Rockstar Parents is a podcast where the worlds of music and parenthood collide. Hosted by Madison Malone, a fellow musician and parent, each episode features candid interviews with artists who are juggling gigs, guitar strings, and diapers. From late-night sets to early-morning school runs, Rockstar Parents dives into the chaos, creativity, and joy of raising kids while rocking the stage. Perfect for parents, musicians, or anyone curious about how artists balance the beat of family life.
Picture this: you’re in Los Angeles, California…there are rockstars everywhere you look who are staying up late putting on concerts, hunkering in their studios making sonic symphonies for the world to relish in, they’re going thrifting on Magnolia Blvd, they’re renting warehouses in DTLA to capture their next music video and…hang on…wait a second…what’s that?! Is that a STROLLER that the lead singer is pushing?! Is that a BOTTLE IN HER PURSE? I thought these people were MUSICIANS, not PARENTS! Well, looks like you’ve found yourself in the small, beautiful niche of Rockstar Parents.
Hi, I’m Madison Malone and I’m a Rockstar Parent. I’ve been living in Los Angeles for almost 8 years and since becoming a parent 4 years ago, I’ve learned what a small, rare, and wonderful venn diagram my life chart is made up of: I’m a queer musician, Los Angeles residing mama, and as I’ve gotten my head up out of the newborn/baby phase, I’ve realized just how many other amazing musician parents there are in this city & within my global community. This podcast is a chance for me to introduce you to the hardest working people on the road & in their homes: Rockstar Parents. Episodes coming soon!
