Good morning, daily peppers. A very happy Monday to you. So to kick off this week, we're gonna do it a bit different. Typically, when we think about a Monday, we think about all the shit that we have to do. When we look at our calendar, we're constantly adding things. We're adding things to our to do list. And a lot of the time, we start the week off feeling like we're already behind. So if that feels familiar to you, today, I'm gonna challenge us to do it a bit differently.
So rather than just looking at your to do list today, I want you to spend 5 minutes thinking about what you're not gonna do this week. What is actually not a priority? Are there any meetings or things that you can take off your calendar that just don't need to be there? Are there any tasks that are rolling on week after week that you just have to forgive and let go? And are there things that you have majorly over committed to that you need to politely decline? Mondays can feel like an intimidating beast as they are, let alone with all the stuff we add to the week. So even if this feels uncomfortable and maybe especially if this feels uncomfortable, have a look through your task list, have a look through your to do list, have a look through your calendar, have a look at all the things you've committed to, and prioritize. And also keep in mind that idea that I often find quite frustrating that for every yes you make, you're saying no to something else. And let's face it around here, one of the things that we tend to say no to the most is actually ourselves. So what are you not gonna do this week? And what are you gonna say no to? Remember that you do have limited time, energy, and capacity. Choices do have to be made, and it is certainly not selfish to take yourself into account regardless of whether you've been told otherwise.
Have a good one and remember that everything changes when you believe you matter.
