us here. He's like, uh oh, you called the cops.
Well, what's your plan B? And we don't see, we don't see what happens, what the plan B is. But we do see, yeah, go ahead. I, I do like that clinda like circled. So you're gonna cross the border here. Here, i, I staked it out. And this is the best way for you to cross the border. Uh uh, and she also has, well, she says, I, I.
Put my half of the 20,000 in this locker, you're gonna go get the money outta the locker and get the hell outta town still. Like, I wish you could have gotten the backstory on what this 20,000 was, why it was important. Like I just assu, I, I guess I can assume that this is some money that she took when Nick went to jail and that's what I'm assuming.
Yeah. I'm assuming. And that she had it hidden her in her wall in case she ever needed it. But then she knew Nick was gonna come back, so she took her part and put it by the border. Just in case she needs it. In case she needed to [00:39:00] run. Yeah. Um, yeah, it was, it was, you know, across the border right here. I circled it for you and everything.
And he, he's, he's like, you, you didn't call the cops. I don't, I don't think you killed the cops. K. I met this, this accent is gone all over the place. I was gonna say, where are we? Where are we now? I, yeah. I don't think you called the cops Clinda. I don't think you did. And she, he basically calls her bluff, which I don't know if she actually, do you think she actually called the cops or didn't call the cops?
I think she did. However, I don't know if she waited for that to resolve, because what we see in the bar, Alicia and Kalinda meeting for a drink, guess things are, you know, hunky dory. She's going well. Yeah. Um, but she kalinda is a little late. So Alicia calls and is like, Hey, like, where are you? And as she call finishes that call, Kalinda comes in and like, what did I miss?
And Clinda looks like relieved, but then also weird. Worried. Yeah. And yeah. Um, and Aaliyah's like, [00:40:00] so he's gone. He's like, yeah, you sure he is not gonna come back? And he, she's like, he's not coming back. And if I was leisha, I'd be like, you answered that weird. Did you kill him? Yeah, exactly. Like from the store.
Like he's not coming back from where, where, where is he not coming back from? If someone said he's not coming back in that kind of cadence and rhythm, like, did you, did you murder him? Is that, is that what you're trying to undercover? Tell me. Uh, I mean that's what they're trying to undercover tell us. But I, and I know, I honestly do not remember at all.
No clue. Um, so I don't know, do we, what do we think happened with Nick? Will we ever see Nick again? What did she do to Nick? What happened? I mean, I, I, I, I don't think she killed Nick in the middle of the Lockhart Gardner offices. No, I don't think so. I don't think so either, although she did have that van.
So yeah, I'm just like, I don't know if it had to do with the van. I don't know if she ran him over. [00:41:00] Um, I would really hope that she just like, like let the police kind of take care of it. Um, but I don't, I don't know. This was very weird. And we know she is capable of doing things. What? Yeah, I just, but I don't know if she's capable of killing someone, but hey, this might, I think she could be capable of killing Nick.
Maybe I just, I hope we get this resolved that it's not some like loose threat we have to deal with forever. Ever. Agreed. Agreed. So I hope we find out, like in the next two or three episodes of what happened to Nick, where he went and what happened. Did she just convince him to, to take the threat seriously and leave, did she.
Kneecap him and throw him on a bus or something. What happened? I, you know, I dunno. Yeah. Who knows? And also, where's Bill? Bob? Bill. Bill. Bob. Was Bill. Bill. Bill. Yeah. Is Bill also gone? 'cause I don't ever wanna talk about him either. Um, in some Eli [00:42:00] news, Eli was reviewing some data at a diner and this man is next to him, like talking to him about, because while Eli's looking at the data, he's apparently playing classical piano on his, on his sheet, which, you know, I get from time to time.
But, um, he, we get introduced to David LaGuardia, David La not the man who built the airport, but yeah, David LaGuardia and Jason, you recognized him from places. This gentleman is Hamish Linklater. Uh, you think most people probably, if you watch the, that sitcom, new Adventures of Old Christine, he was, uh, he was a big part of that show.
Uh, he recent, most recently, from what I saw him from, was the second season of Gen V over on, uh, prime Video. Very, uh, very good, bad guy. He was playing there on that, on that season. So yeah, he's been, he's been around the block. He's here. Yeah. And he also works for the Department of Justice. Bitch. [00:43:00] Uh, Eli again was just notified, I think last episode by Kalinda that the Fed have a picture of them.
So something is going on. Um, we also learned that David LaGuardia plays the accordion, and Eli apparently plays the piano. Who knew? Uh, but David does ask Eli about one of his former clients in the crisis management world, um, called Wooster gr. And this gets Eli to get up, walk out and call Diane as quickly as possible.
He books it. He is like, yeah, I'm not gonna stay around here. I'm I'm outta here. Goodbye. Uh, so he goes and tells Diane, and Diane is like asking about this client. He is like, everything was above board. I, I'm not worried there, but I am worried about this. And she show, he shows Diane the photo of Kalinda and Eli that they think was taken from the building across the street.
And Diane's like, do you want me to go to the DOJ? It's like, look, I'm very high profile. Let's keep this quiet, but see how we can resolve it. Yeah. He's like, uh, yeah, let's, uh, let's not [00:44:00] tell anyone about this. Especially, uh, Alicia or Will. Yeah. Like, he's like, we can't let we, we have to make sure we don't let the candidate know this is happening.
And she's like, oh. So basically you mean don't tell Alicia? He's like, yeah, also don't tell Will, because if Peter finds out that Will finds out that something's hinky with him, it's not gonna go good. So let's keep both of them in the dark about this particular thing, huh? Yes. Agreed. So Diane and Eli go meet with David and I just have to pause for a moment 'cause this was one of the funniest Christine Pransky decisions I think I've ever seen.
The, she is wearing sunglasses and I really hope, like di I really hope Christine Bransky was okay. And it wasn't because she like had like an eye situation or anything, but it's so funny because she's sitting indoors talking to the DOJ guy and sunglasses. I'm just like. What is, listen, it's a tactic, right?
She doesn't want him to see her eyes, she doesn't want him to see how nervous she is or, or she, you know, [00:45:00] wants to keep the light out. She was up late with Kurt, maybe. Oh, I would hope so. She doesn't, you know, she's trying to keep the light out of her eyes 'cause she's tired. She doesn't want, she doesn't wanna get blinded by the light.
Who knows? Who knows? Or it's Diane, just a badass. And this is what she chose. That's more like it. That's more like it. That's like it, uh, she basically says, Hey, uh, David, what are you doing? What are you looking to Eli for? Um, 'cause if you continue to talk to my client, Eli, uh, we'll consider this harassment.
And it's like, well, we're not doing anything. And then he, Diane shows David the photo and he is like, whoa. If you someone got that they're breaking the rules, like mm-hmm. This is not good. Uh, but basically some of you guys's clients from crisis management time have become donors in Vanessa, his ex-wife's campaign.
And while this is not against the law, any, you know, quid pro quos quotes that may have come out of this are, and so that is what they're investigating. Yeah. I was like, oh, uh, Vanessa's [00:46:00] Senate campaign is still going on. This is, hold on, some interesting, uh, you know, confirmation of that. I was like, oh, that's, that's still a storyline.
Cool. Okay. Good to know. Uh, they meet again later in the episode and Diane's like, don't worry. Like, we looked over everything. I don't see any conflicts of interest here or anything like that. I was like, and David's like, cool, cool. Um, if you want this investigation to stop, I'm gonna need a proffer. And they're like, on who?
On Peter. And a proffer is basically like just a list of evidence submitted to the court from someone. And so, yes, I think, I think this is the thing where like you can, uh, admit to things and not be like, uh, prosecuted for it. Like it's, you know, it's a thing where you can spill your gut. You're not gonna get in trouble for it.
Yes. Yeah. You're like helping the court, so therefore you're okay. Uh, this gets Eli promptly walk up and walk out and say go to hell. And also followed by Diane. Um, so this isn't good [00:47:00] and neither is the fact that during a campaign meeting later in the episode, episode, Eli's office gets raided. David is there taking computers, taking hard drives, doing all this stuff.
So obviously they found something, but we don't know what it is. I can't remember. Do you remember of any quid pro quos that we saw with Eli? I don't think I saw anything at which makes all, makes me. Automatically think that this is Peter's fault, obviously. Well, I, and I don't know if there's any there or there or what evidence they have that, you know, triggers this raid or if it's, you know, I think it's, it may even be that thing where like, you know, you didn't do anything wrong, but you still don't want anybody rating your stuff.
It be like, right, what could they find that they might misinterpret or something that might look fishy? So that's probably where like, I don't know if Eli actually did anything wrong for him to be like so freaked out about, but it's still not great or fun to get your stuff rated. I do have to say I enjoyed campaign worker Nora in this episode.[00:48:00]
Uh, Nora is like, I, I, if I recall, Nora's gonna be like a thing. Love it, love it. You're gonna hear Nora from gonna hear from Nora a lot more. If I recall correctly, in the Eli world, it was great because Eli, when he went to go call Diane, his phone was dead and then basically took Nora's vote and she's like, but it's my mom.
Yeah. Well, no, I think, I think, I think it was just like, Hmm, someone's probably listed on my phone. Oh yeah. Lemme go. Someone else's phone. Uh, yeah. Had no idea. I, so I, I was like, oh, Nora's here. Like, I feel like I remember the name Nora, I remember this actress. I was like, I think Nora's gonna be like a character.
I'm here for it. I am here for it. Uh, unfortunately this episode did have some family stuff in it, but fortunately it was hilarious. Bummer, man. Yeah, it was, it was, it was fun. It was interesting. 'cause I mean, it's almost like a big check-in for the kids. Like, Hey, we, we wanna remind you of some of the storylines around the kids, what the kids are up to.
Just a check-in. So, oh. Also, I just also want to [00:49:00] discuss the computer setup at Alicia's apartment. Yeah. Oh man. What is this? Okay. So they have a desktop in the living room that is ethernet or Hard lined. Hard lined, yeah. And then each kid, like Zach has a laptop and Grace has an iMac. But those are only like wifi enabled, I guess.
Yeah. I mean, boy, you know the earth, the 20, the 20 twelves, right? It doesn't seem like that far away. But then when you think of, like remember when you had to use the internet one at a time? Like Yes. There was only one computer too, and you had to like take time, take turns, and you also had to like, if you didn't have a separate line, you had to be like, Hey, don't make any phone calls or tell so and so to call back after this time.
I mean this, they, they, this is obviously like a DSL sitch. It wasn't even like we, we we're out of dial up. Now we have DSL but we still can't, like, wifi is still kind of like a new-ish thing. We're still trying to figure it out [00:50:00] because like we're currently on wifi six, like that's the world we're living in.
This is like wifi 0.05. Like yeah. It's like, it's like, ooh, this new innovative thing called wifi. You can get, you can get internet without any cables. And so, uh, it's still new and, and it's not working right now, so Zach's gonna need the hard line 'cause there's only one hard line in the house and we need, we need that hard line.
I was just like, damn, really? 2012 was that far back. Like we were, we were that like. Technologically advanced in that moment. I was like, I just couldn't, I, it baffled me. I was like, wow, we were in a time at that, at that stage. I mean, it's, it is definitely not the, the dial up where you, if you try to use the phone, you get kicked off the internet, right?
It was, it was more than that. But it's just like, wow. You really had to like take turns with the internet back then. Yeah. Yeah. Alicia probably It isn't. It isn't now. It isn't now. Where me, my wife and my daughter are all on the internet on like six different devices all at one time. Wirelessly. [00:51:00] I am like one person living in this house.
And then when I check that like devices connected, it's like, you have eight devices connected. And I'm like, oh, okay. Uh, yeah, no, definitely different time. Definitely a different way of life. Um, but Alicia, Alicia is on the hard line computer, um, researching clay loam. From earlier in the episode, and you know when they, they've made a whole series out of this now, the, like suggested que or searches that come up.
So she types in what are types of c and from this it is suggest the suggested searches. What are types of condom? Uh oh. What, so first off, Alicia's like, lemme go talk to Zach. That, that, that sco Zach, let me go, lemme go check in with him. Yeah. Like, Hey, how's it going? Like, you're still dating Misa, [00:52:00] right?
Still? Yeah. And how old Isa? She's like, I thought you liked Misa. She's 15, but I thought you liked Misa. Well, do we need to have a conversation like about what? About sex? She's like, no, we don't need to have a conversation about sex. Um, and she says, well, I found the search about condoms on the hard line computer or whatever.
And he's like, I know how to scrub a cache. So like, I wouldn't even be looking that way. Which scrubbing a cache isn't even, it's clearing a cache, by the way. Yeah. Uh, uh, uh, mea you don't know the technical terms that Zach does. 'cause Zach is a Yeah, that's true. Computer genius. Okay. Yeah. And if, if Zach says it's scrubbing, then it's called scrubbing.
Okay. Like what? He's like, Zach's like, no, Marissa, you don't understand. You, you know about clear on cache, I know about scrubbing. It's a much, it's totally different. Different technique of clearing cache. Okay. Scrubbing. That's what we call, I mean, I'm sure there is, like, I'm sure when I clear my cache, it's still somewhere imprinted on [00:53:00] my computer like for a while.
But at the same time. You are in high school, Zachary, like, I don't understand where you're getting all this information anyway. Uh, and he's like, yeah, mom. So I'm not the only one that uses this computer. Grace also uses the computer and Alicia's like Grace. Yeah. Let me go look in on her while she's sleeping.
She's so precious. Oh, she's so precious. Zach's like, yeah, you know, grace is seeing Connor. At least she's like, she's seeing him like, I thought you already knew this. Like, I thought you knew that. Did you think they were just like hanging out as friends? Like, she's like, oh no, he is with the bad boy. You know, like I said, she looks, she looks at all grace, like, oh, Mike, she's such an angel.
Just sleeping. I can't imagine my little angel, uh, being defiled. Um, and it's like. You know, what time of night was this is, why is Zach up and Grace? Is it idea? I don't know. Weird. They're not that different in age. Yeah. I have no clue. And I don't know why she couldn't have the awkward conversations she has with Grace, like right after this, but it seems like it's days after many [00:54:00] trips to Manuka back and forth.
Listen, this is my, if this was my mom, she wouldn't have cared if I was asleep. She's like, get up, we talking right now. I would like have both kids in at the same time. Like, listen, this is what I found. Tell me the truth. Uh, who's banging? So she goes into Grace's room later in the episode and she's like, Hey, so tell me about Connor.
Like, how's Connor doing? Like, oh, you know, he's okay. And she's like, yeah, and you're still like a Christian. Chris is like, you could just say Christian. You don't have to say a Christian like, oh, well I was on the hardline computer and I did a search about. Like something, like someone is searching about like something, do we need to have a, have a talk?
And grace is like immediately mortified. She's like, no, not doing it. No. And this is where like then Alicia's like, you're being a good [00:55:00] girl. And yeah. You like, yeah, I'm being with a girl. I'm like, no. She like, this girl's a teenager. Don't good girl. Her like, it's so weird you being a good girl, right? Like, oh, you're, you're, you're being pure, aren't you?
You're my pure little girl, right? Mm-hmm. You wouldn't do anything bad, like have sex, right? You wouldn't be a, uh, curious, uh, you know, naturally like curious teen, right? You wouldn't do that. You would be a human, right? You would be a human. Yeah. No, my kids aren't humans. They're robots, purity robots, actually, uh, then we see a scene later and us, I don't get this.
Jason. Hopefully you can help me understand that. I don't know either. I'm like, what? So Grace is looking at all of her. She has all of her papers, graded papers out in front of her and it's like, good, great. A plus all of stuff. She's like, oh, I don't, I mean like did, what did you want outta that? So then she scoops 'em up and then very dramatically she pulls up [00:56:00] Hum hum, okay.
And she types in S and then E and then camera pan, camera zoom in on the letter X. Oh my God. And she just chu hum searches sex bru. So this is so weird because like I said, she's looking, she's looking at all her grades. She's like, yeah, I'm such, I'm a good girl. Like mom said, I'm keep doing, having good grades.
But you know what? Bad grace is about to come out. SE, she literally looks back like, to make sure no one's watching her like. Here we go. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna, I'm gonna hit the X. Here we go. XI gotta tell you the worst search to put in there. It's like, what, what, like, what are they trying to tell us is gonna come up?
Like, it's as if she hits that, if she hits X and enter, like just the world of porn [00:57:00] is gonna open up on this computer or something. Like, what is, what is she gonna find? Like, is she gonna find the definition of sex if she Googles sex? Like, I was gonna say, also, she should be having like, health classes, but I guess they go to, like, they go to a private school Catholic school, so maybe they don't, I don't know.
But like Li Live, have all the podcasts. Let me see what happens if I, oh no, Google. If I Google sex, you do it well. Are you, I don't wanna know what comes up on your personal assignment into Google. Search about sex. Jason, I'm gonna hit Do incognito. Do incognito. Do it too late. Incognito it. It's too late.
Uh, let's see. I have Reddit. What is the real purpose of sex that makes sense for you? Uh, Cora, what, does that make sense for me? Uh, you're always on the Reddit, Cora, what does sex mean to you? Uh, the Asexual Visibility and Education Network says Why is sex important to you for sexual partners, friends, and allies?
Um, I have Wikipedia on sex. [00:58:00] Uh, no one read it. Yeah, but this is 2025. Okay. Yeah, this is 2025. We did not have the index search that we do now, uh, like do now in 2012. And also like, I'm assuming there would be some biology lesson that comes up, but also there were all those weird chat rooms and all the weird stuff.
Yeah. I guess it just, it just, it was just like, oh my God, I wanna do it. Hit the X as if she just like transported to this portal of like, debauchery when she hits that X It was so, it was so intense. It was like, un unneedingly intense. What, what, but yeah. What was the thought process of like. Look at all these great grades I had.
Let me go mess it up by getting pregnant or something. Like, what, what is going on? I guess it was the like, I'm too good of a girl. At first, like when I watched, I was like, are you, you're so bored getting good grades now. You need to like, yeah, learn about sex. I don't, my mom, my mom thinks I'm too good of a girl.
I'll show her. I'll look up sex. Okay. Oh yeah, that was I way to be educated. Grace, like, I'm [00:59:00] not against like ki like kids are curious, like they should look stuff up. Well, especially if your mom's not, if your mom refuse to have sex talks with you, you're going to then be like naturally curious and seek it out from other things.
Uh, so yeah, not the best parenting moment from Alicia. Uh, and I assume Peter. Um, so yeah. Do you remember that one time when. She thought that the condoms were missing in her drawer, and she thought it was Zach. And it really, like, at that point it was, but like, seriously, these kids, uh, I have a feeling she's got like, she's, she's got this on the mind like, like father, like son, that boy like his dad, the sixth crazed.
I have a feeling unfortunately, because it is grace and she is a Christian. We will hear more about this. Uh, yeah. Uh, uh, and no, uh, we were in Grace's room. I did not see the huge giraffe that, uh, Veronica got her last time. Oh yeah. Good eyes. Good eyes. I'm on gi I'm on giraffe Watch. [01:00:00] Yeah. What do, they didn't, don't throw it away.
Anyway. Okay. So Zach and his technological genius detective work, um, did a ca cash search and basically found out. I am assuming by just looking at the history in the browser, not anything very fancy, but two minutes before the search for condoms was done was an email website. And he's telling this to Alicia and Alicia's like, okay, like, who's email?
Like grandma's? Like Veronica's. Like, no, Jackie's. And they both stop and they're like, uh, we're never gonna talk about this again. Bru. That was so funny because it was done on Thanksgiving night where everyone was in the house. So it's like, yeah. Jackie. Oh, Jackie and Christian. Oh boy. What's happening there?
Uh, uh, that is like called elder abuse. Like, [01:01:00] I mean, I guess if she's being like consensual about it, but I don't know. She could be high on the drug. I, I need some more information. I need, I need someone to confront Jackie about this to find out why she was. Looking up types of condoms, who do you think it's gonna be?
Like, do you think she's Alicia's gonna do it without telling Peter? Or do you think she's gonna be like, yo, your mom's looking up condoms on the family computer. I want Peter to have to confront Jackie about this. That's what I want. So yeah, she'd be like, uh, hey, just so you are aware, your, your mom is looking up things about condoms and what types of condoms.
I'm not like, I, I just need to know what, why are you looking up the types of condoms? Like not where to get condoms or, I don't, I don't know what is they, I I, I feel like if, if Jackie, if this was Jackie, she'd be like, do Latin men wear condoms? Like something like that. Like what type, what type of condoms for Latin penises?
Like something like that. You know? Are they the same as white penises? I dunno. Just Jackie, are there things that [01:02:00] need to know about? Yeah, just Jackie being, and Jackie, I just like, that's the type of search I think she would be making. Oh my God. Yes. So that was our episode. We had dual uh, cases. We had some movement hopefully ending on the Kalinda front with Nick.
Hopefully we never see him again. Hopefully he doesn't really come back. But also, hopefully Coda's not a murder to be seen. Uh, Eli's got some stuff to worry about with the Fed, and Grace is apparently researching sex da dah. There was so many storylines happening here, like just a lot going on. Um, so yeah, that was our episode.
