Last that you remembered.
You've been seeing bounty boards everywhere, not with you on it, but with another group
of individuals.
And you remember that last we left off that you guys have to go off and help smuggle someone
back into outset.
But of course, there's a bunch of other details that probably maybe the audience will remember
and stuff like that.
Who here remembers what happened last time and who wants to earn two hero points?
Well, Zorin, I have written three paragraphs from last session, and it's not my fault.
It's yours for including three paragraphs worth of information in one session.
Is one of the paragraphs just all the names of your family members?

There's not one kobold's name in here, except for Beetle.
I think I mentioned Beetle like twice, but that doesn't even count.

Well, if you got the deets, let's hear it.
Yeah, I got the deets.
That's right, Zorin.
Last episode, we escaped the ruins with our lives, but not to leaves, only with his shield.
Outside, the tyrant's guild were active.
And old man Lorne, he was fighting them.
So, uh, once they were dealt with, Lorne came to us, and he was wondering, hey, where
you guys been for the past week?
And we were like, a week?
It's been five minutes.
What the?
Who's flying the plane?
And somehow, what was ours for us had been a week for everyone else.
So some weird shit is going down there in those ruins.
And Lorne, he told us that he would look into it more, but he said that we have some, oh,
sorry, we said that we have some samples for him of the undead crystal havers that we ran
into down there.
So, uh, Heart ate them, and the samples were inside of his belly.
So once we got back to the Elmas, we were like, hey, can you look at these?
And he was like, bet.
So we took Heart out back and, uh, you know, opened his little stomach up.
So cute.
Cute little stomach.
We took all the debtors out, the crystals and the remains, an entire foot.
And we gave them over to Lorne.
And Lorne was like, awesome.
I'll check back in with you after I'm done with this.
And we were like, bet.
So moments after heading back inside, also, uh, Beetle's entire family, his mother and
23 sisters all came inside to the Elmas for a family dinner.
And I thought we were going to have a nightmare difficulty diner dash event again, but there
was a twist.
It wasn't that at all.
It was still a nightmare difficulty event, but it wasn't a diner dash event.
The Tyrant's Guild had an investigator show up with an orc counterpart, and they started
asking some innocent questions.
He was looking into a series of murders and, uh, were obviously suspects.
This guy comes in.
He's like, oh, you know, I'm vibing.
I'm chilling.
I'm just looking at stuff.
We're like, oh no.
Okay.
This is not good.
So Beetle and Heart, they flopped their interrogation with him.
Uh, meanwhile, the orc lady passed out some nice, harmless, fun sparkler toys to every
kobold in the building, uh, Beetle included, because I really wanted to get in on that.
But Grey tried to rescue Beetle and Heart out of their really bad interrogation, and the
three of them wound up in the kitchen where the investigator actually followed them, saying
he wanted to ask them more questions.
But then he locked all the doors and was like, bam, you under arrest, bitch.
And then everybody was like, no, no.
And then Beetle was like, okay.
And, uh, if we didn't comply, he was like, those sparklers that I gave out, those are
going to blow up.
I'm going to kill everyone.
I'm going to sink this entire tavern.
And Beetle was like, cuff me, please.
I already asked for it.
Please, God, don't do it.
Just cuff me.
And so we were cuffed, and the investigators started taking us out the back door.
When mass murderer Holic and Lorne were there, ba-boom, doors open, two dudes, engage initiative.
And so the Gooners were rescued, and we took down the investigator.
We took down the orc stick lady, and everyone survived.
Everyone was safe, uh, except for all the people that Holic murdered.
Uh, the orc and the investigator's remains and their belongings were then deliberately
planted in an alleyway, uh, somewhere along the way down to the Elmas, so that it could
look like something happened to them either on their way there or on the way back.
Uh, we, we tried not to make that too clear, but we did plant the bodies so that they could
be found later on, and, you know, maybe it would look less like something happened at
the Elmas, more, you get it, you get it.
Like, between, between the, the pathway.
So anyway, after that, Lorne brings the Gooners up into the inn, and, uh, he tells them about
some of his findings regarding, not, not the crystals, although he does talk a bit about
those afterwards.
He goes right into what we found in those old ancient ruins, full of the peepers and
the creepers and the crystal-back freakers.
Uh, Lorne tells the Goon Squad that he found, or sorry, we found down there something called
a blot, which originates from Amari's Kingdom of Durn.
And, uh, they are not known to appear in Outset at all.
So, it's something that forms when, quote, something has gone awry, and it's like an
infection.
Uh, and if that infection has spread here, it could cause a massive pandemic.
And we were like, ah, shit, here we go again.
We just got out of one of those IRL, can't wait to engage in pandemic quarantines in, in
our Pathfinder game also.
Uh, as for the crystals, he, he's been looking into the crystals for the Goon Squad, you know,
the ones that we fished out of Heart's stomach.
And he tells us there's something inside them, a soul.
Somebody is in there.
The Atma, or life force, uh, that was devoured by the creature that the crystals came from,
it's inside those crystals.
So, we're like, maybe it's Talim, maybe we can get him back, but we'll have to worry
about that later, because, as Zoran said at the start of the session, we do have a job
to do, and that is taking precedent right now.
We've got a smuggle, an arsonist inside the city, and right now we've got to hurry outside
the city gates to engage in dubious activities.
I love dubious activities.
That's what, that's my middle name.

There's a bunch of cool footnotes, like, for example, that, uh, Beetle confessed all the

We have things like Beetle screaming, if you are, uh, he screamed something along the lines
of, uh, if I'm going down, I'm taking you with me while being on fire and shooting at
all right, you know what, these are footnotes.
These are, like, important, it was a long summary, okay?
I had to cut some stuff to shorten it, okay?

yay so with that so with that all of you have um hopefully made preparations if you haven't
already mess with your character character sheet and stuff make sure you're fully healed up
everything else everything's prepared if you have any special abilities or anything like that that
it is refreshed and you're ready to go because last you talked to elma elma and lauren you were
preparing you were preparing yourselves in the tavern ready to head out and go snag baldrick and
from the details that the elements have given you guys um you know that pretty much someone named
zapple zap has asked to meet at a location a little bit of distance away um from the main cat main camp
in the solitude and all of you will have learned at this point that the solitude is pretty much a
massive swamp that's outside of outset and um you know you can go through one of the very
one other checkpoint that you think is a little more heavily guarded but you know one checkpoint
that has been interceding travel back and forth from the city so you're planning to make your way
out of there into the swamp and meet up at the location indicated in the instructions
so the real question is it going is there anything you'd like to do to prepare anything you'd like to
bring with you
uh i'm checking how many potions we have
like before you go in quickly looks over the inventory uh uh quickly makes sure we have a lot of potions
oh yeah we've got six that's like at least six so we're fine
do we have like a day worth of time to prep or is it like you have 10 minutes
let's say you have a good chunk of the day to prepare that uh you feel that you feel that your
uh your escort's going to be waiting a chunk of time probably very grumpily so but
but if you need to prepare to guarantee victory like now's the time
the perfect day let's get a bunch of blankets to shove on top of him
thank you maddie for allowing the term eat your booty as a permitted term
speaking of eating booty uh because we're taking a long time to get out the door
beetle considers that um our charge might be a little bit annoyed with our tardiness so
to to kind of like smooth things over beetle goes and he's going to purchase a frog and some bread
from the elements so that he can make a frog sandwich it's like a tuna sandwich so he takes
the frog and he grinds it up in his mouth like he chews it up and he gets some mayo and he spreads it
on the the bread and he spits the chewed up frog it's like flaky tuna but it's just frog that's been
flaked by his teeth and he he packs that up nice for for their escort okay good good you have it
nicely packed roll me a crafting check absolutely let's see how well you can uh you can prepare it
let's see how good it's going to actually taste that is a that's an 18 yeah six for an 18 okay okay
we'll keep that in mind that's a pretty good sandwich we'll keep that in mind so beetle just
make the gooner the gooner is whatever you want on it
anything else you want to prepare anything in your in your mind that'll make you go hey i'm i'm trying
i'm going to need to smuggle somebody back into the city because as you remember uh the individual
you're bringing in is baldrick uh and have you seen them bounty boards around an outset uh he is a
wanted criminal uh gray's gonna pack an extra cloak just to throw over him just for extra help
i do have a hat of disguise that we can also use okay we got fat stacks of money last time right
you did get stacks of cash and you have been gathering assets as you've been uh preparing for
your uh big job at the parade and straight so soren heart will go to the one guy he knows uh has
more than he might even want and that is uh diamond hands uh to seek him out in his emporium
heart wishes to um out of every single thing that he can get uh he wishes to uh is it hand is it the
hand wraps and striking runes let me please have striking runes for my hand wraps or you just
summarize it you literally could have asked me this way before the session and then i would be like
okay like if that's what you want to buy before but i haven't got a single message thank you figure
it out on your character sheet salty just wanted you to feel a little pressured she was like if i do
this live then it's hard to feel the pressure of everyone watching and judging it would have been
yes anyway you can't say no i literally got you the money so you could get it before
which one of us is holding on to the uh invisibility potion that lauren gave us
oh that's a great question that is a great question we also have that i'm gonna imagine
that beetle's holding it i don't see it in my inventory and i don't see it in her i haven't
added it anywhere because no one really took i'll take it i'll take it give it to gray gray's
responsible question mark
there it is okay all right i added that to your inventory so with that i assume
preparations are good yeah excellent yeah all right so with that i assume you guys head
out to the solitude looking looking for your escort
yes away we go cool you guys begin to head out from the massive walls of outset
you guys get the head out to the massive walls of outset um you see tyrants guild guards skeletal
soldiers all sorts of individuals going to and fro about that going through a menagerie of trade
you see some points of it are a bit slowed down as people are obviously go through the process of
being inspected and checking out their cargo make sure no one's doing anything scrupulous but you're
able to get out just fine uh with no real with no real resistance of just leaving um as you're
trudging through you see that the solitude like swamp everywhere pretty much some parts of rain but
other parts are beautiful as you go through it might be foggy as you're exiting it out through the day
but uh you're able to track through just fine but just for the speed of how fast you get to your
charge who would like to roll me either a a perception check a survival or nature
oh are are we splitting it up are we splitting it up amongst ourselves
no feel free if you want to heck yeah uh uh who feels the most like i just got expert in perception
so i got a plus 11 on that uh i almost wonder if i shouldn't even roll because i was considering
beetle because it's gross and it's swampy beetle's just gonna ride on heart beetle's not going to
contribute to the travel at all i mean apart from looking around so i'll do i'll do perception
okay uh heart will do survival then uh since he's the big guy he will be the one to be like oh
pick up big fat log slap it down into the mud we walk across the log whatever yeah yeah do you want
do the nature men yeah i'm gonna use survival actually oh damn nice yeah double survival
uh nice and i got it oh no you go you go first i rolled a two for a total of 11
oh no i got a total of 17 let's see 22 so with all your rolls yeah yeah uh beetle and gray you're
able to navigate through uh the swamp just fine um you see various critters various creatures here
some of them waiting in ambush for you along with really spooky looking trees where uh with with
beetle's perception notice that the tree before you got who's uh got super close to it just beat up
like a poor passerby and ate an animal and it's covered in bones you were able to escape that tree
along with gray survival techniques able to identify we shouldn't go there uh creatures
waiting in here you're able to navigate through the terrain pretty quickly heart however you're
leaving a lot of tracks a lot of tracks a lot of a lot of evidence around here and you continue to
stumble through things slowing the party down a little bit you know maybe maybe due to your uh
enlarged nature and dealing with a soggy environment you you slow the party down as you head over
to your charge but when you but you eventually do you eventually make your way north of this camp
and you see this camp it's where there's a pile of like wagons and shacks and little tents here and
there and you would understand this as a training hub and you understand you remember that your contact
paper has said uh the person baldrick which you will identify him is wearing uh metal metal armor and a
cylinder kind of on his head will be waiting for you near an abandoned hut that's the north of the camp
and as you get closer and closer baldrick you are sitting near a hut it's a all alone really dinky it is
currently rotting and you are finding yourself just waiting way longer than you should have but
not for too long because you see three creatures on your way one of them seemed to be a very tall
null which you remember engaging a null not too long ago uh along with that you see a little
creature or something lizard-like on its way and then a massive hulk of a man um pretty much
silhouetting them as they're heading towards your direction what do you do
uh i prepare four alchemist fires
uh just just because he can he's in the middle of preparing them he was ready for he was ready for
the tyrant's guild to send people eventually so you know now's the now's the time
so yeah i'll just have he's got like a little call he's got the little walking cauldron that
he's preparing some chemicals in he sees them approaching and he immediately goes to take cover
behind the rotten building okay so you are you're currently taking cover you're hiding correct
yes i'm going i'll do a stealth yeah go ahead and roll me stealth check for me i'll give you a stealth
i can turn this off because i have
32 oh my god all right that's pretty good um everyone's perception so invisible you he puts
on a ghillie suit so raccoons you guys are heading in heading over to the shed you don't see anybody
you don't see a single soul and you arrive at this hut

try and sniffle snort where this uh contact's supposed to be

little salute like armor's rattling waiting for armor orders from gosford while he's actively on fire
skeleton's just like what do i do

uh attack these people the terrorist is free get him great great great just rolls out of the cart

fucking tired so she rolls out of the cart and she grabs her crossbow um and she's gonna declare

rock and that's all that it can do uh one of the other skeletons will begin to march over oh you hear
just as it's coming over trying to catch you guys off a little bit uh that's all it can do
there was one uh that's the one there's one further on to the right which will try to jump on top here
and try to protect protect greer a little bit look down at you gray and with its glaive will swing just
try to slice down at you it's you 18 on the die for a total of 29 dealing eight points of damage to
you ouch that's all you get from getting slashed by a glaive ouchies ouchy
it'll swing at you again
missing this time you saw it coming last time so we're able to swiftly dodge that one it would
have been god's free's turn but now he's dead but the one at the front noticing oh he's like oh god
things are happening so it quickly rushes up sees hearts in the front line and will also try to
glaive you miss is horribly 11 on the die for a total of 22 tries to swing one last time for map
minus five misses with a name clinking beetle it's your turn a lot's going on so i might
ask for a narrative declaration hey you've got here for yeah only because i i don't know if i
could do this without it but beetle hasn't like revealed himself yet he's got up he's acted surprised
he's drawn his sword he's got like what trainers and then he's going to run to this side of the cart
and get down mr president greer von dwell he's gonna be like you want to tackle i got you and
yeah he's gonna like jump off gray's head and i want to try and prone him like i want to try and land
on greer's head to try and ride him down onto the ground i want to prone him so i'm uh funny enough
like running tackle it's a it's actually a for the wrestler dedication for the fee that that's cool
to me uh i'm not gonna there there's things i disagree with uh to make that narrative declaration

stab at you one more time gets a 19 on the die for a total of 25 hit by zero literally hit my ac yeah
and so it will try to damage you for a total of six to you oh no six damage
but that new turn order now one of the skeletons that got uh messed up
uh will now use its reach to try to stop the prisoner from leaving i'm going to use an action
to hit you with a glaive miss to baldrick this is what the 19 does again and be minus five another
miss and it will try to like critical miss that one's a critical miss yeah it's messing up bad and
so what it will do is that for its final action you see that it'll ready itself like it's getting
itself ready to like stab you if you do any kind of weird movement so you see it to kind of it gets
into like a certain stance that you notice uh and with that gray it is your turn gray whips her head
around to the uh the guard that stabbed her and she just glares and she just she tears off her helmet
and uh lunges at him uh this is now her her hunted prey okay and she's going to bite the out of him
absolutely you see that skeletal soldier bones are good go for it bones are tasty bone for doggy
bone for dog 25 good hit thank you and i'll roll that damage
as a total of 12. you get in there it's not quite as effective as you want but you're like
adam so that's one two actions you got one action left
all right i'm gonna jog bite again for the negative five let's see it
please god please god god what's with you you hit with 19. that total of 19 damage roll
six that's six she's not really effective but uh you're doing a little chip damage here and
there too it's bones and armor she's she's just gnawing on him just hang hang hang hang

there and uh so what we're gonna do because i don't have your item and stuff where i'm gonna

d6s right for a sandwich if i remember i believe it was a lot of d6s yeah okay it will detonate next
turn on my turn ready eight d6s whenever uh whenever but that's the end of your turn
so next round the start of your turn it'll it'll go off you'll quickly call out to heart you might
want to move as as the little package clonks down next to heart and heart can see the little jars
inside the leather package fuming and fizzling
okay with that heart it is your turn
okay uh heart sees this thing land next to him and he realizes that uh he has traded one wizard
companion for another one uh this duder right here uh is in the way he needs to move so heart will
for one action perform flare of blows uh against this duder right here for the first attack
that's uh 11 for total 25. good hit here's the damage
that is 16 damage excellent like it just takes that takes all that damage you just see bones and
armor just crumples if like you know like you know you've seen armor just like take huge dents you just
bam huge din in its chest piece oh yeah uh fist imprint uh second attack uh overhead swing
with uh both of his arms that'll hit uh and that should hit get out of my way 16 damage
again nice boom gone you just crumple this thing and it did like it's kind of like defending against
your blows a little bit no help and it basically just crumples down into like a mass of metal and
bone and your way is clear and i want to step and then i want to step and that's my turn
excellent you are you are now just out of range because i think strictly speaking the splash won't
reach you because it's like a 10 foot radius so it only goes to like it should be put like a radius
on it yeah there's also a cart there for cover yeah yeah you two you two are always fine but that
that's what the radius would be yeah you're okay so with that oh good fun turn one of them will try
to like move up a little bit this way it keeps trying to like jab at you heart not wanting you
to get away so it will get you with this glaive
failing the attack try to stab you one more one more time geez missing both of them it's just poor
undead soldier very undisciplined uh not a lot of training the one up here not the tyrant's guild's
finest hour no no these you know these are just part of the military you know this tyrant skill
and these are like the common soldier to help control things yeah trash this one up here sees
the terrorists getting away and will try to aim at you baldrick with its glaive try to stab down at
you can't get a couple slices slices misses by 514 tries to swing again even with an 18 on the die he
just can't get past you because you've dealt with these before and outside but with a natural 20
on the last one rolls a critical are you serious well it hits you for you're dodging and weaving and
you see like this red being like boing and it sees a weakness somewhere in his latent undead memory of
it being a skilled warrior finally that like bone memory comes together and bam stabs you through past
your armor for 22 points of damage holy shit anything anything for baldrick to say after
nope he will simply grunt he will grunt in pain like an oblivion guardsman
and he will uh weather the blow because he's got the he's got the breastplate for a reason
you see one of these uh undead soldiers will try to get on top of the cart trying to gain leverage
and look down at heart and we'll try to slash down at heart with its glaive
getting a hit 16 on the die for a total of 27 rolling eight on the d8 and 12 total heart takes 12
second glaive attack misses terribly now it is beetle's turn beetle you are prone right next to
gruv on dwell who was the inspector guy get away from me what what gross dog is that
now your disguise off your helmet has fallen he knows what you are
oh what is that thing i know what you are well uh i better get up off the ground
so i'm gonna spend my first turn getting up off the ground all right one actually got two actions left
and then i would like to pull out my jazam oh boy gun i'll say you've you've had it out kind of like
on your lap you know it's dangerous i'll allow you to have it okay uh i'd like to shoot him point blank
yeah he's like what dog is that and beetle just slowly pushes himself up oh no he's around and
looks at him and then raises the gut and shoots beetle be you know exactly what scene this is
this is the call an ambulance but not for me

uh arendel you you wanted to interject with something uh yeah i checked the i checked the

you don't quite get the head shot you want but you just zero and you see his ear bleeding because he's

around and replace the corpse here and let me see if i can get rid of that one other corpse here
there we go he's been shoved him off to the side rattly and he will try to stab at you heart heart
you're just you're just dodging and weave and you're just trying to block all the all these hits
and a couple glaive rolls come in at you and uh only one hits you the second one the mp
minus five for 21 total gets you only rolling one of the d8 for five damage total to you heart
you're able you're tanking them like nothing chipping blocks that's all it is
they are they are peeling little chocolate shavings off of heart yeah oh no but now it's
greer's turn and greer you see what will immediately put up his hands i'll pay you tons of money okay tons
managed to let me go right we're not going to have an issue are we he can seize the gun that beetle has
and he's looking he's looking to you beetle with the gun almost is french fire anything
beetle's eyes are going in different directions as he continues to stare up at him with the gun pointed
it he's like he's uh he's calling for parlay he sees his hands are up in everything um
on the skeletal soldiers here now at the start of the round it'll happen the beginning of your turn
if i remember baldrick so uh the skeleton will try will basically take out a bow will be able to put
take an action put its rapier away take out a bow for a second action draw and see you beetle
one moment here and it will try to shoot at you soon takes the first shot rolls a natural one
fails the shot so
gray it's your turn you hear sizzling and bubbling at the end of the car too
gray can hear the uh the sizzling and bubbling and she's gonna like she's still chewing on this guy
so she's going to swing him around so he's facing the cart uh and not her
uh and then she's going to just keep biting him
she's mad she's tired she's been set on fire she's been demeaned so she's just gonna keep biting
yeah whoop his ass go for it yes that is a hit for a total 22 and i'm gonna do the damage roll
he's still your prey so yeah 10 points of damage but only takes five it's not as effective you're not
quite getting in there uh one more one more with feeling baby for the negative five yeah you still
have two actions he's still your hunted prey so you don't have to refresh that so
26 to hit uh 26 in damage
that's 10 it's gonna be another five actually you have one action left

these are some pretty tough skelemen yeah well they're skeletons you know

five points of damage it melts through him you see this is this is effective unlike the fire and
everyone around him except hard because you have directional stuff because your feats yep take
additional four so in total you did about five six seven eight nine 10 11 12 13 40 yeah a lot of
damage just kind of spread out there a lot of them begins to sizzle away like they're trying to like
keep on some of their armor pieces they're just disintegrating off you have one action left um
i'm going to reposition at the end at the end of my turn ah okay so in a moment i just need to

i'm gonna move through gray go around up and over if you want it is a race play yeah you can go over
that way yeah you're good just phases through just shoom yeah you climb a little platform hop over

guy explodes first one arm continues in one sweep to next one that's saturday on 11.

take its claw and just try to punch your face like punch your face to get you off but it misses
she got stabbed but she's she's holding on the one surviving skeleton will look down at you heart
completely on unwavering no fear in its eyes come down tries to stab you and i am going to spend a
villain point and reroll that one strike see see if i can fish something out of here

that's a hit that's 27 to do it nice and i rolled for 12 points of damage a swing get you there
now it's his first swing i'll try to get you with the second
hits you on that one with a 23 17 on the die hits you for seven and finally it'll take it it'll take
its claw for one hand and whoosh try to slash over to the side even though it rolled pretty good with
a 12 unfortunately it's not enough to take heart down a little bit more beetle got your gun it's not

the chosen creature later this round you must use the result basically it's the thing that we've been

even physically you do the math anyway and you basically go hey i'm going to see what would
happen there so let's say you did devise a stratagem and this is your d20 roll you'll know you will
miss with your with your gun so now you have uh they have an action left so you can either try to
strike with your start with your gun or do something else okay okay okay uh knowing that
i will miss if i shoot i'd like to flip the gun around and smack them with the barrel so that's just
like unhanded blood damage right let's just do the let's do the unarmed attack you got there yeah so
so you'll you'll have to use so basically what it says is that you use your foe's weakness in combat
and use them to form a plan to take your enemy choose a creature you see and roll a d20 which you
practically just did the result uh if you strike the chosen creature later this round you must use
the result you made to the survive so you have to use that roll so you would still technically miss
actually with the 14 um you would still miss you'd be missing by one okay okay then yeah i i just miss
i miss okay so you can reload fire and then reload again if you want yeah i'll do that and then that's
that's that's my turn it's a warning shot you shoot past every side that's fucked up but if surrender's
not an option you see he will swing take out a rapier and because he tried to try to surrender

against it before the end of your turn so he goes oh and you kind of get kind of juked a little bit

restrained overrides grabbed you hot stop him in his tracks you like pincer him up and everything

mp minus five so you couldn't have done that on the things that's my bad i should have uh done

his final stab at heart um heart's huge so he uh he slides his hand along the handle of this halberd
that he has moves it up like two inches so it doesn't hit him and just slides his hand along the entire
handle until he reaches the hands of this skeleton but he keeps on going until he meets like the hip
bone of this skeleton and he grabs the hole of the hip bone like a handle he just turns around
towards this mustachioed man and from the momentum of him turning the skeleton just falls apart
oh that was your furry of blows you have actions left what do you do that was the first attack on my
flare of blows i'm gonna non-lethally attack this guy okay hang on we were over non-lethally
attack before that didn't work out too well when we tried that with picture don't worry i got this
oh no i rolled a 19. oh okay you hit yes i hit baby that's 11 damage
