Welcome to the AHRN Minute. My name is Jenny Nielsen, and today we're talking about surprising ways you can use your GI Bill.
The Post-9/11 GI Bill can help eligible service members, Veterans, and qualifying dependents pay for a wide range of approved education and training programs.
That can include trade schools for careers like HVAC, welding, electrical work, and commercial truck driving. You can also use your benefits for certain flight training, cybersecurity certifications, SCUBA courses, culinary classes, and other specialized programs.
And if you're enrolled full-time, you may also qualify for a monthly housing allowance to help with living expenses while you're in school.
The important thing is to check whether the program you're interested in is approved by the VA before enrolling.
So, whether you're working toward a degree, learning a trade, or picking up a new skill, explore your options and look for a program that fits your goals.
That's your AHRN Minute, and thanks for listening!
