A weekday morning devotional series written by Aaron Marcarelli and hosted by Chad McBeam
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage battle according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying arguments and all arrogance raised against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,”
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 NASB2020
We must by the power of the Holy Spirit take “every thought captive”. It’s time for us to man our battle stations. We must be constantly vigilant, by putting on our armor and fighting for what is true, what is right and fighting for what is God’s.
To those who only listen to facts and evidence outside of the Bible, of the existence of Christ and what happened to Him, we give them that evidence. To those who believe but do not follow because they have been wronged or have not been loved, or feel judged by the church we need to give them the love of Christ. The apostle Paul says this about how we must minister to others “To the Jews I became as a Jew, so that I might gain Jews; to those who are under the Law, I became as one under the Law, though not being under the Law myself, so that I might gain those who are under the Law; to those who are without the Law, I became as one without the Law, though not being without the law of God but under the law of Christ, so that I might gain those who are without the Law. To the weak I became weak, that I might gain the weak; I have become all things to all people, so that I may by all means save some. I do all things for the sake of the gospel, so that I may become a fellow partaker of it.”
1 Corinthians 9:20-23
It is not us who changes hearts it is the power of the Holy Spirit. We must never give up. For the evil one does not give up. He knows he has lost the war and now he is the insurgent using gorilla tactics to pick off as many as he can. It is our job to fight against it through prayer and worship and with the armour that God has given us.
Let us take the fight to the evil one. So that the power of the Holy Spirit can overwhelm our enemy.
Lord we thank you for giving us your son. We celebrate His birth, life, death, resurrection and ascension that gives us forgiveness of sins and life with you eternally. Give us the strength, grace, love and peace to fight for you always. Please soften the hardened hearts of our friends and family that do not know you. Help us to to be and say what they need. Help them follow you. We pray all these things in Jesus Name Amen…
Shalom Blessings and Press In and Press On!
