Hello and welcome to the Transfer News Podcast, I'm Archer, and if you've just woken up wondering whether the January transfer window has exploded yet, well, buckle up because it's getting rather spicy out there. Let's dive straight into today's stories.
First up, breaking news that's shaking things up at Old Trafford. Manchester United have appointed Michael Carrick as head coach until the end of the season. This comes as quite the surprise given Ruben Amorim was supposed to be steering the ship, so clearly things haven't gone to plan there.
Staying with United, and there's some intriguing Marcus Rashford news. Barcelona apparently want him to stay put at Old Trafford, which is fascinating considering the noise around his future. There's even talk that Rashford may have a route back into the Manchester United first team under this new regime.
Now, the Marc Guehi saga is absolutely heating up. Manchester City are preparing an offer for the Crystal Palace defender, but they're not alone because Arsenal have joined the race to sign him as well. However, Barcelona have cooled their interest, so it's looking like a Premier League battle for his signature.
Manchester City are also making a move for another target, this time for Anderson, while Borussia Dortmund are leading the race to sign City youngster Oscar Bobb.
Everton are making waves with some ambitious thinking, reportedly eyeing Arsenal's Ben White. David Moyes clearly fancies strengthening that defence, though you have to wonder if the Gunners would even entertain that conversation.
Bournemouth are having a busy window by the looks of it. Andoni Iraola's side are keen on Arsenal's young talent Ethan Nwaneri, and they're also eyeing Nottingham Forest's Brennan Johnson. Ambitious moves from the south coast.
Newcastle United are facing a battle for Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, and it seems West Ham are right in that mix too, with Nuno Espirito Santo keen to bring Strand Larsen to the London Stadium in January. Competition for strikers is always fierce.

Nathan Ake has rejected a move to West Ham, choosing to stay at Manchester City for now.
Fulham are after forty million pounds rated striker Ricardo Pepi, with Marco Silva clearly looking to add firepower.
Manchester United are considering a move for former academy player James Garner, which would be a nice homecoming story if it happens.
Saudi Pro League clubs are targeting Newcastle's Joelinton, though Eddie Howe will surely want to keep hold of the Brazilian midfielder.
Spanish sides are battling for Bournemouth's Marcos Senesi, with two La Liga clubs interested in the Argentine defender.
And in some completed business, Conor Gallagher is expected to sign a five and a half year deal at Tottenham, which is a significant move. Leicester's Wout Faes has joined Monaco on loan, and Stoke are advancing in talks for Cody Drameh.
