Speaker 3:We do we I mean, I'm I'm a little a little light. I'm a little happier, it seems like. Michigan State blew out East Carolina in basketball, so, obviously, that's something to look forward to. Mhmm. Shot the lights out at one point and won by 33, I believe, in September.

Speaker 4:you took my exact thought. I was about to say the only thing besides this weather that's keeping me down is the fact that it's feast week. Feast week, besides March Madness, is the absolute best week in college basketball.

Speaker 4:Neither am I. Like, these these teams should be going to, like, Maui, the Rainbow Classic.
Speaker 1:They're in Vegas, and, like, 20 people are watching them. Like,
Speaker 4:and they're like, these are sold out in amazing venues. And it's like, there's no one there. Like, go to Maui.
Speaker 2:Like Yeah. It's it's easy to sell 1,500 tickets. Like, go to
Speaker 4:the go to The Bahamas or, honestly, give credit to MSU. Fort Myers, I mean, obviously, not a lot of MSU fans are gonna be in Florida. Well looked like it. Wow. They looked like it with the venue.
Speaker 4:That's what I mean. Looked like it with the venue. It just those Feast Week feels better when it's these smaller tighter venues where there's more fans than just these big arenas that are just basically empty.
Speaker 2:Yeah. And I think though, you know, this is, like, the perfect time of the year to do it because, a, it's, you know, it's Thanksgiving, so people are traveling. But, b, this is when all the snowbirds are gone. All the snowbirds are in these warm areas. There is a reason that there is an MSU FCU in the Tampa area.
Speaker 4:Yeah. There is. I would I was there last my my my freshman year and went to Tampa for spring break, I saw one there. And I was a little

Speaker 2:Really? There's MSU FCUs and LMCUs all over all over all all over Florida. It's specifically for Snowbirds. Yeah. So, like, you know, if you want if you want those guys to be able to see a game, this is the perfect time.
Speaker 1:And that's why I don't like the players era because you're just putting it in Vegas and you're extremely tying sports betting to it because it's Vegas. Yeah. I don't know. I just not

Speaker 1:Completely agree. A huge fan of is Thanksgiving week in the NFL. Oh my gosh. Got a

Speaker 3:Some amazing games too. Yeah.
Speaker 1:Obviously, you have the lions, the packers, and they have the cowboys going to no. The chiefs going to Jerry's world to take on the cowboys, and then Joe Burrows return at night as the bangles head to Baltimore. I'll get all those games later in the pick them. But on the, you know, on the Thanksgiving discussion here, obviously, everyone's gonna have their meal. Everyone has their favorite things that they eat on Thanksgiving.
Speaker 1:It's what brings everyone together besides the family. It's the food that brings the family together. So we're gonna go through seven Thanksgiving meal, like, we have a main course. We have, you know, different things, some sides, a dessert, stuff like that. And we're going to give an NFL player for that certain part of the Thanksgiving meal.
Speaker 1:So, hopefully, you guys will be able to follow along. We'll start with this first one, kind of an easier one. We'll start with turkey. Gotta start with turkey. It's the main course.
Speaker 1:Everyone's go to. It's basically the reason the turkey is still around is because of Thanksgiving. So who would you say in the NFL is is like the turkey?
Speaker 2:Well, you said it before we turned the recording on. As much as I hate it, it's Patrick Mahomes. I mean, it's and, like, if you if you have to think of the NFL at, like, the league as a as a dinner, he is the main course. He is what sells, you know, the advertising. There's there's there's a strict reason that he's on all those State Farm commercials, and it's not because he sucks at football.
Speaker 1:I don't think he sucks at football.
Speaker 4:Mm-mm. Mm-mm.
Speaker 3:Not really. I I agree. It's Mahomes. As much as we don't wanna like it, I mean, it's who else who else is, like, remotely close?
Speaker 1:I wouldn't I wouldn't any of the quarterbacks in the AFC.
Speaker 4:Yeah. You know what? And to maybe get a different perspective into this, just just try to throw out a different idea because it is any of the quarterbacks. It's either Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Patrick Holmes. Just because of what's happened over the last couple years, maybe Travis Kelce, just because of the fact that he's brought in an entire new That's a fan base into I'm just throwing out a different perspective if you look at way that I'm thinking.
Speaker 1:Because in the pulp in the pop culture space, when they look at the NFL, the main thing is Travis Kelce because he's, you know, not at the hip with the biggest pop superstar in the world.
Speaker 4:That's all that's where my mind was going with it. I still agree Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen are definitely the main course because they're always on prime time television. Just bringing in a different perspective just because Travis Kelce has brought in another just an entire different world because of who he's engaged to.
Speaker 2:I do think though, if we're gonna if we're gonna, you know, add that caveat to, like, bringing in a new audience, I would say that Travis Kelce might be, like, some sort of vegan dish. Because it because it is I mean, not that He's
Speaker 1:the tofu.
Speaker 2:Yeah. Maybe maybe
Speaker 3:He's like green bean casserole.

Speaker 1:We think it's Pat Mahomes. Yeah. People that don't know the NFL are probably gonna know Travis Kelce more than any other player in the entire league right now.
Speaker 2:And Or if they're if they're Hailee Steinfeld fans, they hate watch Josh Allen.
Speaker 4:Yeah. Oh my gosh. I saw I like those. I've seen I've seen that on social media now where they're just, like, turning on him and it's
Speaker 2:What is that?
Speaker 4:I don't know. I don't Jealousy. It's complete jealousy.
Speaker 1:Jealousy from guys like us that thought we ever had a choice.
Speaker 2:It's it's it's her fans. Her fans hate him. They hate Josh Allen.
Speaker 1:Why do they hate? So they're protective.
Speaker 4:They they have accused him of being a cheater. He's they've accused him of being a cheater, that he's a liar and all this stuff. And it's like, if you've actually seen Josh Allen videos, he's actually, like, the sweetest human Yeah. Like, he is the best person, and he represents Buffalo to such a Absolutely. Different level.
Speaker 4:But I just wanted to throw out a different perspective into that. Throw in Travis Kelce because just because
Speaker 1:Yeah. I like that shout.
Speaker 4:He's brought a different perspective to this to the NFL.
Speaker 1:Alright. We can move on to the second part of this meal. We go with the stuffing. Kind of the second place goes along with the turkey, sometimes goes inside the turkey. I don't if you guys ever ever had this

Speaker 1:It's kind of the side dish, but it's like the main side dish. So who is who's the stuff?
Speaker 3:I exclusive on Thanksgiving, exclusive in succeeding in the regular season, not quite the best and can't get the job done, Josh Allen.
Speaker 2:Yeah. I I think this is gonna be a very, very close to close to our you know, stuffing's the runner-up, so it's gonna be the runners runners up to our turkey part. Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and possibly even Jared Goff, maybe Joe Burrow. A lot you know, guys that have lost Well, think

Speaker 4:Tried to think of, like, a different bit like, for what you guys said, second place side dish, it it is Josh Allen. But Cooper, you had me you had me thinking now with your description. What did you say one more time? You said something about, like, always on only on Thanksgiving.
Speaker 3:Only on Thanksgiving. Only six only exclusive on Thanksgiving. Only exclusive in the regular season against the I could've I could've said against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Speaker 4:I want you you throw that part of always on Thanksgiving. Why why does my mind wanna go to either Dak Prescott or Matthew Stafford? Because it's literally Matt before before the Super Bowl win, Matthew Stafford was only on national television on Thanksgiving, and it was only productive in the regular season.

Speaker 4:I that's why as soon as you gave that description of only on Thanksgiving was productive in the regular season and that's it, my mind right right went to Matthew Stafford before the Super Bowl win. Josh Allen

Speaker 4:were But, like, Matthew Stafford was a staple on Thanksgiving with the Lions. Like, that's where MyBye went to. That's where MyBye went to. Obviously, he went on to win a Super Bowl. He could potentially do that this season with the Rams, but you say staple on Thanksgiving.
Speaker 4:Joe Burrow talked about it in his press conference today that he was when he was younger, he would watch Thanksgiving days and watch Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson go for three hundred and four hundred yards and then watch them lose. I mean, Matthew Stafford was a staple on Thanksgiving for so many years here in Detroit. That's

Speaker 4:Exactly. Matthew Stafford did it for what? Ten, eleven years. He was literally that was the only time anyone saw him because the Lions were never on national television. That's my that's my piece.

Speaker 1:Definitely could have add mashed potatoes on more than just Thanksgiving, but they are still a Thanksgiving Day special. They're easy. They're good. They're consistent. You never, you know, are gonna forget about them.
Speaker 1:I would say he has consistently been good for so long, literally since 2015 when he entered the league. He has been so good. He just constantly just pounds the rock. Give me Derrick Henry.

Speaker 1:because for this, I was trying to think of someone that wasn't just hasn't just been consistent in this year, has been consistent basically across their entire which includes Mike Evans.

Speaker 3:And, like, I mean, you can't go wrong on just Thanksgiving with it. It can go with Christmas. You can make thanks you can make you can make mashed potatoes for pretty much any. Versatile. It's very versatile.
Speaker 3:Yeah. And Mike Evans is a deep threat, a slot threat, like, a screen threat if you really really if you if they really wanted to, especially his maybe even a jet sweep to get his a thousand yards last year. I mean, he could pretty much do it all.
Speaker 2:And, I mean, think about how versatile he's been. You know, he's he's played with how many how many different quarterbacks does he have? He he entered the league with
Speaker 4:no It'll be like it'll be another one this Sunday because I believe isn't Baker gonna be out? I don't know. Or we don't know. But but

Speaker 4:Well Especially this especially early on in this season with Derrick Henry, which is the fumbles. But he's but it's still he's still always been consistent. He's literally King Henry for

The defensive additions of Logan Wilson and Quinn and Williams and some of the undrafted guys are and I I feel like they're playing inspired football because of the whole Marshawn Neelyn thing. So I think Cowboys either cover or get the outright win over the Chiefs.
Speaker 1:I think the Chiefs are gonna cover here. Cowboys flying high off a really good Eagles win. I think they're gonna come out a little flat. I think the I think Steve Spagnola will have a lot to say about the Cowboys offense, and they'll stifle them in a little bit. I still do think it'll be, you know, a good game, pretty high scoring, but I think the Chiefs probably win, like, 27 to 23.

Speaker 4:I couldn't agree more. Ravens, Thursday night, I'm sure that crowd in Baltimore is gonna be electric. It's not like early season woes where they were having they got a lot of their guys back. Joe Burrow's coming back, but how much can he really be mobile on his toe and everything? So I think Ravens, they comfortably get a good win on Thursday night.

Speaker 2:I think the eagles had such a bad game, you know, vibe speaking against the Cowboys that this might, carry over into a, a game that they might take the Bears for granted. The Bears have been good. I mean Eight and three. I don't think they're eight and three good, but
Speaker 1:Probably not.
Speaker 2:I think that they can they can realistically win this game. I think at the very least, they'll keep it close. I got bears to cover plus seven.
Speaker 3:No. Eagles monster win. I don't think Caleb Williams is ready for how how ferocious that defense is in Philly right now. I don't think he's gonna I think this is a nightmare game for him, and the bears get crushed. Give me
Speaker 4:the Eagles. Eagles play they're gonna be pissed. They're gonna be mad with how that game ended. They'll come out, and they'll show why that they're one of the best teams in the NFL. So I think this is a bit of a reality check a little bit for the bears.
Speaker 4:They they definitely have the sched if they continue to play like they have, they can play themselves into the playoffs, but I think this is just a too big of a spot for them right now early on in this rebuild under Ben Johnson. So I think the Eagles cover, and they get a big win.
Speaker 1:I'm gonna take the Bears. This is a widespread for yes. I understand the, you know, the qualms that may people might have with the bears. I have a lot of qualms with this eagles team. In the month of November, they've you know, they have wins of 10 to seven, sixteen to nine, and then a loss of 24 to 21 to the cowboys.
Speaker 1:So I I don't know. I think the bears keep it within this number. Eagles end up winning, but seven's a lot for two teams that are eight and three. 01:00 on Sunday. The Texans heading to Indianapolis taking on the colts as we are about halfway through our time.
Speaker 4:I'll I'll really quick. Same reason for the eagles one. Colts come back. They get to play they get to play at home. They're gonna be mad with how everything went down in Kansas City.

Speaker 3:There's a one team that no AFC team wants to play in the playoffs. It's the Houston Texans defense. They are getting better. They're six and five. They're in the hunt.

Speaker 4:Out the out of the Jags just because the Jags are a really weird one, and this feels like a spot that they could let down. But at the same time, they also beat the Chargers thirty five six.
