Each week, WORDTheatre® shares a brilliant short story performed live in LA, NY or London by a great actor, usually with the author in the room to hear their story being brought to life. Hello and welcome to WORDTheatre Weekly: The Short Story
Podcast where great authors and actors meet! I’m your host, Cedering Fox,
WORDTheatre’s Founder & Artistic Director.
We are back with all-new episodes after a lovely little break, and we are kicking off our fifth year with this podcast with a story from our most recent Manhattan Author•Actor Series. It took place on January 15th, right before the extreme cold set in. Lisa Cupolo has a wonderful new book of short stories, and this one is called “You’re Here Now.” It was performed by the absolutely marvelous Kimmy Shields, who actually flew in from Los Angeles to participate.
Before we get started, please note that WORDTheatre holds the copyright to these recordings and no portion of anything you hear on WORDTheatre Weekly, our short story podcast, may be reproduced without permission.
Before we begin the performance, we have a special treat; an introduction from author Lisa Cupolo, who is a California based writer who was with us in New York. Please welcome Lisa Cupolo.
CUPOLO INTRODUCES THE PIECE.
And now, here is Kimmy Shields, stepping into Lisa Cupolo’s “You’re Here Now.”
