Host
Eric Feeney
After teaching for nearly a decade at his alma mater in Waterbury, in 2014, Eric Feeney began teaching at Wolcott Elementary in West Hartford. Shortly following, Sam Sohn, the father of one of his students, passed away suddenly from a heart attack. He left behind four beautiful children and a loving wife, Nancy Wallace-Sohn. Eric saw first-hand the toll this took on the family as they navigated their way through this unthinkable tragedy. The following year, Rashad Collier Sr., another father of a student in Eric’s class, passed away in Hartford as a result of gun violence. Rashad left behind two fantastic children and a loving wife, Denise Villegas. The impact of these tragedies weighed on Eric and motivated him to build an organization that could provide assistance for similar situations. With that, Friends of Feeney was born. In 2019, Friends of Feeney Inc. became an official 501©(3) nonprofit organization, allowing more funds to be raised and expanding the range of services provided to children and families in need. Today, over a decade since Eric’s idea to build a community organization dedicated to supporting our friends in need, Friends of Feeney has burgeoned into a reputable and recognized organization capable of providing financial and resource support to numerous families and individuals across greater Hartford and beyond. Through this work, an incredible community of children and families has been recognized, who care for and appreciate each other’s kindness.

Stefania's acting journey began as early as the fourth grade, where she took on the role of Scarlett O'Hara in a stage production of Gone With the Wind. This early experience sparked a lifelong passion for the arts. With a background in musical theater fueled by her love of music and singing, Stefania stepped into larger roles, such as Fraulein Kost in Cabaret during her sophomore year at the University of New Haven. What is Feeney Talks With Friends?

an amazing and amazing party.

I haven't had that much fun
in a long time.

I, when I lived in
Florida, was an event planner.

Oh, so I love to throw the party.

Yeah.

I've also never thrown a party
that wasn't teamed.

This wasn't really theme, but
it was kind of like being around pumpkin.

Yeah, yeah.

But usually my parties have some kind of,
like, really ridiculous game

that everybody has to go for.

Yeah. No, I'm all in. Dress up.

Yeah.

Ready? Ready.

So you got waters?
I might look at the notes.

It goes back and forth.

We'll shoot video and audio.

We'll shoot for 50 minutes,
but we'll keep it going.

Am I good with the mic? Like where I am?

You can bring it towards you
a bit more. Like to be interested.

Yeah, that's. That's good. Okay.

All right, all right.

Feeney talks with friends episode 165.

What's up? Ellie? Hi. 165.

Once did I say 165.

Start over.

I start over. Why? What happened?

They almost scored. Ken.

It's 167. Okay.

Because you went.

All right. Good. We'll start over.

Perfect start.

There you go.

All right, take two.

All right, all right.

Feeney talks with friends, episode 167.

I'm in the building with Ellie.

How you doing? I'm doing fantastic.
How are you?

I'm so excited to talk with you.

We got Ellie Doyle in the house.

Reheated coffee club,
Connecticut, unfiltered.

This is great. This is great.

This is Feeney talks with friends.

My name is Eric Feeney, founder
and president of Friends of Feeney.

It's a nonprofit, and we help children
and families that need assistance.

After heartbreaker tragedy

and I use this podcast,
Feeney talks with friends, and I talk to

wonderful people in the community
that are doing great things,

and you are in the community.

I'm happy to be in the community
now, taking it by storm.

Yeah. Communities embracing.

Yeah. We're so happy
you're here in Connecticut.

We're going to start.

We got a lot of talk about.
You have the launch party.

You have a podcast.

You're a twin mom? Yes.

You know.

How are you?

Yeah, I'm a twin mom, too.

You are.

I love twins.

Yeah, we'll talk twins.

Let's just start with this launch party.

I have to tell you, Ellie, one of
the best times I've had in a long time.

That makes me so happy.

Really?

Yeah.

Like, I feel like I can't enjoy a party
if, like, other people aren't enjoying

the party.

But I do have to give a shout out to to
Jen from Fresh Events because she had me.

I could be, like, present.

Because usually when you're, like,
planning a party, you're like,

oh yeah, checking in all the things
you have to run and do stuff.

But yeah, she had

had it and I was just like hanging out
and well, shout out to Jen.

She's from Waterbury.

Yeah, I'm from Waterbury.

Yeah, Waterbury, Waterbury, Waterbury.

Jen's from there.

She has that accent to Waterbury water.

Also shout out to on your podcast
episode one.

She remained nameless,
but your publicist is an amazing friend.

Yeah, we won't say her name. Say her name.

But if you want episode 130,
go back and check it out.

She's.

She's a friend of Feeny. No.

But back to this podcast party.

As soon as I walk in, I see my friends.

I'll show a picture right here. Boom.

We had the picture of, like,
it was Ali, Eric Berg and Keith McGilvery.

It's a good crew.

Yeah, yeah.

Missing someone else to McGill. Query.

Who was it?

Caitlin McBee. Yeah. Caitlin McBee.

She wrapped.

So did you.

Oh, but that's surprising.

The karaoke turned up.

Listen, I love it when when I say I had a.

Did I mention it?

I had a good time on this at this party.

Listen, when you have karaoke
and good vibes and good people,

that's your cards, right.
Did you do a terrible. No.

I wish, I wish,
but I saw my crew as soon as I walked in.

I did karaoke with Eric B.

I wish I could have done a little better.

I need a rematch.
I did, we did Snoop Dogg and Dre.

Maybe we'll do a little video,
a little clip here.

Luckily, Matt Bard's Matt Vannevar
got the best part of my Relax.

Distracted. Okay.

I like this.

Coming it up

and control the beauty in the same time.

Oh, don't run that.

Hey, you know that I'm a.

I think I have a full recording of it.

Oh, boy. Yeah. Delete, delete.

Ain't nothing but a G thing, baby.

Did you hear? Ali's be my little baby.

Yeah, she killed it.

She was so good.
I've ever heard of my life.

It was like Sandra Dee from Greece.

I felt like it was to me.

I felt like she was seeing my heart
and soul.

She was really good.

She was really good. No,
it was a great time.

I networked, I met Kevin from Korra.

Korra met Anthony?

Anthony never met him.

No clue who he is.

Know all about him now. Oh, wow.

Oh. Let's see. Show and tell.

You know, I'm a third grade teacher.
I got show and tell.

Can you tell us about these?

Broken.

They broke. Made it this far?

It broke on my way here.

Actually,
this one's not broken. Oh, there you go.

I got kids fasting for lent,
so we're going to hold off, but, you know.

But these are great.

So as good as they look to
sometimes, like,

the pretty cookies tastes like ass,
but these are good.

No, this is cool.

And what's with the eye on filtered?

Is that a reason for that? I like that.

Let's make up a reason,
because I just liked the esthetic.

But we could say because it's, it's like,
oh, okay, I like it.

Got the show and tell.

Shout out my people.

No. Anything you want to share about
that podcast launch party that I missed?

I mean, there is.
Let's talk about the location.

Oh, so there one of my podcast season
one sponsors.

They're really cool.

So the owner depot,
he's like a screenwriter.

Like, he's made movies and the the movies

that he's made are framed in solar,
but he's just like a creative.

And they have private suites.

But then also that main area.

And I did my birthday
in one of the suites.

Yeah, it's just such a good vibe.

And they're good people and they do a lot
with the community events there.

As I mentioned, friends from Waterbury.
I'm in West Hartford.

This is a perfect location.

I text friends that night
I sent up a picture of,

I'm like, we're meeting here.

Yeah, like we're going to rent a room.

The husbands and wives and double date
and sing and have a good time.

So much fun. And depot.

I already connected with him.

So good people
having connected with. He's.

But I'm looking forward to these.

How about my pen?

Oh, the happy confection.

Another sponsor like you're ripping off.
You know, I got all this.

Fill my pockets. You're like,
hey, free table.

Yeah, they call me Eric Freeney.

If it's free is for me.

You know how much I pay for this.

You know how much
I pay for this free 99. Wow.

No sponsorship table.

Yeah, so very cool.

And then.

So congratulations.

Podcast one is out.

I watched it Anthony.

Anthony, like I said, didn't know him.

Now I know all about him
I know I learned a lot about him.

He likes Marvel I like Marvel
I like Nike, he likes Nike.

He said he has ADHD.

I might have some little,
little touch of the eight HD, you know?

So yeah.

What's up with Anthony Anthony,
how that connection happened?

I met him on the pizza trail
when Connecticut

was rolling out their pizza
trail of, like, the top 100 places,

and Tim and I just connected, like,
right off the bat, like,

we had a love for marketing

and also kind of were pretty unfiltered
and shot the shit.

And he was like, very like witty banter.

And we were just like,
oh, we're gonna be friends.

And then we were just

like showing each other
videos of each other's kids on the bus.

And like, our kids are like swearing.

And we're like, isn't that funny?

And I said, dude,
if I had a son, I name on Feeny.

Feeny,

I would.

I'm telling you, ask anybody.

Feeny. Feeny.

All right. Maybe if I had a dog or a cat.

No. What's that?

All right.

So in Hawaii, my brother wants to be
university in Hawaii.

When somebody says something
and you want to lock it in

like it's true, it pounce, pounce.

Like, now I can't go back on it.

Got you, got
you got no back seats in the class.

Two of the kids
like I don't get my homework tomorrow.

You get pounce, pounce.

All right. Is that Hawaiian word?

All right.

Like a wine phrase.

Very cool, very cool.

And then we only mentioned
that your publicist is unnamed

because she was anonymous at minute
38 of episode one.

Are we going to keep her
anonymous or what?

She doesn't have to be okay. She's.

She does PR
and social media for a lot of businesses.

And yeah,
she helps me a lot in my daily life,

not only with my
getting like, brand deals and

what they call the

sponsors, but also just keeping me
sane. So.

Well, let's talk about
you started off Reheated Coffee Club.

Yeah.

Then it spun to Connecticut unfiltered.

How was that transition?
Where did that come about?

What was the inspiration for that?

So Reheated Coffee Club
wasn't supposed to be a business.

It was just kind of like me
venting to the camera about like how much

I hated Florida,
how much I was excited about my move,

and people were just like,
oh my God, we didn't.

That's really what Florida's like.

I was like,
oh my God, people have no idea.

So I started sharing
more about the journey,

and then it kind of evolved

when I got here to like,

the best part of Connecticut
and why you should

really appreciate the state so much.

And then there was such a need
for longer format,

like people wanted longer conversations.

My videos were already like over
three minutes and like social media

algorithms don't love
super long format videos.

Favorite
like the 60 to 90s for the most part.

So the talks of the podcast
started coming and,

you know, it just
it took a little bit to get the ideas.

The Connecticut Unfiltered
is because the coffee may be filtered,

but the conversation is not okay,
I like it, I like it.

Coffee club people
always think it's like a coffee pitch.

I'm like, not kids.

You get it?

Like you never have a hot cup of coffee.

Reheated coffee club. Gotcha, gotcha.

Yeah, kind of all.

And it's just kind of a way
to talk to people who are moving to shake

in the community and breaking that stigma
of the drive through state.

Love it. Yeah. Born
and raised in Connecticut.

I got it getting you on.

All right, I'm on. Sign me up.

Can you drop who's guest? Two and three.

Can you give us some exclusives?

Who we got lined up.

So Kathleen Roche
at Connecticut bucket list. Okay.

She is.

Her episode has been filmed.

It's awesome and hilarious.

And she likes a lot of your stuff. Yeah.

Connecticut bucket list.
Is there two bucket list?

Does she go out and eat food,
or is that something else?

She does eat. Most people do to survive.

No no, no.

They record like, oh, I love this burger.

I mean, sort of.

She's she's everywhere.

Like, she even does, like, travel stuff
to like, Croatia and whatever.

Oh, geez.

She's probably one of,
if not the biggest Connecticut influencer.

And she's awesome. Oh, wow.

And she's also a big advocate for, like,
good politics and being a good person.

So, she is episode two.

She'll come out April 10th.

And then I recorded yesterday
with Sean Crane.

He is a National Geographic photographer
who is running African wildlife tours.

Wow. He's doing something really cool.

Where in an age where everyone is like.

So everything needs to be
for the gram? Yep.

He has you disconnect.

And since he's
a professional photographer,

when you leave, you get a full photo
book and video of your trip

as if you were taking pictures yourself,
but you're fully present.

Okay, I really like that because again,
being a teacher,

making posts, you know,
the phone, we're on the phone a lot.

So I think that trip is great.

So you really go African safari or. No.

Did he say, where are we going?

He does a lot of places.

He'll kind of plan a trip around you,

but he has the most connections in Africa,
so that's where he's been going.

But he's doing.

So you don't.

That person will not have their phone
the entire time.

You're just in nature
taking it in, taking your phone away.

Okay. But it's that's kind
of how he's selling these trips.

Like, I will capture every moment for you
so that you can fully be present.

Yeah. You posted that picture
today. Older gentleman.

Yeah, yeah. Because I was like,
I don't know this guy. Yeah.

He was at the launch party as well.

Oh, he was funny enough. He's
actually a family friend.

So he was roommates
with my uncle in college. So.

And National Geographic is still a thing.

Yeah. Yeah.

That was awesome.
I know growing up, that's how I like

my first inappropriate picture.

National geographic.

It was in the library,
fourth grade at Kingsbury School.

That would be banned in Florida, right?

Yeah,

it was a topless person.

I think, in Africa.

I still remember Who's 4 or 5?

Six and seven. Who do we got lined up?

So you got the whole season 12,
12 episodes ready to go.

So we're gonna get you in
first season two.

All right.

So Arda Ocal and recording with him
next, he's ESPN.

Okay, then we have Anna Davis.

She's a Reiki master,
so she's kind of in the wellness field.

She's cool. She completely

reinvented herself in her 40s
and was never into that, like woohoo!

And then just totally
was like enthralled in it.

Like when and learned

all about the quantum physics of it
and like, jeez, she's cool.

We got Luke Ronen, okay.

He's running for Congress.

Sherry Kanter, great karaoke singer.

Luke killed it.

Bruce Springsteen fun fact

one of his songs he recorded like an album
that's on Spotify.

I might stop exclusive on for my podcast.

Yeah, go into detail on that one.

Is like in a Dawson's Creek episode.

Star.

Yeah, he's a good friend.

So he'll be a fun.

And I am excited to

to interview a politician because I'm not
going to take some politicians response.

I'm going to be gritty.

Get into it.

Make you uncomfortable. Unfiltered.

Unfiltered.

Luke Brown all right.

Yeah. He's cool, I like him. Yeah.

And then Mayor Sherry Canter. Yep. Nice.

Good friend.

Huge, supportive. Wonderful person.

We couldn't have a better
mayor in West Hartford.

I was a finalist for teacher of the year.

She wrote me
a handwritten note to my house.

She just asks about my family.

She's just a wonderful, wonderful person.

So are you, like,
every kid's favorite teacher.

I try to be, you know, being a
being a male in a third in third grade.

It's like automatic rock star status, but,

so it's cool.

I try to be.

That's when I just reshared
that a while back on Facebook.

You know, you made it
when someone out there, when you're

when someone out there can say, hey,
that's my favorite teacher.

That's a question
I ask every podcast, too.

So and it's mostly in elementary
school person that I get the response.

If I were to ask you who who's your
I think,

I think actually
my favorite teacher was a male to see.

Well, great.

I think fifth grade. There you go.

I taught fifth grade once.

They think they're seniors in high school.
They think they're so cool.

Yeah.

I didn't want to teach kindergarten
because you're blowing noses

and tying shoes.

Third grade. Right in the middle. Perfect.

I will say he did.

My mom was a teacher at my electric school
from a family of educators as well.

Almost became one myself.

But he did confiscate one of my notes

that I was passing to Dylan Helfand
and gave it to my mother.

And it said, are you still going
to kiss me after school?

Nice getting after it.

Fifth grade?

Yeah, well, it was it was like a peck.

And I think it was like a cheap,
to be honest.

But yeah,
my mother had words and let's tell Mr..

We, I just intercepted
a note the other day and he's like,

would you like me to read this out
loud? No.

So kids still pass knows
still passing notes.

My heart happy. Yeah.

Well it was just like a
it wasn't like that kind of note.

It was just like, hey, what are we doing?

I think it was just
a quick little question, but I made it.

I made it sound like it was going
to be real meaty, but it was nothing.

What if you opened a note
and it was like, Mr.

Feeny sucks?

Yeah.

Wouldn't be the first time.

It's funny.

Oh, yeah.

So teaching. Aren't
you teaching something?

You know, you have some education
in your plans and your future.

Is that an exclusive? Are we? Yeah.

I just haven't finished it yet.

But I'm going to be launching
kind of like a content

creating course
on an app called School Skool.

But basically it's like different modules
on how to your business owner can do it.

A person who's starting out
content creation can use it,

but it's how to make a platform
for yourself in a way that is actually

going to encourage engagement
and not just be another person.

In the clog of thousands and thousands
of people you're scrolling through.

But it gets really in-depth
to like engagement, to SEO,

to how to edit,
how to put yourself out there.

What's worth your time,
what's not, how to avoid burnout.

But there's going to be like 15.

How to use AI, how to not use AI
because we're seeing a lot

of AI spelling errors and stuff.

Oh my goodness.

But you can clock an AI flier,

you can clock an AI voice over
and it's just really cringey.

Yeah, the way they say things.

I just saw one today, a bakery.

I think it said there was two apostrophes.

It was like Wednesdays.

Oh, special. So it was Wednesday.

Apostrophe s, apostrophe s,
and I was just like, my guy.

You posted this? Yeah. Like,
how did you not like.

Can we get a little proofread? Yeah,

said the
teacher, so I got some homework for you.

This is a reading comprehension passage.

Okay, so it's discover the magic
of Connecticut State full of surprises.

You know, giant castle,
real dinosaur footprint.

Best pizza.

The Constitution state.

It's just that's our intro page.
That's our hook.

But then it says,

oh, it does mention Mystic Aquarium,
Sleepy Giant, Mystic Seaport.

I'm going to let you read.
I don't want New Haven style pizza here.

No trip is complete
without a great snack. Connecticut.

Famous for New Haven style pizza.

Best pizza in the country.

Agreed.

Then some words that we talk about.

Fortress recreated. Unique.

All right, you make me out
like a syllabus, and we got you.

Well, these are keywords,
and these are important words.

If you didn't know what they meant.

Okay, so this is
your word is your word box right here

I'm going to tie.

Well I'm going to collect this next time.

You can take this home okay.

Maybe Mike can help you. My dog.

You got open
ended. There's our scoring rubric.

This is an open ended passage,
you know, and then.

All right, let's see what here
if let's see let's

see if you could just think of something
right here.

You ever been to Gillette Castle?

I saw it on the Essex train,
but I haven't been inside yet.

All right.

Is it
does have anything to do with the razor?

No, no, I thought so, too.

All right, that's for you. Homework.

Next time I see you, I'm going to score
you well.

Do you read for 20 minutes a night?

For hours a day?

Okay. Audio audiobook is reading.

I'm going to tell all my listeners
I'm a third grade teacher.

I feel like that. Don't knock it.

Okay, you heard it here first

because I get mixed responses
when I tell people when I'm like, oh,

I read that and you're like, oh

yeah.

Did you absorb the content?

I did, and I learned new words from it.

Exactly.

Changes my perspective on things
sometimes.

And graphic novels.

That was frowned upon back in the day
when, like diary of a Wimpy Kid came out.

I had two baskets of graphic novels
in my classroom library.

Now I have ten baskets of graphic novels.

Anything to get a kid reading?
Totally encourage kids reading.

So totally for it.

I got my daughter,
my six year old, a bunch of graphic novels

that are like from the 80s,
from the next chapter.

Okay. Yeah.

Good spot. Yeah.
So they have a bunch of them.

It's so inexpensive there too.

Connected with the school system. Yep.

Yeah.

What Baby-Sitters club or they were
just like old, like He-Man and the old.

Yes. Classic. Yeah.

She loves that. There's
gonna be a new He-Man movie coming out.

I saw that,
I went to see Project Hail Mary,

and that was one of the trailers
I saw that I wrote that somewhere.

My daughter saw that twice. Wow.

I don't know if she likes Gosling or not,
but but she said it was really good.

Yeah, Gosling was great.

And remember the Titans?
That's where he started.

He was great.

And Barbie Barbie
I know I haven't seen that yet.

What?

I know I'm missing out
I know it's it's on the list.

It's on the list okay
I'm thinking like that down girl Barbie

I haven't seen Barbie Heimer either.

That was when people were watching
Oppenheimer and Barbie together.

Project all.

Here it is. Hail Mary boom.

Had it on my notes.

Oh, and then you mentioned
a Michael Pollack with Anthony Anthony.

I didn't know who that was either.

And you made him laugh
and it was a good thing.

So I'm like, he must be cool, really cool.

So he is the artist behind
all of the the pizza capital.

So when Anthony's children say, hey,
you work, dad, you work for pizza.

Anthony Pollack's in that realm.

Michael Pollack. Yeah.

Oh, sorry.

So he does a lot of work
with Feeding Families Foundation,

a nonprofit that brings meals to parents
that are in their kids in the hospital.

And he kind of is just like,
pizza's, like, all encompassing for him.

So he has his studio at district nine
with all these huge pizza murals and like,

pizza art, then, I mean, it's crazy,
like, it's really cool experience.

It's almost like
a museum of Connecticut pizza.

But where Haven it's it's possible.

District nine.

Okay. Kind of like a co-working space.

But he also has it has his gallery.

I was there
bears barbecue district nine maybe.

Is it. Yeah.

And then he has, like the hub of the New
Haven Pizza Club there.

And it's like this,
like hangout. It's almost like if

pizzas were in a fraternity and

had an art.

See? Hangout.

That's what I like it.

Is he going to be a guest? He is. Okay.

I got to figure out
when might be season two.

But he's he's a guest. He's a character.

So he's very like stoic.

And then you break through the walls
and he's just like a

you got to like dig
a little. He's an onion.

Got to peel back the layers.

Or as you know, he's Connecticut. Cool.

Oh yeah. Humble.

I remember saying that I was like,
what is Connecticut cool.

But no Anthony.

Anthony,
we're going to connect for coffee.

I'm really looking forward
to connecting with him.

It was a great podcast, right.

How do you feel after episode one?
How does it feel?

You know, I'm my harshest critic.

So there was like some things

that I wish I did better,
but I think he was a perfect first guest.

Yeah, he was really, like patient
and gracious with me, like stopping

and going and rerecording things.

And I think that it set a good standard

for how the conversation would flow
with people like where they know it.

It's going to talk a little bit
about your work,

but we might get into like your life,

your personal life,
your marriage, you're dating life.

Your love language is like it's
going to go everywhere.

You were like, I knew he was a good dude
when he fixed my makeup.

When my makeup was messed up, he literally
was like, you need to lead your nose.

I gave him, that's good stuff.

That's awesome.

Let me shout out some podcast sponsors.

We're here at Maximum Beverage.

Great people at Maximum Beverage.

They host our Whiskey Fest every year.

They're just wonderful people.

Direct Line
Media, Stefania and Dave, The fix IV,

Keating Agency, insurance Golf law group,
Luna Pizza

Bank at People's Parkville Management,
float 41, Sally and Bob's and the JCC.

You ever been to the JCC?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's really cool.

Have you bring the.

Have you ever brought your kids
to the JCC?

My kid?

Yeah. Okay. Well, here's a free week pass.

Maybe you do a little video at the J.

Get people over there. Christmas.

Not at the JCC. It's Christmas.

It's like.

Okay, there was a JCC in Miami

growing up, and I used to go to their
after school program, I love it.

No, I sauna and swim almost every day.
Yeah.

Shave there. It's great.

So making so many good connections.

A lot of podcast guests
come from their sponsors come from there.

I met another twin mom that worked there,
and her twins are like the same

age as me.

I can't remember
Hoffer is her last name. Yep.

She works the front desk.

Yes. Yep yep yep yep.

We talked. Twins.

We know twins.

You know anybody else with twins?

I don't
I know them because I'm a twin parent.

It's it's it's a rule.

We all share mutual trauma.

Yes. Did you ever do the thing?

The pillow.

I had this little, like, horseshoe pillow
with a hook in it with the baby bottle.

Oh, and you could bottle it was.

Or, like, lean the bottle or. No.

Was it for feeding?

I don't know, we used it for them,
like laying on it a lot.

But when they were holding it
up by themselves,

I think we used it for feeding.

But it was like the the twins, the pillow.

And it was like looked like a.

Oh yeah, both in there.

We used that for a long time, I remember.

Do you have any stories
like horror stories or.

Let me share one. Yeah.

Not my proudest moment.

Walking with my babies, singing, talking,
pointing out things, being a great dad.

Looking at my baby.
Telling her I love her.

Smacked one baby on the door frame.

Oh, Michael, my husband
did that a little bit. Just a little dink.

And I went, oh, and I went, Bink!

Oh you stink. So I'm bing bing.

I went from one crying baby to the next
and I was just like, I'm terrible.

That's my horror story, twin.

I don't think I ever

banged.

Knock some sense into him.

And I think one night
I was on feeding, woke

up a kid, Fetter,
put her down, made a bottle,

grabbed the kid, grabbed the same kid, fit
the same kid twice.

One kid in the one kid eight.

Twice. We're still girls. Identical.

Yeah. Okay. Well, that's fair, right?

I mean, not least, like, is boy girl

messed up like one has a wiener?

Yep. I gave

recently
my boy twin the world's worst haircut.

Oh, nice.

But I have a six year old,
so I just blame her.

So it's actually not terrible for me.

Did you try to give him a fade?
What? You try?

I just tried to do anything.

Keeping someone.
You cut his hair, you're hurting him.

So he's like, oh, so he's going like this.

So I'm just trying
to get it out of his eyes.

And it's like, horrendous to get him
while he's sleeping.

Yeah, that's I mean that's not a bad idea.

The buzzing would wake him up

oh I did I forgot one more sponsor
West Hartford Lock.

So with West Hartford Lock

what are three keys
that make you a great content creator.

See what I did there?

Authenticity. Yep.

Consistency.

Posting.

Yeah. How many times a day?

I honestly at least once,
but usually closer to 3 or 4.

Okay. How many did you post today?

Today I have posted three
okay so far and you'll post more.

So yep. Go ahead.

And then my third key would be

Humor

because life is hard
and I try to make people smile.

So I had Inside Source
that someone was going to say,

be authentic.

Don't be afraid to make a mistake
or be vulnerable.

Absolutely. Big Mike told me that. Yeah.

So he was that

that was his guess if he I was like,
what is she going to say for three keys?

But he autism authenticity.

Consistency.

Humor I love it.

Networks
humor pretty much works for every job.

If you're not doing it for the person,
that's the audience, do it for yourself.

Listen, I'll be the personality
higher any day I'm gonna make.

If I didn't make someone smile,
I feel like I've had a good day.

Agreed.

That's.

That's our motto.

Being a good friend.

Be good friend.

Be a good friend. Oh, we have those now.

Michael took some
and we have a magnet and we've stickers.

Let's go.

So that's our motto.

Be a good friend.

Hold the door.

Give compliments, be charitable.

Speaking of,
I know Michael's your husband,

but what makes Michael
a good friend who changes diapers?

Oh, no.

But Michael is,

is somebody who.

He might not seem like it at first,
but he cares really deeply

about the people in his circle,
and he'll do anything for them.

Like anything at all. Nice.

Confirm or deny he's
part of Bill's mafia.

Oh, way. Confirmed.

My, he is the world's most crazy.

Bill's from attic

to a point that I usually leave the house
for games.

Nice.

Working to connect a Friends of Feeny

reach reheated coffee club bus
trip to a bills game.

You in on that collab?

Yeah,
there's gonna be many a broken tables.

We have to break tables.

That's a rule.
I have been to a bills game.

I've been to bills tailgates.
I've been to multiple.

Did you see the guy
squirt ketchup and mustard on himself?

I've seen everything that's doing things
that I don't want to see.

Crazy tailgates confirm or deny you out.

We will.

She remain nameless.

The publicist is leaving.

Episode 130 is being here.

Episode 130

for the first time. Where?

Oh, that was how I died.

After the party I have been.

I know when I heard that
after the launch party, I was like, oh,

oh, I think nothing good happens there.

No, no.

However, shout out to episode
two with Kathleen Roche

and actually Ali because I was like,
I want another drink.

And they were like,
okay, honey. And they give me water.

And I'm like, I'm not drinking this
because I was on one.

And they were like, you're right.

So they put lime juice in water
and then dip the straw and tequila

and gave it to me.

And I was like, hey, this is so good.

Put a flower in it. Umbrella.

You're like, yeah, now I'm cool.

Oh, that's so funny.

I didn't

they hadn't been.

Oh listen I oh disclaimer so I get home
I had a blast.

I already mentioned that the games are on
so luckily the game started at ten.

So the games are on at 12.

Finally it's 12:00
and I'm like I can't go to bed.

Like like what's going on? Yes,

maybe two, maybe two and a half,
but get the heart palpitations.

I was like, I stayed up till two
in the morning thinking happy thoughts.

I was playing
catcher in the Rye on audio book.

Nothing was working
and I was just like my.

I was like, oh God, but they were so good.

Yeah, you know why they were good?

You know what they made with double?

Double tequila?

Yes, yes.

Tequila. Yes.

Wow. So expressive.

Martinis, karaoke.

Great. The blast, a blast, a blast. Yeah.

Just be happy to end of the game.

I know I was like, oh, it's a

it's a it's a fun place.

Who was the bartender.

Yeah.

Yes, there was one.

Oh. Confirm or deny.

Speaking of bartenders,
did you meet someone by writing

your name and number on a receipt?

The second time in my life I ever did it.

I did it once in college, and

nothing really came of.

It wasn't a good match.

And I did it
once when I was moving from Miami

to Colorado
and I stopped in Saint Augustine, Florida.

I sat at my now husband's bar.

We had some banter.

I love a good witty banter if you can like
take my spouse to a plus for you.

And he was a ginger.

I was obsessed with Ron Weasley.

So I left my number
and he texted me that night

and he was like, when can I take you out?
I'm like, I'm leaving tomorrow.

And then we just kept in touch
and then I ended up moving back

and the rest is history.

That's so cool. He's.

And this is another going back
to my only long relationship

I've ever had GS
because I'm like somebody who just.

If I'm done with something, I want to move
to the city and want to do another job.

I want to travel, I want to do this.

And he never tried to tame
that side of me.

He if I have a new business idea,
if I have a new adventure

and how we make them happen a lot, right?

Or die.

He's a keeper.

Yeah, he seemed cool.

I love I just met him that night.

Bill's core. Core.

I think he's Wednesdays and Fridays,
Wednesday, Friday, Saturday nights.

Yeah. I'm
going to go check him out at the new spot.

I've never been

I've been to the OG core core,
but I'm going to I might banter with him

a little bit and write
my name on the receipt too.

Is that cool? Right. His name?

Yeah.

There you go, Michael.

Oh very cool.

So, some shout outs.

Oh, maybe you could do me some solids.

I got a couple people.
Maybe I want to shout out.

Maybe you could help them out, do a video.

What do you think students might have?

Parents. My students, dads on this place.

It's in Cromwell.

It's at Woody's Ice cream.

Here's some coupon specials at Cromwell.

They're going to do
a Friends of Feeney night.

Some coupons for Woody's show.

Shout out Andrew and Ken right here.

Woody's.

I like where float 41 is to float.

Have you
have you done a float video yet? Yes.

You have.

Yeah. Yeah, I haven't seen it.

It was a while ago.

Yeah. December. Okay.

I went for my birthday. Actually.
I did the whole experience.

The flow, the fire and ice
was my first time doing a cold plunge.

Have you ever done
that? Oh, I love it, I go there.

Yes, I love it, love it.

Torture.

Speaking of torture,
I did for the first time today too.

How you feeling?

I feel great on the
the recliner or whatever it's called.

Where'd you go?

Crazy machine at over by.

Okay. Yeah.

My daughter goes every day
and my wife goes to a reformer.

Did you.

Are you on point 1 or 0.15?

It was the first class.

Yeah, I was on, like,
whatever is the easiest.

Yeah. Nice feeling good though.

Yeah. We'll see tomorrow.
But I'm at my fitness journey.

I'm gonna be 35 this year.

So I'm officially my mid 30s and
I want to be in the best shape of my life.

Yeah, I'm just skyrocketing.

I want to feel the best that I can in my
own body, mentally and physically healthy.

I love that, yeah,
that's why I go to the J.

I swim sauna and I sometimes

there's no cold plunge,
but I take a cold shower.

I start every morning with a cold shower.

You should start that
if you're really a masochist.

So you shower, you take a step back,
you turn it and it's cold as possible,

and you just go in and

breathe.

Do it. Try it. Let me know.

I'm not two year old twins.

It's like sacred time in the shower.

That's when, like, no one can bother me
and I just let the hot water

wash away my sins.

But like you come out
your day, you start cold.

So you warm up as the day goes on.

So your day gets better. Okay.

And there's a
there's a trigger in your brain.

It's better than caffeine.

It's better than, you know, it's good.

It's really good.

They say it's better than cocaine,
but I don't know.

Sex, cocaine, caffeine, cold shower.

Point being.

Yeah, unfiltered and back to float.

I'm honored.

And and I'm proud to announce
that Sarah from float

is our veteran honoree
for the Memorial Day parade.

So Sierra LaTonya Latino Sierra

Latino will be our honoree as our float.

Our name will be on our t shirt.

She served 17 years in the Air Force
National Guard.

She's an amazing human. She's
so thoughtful.

She donates gift cards and sponsors.

So shout out to Sierra and Float 41.

Yeah, I've had a couple conversations
with the.

She's an incredible person. Yeah.

Friends afloat I do the sauna cold plunge
and then the floating.

Can you turn off
I don't see yeah, yeah. Wow.

Surprisingly that is that.

And Reiki I think are the only things
that shut my brain off. Wow.

Someone know someone got me my my friends.

She's a future podcast guest.

Brittany Coogan, about to have a baby.

I'm about to be an uncle.
It was my best friend.

My sister in law, sister, whatever.

But she goes, Feeny. She went.

She just went like this. I'm like,
oh, Ricky's corny.

It's stupid. She held her.

She's like,
you got a lot of stuff backed up.

You got a lot of trauma you throw.

Yeah. What's that mean?

She shut me right up.

It's your communication.

So it's like you're trying to communicate
something

that's not coming out
or you're being repressed.

Somehow it's blue.

And your throat chakra.

I was like, oh, she was like, okay.

Then she shot me like, oh, it's real.
I believe you.

Because she knew,

right? Okay, good.

Yeah. Caleb McBee does Reiki.

No, I don't know if she practices it, but
she has it at her balance on the studio.

I go to a woman named Anna Davis.

You'll also be on the podcast,
and you should get it done on the podcast.

What? Did you be quiet.

What does someone listening to the podcast
and not watching it?

Oh, okay. It's not talking.

She just kind of pulls from you.

Yeah.

You don't answer questions? No.

So she does all the talking.

The person you just
you feel the energy. Yeah.

So okay.

She is kind of like a vessel
to get any pent up

energy out in certain areas
because, like, through the day, we harbor

stress.

And maybe we're not having a conversation
that needs to be had.

Or maybe we're going through a hard time
and our hearts and whatever.

And she literally I don't I don't really
understand it because I'm not.

How many times
have you done it? Twice. Wow.

And I was I was such a skeptic.

I'm like a science first kind of person.

I'm not traditionally religious.

I'm not very like, I just need to see
something and feel it to believe it.

I'm just that kind of person.

And so I went in with an open mind.

It was a paid collaboration.

So I was like a sure,
I'll try this. I'm getting paid on that.

I am going to have an honest reaction
with my audience.

And after the first time
I was like, undeniably real.

I had a very reaction.

The second time was even crazier.

Jeez, I will go back
probably once a month.

That's awesome. I got to try it.

I definitely recommend it.

All right.

And then you mentioned being paid.
So how does that work?

Can you talk pay with your partnerships
and how does that work?

To every post you put out
you're paid for or no.

And are some different than others?

They're all negotiable.

Yeah.

I mean, I think everything's negotiable

with business,
but a lot of things go into it.

How long it's going to take me to film it,

how long have the drive,
how much it's really taking of me.

But influencer marketing is so much more.

It's so much better
for business than paying for, like, ads.

Oh, yeah, you're paying
not only for someone's audience

that they already have,

but any good content creator should have
a media kit which shows the metrics.

So while I maybe

have like 50,000 on Instagram,
I am getting 7 million hits a month.

So that means that your business
is getting millions of hits.

Yeah, even if it's not clocking
and it's just do you show that data?

You're like, hey, we got this much.

I said, she made me this badass portfolio
with a rate card.

One thing that I really like to do

is work with nonprofits, but I'm somebody
who would just give the house away.

So she did a smart thing where I take on
like two free Roberts a month for that.

I just really want to work with.
I really believe in it.

But she also has a special rate
for nonprofits to where it's a lot

less than what a traditional business
would have,

because at the end of the day,
I am also a small business.

But this is my full time job,
this is my full time career, and

but we still want to wait.

A not everybody was paid.

Sometimes I just end up going somewhere
doing something.

And who's your favorite nonprofit and why?

Is it friends of Feeny, you know?

Little organization.

I happened to be on a blog ask book.

No. There's so many good ones.

I do a lot of work with the food chair.

Okay, big fans.

Jason,

my guy.

You're going to have him on?

Yeah, I know you got shot of that.

You shouted that out you and Anthony
Anthony were talking about.

Yeah Connecticut food share.

Great organization.

No I just had my first not viral moment,

but I did a Luis Lunch podcast
and I flipped the burgers with Luis lunch.

And I put him in the 1895
vertical iron cast broiler.

Right. And I say Saturday for Luis lunch.

And the guy Luis
lunch says Saturdays are for friends.

It got 185,000 views.

Oh yeah, I've never had that.

And then some of the comments were like,
look at this guy.

First time holding a spatula.

Does this guy know how to cook?

Where's the seasoning that spatulas
contaminated that burgers.

Gross. You get so many.

Like how do you deal with that?
Sometimes there's some heat.

Like you put yourself out there.

It's not going to be all positive.

No, in fact, like,
some of my stuff is political.

So I get a lot of
really aggressive messages.

It was

rough at first because a lot of
it was about my appearance to.

But then you kind of

just realize that it says
a lot more about them than it does of you.

And think about it like, in this case,

like you as a good human would never write

something nasty on someone's page,
even if you didn't believe in it, right?

No, nor would I.

So I think about what the frame of mind,
if that person probably is, and I'm like,

why do I care?

Yeah, like you're probably such a deeply
unhappy, repressed incel.

Yeah.

I like to troll them back sometimes.

I had a girl right on one of my videos
that was like an interview with me,

and it was like saying support local
while doing anything, but isn't cute.

Florida
girls will do anything for attention.

And so I wrote back.

Happy confection is one of my podcast
boxers, their cannabis gummies.

And so I wrote back, being like,
sounds like somebody needs an attack.

The happy confection,
make it into a Truman Show commercial.

Yeah, sounds like you need.

Yeah.

Cookies by Iced Anna, right?

Or like somebody when they were talking
about my parents, was like, cute girl.

If you covered up her, like,
pregnancy belly or like something

and her big schnoz.

And I was like, all I heard was cute,
I like it.

Yeah.

We get quick to show that you don't care.

That same thing
with teasing on the playground.

As long as you show that person
that you don't care, don't stop.

Once you give in, don't
give the candle oxygen.

Yeah, absolutely.

And I will say that
my page is like 95% positivity.

And if anyone is ever, like, really

outwardly aggressive and doesn't stop,
I just walk them.

Okay. And how many followers do you have

and are you also on TikTok?

Yeah.

So I think in total between online
platforms, like maybe somewhere

like 100,000.

Now, how do you get paid on TikTok?

Because I got that same post,
got 194,000 on TikTok.

And I was like, when do I get paid?

Are you in the creator rewards program?

Probably not.

How do I followers do you have not enough?

But this Louise lunch flowers went
through the roof, so that's fantastic.

Yeah.

So once you get over,
I want to say over 10,000

followers,
you can join the Creator rewards program.

Okay.

And then you can get paid per view.

But that is very little
where big money is, is YouTube.

YouTube,
YouTube pays their creators very well.

I'm not in that program yet because
you have to have a thousand subscribers.

And I just started the podcast,
so I think I'm only like 179.

So follow me on YouTube. Yes,
follow me too.

I'm I'm like, I'm on for ten. Yes.

We got to get up there. Yeah.

YouTube pays for big bucks. Really?

Okay, okay. Get to 1000.

So you're getting paid for posting, man.

That's crazy.

I mean, I'm teaching third grade,
and you're posting.

Yeah, but you're teaching the future
creators of America.

I did get that this year.

Speaking of which, 22 years teaching.

It used to be president,

astronaut.

This year podcaster, influencer

billionaire were the jobs. Wow.

So there's three new jobs.

I signed me up for that building. Right.

Very cool.

She said she wants to be an athlete,

a TikToker and a ballerina.

Hey, the world is the world.

You can do whatever you want, kid.

That's another thing.

I don't make lawyers or
I never had a chance to become a lawyer.

But I can create lawyers,
create podcasters.

I always thought I'd be a good lawyer.

Just because I like to argue
and I like to be right.

I like, stick it to the man.

Yeah.

You ever talk with Brooke Goff?
I think that

she agreed to be on the podcast
and then kind of goes to me.

So I gotta get back.

Okay. Yeah, yeah.

I see you guys hitting it off.

She's a good friend.

I watch her podcast, okay.

She gets a lot of reality starts,
which I love.

Yeah. She had Ric Flair on The Wrestler.

That's nuts. That was nuts.

One more thing.

Parsley.

You like middle middle middle eastern.

Yeah. Middle
eastern cuisine is my former student.

Middletown. Really good stuff.

I want to shout out my guy
personally on Middletown.

Oh, you wild bills.

It was kind of like a weird kitschy

back in the, you know, the 2000.

It's like a not an amusement park, but
it was like a collector's, like a really?

No. Well, it's derelict now.

It's really creepy.

So it's like,
all broken down, like carnival.

You got to go to Holy Land in Waterbury.

That is. That's my next stop.

Yeah, yeah, I want to go.

Come on. Let me know. I'll go.

What a bear. Eat.

Oh, do you remember where we met

first time? Yeah, yeah.

For what? Gutenberg? Yes. Yeah.

How was your.

Did you say I loved it? Yeah.
It was so much fun.

Whatever the playhouse asks, I'll do.

That was such a funny play.

Yeah. Oh, it was so good.
The music was amazing.

The actors were amazing, I was interested.

Yeah, it was so good, I was invested,
it was so good and edgy.

Like, I know they had a dead baby joke,
I don't know.

Oh, yeah. You were like, oh, way awkward.

We were probably the youngest people
in the audience.

Oh, yeah.

Get around to see if, like, these old
ladies were, like, clutching their pearls

and they're like, oh,
it seemed like a cool crowd.

Sorry for it. Yeah, yeah.

I eat them, too.

I loved it, so.

Yeah. Shout out to the playhouse on Park
Tracy.

Amazing friends over there.

There were some Playhouse
Park people at the launch party.

Yeah. She came up to me and she's like,
hey, yeah.

I'm like,
you're one of the main reasons I'm here.

Because you were late to sign in

and we were sitting face to face like,
hey, hi, I'm Eric, I'm Ellie.

Yeah. You're like, hey, I know you,
you know you.

That was so cool.

Network with somebody
who works with friends at mini

at In After Hours
West Hartford chamber event.

And I got his information
because I wanted to do like a feature.

So I had known of, you know, you cool.

Let's do it.

Well, speaking of, let's just get a
let's get a selfie for the for the Graham.

I'm sure Ali has lots of content.

And then we'll add it on and then boom.

Oh now what's your love language.

What's your love language. Gifts.

What was that again. Yes. Yeah.

Gifts
like gifts like get gifts like gifts.

Oh very good. All right.

It's not like I.

It's not like a coach,
a brick and bag or whatever.

Like I'm a thrift or.
I don't even know, like big brand names.

But it's like when you when, like,
you could tell me something today

and ten years from now,
if I find something

that reminded me of that conversation
because I, like, put it in these files

and I'll think of you and I'll get it
and I'll mail it to you,

even if we don't live in the same place.

It's just about like caring enough
about someone's

likes and interests that you like.

File it away for a long term memory
and it might

manifest as a gift,
might manifest as a letter.

It might manifest as,
yeah, that's very cool.

I'm totally on board with you
because I was just at Quinnipiac.

My daughter was looking for a missions
day, and there's a squeezy duck

Quinnipiac shirt, cop hat,
and I grabbed like two of them.

I was like, what are you doing?

I go, this is for my buddy stats.

He went to Quinnipiac and he's a cop.

She goes, you haven't spoken to that dude
in ten years.

Well, next time I see him, you give love.

I do.

I do love languages.

Yeah, because it's interesting.

There's the love language
that you give to people,

and then there's the love language
of how you receive love.

So I don't necessarily receive love
by getting the gifts or things like that.

Yeah, but I like giving, right.

Doesn't it. Makes me feel good.

Better than receiving.
So I got some gifts.

Are you ready?

Okay. Let's see. What do we got here?

That one's not for you.
This one's for you.

So this is a well. Yeah.
And then I got a bone to pick.

This is our parade shirt.

Hell, yeah. So we did the,

Saint Patrick's

Day parade, which I invited you
and the kids that ride the float.

I was. It was the New Haven. No,
it was Harford.

Yeah. So I went to the parade.

I saw you,
but I. You weren't on our float.

But go ahead. I was just
I know, I'm kidding.

Go ahead.

But we had this.

You know where this is stolen from?

Was that look like Lucky Charms?

Lucky charms?

We're hoping.

We're hoping.
Sue us. Nabisco or Kellogg's.

But we had the kids color it,
so we have fabric markers.

This is a medium for you. Okay, perfect.

I put it on right now.

Of course. And then this is a

this is a our smallest kids.

Maybe your kid could sleep in that.

Yeah.

Kids large have your kid color it.

Awesome.

So that's for you. Gifts for for the fam.

She's throwing it out now.

Shout out some sponsors on the back.

Let's see what we got here.

We got Culp, Ryan. Soft wash.

You should have him wash your roof
and give him a shout out to Bergen

financial grade. Dude, his musical talent.

Man, you look great.
You never look better. Look at this.

Got a color that was hard for lock.

Good people.

Jake Keating,
Ryan Keating, you're interact with him?

Yeah, he was episode 23.

I always joke he's

the Michael Jordan of insurance
because Michael Jordan was number 23.

That's for your kid.

Oh, but the gifts don't stop. Then what?

Are you ready? I'm spoiled. Yes.

What do we got here?

Oh, yeah.

Espanol? Poquito. Yeah.

I heard my
my dad's from Bolivia, and I grew up

speaking Spanish, but then I lost it.

All right, but I love mescal.

Is this killing me on in my fitness era?

We did Pilates today. That's true.

Wet your lips.

We got a game.
We're gonna wet your lips. Yeah.

All right, all right, all right.

Oh, did I we still got gifts. Hold
on. How are we going to.

How are we going to drink this?

How are we going to drink that?

That's for you.

That's awesome.

All right. We're going to play long hair.

I cut it all off.

Oh, is it okay?

I had it, like, down to here.

All right,
we're gonna play tequila or water.

Are you ready? This is.

Oh, you want to open it?
It's really cool. Bottle.

Yeah. It is. I've never opened it before.

This wax and a cork.

He said he could just pluck right off.

Oh, there we go.

All right.

So have you ever had. Yes.

Not this kind, though. All right.

Let me have your water here.

You got to drink both of these.

And then we got a guess which one it is.

Is this.

Are you guessing? Yeah.

So I have to keep a straight face.

Just gotta take it to the head.

Which one do you want first?

Or just take a sip?

You don't have to take it
to the head, but.

All right.

Is this water or tequila?

New game just invented today.

Damn, that was really good tequila.

I'm going to give it a second.

I'm going. Water.

Okay, let's see this one.

Also, tequila can be mezcal,
but mezcal can't be tequila or something.

Okay, ready?

Geez, that was smooth.

You've done
this before. You played this game before.

I'm going.

First one.

Tequila. Second one.

You are correct. But. But you're.

If I didn't
if you didn't go water first or second.

If we just let that go.

Guess that was really good.

Okay. I'm impressed.

Before you answer, you should comment
and say which one you thought it was.

I was going to play a game trivia.

If you get it right I'll drink.

If you get it wrong, you drink. Okay.

Just a little taste.

Or do you want me to play?

I could well, wait. Wow.

Okay,

so here
we'll just do a little sippy sippy.

Okay,
so if I get it here, let's do a cheers to

tequila.

Cheers.

This is great.

Congrats and best of luck
with your podcast endeavors

and hopefully future shout outs
and collaborations.

Thank you for being a good friend.

Ellie Doyle in the Building episode 167.

I'm not taking that down.

The domain.

Oh no, no way I would have faked

that you were smooth
because it's the smoke that gets me.

Yeah, you know what's really good with
mezcal is an orange slice.

It brings out, like,
the notes. It's really nice.

Okay, okay.

Yeah. The smoke like tequila can do.

All right, so trivia,

you get it?

These are just random.

These are just random.

If you get it right. Okay.

Who plays the guitar in Billie Jean?

Michael? Michael Jackson's Billie jean.

It's like a famous dude from another. Oh.

All right, we'll skip that one. It's
Eddie Van Halen.

Do you know who that is? Do you?

Can you name a Van Halen song?

I'll drink.

Okay.

Who wrote I Will Always Love You,
but the Whitney Houston version.

Someone wrote that Dolly Parton. Yeah. Oh.

Okay.

Who sings holiday?

Holiday?

Madonna. Drink? Yes.

Why do I think that was a good one?

That was a good one.

What created Google Images?

There's a famous

actress. Her.

She created Google Images.

I don't know, Ward show

Kim Kardashian before her.

Same same kind of.

She was the OG Kim Kardashian.

She was on in living color.

She. Oh, she's in a movie.

She's an actress. Singer.

She's from the Bronx.

Oh, J.Lo.

J.Lo cheers on that one.

That was heavily helped.

The first state.

In the United States was

Connecticut.

Unfortunately, it is not.

It's Delaware. Sorry.

I know where the Constitution states.

That's probably means
we're the first, right?

I guessed Pennsylvania.

That's where they signed
the Declaration of Independence.

So I was wrong.

All right.

First female astronaut.

Maya Rudolph.

I think she's on Saturday Night Live.

Just throwing it out there.

May Jameson, first African American women.

This is Sally ride.

We'll cheers to that, too.

Oh, this is a good one.

What movie?

You had me at.

Hello.

Good looking dude, I.

Jerry Maguire. Yes.

Cheers, cheers.

I am going to need my water back.

Definitely.

Don't don't don't do anything
you don't want to do.

You know I never do.

Who is the villain in Peter Pan?

I mean, that is up for interpretation,
I would say.

Oh, okay.

I would say hook,
but one could also say Wendy. Wow.

Geez. Go on.

Elaborate, please.

I mean, these are lost boys.

They thought of you as a mother figure,
and you fucking did.

You got their hopes up.

You preach. Said I'm gonna.

I'm gonna be mama.

And then you said
you got attached to me now.

And I'm gonna let you go
be some foster kids again.

Geez. Wow. This party, this.

I'm sad now.

We were having such a good time.

All right, we'll pass on that one.

That answer just.

That has to be correct.

It's like you defended it so well.

You should have been a lawyer.

I'm saying I know what's Bruce Willis
first TV show.

Yeah. You're you're not that on.

It's like moon.

Moon? No.

Miami moonlighting. That's what I said.

Moon. Right.

That's a good one.
Oh. Do you have an iPhone?

Yeah. When was the first?
When the iPhone come out.

Oh, I could probably tell you this
because I wasn't allowed to get one.

Yeah. Come on.

Okay, so we're thinking.

2006.

Oh, I'll give you that.

What was that? So close.

Don't give it to me.

Those clothes.

What was it? 2007.

What was your thought process?

I was in high school, okay,

I think.

Yeah, but I wasn't.

I didn't get it.

I always had, like, the cheap flip phones.

Jeez, I was just thinking
of, like, my envy at the time.

Nice, nice.

That concludes trivia and tequila.

Thank you.

Thanks for being such a.

Oh, if we scored.

Whoa.

You you got to repeat the third grade.

Sorry.

No grade.

Third grader.

I don't think I would be honest.

All right,
let's do a quick little lightning round

and do some recommendations,
and then we'll wrap it up.

All right.

Oh, would you rather donate your liver
or your kidney?

Oh. Did you. I did, yeah.

Where did it go? To my sister.

I know your publicist told me.
Okay, okay.

That's amazing.

That's being a good friend.
That's being a good sister.

Yeah. I would also donate a liver because.

Fun fact, you do not need to be dead
to donate your liver.

You can.

Your liver will regenerate.

So you can donate part of it
and save someone who needs a new liver.

And yours will completely go back.

Does she have a liver? Versuri.

Do you guys celebrate that kidney versus.
I'm sorry.

We used to go out to dinner.
Yeah. When is it?

You know, August. Something nice.

You older or younger?

I'm younger. I'm the youngest of five.

I'm like the youngest boy.

I was, like, the best mistake
they ever had, I think.

How many years younger? Ten.

And then your parents
were at the launch party.

That was so cool to see them. Yeah, yeah.

My sister, the
the one that you donated deliver to.

She owes you.

She needs to come to all your stuff.

Your biggest, we call the liver Penelope.

And I think I made

her a little bit cooler
when she got a piece of you.

Now she's finally cool.

Yeah.

Then if Spanish

or English, because I heard
you speak a little Spanish, I.

You know what's funny is that, like,
my Spanish is okay, right?

It's like broken Spanish.

But when I go to foreign countries,
I like to practice it.

But because I have a very good accent,
they start rapid fire talking.

Oh, yeah.

And then I just get a blank face on, like.

So. I don't know if I'm being

a good accent is beneficial,
but now is that from your time in Florida?

My. Well, I used to

we used to go to Bolivia quite a bit,
but yeah, growing up in Miami was.

Oh yeah. What is your background?

Bolivian. Really?

Yeah.

So we used to, benefit of Brazil.

I'm not Bolivian orphanage.

And so I grew up in a very musical family,
and we had a recording studio

in our house that they made,
and we used to record a CD every year.

The band was Arielle, which was my name,
and then all the proceeds

would go to fund this Bolivia orphanage.

And then we would go visit the orphanage
and, you know, between clothes,

bring them to bring them.

I used my mom was a teacher.
She used to do drives for the orphanage.

And then we used to see
where the money was going.

And. Nice. That's very nice.

You've been a good friend for a long time.
That's right.

I was raised right here.

That's important.

And parents, as educators,
I think you have it.

The kids have an advantage.

Like child management, just setting goals,
self-confidence, all that good stuff.

I speak to that
because I'm a parent and a teacher.

All right. Coffee or tea?

Yeah.

Where's your coffee spot?

I work a lot from Hartford.

Baking coats
because they have a great upstairs.

Yeah. So I work in
I have an in home office.

Right by Farmington. Right by Disney. Yep.

Oh, nice.

Yeah, but probably my favorite
coffee in town is Bruno's Cafe.

They just opened up a second location.

Bruno's. Bruno's. Where's that?

So one in Unionville,
and then one just opened.

A place to start to s

I'll have to fact check it,
but nicest couple named after their dog.

But they're all about gut healthy food,
so they use like farms.

They use, like, a lot of local
ingredients, but their coffees are insane.

All right, they have to check that out.

Get the scarecrow latte.

It tastes like kettle corn.

I guess we take very cool

book or podcast.

Nice early bird or night owl?

Night owl.

Unfortunately, my twins
allow for that lifestyle much anymore.

But yeah, I get my best ideas at 3 a.m.

and then you're always, what do you.

I always feel better after eating.

God, my mind is so dirty.

Tacos. Tacos?

Yeah, that was the Anthony. Anthony.

He said pizza or tacos?

Poor guys. Anthony. Anthony.

Yeah, the pizza man.

I know he really started that.

The sign
that people. Yeah. Pizza capital. Yeah.

And we learned on the my podcast that he
did not even ask for permission to do it.

He just did it.

Just put it up on the highway.

I love that guy. Great dude. Great dude.

I like people, especially in marketing

or anyone that has a social presence
that isn't afraid to, like, go for it.

Yeah, because it's so easy to be like,
polished

and say the right things and have it,
you know,

that's why I'm interested
in talking to politicians to because I'm

if they're like, oh, I'll be like,
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, give it to me.

Yeah, I like it.

And I like people
who aren't afraid to go there.

All right. Cool. A couple things quickly.

Any upcoming events
that you want to shout out?

We have the Walk against hunger
for the future. Yep.

Is that yard go stadium?

Is that Duncan Park? Okay.

What's
your involvement with the Yard Goats, too?

Because you were at the kickoff.

Your Connor
Gary is going to be on my podcast as well.

Nice. What season?

This season. He's season one.

Come and I'm season two.

I'm kidding.

I'm teasing.

It was honestly really incredible
and very humbling.

How many people want us to be involved?

Yeah.

There is talks of
maybe there being some kind of like show,

like a variety show for Connecticut
where we need a lot more guests on nice.

So we have to have another.

No kind of gears. The man game day.

Connor.

Yeah, he visited my classroom
three years in a row.

Good friend cares about the community.

They donated,

like,
first pitch for one of my fundraisers.

They're just good people.

Yeah. Are you going
Thursday, opening day?

Is that this first day?
Yeah, I have to check.

I mean, I if I can, I would love to.

I don't know what I have Thursday.

I was supposed to be on Oprah again,

but then they told me
that I don't need to be there.

Oprah. Fini. Oprah.

I was on Oprah a few weeks ago.
I know, it was amazing.

We'll share that picture.

Come on, let's get Ellie and Oprah.

Boom. Right here.

Oprah. Very nice.

She said my skirt was skirting. Skirting?

Oh, that's so cool.

Oprah.

Someday.

No, I knew someone who worked for Oprah.

And then take the call. Right.

Is that the call?
I almost ignored the call. I thought.

I thought Harpo was an appliance repair
company.

It's her name backwards.

Name backwards, apparently I learned.

Any other upcoming events?

Not so much for me quite yet.

I do really love.

As we talked about
before the podcast started, I.

My background is an event planning.

I used to work with the South Beach
Wine and Food Festival.

I was a wedding planner.

I do really love planning events
and I love kind of integrating that.

So there might be some reheated
coffee club events.

Nice.

Coming up, I did have a meeting with

a New Haven
like Arts Council kind of community,

and they're really interested in bringing,
like, influencers in to talk

about what they do to pair with artists
in the community of New Haven.

So I might be helping plan that.

But as far as my events

go, so have to follow the page
and see what's coming up.

Yep, that's Reheated
Coffee Club in Connecticut, unfiltered.

If you don't know, it's on the cookie.

Oh, speaking of which,

we have the Memorial Day parade,
which we are honoring.

Sarah.

Yep. Monday, May 25th.

Would reheated Coffee
Club like to be a sponsor?

Yes. Donate to the to the cause
and be a good friend.

We would love that.
And you please bring the kids in March.

Sarah will be there and hurl family
pizza party at Luna Pizza after.

Amazing.

You're in.

Connect with that, I will.

Yeah. Pounce pounce pounce.

We pounced it people.

She's a sponsoring.

She'll be there.

We'll send a check. Perfect, perfect.

Any recommendations for podcast food?

Yeah. What are your.

Let's see.

Well. Wild bills.

You don't need to go there
because it is closed down now.

I like to kind of creepy. Arugula.

Oh, arugula.

That is something
that's going on for April.

So I am doing a raiser for Blood Cancer
United.

Yeah.

With every espresso martini
you get at a regular time out.

Let's go, let's go.

Right now, they donate 20% to fund blood
cancer research.

So I'll be making a video about that.

I'm a big fan of arugula.
Their food is absolutely incredible.

Chris will also be on my podcast.

The owner and chef. She's from Egypt.

She's just such a cool person
and such a great story.

And I've never tried something there

that wasn't like a ten out of ten,
like mind blowing, you know?

Good stuff.

So good, so good.
That's where I met Sherry Kanter.

We went to dinner there
for the first time.

Oh nice. So I shop into Suwanee.

So we go to arugula back and forth I'll
shop eat sit at the bar buy something.

So so that will be going on
for the month of April.

Nice arugula.

Good spot about something.
As a teacher, please.

I need a good prank for tomorrow
for my daughter, a six year old.

Make her brownies.

Know their

construct, their ease that are brown.

And you put them
and you get the whole tin.

You get the tin foil here.

Some brownies and they open it.

They're the letters
E's capitals in lowercase.

Or you get, hey, kid, you earned an iPad.

And if you go to CBS and get an iPad,

those are my two go to's.

Or I give a test
or I give a find a word, okay,

that the words are never impossibly found
like they're one letter off.

They're like,
this is the hardest one ever.

And then I do one.

The directions say,
do not answer one question on this test.

Just put your name on it and hand it in.

And I give like addition problem.

So the kids take it
and they're like this is addition.

They just crush it and they hand it in
and they all get F's

because they didn't read the directions,
got to read the directions.

Then I say April Fools and then I
go, hey, you can April fools your parents,

I'll give you this f, get it signed
and then tell them it's a joke.

No, you're going to get some kids Aspie.

Oh yeah. Hopefully.

Kidding.

I did the the what's it

Brussels sprout in icing and oh cake pop.

And she took a big bite
and she was like broccoli.

Thanks.

Yeah that was good. Oh.

So some upcoming events for us.

We have Hartford Athletic July 11th.

We'd hope you join us.

Yard Goats August 14th,
our fifth annual golf tournament.

September 12th.

We're doing a fundraiser
at Lux Bonding Green for an auris watch.

They're like three GS.

You could buy a ticket for 25 bucks.

Tell time.

Oh, and then before we go, you mentioned
Max and Lily.

Yeah,
they are completely supportive of our.

Don't
we have a kitty and a bank down there?

We we donate clothes

and we send people in need that have,
like, a house fire or need clothes.

And they'll get
from the Friends of Henny account.

So shout out to Max and Lily.

I know you just shouted them out, but
before we go, I had to mention absolutely

good friends,
good friend, really close to my house.

I do some social media work for them
monthly and yeah, she's an amazing person.

I love what she's doing and 90% of my kids
wardrobe is from there.

Yeah, we haven't connected in a while

or sent families there,
but they've always been supportive.

So shout out to Sally and Bob's shout out

to Maximum Beverage, Direct Line Media,
Connecticut Unfiltered.

Go ahead and lock
like and follow and reheated coffee cup.

It was great talking with you.

Any closer remarks?

Be a good friend.

You heard it here first.

All right, on three.

We'll say it again. One. Two.

Three. Be a good friend.

Cheers.

friends.

A free day.

Hey!
