Good morning and welcome

to your morning cereal.

Okay, good morning

and welcome to Thursday.

It is Friday Eve, we are so close.

And to be sure that we're

keeping it balanced here,

we are going to celebrate the fact

that today is National Grandpa Day,

celebrating the

patience, the perspective,

and the life advice that

was always delivered slowly

and very intentionally

as all the best grandpas

have done throughout all the ages.

Happy Grandfather's Day, give them a

ring, give them a hug,

or just take a moment to remember them.

All right, yesterday's

trivia answer, 65 million years.

That's not how old grandpa was,

that's how many years ago

the dinosaurs went extinct,

65 million years ago.

And now the essential

vitamins in your morning cereal.

Today's quote is from

birthday girl turning 24,

Caitlin Clark who said quote,

"Pressure is a

privilege," end quote, very true.

Feeling pressure, it's a sign that you're

in a significant role or you're facing

an important opportunity in life.

That means people are trusting you

or you have the

potential for growth and impact.

So look at that pressure,

look at it as a

valuable opportunity to excel,

not just a burden to be feared.

All right, that is enough from me.

Let's go ahead and pour in

The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins.

And today we are beginning

a new chapter, chapter 16,

which is entitled, "The More You Rescue,

The More They Sink."

Just the title of that hits home, right?

Well, Robbins opens

this chapter with a truth

that challenges instinct.

Helping too much can actually hurt.

She writes quote, "When you

rescue people from discomfort,

you rob them of growth," end quote.

And this applies to relationships,

leadership, parenting, and friendships.

Rescuing feels loving, but it

often keeps people dependent.

Robbins explains that

discomfort is part of change,

saying quote, "Struggle is not the enemy,

avoidance is," end quote.

When you remove every obstacle,

people never build

confidence or resilience.

So this chapter is encouraging,

letting people face natural consequences.

That doesn't mean you're abandoning them.

It means trusting them, quote,

"Support is different

from saving," end quote.

She reminds us that

growth requires choice.

You can't want change

more than someone else does.

When you stop

rescuing, people either rise

or they reveal where they are at.

Okay, here is your Thursday takeaway.

Growth happens when you stop

rescuing and you start trusting.

So today, remember,

wisdom isn't about fixing,

it's about knowing when to step back.

Now, the prize from the

bottom of the cereal box,

the morning cereal

trivia question of the day.

What is the capital city of Egypt?

I'm pretty sure you guys know that one.

All right, it's an easy one

before the hard Friday one.

We will see you back here

tomorrow for that answer

and more sugar for your soul.
