there's always inherent bias in any individual It's just personal experiences I don't know if you can just trust your gut feeling but I mean there are some things that are clearly you you know that it's a problem Hundreds of human hours wasted daily I don't necessarily want uh our teachers sharing their personal values That's what my job as a parent is Well now you have a tool to help you cut through all of that A lot of people can benefit from that [Music] Hello everyone I'm Dave And I'm Tony We are Social Profiler Our mission is to make things easier for you make you and your loved ones people around you How do we make life easier for you we can help you find the right date find the right partner find the right co-orker find the right realer You can now find the right person that shares your interests that you're compatible with Today we're going to be discussing how to save billions in bias detection If you look at today's court system millions and billions of dollars are spent researching people for jury selection understanding a plaintiff understanding a defendant or a witness You know constantly work is being done to identify bias in people or predispositions or prejudices that they may have as a result of how they grew up You know who they interacted or where did they grow up And so there's always an inherent bias in any individual It's just personal experiences Well that cost billions and billions of dollars in today's legal system I personally Dave do not have any bias I'm pretty sure I have zero bias I'm completely unbiased Well you truly are one of a kind Tony Bias isn't necessarily a bad thing You know bias could be telling you hey I at least I'm biased towards trying to eat healthy foods It's just a positive or negative inclination on somebody's ideas Are you trying to sell me you don't have an opinion about anything Tony absolutely not Why would I [Music] in what situations do you think it's okay to check social media to determine if someone is biased or not in employment that might be important We're probably all driven by our previous biases And I don't know if you can just trust your gut feeling but I mean there are some things that are clearly you know that it's a problem if you I feel like it's hard to check if somebody's biased or not or not on their social media if they're not posting anything specifically about it So they've done something that you would suspect they have bias It would be a way to at least get more data points I don't think it can be a determinant factor but it can be a contributing factor If you were asking them questions about a certain thing or their opinions on on a certain thing and you wanted to see if they're genuine about who they are then check it out Tony you don't have any biases Well haven't you ever been on a jury that's the interesting story I was summoned once to serve as a juror Infinite number of questions were asked and answered by dozens of people And it was not even over yet You know I was excused at the end of a day but the just the jury selection process was supposed to take another two or three business days Imagine that It's hundreds of human hours wasted daily Those biases that the attorneys are trying to eliminate to protect themselves Well you know what you're dealing with bias every day I'm biased towards certain things because of the way I grew up and the way I see things And you know what as the foreman of the jury I will tell you the one of the most difficult things It wasn't running the jury box The most difficult thing is trying to eliminate my own bias So we stuck directly with the evidence at hand because it's tough to make decisions without leaning back on your experiences as a person I guess having a technology which will help expedite this process would help or help support the findings about someone's bias or being a pointer data to ask more specific questions Maybe a lot of people can benefit from that Well I think you're right You know in terms of you know knowing what to ask is obviously going to save an enormous amount of time and you know using new technologies to help identify people's interests the things that they do their activities That's ultimately going to be the key to saving billions and billions of dollars on on personal bias [Music] Let's talk about schools and virus in teachers I don't necessarily want uh our teachers sharing their personal values or their personal beliefs with my children That's what my job as a parent is But it's really more than just the teachers It's it's tutors It's administrators It's coaches you know they all have their personal biases and that's going to influence our children and that's going to influence how they think going forward and that may not be what I want my children to learn from them That's what I want them to learn from me And that's where you know new technology can help you identify people's dispositions their biases their prejudices especially when they're talking to our young children who are open to new ideas that may not be what we want them to know You know what we encourage you to click on the link below Run a report Run it on yourself Run it on somebody you know We'll prove to you it's scary accurate You will now understand and know a person's interest before perhaps you've even met them or they've even said a word Thank you for watching us I am Tony This is Dave And we are Social Profiler See you next time
