Mind Soul Journeys

When a woman awakens to find the world has forgotten her, every trace of her life erased, she faces the haunting reality of a secret wish once made to strip away everything she was. The World Forgot Me is a story of identity, surrender, and awakening, where losing everything becomes the path to remembering who she truly is.

Jody:

Welcome to mind soul journeys, a space where the mysteries of the mind and the whispers of the soul meet. I'm your host, Jodi Colvard. Let's begin this journey together. What if one morning you woke up and no one remembered you? Not your family, not your friends, not the barista who makes your coffee every day, not even your dog.

Jody:

What if it wasn't them who forgot, but you who had left something behind? This is a story of a woman named Ria and the day the world forgot her. It started like any other day. Alarm, shower, coffee. She kissed her partner's shoulder as he snored and grabbed her keys.

Jody:

She wasn't late, but something felt late, like a clock was ticking just behind the curtain of reality. The first glitch, her office badge didn't scan. Then the receptionist, who she'd known for five years, looked up and said, sorry. Can I help you? Ria laughed, but no one else did.

Jody:

Her email was gone. Her nameplate was missing. Her desk, occupied by someone else. She called her sister. I think something's wrong, she said.

Jody:

But her sister replied, I'm sorry. Who is this? Everywhere she went, nothing recognized her. Not faces, not phones, not fingerprints. It wasn't just that they didn't see her.

Jody:

It was like she had never been there. She ran home, heart racing, but when she opened the door, her partner wasn't there. A completely different couple lived in her apartment. She ran to the bathroom mirror, and for a moment, just a moment, she saw herself flicker, not disappear, but multiply. Three versions, then none.

Jody:

And then the mirror said, welcome back. Ria sat on the floor shaking, breathing, listening, and then remembering. You asked to be released, the voice said, from identity, from attachment, from timeline. And suddenly, she remembered the night she fell asleep, praying for truth, for awakening, to know who she really was. And now she had no one else's version of her to hold on to.

Jody:

No mirrors of memory, no walls of expectation, only stillness, only self, only source. She didn't fight it. She lay in the grass at night. No name, no story, no time. Just awareness.

Jody:

She became the breath, the wind, the between atoms. And in that moment, she stopped needing to be someone. She just was. And then she woke up back in her bed, everything back where it was, partner beside her, phone buzzing, but she was different. She looked in the mirror and whispered, I remember now.

Jody:

Sometimes, awakening isn't about adding more. It's about subtracting, unlayering, unidentifying, unraveling the stories until all that's left is being. So I ask you, if the world forgot you, who would you still be? And would that self be the one that you're always meant to remember? Thank you for traveling with me on Mind Soul Journeys.

Jody:

Until next time, may your path be guided by love, light, and the wisdom of your soul. If you would like to listen to past episodes, please join me at mindsouljourneys.com.
