One Gospel Minute

Did you know that we must believe in order to be saved? Belief is crucial for salvation according to Hebrews 11:6, stating that without faith, it's impossible to please Him. To approach God, one must believe in His existence, promise, and teachings. Faith involves belief in God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Bible. Genuine faith is active, requiring obedience to Jesus' teachings as emphasized in James 2:24 and 2:26. Does your faith move you to submit to the will of Christ?

Malcolm Hill: We'll exchange it someday for a crown.

Here's a throwback for you. Did you know that we must believe in order to be saved? In Hebrews 11:6, the writer says, "For without faith it's impossible to please Him. For he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." But we must believe what? Well, we must believe in God.

We must believe in Christ as the Son of the living God. We must believe in the Holy Spirit. And we must believe what the Bible says (II Timothy 3:16-17). It is God's eternal truth. Now, the faith that saves is a working faith (Galatians 5:6). And the faith that saves is not faith only, James 2:24 and also James 2:26 teaches such is the case. Does your faith move you to submit to the will of Jesus? So I'll cherish the old rugged cross.
