Thank you for tuning in for another episode of the estherprinter podcast. My name is Ed Harding, and I'm so glad you're tuning in today. Whether you're new here or have returning subscribers, I just want to say you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. In this podcast, we talk all things business and life, God's way. And in today's episode, we're going to talk about a topic that I think will be relevant to you in this particular season that you're listening to this, which is, is it warfare or is it just business? All right, so today we're going to talk about the things that go wrong in your business. Is it really the enemy or is it just part of God's plan? Okay. All right, so here we go.
Edna Harding [00:01:36]:
I want you to imagine this, okay? Your website crashed, your clients left you hanging, your top member bounced, and now you're asking, what's going on? Like, what's happening, God, Is this like the enemy attacking me? Or could it be? That was poor strategy. Here's the thing, my friends. If you get this wrong, you'll burn out chasing demons that aren't there. Or worse, you blame Satan for what you've never planned for. So today we're going to draw the line in the sand. Imagine me doing this in front of. Sorry, I'm trying to picture myself drawing a sand. Drawing a line in the sand and say, okay, which is warfare and which is wisdom, and how do you respond to each other? Okay, so first let's start off by reading Ephesians 6, chapter 12, which is, you wrestle not against flesh and blood.
Edna Harding [00:02:55]:
Okay, so let's start off by this by acknowledging the elephant in the room, which is if you're building a kingdom business. If you're building a business based on the word of God, you're already a target, period. So if you're working with me, you know this, that their challenges went up galore and the battles just had got more intense. It's because you're a target. Because you're doing it God's way. So if you're working with me, if you're choosing to work with me, and you're still here after all the battles, well done, my friend. Because not everybody can have that type of tough skin, okay? It's really by grace, through our faith, with thanksgiving and on our hearts, not of works. I.
Edna Harding [00:03:45]:
It's only like it's truly for me a supernatural thing. For me to be able to overcome every challenge that I faced and still love Jesus and still continue to persevere in spite of all the heavy things the enemy threw my way. Now, I want to tell you why exactly the enemy targets you. Okay, so let me be specific. Why do you deal with so much battles? Number one, you fund kingdom work. Number two, you influence culture with truth. Number three, you're a walking testimony. And number four, you carry generational wealth potential.
Edna Harding [00:04:25]:
The enemy does not want the wealth of the wicked to the righteous. He does not want that. And that is why. Because he knows that it's money that moves things around. That is the currency of the earth. The currency of heaven is prayer. But the currency of the earth is what? Money. Because money can buy time.
Edna Harding [00:04:47]:
Okay? And so this is why the enemy does not want you to get rich. Okay? Now I want you to to identify three war zones to watch. Let's be very clear what that is. Your mind. Number one, when you have sudden fear, when you have fog, when you have imposter syndrome, watch out for that. The second thing is, sorry, relationships. So when you have miscommunication, when you have conflict, when you have betrayal, that is an area that the enemy targets. And the last part is circumstances.
Edna Harding [00:05:26]:
For example, delays, tech fails, supernatural coincidence. These are things to look out for. Okay? So I want you to look at red flags. Red flags. These are warfare red flags. Okay? Number one, you get intense opposition during momentum. How many of you hello, me? Hello? Is anybody else in the building? Right? When you deal with opposition, when you're finally getting momentum, Number two, when chaos seem to happen, that seems targeted, right? When you're excited about something, all of a sudden, you know, the technology blows up. For example, dealt with that when I was going to speak at a radio station, I kid you, dot my friends, the whole building electricity went out.
Edna Harding [00:06:16]:
And they said that's never happened before. The moment I got handed the mic, the moment I started speaking, it blew out. Could you guys believe that this is a radio station? All right, all right, so, and the third thing is recurring patterns that always hit your purpose point. So for example, if my assignment for me is to teach Kingdom wealth, to teach people how to create wealth, there is a reason why the attacks have always been on my finances. All right? So I wanted so address that part. Right. The first thing. Okay.
Edna Harding [00:06:58]:
But the second thing I want to talk about is sometimes we think it's demons, but in reality, it's bad strategy. So we can't blame demons or the devil when it's really a lack of wisdom or the lack of poor planning. Okay? So let's call it out. Okay, so the top strategy flaws. Let me just list it out real quickly. Number one, no research. You have no testing. You just launch in the name of faith.
Edna Harding [00:07:23]:
So you haven't done a beta test. You haven't done a paper airplane. You just decided to do it because it's awesome. Okay, Number two, Weak boundaries, poor communication, constant confusion. You're not clear on where you're going. You're not clear with your audience, what you're doing for them. Right? This is going to be bad all around. Okay? You need to have clear boundaries.
Edna Harding [00:07:52]:
Right? Know exactly what to expect from clients. Know what. Exactly what they can expect from you. No, expect, like very clear. You don't want scope creep happening. Okay? If you don't know what scope creep is as a project manager, a lot of times clients will demand things of you that is not part of the original plan. Okay? You have to check that and check that right away. If you.
Edna Harding [00:08:15]:
If you see that overspending under planning, team misalignment, all red flags. Okay? This is something that's going to block you from receiving all that God has for you. Ignoring mentors, operating in pride. Yeah, that's another thing. Learn the hard way. And last but not least, calling chaos confirmation. Because it's hard. Okay? Everything doesn't always have to be chaotic.
Edna Harding [00:08:42]:
God is a God of order. So if you're constantly in chaos, there probably is not a demon. There's just a structure and a systems problem, an operational problem. All right, so let's talk about the strategy test. You want to ask yourself, did God lead you to this or did ego rush you into this? Were systems skipped for speed? Right. So instead of creating a system, you decided to go ahead and just run with it without a system, and all of a sudden, everything is falling apart because you don't have a system to maintain it. Which is why I encourage people. Build the ark.
Edna Harding [00:09:17]:
Build the ark. So when the harvest comes, you're ready. All right? We're advisors. Ignored is the fruit consistent with bad planning. Remember, my friends, that wisdom is the key thing, it's a principal thing. It's not optional. It's actually obedience. We need to obey the instruction and the ways of God.
Edna Harding [00:09:39]:
And I can tell you, my friend, God is a God of order. So I want you to remember the scriptures in Ephesians, chapter six, where he talks about the armor of God. And I want you to suit up like a CEO soldier, okay? You're part of God's army. When you're part of my group, you're part of God's army. So you don't have to pick between what being spirit led and strategic. You need to be both. Okay? So number one, put on your belt of truth, practically speaking. Face your numbers, face your metrics.
Edna Harding [00:10:16]:
Lies. Hide in unclear data. Truth brings alignment. Do you know your numbers? Do you know your profitability? How much money are you losing on a monthly basis? How much money are you gaining in Do a P and L statement. Monthly? All right, second thing. Put on your breastplate of righteousness. Remember integrity in contracts, marketing and money. Don't fib, don't lie.
Edna Harding [00:10:40]:
Don't over exaggerate. Do what you say you do. If your heart's off, your brand will bleed. Number three, the gospel of peace. What does that mean? Peace and team culture. Peace and deals. No, peace as an N O. Peace.
Edna Harding [00:10:58]:
Pause the project. Pause the project. Don't move on until peace is there. Number four, Put on your shoe of faith. What does that mean? Don't cancel your vision just because the enemy pressed. Play on fear. All right. Believe God over Google.
Edna Harding [00:11:15]:
Believe God over ChatGPT. Believe God. Number five, put on your helmet of salvation. No mental loops, no what ifs, okay? Know who you are and whose you are. Believe God. Any vain thought and imagination, cast it back down to the pits of hell. Number six, Carry the sword of the spirit. That means speak the word into your lunch, your boardroom and your inbox.
Edna Harding [00:11:39]:
Fill that thing. Fill that stuff. Fill that box with the truth of the word of God. Don't be ashamed of his word, my friends. You're a business owner. If you're a business owner, you could do whatever you please. Don't hide the fact that you're a Christian because you think that customers are going to walk away from you. Good.
Edna Harding [00:12:01]:
Good. You heard me. Stop being afraid. God owns the cattle in the universe. The gold, the city, the hills. He owns everything. And if a customer leaves you because of your faith, he'll send you ten times that. Stop playing small.
Edna Harding [00:12:20]:
Stop settling for less when God wants to give you the best. Remember, my friends, that prayer Is not your back is actually your business strategy? All right, now let's talk about discernment. How do we discern things? Okay, so I'm going to give you five questions to ask yourself. Number one is the timing test. Does a storm hit every time you try to advance? Okay. Number two, the preparation test. Did you skip wisdom steps and call it grace? Come on. I know I'm preaching now.
Edna Harding [00:12:50]:
Did you ask for wise counsel or did you just do it because you're like, oh, grace is sufficient. Peace test is the third one right? Did you have peace or pressure before this began? Okay, the pattern test. Number four, is this a new level of attack or old habits in disguise? Oh, come on, my friends. Number five, fruit test. What's the outcome? Is there clarity and growth or is there confusion and chaos? Because, my friend, if it's warfare, what you're supposed to do is pray harder, fast, deeper. Call your spiritual team. Okay? If it's strategy, fix it, own it, learn, grow. And if it's both, which is most common, you fight it in the spirit and fix it.
Edna Harding [00:13:43]:
Don't pray over, over and over when you. When you didn't take the time to look at the plan, right? So a lot of times you're thinking, okay, I'm just going to pray, pray, pray, pray. But in reality, you're not building. You're not using your hands. You're not seeking counsel. You're not utilizing the tools and resources that are available you everywhere. God will provide you to some way, somehow, when I didn't have money, I read books, I borrowed money so I could get counsel. Like, that's what we need to do.
Edna Harding [00:14:16]:
All right. Okay, so how do we do warfare? Okay, how do we do warfare? Here's some moves. Number one, let's start with the spiritual stuff. Worship first before spreadsheets. Get in the spirit. Number two, declare truth. Speak over your business daily. Number three, fast, intentionally, not just before launches, but before major hires, investments and partnerships.
Edna Harding [00:14:39]:
This is huge, my friends. This is huge. And number four, cover your team. Intercede for them like you intercede for your bank account. Cover your teammates, cover your clients. Okay? Now, strategic moves. This is what you need to do from a practical standpoint, audit your gaps. What's been neglected.
Edna Harding [00:14:59]:
Number two, fix your systems, document and delegate. Number three, check your spending. Your cash flow reveals your clarity. This is huge. And number four, get help. Hire the mentor, Consult the expert. Okay? Remember that as a Kingdom entrepreneur, you need to do both. You need to, what, Work with wisdom.
Edna Harding [00:15:21]:
Do spiritual warfare. But you also need to have Wisdom. You need to do both. All right? Okay. Now the next thing I want you guys to do is build your business war room. Okay, so how do we do that? We have two things. You need a defense, your spiritual defense, and you need your strategic offense. Number one, for spiritual defense, do a daily armor check.
Edna Harding [00:15:44]:
Right. Daily armor check. Ephesians, chapter six. Read it out loud. Number two, weekly strategic prayer sessions. Pray in the spirit on a weekly basis. In fact, I ask you to do it on a daily basis. I've been doing it every morning.
Edna Harding [00:15:58]:
I've been praying in the spirit a lot, and that's really helped me. Monthly intercession and fasting with your team. I do this through my. My clients. I want to do this with my team. Right now. I have a contractor, but when I have my own team, we're going to do that on a monthly basis. If you already have a team, do that.
Edna Harding [00:16:15]:
Prophetic journaling. For insight and direction, write down what the Lord shows you and speaks to you. I write dreams. I write visions. I write word of knowledge, revelation. I write it all in my journal right now. How are you on the offense? Strategically? Okay. I want you to do quarterly financial and operational reviews.
Edna Harding [00:16:36]:
Audit what's working, audit what's not working. So right now it's June, so you should be. Or July, whenever you're listening to this, you should be auditing your quarterly. And what? And your. Fine. Your. Your quarterly financial and operational reviews. Okay? Find out what's working, what's not working.
Edna Harding [00:16:59]:
Okay. All right. The second thing. Annual business vision retreat with God. Ask the Lord. What do you want me to get done this year? I do this on a yearly basis, so do that as well. Sorry, guys. I feel like I need.
Edna Harding [00:17:14]:
I need to drink some water. Okay. Mentorship from kingdom experts. You need to get advisors. I have many of them, and you should find, if you don't have any, come to me, join me, my team. Join my group, and I will mentor you. Okay? And regular performance, review with yourself. Ask yourself, how am I doing? Do a self evaluation, especially if you are a solopreneur.
Edna Harding [00:17:39]:
What an incredible way for you to really see how you're doing with. With the things of God, right? All right, so as we close today, this is our takeaway. I want you to list your top three current business problems, Run them to the discernment matrix, which I talked about earlier. Then I want you to write your spiritual and strategic response plan. And then the last thing I want you to do is declare war with wisdom. Okay? Remember Isaiah 54:17 says, no weapon form against you shall prosper. And that weapon doesn't have to be the devil. The weapon can even be you.
Edna Harding [00:18:20]:
