Good father, I beseech you for the sake of Christ's death and suffering that you will not allow to fall upon me that fearful curse and vengeance which your law has threatened and my sins have justly deserved. Oh Lord, pour the grace of your Holy Spirit into my heart whereby I may be enlightened to see the filthiness of my sins so that I may abort them. May I be more and more stirred up to live in newness of life and love for You so that I may daily increase in the obedience of Your word and in reasonable care of keeping Your commandments. And now, O Lord, I render unto You most hearty thanks that You have elected, created, redeemed, called, justified, and sanctified me, and given me an assured hope that You will glorify me in Your heavenly kingdom when this mortal life is ended.
