101: My Recurring Income Block
Today we will talk about my recurring income block. Most people think I have a perfect relationship with money because I teach money blocks. Nope, not at all.

Genecia Alluora: Hello, gorgeous, welcome. I'm Genecia Alluora your host for today. And today's topic is my recurring income block. Now, many of you may have income blocks because you have a hidden income plateau, but you know, I think because I teach money blocks and I talk about it in the soul rich woman blueprint, most people think I must have perfect relationship with money. Nope, not at all. In my experience of talking to entrepreneurs at all levels about their success, it is an inevitable part to really have money blocks. Not even millionaires and multimillionaires are immune to the occasional problem and blocks about money. And if they are really growing rapidly, they will hit their own self imposed limits regularly, like a ceiling. Well, that's the good and bad news, right?

Genecia Alluora: Because the good news is that you are entirely normal. And the bad news is that you'll never be able to fully clear those money blocks completely. And the even better news is that it doesn't come naturally. You really need to learn to recognize them, dance with them like chacha, and move on, all while increasing your income to new heights. So let me share with you an example of my old personal money block that has recurred in different ways over the last many years. I used to be embarrassed to share my fails and feelings with you. Well, but you know what? It's so important to hear my story, right? It's the real deal. Okay. So if you want to learn from someone who is perfect, you know what, me. Genisha is not your girl. Okay? So my recurring money block is making money can't be easy. It has to be hard work.

Genecia Alluora: And it came up for me when I started charging my clients. Last time, long time ago, I had given away a bunch of sessions in return for testimonials. But I knew I had to start making actual money if I wanted to make my business survive. And my partner was starting to make noises about me getting a backup job in case this doesn't work out. So I pull up my big girl panties and charge a package of twelve sessions. And it's about $5,000. Well, nothing amazing, but I felt at least it feel comfortable. It feels good for me. So I raised my seeling of being able to charge immediately. I have this strange feeling. I say, can I really help people with their problems and they'll pay me. That seems too easy. Now because I came from a family where people work for a living. My dad works for someone for 30, 40 years in a company. They clean things, they build things and make stuff, organize stuff, you know.

Genecia Alluora: But whatever I'm doing doesn't seem like a real job. It felt too easy just sitting in front of the computer with my zoom, my camera, my microphone, and anywhere in the world I could do coaching, right? But the thing is, it felt too easy and I got a lot of enjoyment out of it. In fact, after my first session with a client, I had this amazing feeling of this is what I meant to do. But so weird after years of reading books like Rich Woman and Rich Dad, Poor Dad and stuff, that breaks my mindset. And I was doing it and I just felt like I was going to get into trouble for it. So much of self subotaging actions. Even though I was able to make money easily. I'm an excellent money manager. I put money into my financial freedom fund every day. My money works hard for me and makes me more and more money, right?

Genecia Alluora: And then every time it comes up again. I did some clearing work on it and soon I was loving my client load and the money I earned. And eventually, of course, now I'm charging like 38,000 triple eight, which is in USD for mentorship, for about twelve sessions to 13 new sessions, and helping clients to really break through their business and do a business and life they love. And of course, I keep increasing my prices and eventually from just $5,000 to where I am now, and even $100,000 Mastermind and without too much drama, really, because I thought my income would just keep going up forever and ever. And then it came up again. I hit a new income flatline. I know, right? Why? Well, it's like, are you serious? God, are you serious, Universe? I thought we cleared my mind about growing my income and doubling and tripling it and moving to the next level.

Genecia Alluora: This time was when I created my first ever group program a long time ago. And instead of working with people one on one, I teach everything I knew in an online course. So instead of teaching individual sessions with each person, I cut my workload down drastically, but still make great money out of it by grouping them together, which is with my membership program and my online course. And my audience loved it. And because it was cheaper for them, right, you don't have to pay me 38,008 USD or $100,000 for Mastermind because it's only like, what, 20 people or one to one, right? So it was definitely cheaper for them working with me one on one. But then it felt like cheating. I really felt terrible about it because I knew if I do a digital course or an online course, I feel like I'm not giving value because it's a money block. You see, it was the same old shit. My old money block tell me that it's not going to be so easy. It's going to be hard. But again, I use the tools. I talk about it in my book and in Soul Rich Woman Blueprint, I work on those feelings and my income started rising again.

Genecia Alluora: Until the next time. Now, the first time I ran my online course and online program, it was a huge stress because I was putting and having midnight oil, burning midnight oil, trying to put the sales pitch together. I was still creating hangouts and sending them out. I got very little sleep, especially during the sales period. You know, I'm sure you've been there, but because it was so much work, I felt I really earned the money. Because of so much work, right? These, do these, do that, do the automation. Do the emails and after all I didn't sleep enough because of it. I sweat so much because it was like a real job even though it was online course. So when I turned the course into a home study version and suddenly it wasn't that much work, right? Everyone was already created. Everything was already created. So it felt like cheating again to make money out of something that didn't require a lot of blood, sweat and tears.

Genecia Alluora: I knew the material was great and the results were phenomenal, but it just felt too easy for me because it's just one time work and you can actually sell it a thousand times, right? So when every time someone buys my online course, like the Soul Rich Woman Blueprint or my Make It Happen Ways To Get from Stuck to Unstoppable online program, I feel like screaming, wait, let me come over to your home and help you open up and do the exercises together. Let me earn your sale. Or I would love to just switch on my camera and oh, can I run through a view of program step by step? It was my old friend, my own personal money sabotage. It's not that big a deal to start clearing this stuff, especially when you have the support of a mastermind. But it always feels real. So there was a couple of years ago. And you know what? It is very important.

Genecia Alluora: So this again, the same old feelings, right? This is too easy. How can I make more money when it's not hard? Now, when you talk about this, I just feel that humans are very weird. And it's like it's the same weird strange feeling when you get when you make your first ebook sale or when you're working on your sales page with the dream of passive income dancing in your head. And it's why you procrastinate and sabotage your success even though you are getting what you have always wanted. So that's why I constantly say perfection is not the goal. You are not working towards a complete absence of money blocks. You have to learn to move through them regardless and keep moving forward.

Genecia Alluora: You see, it's not just about the blocks anymore. You really have to kind of get over it. Even though it keeps popping up in your head regularly you just have to like, okay, let's work on it. So for me, mine comes up once every six months or so. Even every time, every time I hit a new income flatline and even though I teach money blocks and my Soul Rich Woman Blueprint and Make It Happen book and program, I still don't have perfect relationship with money. Even though I have multiple six figure businesses, I'm still not immune to the money shitty situations. I'm sure that as I continue to scale and grow, I will have all these things coming back to me and haunt me but of course the difference now is that I can get out of it much, much faster.

Genecia Alluora: I no longer allow it to drag me to the bottom of the ocean anymore and spiral out of Control. You know? I'm no longer at that Phase. I'm like, okay, I'm aware, I can do it and then just get out of it as quickly as I can. So if you are just starting out. You might think that Genecia is crazy. After all you might think that once you get to six figures, your life will be perfect. You will be perfect, you will be still you okay just with a little bit more money. So interesting, right? You have to think about your recurring money blocks in order to make recurring income. It's not just say that, Oh, I want to make passive recurring income or active recurring income, whatever that maybe and mean to you. You have to work on your money blocks so when they come up and haunt you, don't let yourself get into, Oh, I'm not meant to be rich. Oh, I'm not meant to be a Soul Rich Woman.
