So this stained glass piece is a woman sitting under a tree reading a book. And the sky, the glass I picked for the sky, this purple and pink. It is inspired by a friend of mine and her name is Sharifa and I even asked her for her input before I made it. I said if I were to design, a young woman reading a book under a tree, what color garments? So she picked a red hijab and a red, blue, rather a blue dress. And so that's what I used, and I'm thrilled.

The book. So I did a pop of orange, which wasn't my original intention. I had a gold color, but it blended into much with the green background of the hills. And then I tried a date dichroic glass, but that made a black background on the other side and I want it to be reversible. So I went with the orange.

So the book really stood out and I tried to. There's a little message here. It's not just a woman reading a book and escaping, escaping to another world. It's specifically about, women being educated or not educated. In Afghanistan, it's not always an option for women to be educated. And so, this was inspired by Zarif, who is wonderful and a poet and a reader.

If your art medium or your art form is anything other than painting, because some, some galleries only specifically have painting that they consider that the highest art, the fine art, fine art.
