Rick: Welcome to Dutch Dialogues by Dutch Fluency! I'm Rick, and today Emma, Sophie and I are sitting on a nice terrace talking about something you see everywhere on your phone. Ready to learn some Dutch while we chat about it?
Rick: Hé, moet je horen!
Emma: Wat is er?
Rick: Ik lees iets op NOS. Het is over Libanon.
Sophie: Oh ja?
Rick: Ja! Israël doet iets in Libanon.
Emma: Wat doet Israël?
Rick: Veel mensen in Libanon hebben geen huis meer.
Sophie: Echt waar?
Rick: Ja. Veel huizen zijn weg.
Emma: Dat is erg.

Emma: Uhm... dat is niet goed.
Rick: Nee. Echt niet.

Rick: Weet je wat grappig is?
Emma: Wat dan?
Rick: Ik lees dit hier. Op een terras. Met koffie.
Emma: *lacht* Ja, dat is raar.
Sophie: Jij en je NOS, Rick.
Rick: Hé, ik ben informatief!
Emma: Informatief? Jij leest de hele NOS elke dag!
Rick: Dat is niet waar.
Sophie: Dat is wel waar, haha.
Rick: Oké, misschien een beetje.
Emma: Een beetje? *lacht*
Sophie: Jij leest ook NU.nl, toch?
Rick: Ja, en? Nieuws is goed!
Emma: Mm-hmm.
Sophie: Maar Libanon... dat is ver weg.
Rick: Ja, maar het is wel belangrijk.
Emma: Klopt. Veel mensen zijn ziek. Of bang.
Rick: Precies. Ze hebben geen huis.
Sophie: Waar slapen ze dan?
Rick: Dat weet ik niet precies.
Emma: In een tent?
Rick: Misschien. Ja.
Sophie: Dat is niet goed in de winter.
Rick: Nee. Echt niet.
Emma: Is het koud in Libanon?
Rick: Uhm... soms wel. Ja.
Sophie: Tja.
Rick: De comments op NU.nl zijn nog erger.
Emma: Haha, wat zeggen ze?
Rick: Oh, van alles. Veel mensen zijn boos.
Sophie: Snap ik wel.
Emma: Ik ook.
Rick: Maar sommige comments zijn heel raar.
Emma: Hoe raar?
Rick: Gewoon... heel raar. Typisch internet.
Sophie: *lacht* Ja ja.
Emma: Drink jij nog koffie, Rick?
Rick: Ja! Dit is mijn tweede.

Rick: Aan koffie of aan nieuws?
