[00:00:00] Welcome to the Vitality Radio podcast. Your source for the truth about health, wellness, and real alternatives to. Surgeries and the status quo of healthcare. Here, you'll find information that empowers you to take control of your health, but it's not just about health and wellness. It's about the politics of healthcare and protecting your health freedom.

Now, here's your host, Jared St. Clair.

My next guests have been on the show before. In fact, just a few weeks ago, they were on talking about their event that I have become such a huge fan of it is the Be Healthy Utah Conference and this thing, if you are anywhere [00:01:00] near Sandy, Utah, you've got to block out some time on the. First and 22nd. Do I have those dates right?

Yep. Okay. I'm going off memory here, which is Friday and Saturday of, uh, this month, April. And, uh, this conference is now, um, well last year. I'll say what I said before, one of the best events I've ever attended. One of the best events I've ever spoken at. Really, really professionally done. Uh, and, but not just well organized, the group of.

People at Be Healthy. Utah is a fantastic group of people. I met some new friends there who I've kept in contact with, people who have been able to educate me on a variety of different topics this year. There are some people, uh, speaking that I'm really excited to hear myself that I haven't heard before, and several that I have heard that I would love to hear again.

I am again talking about the Be Healthy [00:02:00] Utah Conference. The promoters of the conference and friends of mine are Dr. Shane and Liz Watt. Welcome back to Vitality Radio. Thanks, Jared for letting us be on. Absolutely. I'm so happy to be involved in this event and help you promote it because it really is fantastic.

You know, vitality Radio is all about empowering people to make better decisions for their health, to find alternative options, uh, that they can utilize, uh, rather than going with pharmaceuticals and things like that whenever possible. And of course, what you are doing is exactly the same. Let's open people's minds to all of the variety.

Of natural alternatives to take better care of our health. And that's what be Healthy Utah is all about. And if you are listening and you're not in Utah, that's okay. We have, uh, some great information for you as well, so stay tuned because you can access some amazing aspects of Be Healthy Utah, no matter where you live.

So, Quickly. Why don't the two of you, just in a minute or so, tell [00:03:00] us what the conference is all about, why you organized it in the first place and why people should attend? Our biggest thing was that we wanted to create a platform where people could come and learn at their own pace, but have an opportunity to find, to listen to, to.

See other options in healthcare. So a lot of the people that come to our conference are people who have struggled in the medical model. They just haven't had the success. But also those people who are already into the natural world. And we'll have 35 plus speakers all on different topics on, on. On how to get and stay well, naturally we'll have over 125 booths.

And this is the thing that's so cool is there's so many, such a variety of different types of booths. We really try to limit that. We don't have a lot of the same kind of thing, but there's stuff that is, um, really amazing for people. And that's the cool thing about it is that you can walk through the booth and some of 'em might not apply, but other things will definitely apply and it gives you a chance to be able to go and listen and learn to be able to take things [00:04:00] home that you can do on your, that you can do on your own.

Or the other thing is, is because if we try to make it a local event is now you have an idea of where you can go for some answers. And that's truly the biggest thing is we want people to be able to find answers to their healthcare. Yeah. And I'll tell you, this is, it's crazy to me, you know, I've been doing this thing, the natural health and wellness thing for my, really, my whole life.

I grew up in a health food store. I've had my podcast or my radio show for 15 years, podcasts for two. I've owned my store for almost 30 years. I mean, I've been around the block when it comes to natural health and wellness. I've seen plenty of d. Practitioners over the years for a variety of different things.

And yet when I wandered the aisles at Be Healthy, Utah last year, I found all kinds of things I'd never seen before. And what was cool for me is that, hey, there aren't that many things I feel like I haven't seen before. Uh, and you guys have been able to like, I feel like you've gone to all the corners of this state [00:05:00] and.

Everybody that has something great to offer, uh, for a variety of different issues that people might be dealing with. And of course, you know, not all practitioners are the same. Not all products are the same and not everything works for everyone. So having all of that variety really gives people great options that they can utilize.

And, and so for me personally, I've come away, I mentioned it, you know, we had you on the show a few weeks ago. I mentioned a couple of people. I. That have had really big impact in my life since I met them at, uh, be Healthy Utah, and I look forward to it every year now. It's one of my favorite, uh, events to attend, not just because I love speaking at it and I love demonstrating what I have at my booths, uh, at be Healthy Utah, but because as a consumer myself, I love what you guys have to offer, so I greatly appreciate what you're doing.

Let's talk a little bit about the speakers and how people outside of Utah can benefit because we certainly have many of those listening to the show today. Uh, what [00:06:00] kind of access do you have for people that can't attend in person? So we have, we have an online version, so we, we go, we have, we hired a professional videographer that comes and videos all.

I guess every hour we have speakers go. We have three. We have three to four speakers that are going every single hour on Saturday. On Saturday, and so we hired this videographer to come and video every single presentation after the conference and everything's edited. Then about 10, three weeks later, we then upload it to our site and those people that have purchased it, they get access to every single.

Thing that was videoed at the conference. Every single presentation that was, that was videoed. And so also, if people are coming and. We talked about this a little bit before, there's gonna be multiple people they wanna see at one time. Well, like you just told us that you're speaking at the [00:07:00] same time as your friend, which I didn't realize.

Mm-hmm. You even knew each other. Um, and now you're not sure if who people are gonna go watch you were, you were her. Well, clearly be me, but, uh, I feel bad for her. No. Uh, I am. Speaking, uh, right across from Allie Duette, and she is, uh, truly a good friend of mine. She and I met, uh, about three years ago, almost on the nose now.

We've, uh, spent a fair amount of time at, uh, events together, uh, fighting for health freedom and, uh, educating on these things. And she's been. Uh, very helpful to me and, uh, to many of my friends with what she has to offer. She's a truly phenomenally gifted, uh, individual and, and one of the purest hearts I think I've ever met.

I just love this woman, so she's fantastic. And this is what I would say if you've heard me speak before. Come hear me again and then watch Allie later. But, uh, really well, what I was saying is you're trying, you're, you're [00:08:00] pulling people away from yours to go see Allie by what you were saying about her giving her all that praise.

Well, I, yeah, I gotta, but that's the thing. She's amazing. That's the thing though, is that, you know, we have such a lot of really good speakers and there's gonna be good speakers that are gonna be presented the same time. And so it also gives people the chance who go to the conference. For just minimal cost to be able to, um, to be able to get the online version, be able to watch it, and then they can watch it down the road at their own time.

I think we give 'em up to a year to watch the things. So, and one thing that's also nice is that not only is it going to be videoed, but we have also figured out the way to do it onto a podcast. So for people that are on the go and they don't have time to sit and watch a video, They can listen to it in the podcast form, so you can, in a podcast, listen to the words.

Excellent. That's perfect for me because I'm not gonna probably sit down and watch 35 speakers, but I would sit, I would certainly listen to 'em while I'm driving around. So I love that idea. So if, if you're not in Utah or if you are, uh, either way you have the [00:09:00] opportunity to utilize a code that, uh, Shane and Liz have been generous enough to offer, which is 40% off for the event and.

Code Vitality 40 and uh, you can go to be healthy utah.com. And really, in all seriousness, not because I'm crazy about this, uh, conference or because Shane and Liz are friends of mine or because some of the speakers are friends of mine or whatever. If you're not in Utah, just ignore that last word. Be healthy.com.

That's what this is about. Whether you're in Utah or you're not in Utah, this is universally applicable information. You'll want to listen to it, but to find it, you do have to go to be healthy utah.com. Use the Code Vitality 40 to get 40% off, and that's for the events for the two day live event. And for you, because you have a lot of people outside of Utah to listen.

It's also for the online. Most, most of our vendors and things like that is just for the two day live event, so don't click on any of the one days or anything else. It's only good for the two [00:10:00] day live. Yeah, so the two day live event or the online version, it is two different things and you'll see those, you know, ticket options.

Basically when you go to the website, vitality 40 is the code, and I would absolutely love to have you not just listen to me, but like I said, friends of mine, like Allie and uh, uh, car Lynn is speaking at the, she's one of the keynote speakers, I think, uh, from on Friday from. Just ingredients on Friday, the event goes Friday from, uh, is it one o'clock that it starts?

So, so it opens up at one o'clock. Speakers start at two o'clock and it goes till nine o'clock. And then on Saturday it opens up at nine o'clock in the morning and goes, and then speakers start at 10 o'clock and it goes till six o'clock. And I speak at two o'clock. Correct. So if you want to come and see me, uh, you can do two o'clock.

If you prefer to see Allie, you can also do that at two o'clock. Just don't tell me you did that. It will hurt my feelings. Okay. So that's what we're doing is the Be Healthy Utah Conference. It is seriously [00:11:00] super, super awesome. I met some amazing people there. I, I, uh, made some great connections. I learned a lot and I loved especially, Being able to speak and answer questions after the fact.

At my booth this year, we've actually expanded to two booths. We'll be, uh, showing off our brand new vital skin therapy line that many of you have heard about, uh, here on Vitality Radio. As well as our Vital five and various other things at the event I'll be speaking, uh, largely about the microbiome and mental health and wellness.

And so if those, uh, topics are of interest to you, I think that you'll really enjoy, uh, what I have to present. But again, 35 ish. Other amazing people to listen to as well. Anything else that people need to know before I let you know? You know, one thing that is really fun about this conference is sometimes people think, oh, it's just a conference.

You get to go and just listen to people speak. But that's not what this conference is [00:12:00] about. We, we want you to come and learn and listen to the speakers, but there's also opportunities for you. Experience what health is. Meaning that we have interactive classes that people can go and take on Saturday. Uh, they can go do a yoga class, they can go and do a chaong breath work.

Uh, sound Bowl. We have all of those types of classes, plus we have food demonstrations. So for instance, you have somebody that's going to be teaching us about how to do sourdough with wheat bread. That's, uh, if anybody has been trying to do sourdough bread to do it with wheat. It's really hard. It's not like the the fluffy white.

And so there's a class that's on about that. There's also gluten-free. We have the gluten-free twins coming and they're going to be talking about how to do a breakfast all gluten-free with. Gluten-free waffles. And, and that's part of the biggest thing with health, right? Is actually like food has a lot to do with it.

[00:13:00] And then it's preparing the food that makes it the hardest thing. So that's why we threw in the food demos so people come and look and learn and say, oh, okay, that's how you do it. So it makes it a little bit more sense. It makes it, uh, you know, if you can see it being done, it makes it so it's not so hard to do, if that makes sense.

Well, it, it does. And let me explain one more thing to everybody listening, cuz I think this is really important. When I was there last year, one of the things that was so palpable was the energy in the room. The people I talked about were jazzed to be there. They were learning, they were smiling, they were laughing, they were really enjoying the, uh, energy and the information at the event.

This was far from a snoozer. People were engaged, energized, excited. I kept asking people, how's the conference? How's the conference? And every single time they looked at me and said, it's been so great. I love this thing. I can't wait for next year. It was all kinds of that type of energy. This is not something where you're gonna go and you're gonna be.

Board and leave early. It's gonna be one of those [00:14:00] things where six o'clock on Saturday rolls around and you're like, geez, I wish I had another hour or two to go talk to these amazing people. This is a great event. Be Healthy Utah. The code is Vitality 40 for 40% off. If you want the online version, you can do that, whether you're in or out of.

The state of Utah, of course, if you want the in-person version, uh, and you can make it to Sandy on the 21st and 22nd of, uh, April, we would love to have you there. And I would love to personally meet as many of you listening as possible. And even if you can only come one day or part of the day each time, I mean, that's a lot of hours, right?

So sometimes that's, you can't stay there the whole. Both days, but it is, it's worth the less than 30, 30 bucks with the code to get in and to learn so much information that can be drastically, that can really have a drastic effect on your health. Absolutely one great, uh, health nugget that you can gain from this thing is worth the dollars and time spent, and you'll gain way [00:15:00] more percent, way more than that Shane.

And. I sure appreciate you. I can't wait to see you in person in a couple of weeks when we're setting up for this thing, and, uh, well, I guess by the, when this airs, it's only one week away. So, so excited. I know it's going quick. I hope it's always the scariest time right now. I hope you're ready. I hope you're ready.

So please get your tickets cuz we know what we do this so that we, we want people to be able to. Change their life. That's why we're doing this. Absolutely. Okay. Thank you so much for joining me. Remember, it's be healthy utah.com and uh, the code is Vitality 40. And uh, I hope to see you there on the 21st and 22nd, and specifically speaking at two o'clock on the 22nd.

Shannon and Liz, thanks for joining me on Vitality Radio. Thanks, Jared. In 1994, Dr. Lewis Iro won the Nobel Prize for Medicine when he discovered how nitric oxide works in the human body. Ever since more phenomenal research has been done proving time and time again that nitric oxide is a true key to [00:16:00] cardiovascular wellness.

Nitric oxide increases blood. Thereby reducing pressure. This makes a huge difference in a variety of ways. The increase in blood flow provides more energy and oxygen to the muscle tissue, which is vital for your workout. This also improves the muscle pump for both exercise and sexual performance. Brand new day has followed the research of Dr.

Rick Naro and many others. And developed a formula based on the science of nitric oxide and blood flow. This amazing formula is called ino Cardio boosts and the results that are reported are fantastic. Just one scoop a day in water will enhance nitric oxide and all of the benefits that come with it.

Polls and take a ton of questions and, uh, try and get all of 'em answered within just a couple of days. Okay, so let's jump into this now, because I'm really excited it took longer to put this show together than I thought. [00:19:00] I know the, uh, ingredients in this formula very well, and uh, I could have kind of done it off the cuff, but I wanted to make sure.

Not just talking about the anecdotal evidence, but also the clinical evidence of why these ingredients matter and, uh, really give you a good, uh, perspective as to what it takes to develop a product in this industry. So let's go ahead and start by. Talking about that. As I have said on previous episodes of Vitality Radio, one of my goals is to help you become a more educated consumer of natural products.

And in order to do that, I get to pull back the curtain on the supplement industry, uh, a little bit. So there is this process that I imagine every formulator of supplements in this industry goes through. In fact, I just talked to Shania, uh, Pelco, I believe is her last name. I hope I got that right. I know Shania is her name.

Uh, who [00:20:00] I think, uh, we became fast friends from Organi. Uh, she is the, uh, research and development person there and we found a lot of common ground cuz we've been through a lot of the same types of things. She'll be on the show here in uh, Week or two, so you'll have to check her out. But, uh, when you're formulating a product, the process, at least for me, basically looks like this.

It's, we, I, I look at the market, uh, for that particular product. So in this case, greens to see, you know, what's available, what, what's on the market, what am I currently selling at Vitality Nutrition, and what kind of feedback am I getting on. Is it a popular product? Is it something that I've got demand for?

Because obviously just putting out a product that nobody wants doesn't do anybody any good. Uh, all of those types of criteria. And then I have to ask myself, okay, can I make a product that is as good as this, at least as good as this product that I'm currently selling? And preferably much better. Could [00:21:00] there be additional ingredients added or better quality ingredients, or more concentrated ingredients or a better mix of ingredients, you know, whatever that might be.

And then can I also maybe sell it for even less than some of the other bigger brands are selling it for? Because. It's just a matter of scale. I am a small scale, uh, manufacturer of supplements. I am, it's me. I do all the product development. Uh, I'll quiz my team at Vitality a little bit, but basically it all starts and ends with me and, uh, I don't have a sales.

Force at all. I don't have online influencers. Uh, I have one who's really a friend of mine and, and, uh, sends people over from time to time. But, uh, that's it. You know, I don't really have any of the added expenses, uh, that so many other brands have, and so sometimes, In fact, I would say more often than not, I can put out a really great product, uh, that's actually less expensive.

My [00:22:00] probiotic's a perfect example of it. I think it's the strongest spore forming probiotic on the market that I've seen with the key ingredients that it has. Uh, and it's a good 20 to 40% less expensive than most of the other ones out there that are not as potent. And it's not that those other products aren't good.

They are good. There's some really great ones out there. But, uh, because of the scale and because of the way that those print brands, you know, choose to market their products or whatever, they end up with a higher price. So when I was looking at greens, this is a little bit different. Because I wasn't planning to come out with a Greens product.

Um, I had a friend, a long-term friend in the industry. I've been a customer of his for well over 20 years. And, uh, yes, I'm his customer, but we've become, you know, personal friends. We don't just talk about business. We talk about, you know, how the kids are doing and what's going on in our lives and politics and all the other stuff.

So he really is a friend of mine and he's one of my most trusted friends [00:23:00] because he. Me chooses not to make things look better than they actually are on the product labels, uh, chooses not to cut corners, things like that. So when he said I, he was interested in making a greens formula. I got pretty excited because truth be told, he made a greens formula a few years back, maybe a, maybe a decade ago.

And it was a great product, but, uh, probably didn't get marketed as well as it could have and frankly didn't taste that great. And unfortunately, taste matters a lot when it comes to, well, pretty much anything, right? But, uh, even supplements. And so eventually he discontinued it, but he's been wanting to put one out ever since.

So we started talking. And, uh, eventually this formula came from those conversations and a ton of research on his part. So as I'm doing this research though, just to take you back a little bit, what I'll do then is I'll come up with what I think is like this great formula, kind of my dream [00:24:00] formula. Um, I did this with anxiety release, for instance.

I did it with my probiotic. Uh, both of these were examples of that where I put together a formula. I thought, this is the best formula I can figure. How to come up with, and I send it off to my contract manufacturer and they then start doing the legwork of finding the proper raw materials. Uh, they'll then oftentimes present me with multiple options of a specific raw material.

Or in some cases, I'll already have made up my mind as to what material I want to use and from what. Brand and I send that information to them. It just kind of depends on, um, how much research I've done on it at that point. And anyway, I send that up there, they put all that stuff together and they send me back a quote, you know, if you make 1500 bottles of this and 60 capsules per bottle, This is what it's gonna cost you.

And then I look at that and start doing the math to figure out, okay, once I also tack on the label and the artwork for the label [00:25:00] and all the other ancillary, uh, parts of. Putting a product on the market, what it's gonna cost to ship and things like that, you know, based on the weight, then I can come up with a price that I can afford to sell it for.

Uh, so I can still be profitable, but also hopefully give you a good value on it. So then at that point, I have to look and see, okay, based on what my cost is and all of my costs are, and based on what I need to sell it for, To be able to be profitable? Is it a good value for the customer at that point? And that is always the biggest question.

It's the value proposition. You know how, cuz I can make the greatest product in the world, but if it's $250 a month, It's gonna be hard to get anybody to buy that product. So I have to figure out, okay, you know, what can we do to kind of get to that middle ground [00:26:00] of a great product that also is a price that people can afford.

And so that's kind of how the process works. I mentioned anxiety release and the precision probiotic. I got those back from the manufacturer exactly as I formulated them at a price that I could sell them at. I made no tweaks on those formulas and put them out on the market as quickly as I could because the price was right and the potency.

Awesome. So sometimes I get my dream formula, other times I have to make some sacrifices. So let's talk about that just a minute, because all of this matters, I think, to you as a consumer so you can really understand what goes into making all this stuff and making it work. So with the anxiety release, I wanted Sensoral Ashwaganda.

You've heard me talk about Sensoral Ashwaganda. I'm sure it's my favorite form of Ashwaganda, but it's not my favorite form because I think every other [00:27:00] Ashwaganda sucks. It's not that I actually can't really tell you that I found an Ashwaganda I don't like even basic, just plain old Ashwaganda powder is great stuff, but Sensoril has the best research in my opinion.

And the best overall potency, uh, and still I think is a reasonable value proposition as well. The problem with Sensoril is it's a single ingredient that you don't have to add much of to a formula to get a great result. 125 to 250 milligrams as an efficacious dose. And the company that makes it has what they call a minimum pack size and that minimum pack size precluded me for.

From using Sensoril in my products because I couldn't buy enough Sensoril, I couldn't make enough product with Sensoril in it to. Make the minimum pack size work without the product expiring before I could use all of the material. So it's just like a kind of a supply and [00:28:00] demand scenario there. I didn't have enough demand for the amount of supply that they required me to purchase.

So for years, my 10 days of Sunshine product, my anxiety free that I made for Ridgecrest herbals back in the day. My, uh, vital sleep formula, uh, my night burn formula, uh, my multivitamin, ultimate Vitality Multi. None of them had since real ashwaganda, they had what I considered to be the next best thing, which, uh, which was, uh, in most cases a 4.5% extract of Ashwaganda that I was using because I could get away with not no minimum pack size order, but when I developed the new vital.

And the new anxiety release formulas. And found many of you listeners, uh, and opened up our website, vitality nutrition.com. I was able to make the pack size work. So I went back and [00:29:00] reformulated every product that I have with that ingredient in it, ashwaganda to include sensor Ashwaganda, at least where it made sense.

So while I had sacrificed. Not being able to use Sensoril. I was still using a product that worked and I believe still delivering a great product on the market. But was it my optimal formula? No, to be honest with you, it wasn't my optimal formula, but I did still think it was the best or one of the best formulas in that category on the market.

So I still felt confident putting my name on it, and frankly, we got great results from those formulas as well. But we get even better results now that we've added the sensoril. So that's the challenge. It's all of that stuff. So now I even have a sensor product, uh, and that I'm introducing today too. It's been on my website for a couple of months and at the store, but I haven't really talked about it much.

I have a 250 milligrams Sensoril Ashwaganda capsule, 60 capsules for 20 bucks. So it's a really good value for the right [00:30:00] ashwaganda, uh, without anything in it that I wouldn't. To put in my own body or ask you to put in yours. So that's how that stuff comes about. So now back to the greens. The Greens formula is a toughie because there are dozens and dozens of ingredients you could put in the formula.

There's all kinds of fruit powders and vegetable powders, and grass powders, and all kinds of other things that could be considered for a greens formula. Lots of algae options and so on. And you can put a little smidge of a bunch of things in, or you can focus on what you consider to be the big powerhouse ingredients and put a much higher dose in there.

And that's the route that my buddy decided to go with and I couldn't agree more with him. I think that's the best approach. Give people something strong enough that it really not just covers the bases of all these nutrients you're trying to get from a greens, but really delivers a clinically beneficial punch when we look at the actual science and [00:31:00] research on this stuff.

So what we ended up with, with the vital or vitality organic greens and shrooms is. Eight ingredients. Just eight ingredients. Uh, well, eight active ingredients, and then of course, the flavorings and, and some fruit powders to flavor and sweeten it as well. And those eight ingredients I want to go through with you, uh, one by one so that you can understand how we, not just why we put the ingredients in there, but what the ingredients, um, Will do for you what type of benefits they have.

And again, not just anecdotal benefits, but also clinically proven benefits. So these eight ingredients, Seven of them are organic, certified organic, one is not. And this is something that I want to get out there because I know people are gonna ask me why is the spirulina not certified organic? And there is a really, [00:32:00] really good answer for this.

And it's an interesting one because it might shine a little more light on how this stuff all really works, uh, from, you know, sort of the, the back end, uh, where I sit trying to develop these formulas. Spiralina can be purchased from China certified organic to the standards, uh, that are used in China for.

Pretty cheap. Uh, about five or six bucks, uh, per pound. And on the label, that would look really good because I wouldn't probably, if I was gonna use that product, say Chinese spirulina, organic spirulina, I would just say spirulina, organic spirulina. But the problem is China. Is so polluted that the organic standard doesn't work as well over there because even though they may be raising it organically, there is so much [00:33:00] toxicity in the soil, so much toxicity in the water, so much toxicity in the air that you end up with an organic product that may actually be more chemical laden than a conventionally farmed product.

We didn't go with that particular kind of spiralina. Instead, we found a spiralina that we can source consistently that has grown in a lake, cultivated in a lake in remote California. Where the conditions are such that you end up with a very, very, very clean product, much lower in heavy metals than what you would get from an organic version from China and much lower in, uh, you know, in other types of chemical toxins that we would not want in a greens product that is in part designed to detoxify our bodies.

Right? So our [00:34:00] spiralina. United States grown in a lake, a remote lake in California, and when we run this through the testing, the heavy metal testing, what's really crazy is the first batch of this was 10 times lower in heavy metals than the California Proposition 65 standard specifically to lead, which makes.

Incredibly low in heavy metals, almost off the charts low. It's hard to get greens to be as low as this is, and that has to do with sourcing on each one of the individual items. So that's the route that we took on this. We end up with a very clean, a very tasty, and a very potent product that I consider to be quite reasonably priced, less than $2 to serving, which makes.

30, 35% cheaper than several of the other formulas on the market, including the number one formula on the market that's marketed by Joe Rogan and [00:35:00] various other influencers out there, and that's not. Because those products are a lot better and worth more money, it's actually that they are marketed a lot more heavily and they have to pay for that marketing expense.

So we're really excited about this product. Let's talk about the spirulina since we're there, and then we'll go through all eight of the ingredients and why you may want to include this in what you're doing. Spirulina is actually a type of what's called a cyanobacteria, which is a family of single cell microbes that are often referred to as Bluegreen Al.

It's a type of cyanobacteria, which is a family of single cell microbes that are often referred to as bluegreen algae Just like plants, Cy bacteria can produce energy from sunlight via a process called photosynthesis. The mini benefits include a dense nutrient profile. It's one of the nature's only complete proteins from a plant source.

It also is rich in many vitamins and mineral. It's a powerful antioxidant loaded with [00:36:00] phycocyanin, and that is what gives it its dark bluegreen color. It's beautiful stuff. Really, this antioxidant is powerful at fighting free radicals and protecting the cells from oxidative stress. It protects L D L cholesterol from oxidation, which is what really makes LDL cholesterol potentially dangerous.

And in research in animals, it indicates that it can reduce cancer occurrence and tumor size. In fact, spiraling as effects on oral cancer or cancer of the mouth have been particularly well studied. In fact, several studies have found that spiral supplementation can be useful for the management of what is called O S M F, oral submucosa uh, fibrosis, a type of pre-cancerous lesion in the mouth.

It even outperformed the most commonly used drug for treatment of this type of cancer. It appears to boost nitric oxide and therefore reduces high blood pressure. There are five different supportive studies that show this. Spirolina is also a PO [00:37:00] popular alternative treatment for. Sorry, symptoms of allergic rhinitis and there is evidence that it can be effective, uh, in fact more effective than sine, uh, as an antihistamine used to treat allergies for improving symptoms of, um, that allergic rhinitis, you know, the runny nose, the.

The head and the watery eyes and all the other things that you think of with things like hay fever. Less well-studied potential benefits include blood sugar regulation helping with anemia, and increases in muscle development and athletic performance. So spiralina a true, true powerhouse nutrient. The next ingredient in vital greens and shrooms is the broccoli sprout, uh, extract, broccoli sprout extract.

Uh, that is, True nutritional powerhouse. We know broccoli is loaded with. Various antioxidants. The most commonly known is sulforaphane, but it's also loaded with vitamin [00:38:00] C and other antioxidant compounds. And the sprouts themselves are a hundred times higher than broccoli, a hundred times higher than broccoli in the compound that creates sulforaphane.

So it is the most potent way to take broccoli would be in the sprout form studies, uh, that have shown. Show anti-cancer properties, mental health benefits, particularly in autism, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's disease. It also shows significant benefits in balancing blood sugar, and it is high in a specific type of fiber that acts like a prebiotic and helps with gastric issues including h pylori infection.

And constipation. The next ingredient is one that I want to go into a little bit more detail back to why we formulate the way we do at vitality barley grass juice powder, as opposed to just barley grass powder. Now, In the United States, you [00:39:00] can buy barley, grass, powder, organic for eight bucks a kilo.

That's pretty darn cheap. But instead, we use barley grass juice powder, which is 40 bucks a kilo. So we're literally talking five times as much for the barley grass juice powder. Why? Well, that's. Pretty simple grasses. Were not made for human consumption. I think we all can sort of wrap our heads around that.

Ruminant animals like deer and elk and cows. Uh, they were designed to live on grass and they do quite well. Uh, their digestive system is not art digestive system and they break down the cellulose fiber and grasses very, very efficiently and are able to get the most out of that nutrition and. That's great for them, but not great for us.

But if we want the nutrition that's in barley grass, how do we get it? Well, the best way to get it is to juice it. Once you juice the barley grass, you're [00:40:00] removing almost all of the cellulose fiber, which gets in the way of human digestion, but you're also concentrating the nutrition dramatically because you're getting rid of.

All of that fiber and cellulose in there and leaving primarily nutrients. So when you look at barley grass juice powder, it is this deep, green, beautiful color. When you look at barley grass powder, it's a much lighter green, still beautiful, but a lighter green pow, uh, color, and that's simply just less nutrition for you when you open up a bottle of vitality.

Organic greens and shrooms, it looks like. I, I don't know if that, I don't know if this is gonna sound good or bad. It looks like the richest potting soil you've ever seen. Only with a greener tent to it, as opposed to just brown. It's super dense, rich, beautiful stuff. I love opening up the bottle and looking at what's in there, but I'm a weirdo that owns a health food store, so whatever.[00:41:00]

Regardless, we use barley grass. Even though it's five times the cost, because it is more than five times better. And listen, there's only so much space in a scoop of powder. Nobody out there wants a greens powder that they've gotta dump five scoops in to get the nutrition that they need. In one scoop, a fairly small one of, uh, the greens and shrooms formula, you are getting a power packed punch of nu nutrients.

And that is because we are using the most concentrated forms that we can, the major benefits of barley grass. There's a bunch of them, but I'll go through 'em a little bit quicker because we are, uh, I'm taking a long time here. It is a great blood detoxifier. It is very high, naturally in chlorophyl.

Chlorophyl can actually help with things like anemia, can help with oxygenation at the cellular level, can help with detoxification of the blood and limp system. It's just fantastic stuff. Very high alkalizing benefit. Uh, you've heard of the acid alkaline balance and alkalizing. [00:42:00] Uh, clear fluids in the body, probably on my podcast and maybe others.

Barley gras juice is one of the best alkalizing foods there is. And like the other deep green vegetables, it is loaded with micronutrients, vitamins, minerals, and so on. The next item, number four in the formula is another juice powder, and this time it's bee juice powder. Same thing. You can go with bee root powder or you can go with bee juice Powder.

Bee juice powder is almost brown. It's so dark in color compared to a light pink color from beet powder. Same thing. We're removing the extra cellulose and preserving as much of the nutrients, nutrients as possible. All of, excuse me, all of what we. In the formula is cold processed to maintain as much of the um, uh, probiotic benefits that might still be present.

And the enzymes, especially the enzymatic [00:43:00] activity to help with bioavailability of the nutrients. Bee juices known primarily for its benefits with nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is incredible stuff. It's one of my favorite things to talk about because in terms of. Overall health improvements. It's hard to beat what nitric oxide can do for you.

Plenty of research showing that it's incredibly important for the brain and prevention of cognitive decline. It is also fantastic for the heart and cardiovascular system, which of course, more people die from cardiovascular issues in America than anything else, and that number is on the rise. Post covid, uh, craziness.

And so beet juice, powder and nitric oxide in particular are a big deal. Uh, bee juice is loaded with something called nitrates. Nitrates are converted in the human digestive system to nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is a gas that pushes against the walls of the arterial system and the vascular system. [00:44:00] And helps to increase elasticity in the vascular system and literally counter or even reverse aging in the vascular system.

This can help reduce blood pressure. It can help with blood flow to all of the extremities, including to the brain. It can aid in athletic performance and athletic recovery. So many great things. But the thing about bee juice powder is it's almost an unsung hero. In other areas because nitric oxide has stolen most of the publicity with beet juice and deservedly so.

Nitric oxide, as I said, is awesome. I absolutely love it. But there are so many other things. Beet juice, uh, powder can do. I already mentioned athletic performance. Uh, specifically they've shown, uh, decreases in risk of dementia in clinical studies. It's loaded with minerals, very high in potassium specifically, and is also a powerful antiox.

In its own right that rich red color indicates the antioxidant [00:45:00] power that beets have. Now, if you want to talk about a superfood, You wanna talk about something that has thousands of years of proven efficacy? How about ceremonial matcha green tea, MAA green tea from Japan, which is the only ingredient in our formula that is not from the usa.

And that is because nobody does MAA better than the Japanese. They know what they're doing with maa. We trust their wisdom and their, uh, countless decades and centuries really of use with MAA tea. Maa tea. The list of benefits is immense, and I'm gonna go ahead and rattle off some of them, but my goodness, I'd have to do a whole show to talk about it.

But let's go into some of the highlights on the Machi Tea. Uh, there's a few things that I absolutely love about one. Is that it does help to provide a jitter free source of energy. A lot of people feel better on matcha, but because the caffeine in matcha is [00:46:00] counterbalanced by altheine, it is very smooth and very balanced when it comes to energy.

Also, it helps to reduce anxiety because of that athe. That is in the plant. It's fantastic. Within 30 to 40 minutes after, uh, someone takes matcha in the clinical trials, they've shown 30 to 40 minutes after drinking matcha, uh, that people foster a state of deep relaxation and alertness. Uh, it also can help you get into a meditation habit because the brainwaves that are.

From matcha t uh, and from the theanine can actually help you achieve a meditative state. So if you struggle with meditation, fantastic. They've shown that matcha helps to improve, uh, mood disorders, such as major depressive disorder. It also has shown to increase. Focus and memory. It is one of the most powerful antioxidants.

Um, matcha is a [00:47:00] form of green tea, right? But what they've shown is that matcha itself is 10 times as high in antioxidants as regular green tea. So not all green tea is created equal. They've shown excellent benefits of reducing, uh, UV damage and sun damage. With acne, alleviating redness, promoting blood flow to the skin, and even to help slow the signs of aging with matcha.

Uh, it also has heart health, uh, benefits, immune boosting benefits. There have been, it has been shown to help with appetite and balancing metabolism. It also. Hormone balancing benefits, exercise benefits, it can be a mild aphrodisiac for both men and women. Helps to support healthy hair and scalp. So many different amazing things.

Cognitive function. It's safe in pregnancy and. A great source of energy while breastfeeding where a lot of other sources of [00:48:00] energy may not be so great. Excellent benefit in the prevention of specific types of cancer, including breast and prostate cancer. It can help with better restful sleep. It is just an absolute powerhouse and the really great matcha grade, uh, can do amazing work.

So that's number five. And that is the, uh, we'll say fruit and veggie side. But I mentioned greens and shrooms. So let's talk about the three shrooms and I'll go ahead and tell you what they are. Lions main is the highest one in the blend, followed by Turkey tail and reishi lions main. I'll just give you the list.

Protects against dementia, relieves mild depression and anxiety speeds, nervous system injury Recovery protects against ulcers, reduces heart disease risk, helps manage diabetes symptoms, may help fight cancer and reduces inflammation. Those are all clinically backed claims that have been shown. With Lions [00:49:00] Main, which is a fantastic medicinal, uh, mushroom and my favorite one that I take every single day myself.

Lions Main also is really, really interesting because. They've shown that in con in conjunction with other brain boosting type things such as nitric oxide, such as, um, you know, ginkgo biloba, uh, choline, uh, magnesium three and eight, those types of things that it seem, seems to have a synergy with those types of things.

And in. Enhances the, uh, overall benefit of brain health with other things that you might do for your brain, and like most mushrooms, it also is a powerful prebiotic Turkey tail, mostly touted for its deep immune boosting abilities. Turkey tail. Like Lions Main and Rahi is also a great prebiotic, but it also has a good dose of antioxidants.

It's one of the more antioxidant rich mushrooms out there. And [00:50:00] as I stated before, one of the most powerful immunomodulators out there. Not an immuno stimulant, but an immunomodulator to help you stay above the phrase, so to speak, when, uh, various, uh, illness might come. Calling ra. May be the most well known along with lion's mane of mushrooms out there.

Right? She has hundreds of years of use in medicine, uh, in, uh, ancient cultures, and I should say thousands. It is a powerful antioxidant and prebiotic. It also has immune enhancing benefits, but a couple of things people maybe don't think about. Rahi. It's a powerful liver detoxification aid. It is great for the cardiovascular system.

It has shown along with Lions Main to help to prevent mental decline and as has been, uh, beneficial in both blood pressure and blood sugar balancing. So this is what makes up the vitality nutrition. Organic greens and shrooms. [00:51:00] The formula is flavored with a combination of natural flavors, uh, pineapple raspberry flavor, including pineapple fruit powder, and raspberry fruit powder.

It is sweetened with, uh, stevia and monk fruit rather than being sweetened with, uh, you know, sugars or worse yet artificial, uh, sweeteners. It is. One of the most pleasant greens I've ever tasted. I don't know how to describe it. I don't think you're gonna dip into this product and pull it, put it in your water bottle and say, oh my gosh, this is the most delicious thing I've ever had.

But this is what's crazy about it. We've now taste tested it out to about five or six kids under the age of 14 and. So far, every one of 'em has said I could drink this. Like they're not really excited about it, but it's not bad and adults are loving it. Uh, we've taste tested it a lot to make sure we got the flavor right.

Um, My [00:52:00] buddy Adam, he took a long time working on this formula, and the longest period of time was not formulating it. It was trying to make this super clean, super strong, super awesome combination. Also taste super good. And I really think he knocked it out of the, outta the park. It is an awesome formula.
