Genecia Alluora: Hey, gorgeous. In today's topic and episode I want to talk about does Valentine's Day trigger your money blocks? Or maybe any holiday or upcoming special occasions like birthdays, Mother's Day, whichever day that can be on a special occasion, trigger your money blocks. Now, why this episode is so far ahead before all the holidays? Because I want you to get ready and prepared for what's coming up for you, especially on all your special occasions. All right? So using Valentine's Day as a guideline, I want to share with you this. Valentine's Day can be full of love and sweetness and of course, roses. But let's face it, it can be also feeling lonely. And it might bring up all money stories about your self worth and your deservingness to receive all the emotions disappointment, resentment, fears, formal, shame.

Genecia Alluora: I mean, sorry to be a Genecia Alluora, but honestly, this is a way for you to excavate some old money beliefs. I know you are scolding me right now. Why Genesia is not even Valentine's day or any special day yet? Yeah, yet. So to be honest, gorgeous, any gift giving holiday is an opportunity to examine your money blocks. Like, I remember at school, I was not very pretty and I never got a rose from anyone. I mean, I had boyfriends who didn't believe in holidays or didn't believe in Christmas. And then I got together with someone now with my partner who still isn't totally in believing in giving presents. So doesn't matter. All these trigger my deservingness issues. Okay, so now over to you. What are your emotions around February 14 or 25 December?

Genecia Alluora: Whichever the date may be, or even 1 January, right? Do you get presents or not? Do you feel loved or not? Maybe you are somebody who is funny and who is rebel like a maverick who rebels against the idea of such a commercialized day and you don't believe. You're like, stop wasting money. But, you know, I'm just using this as an example to showcase the emotions that may come up because of this, because all of this emotional stuff feels so challenging. But I promise you it's going to be really good for your money. So I'm here to help. So let's talk about three money blocks that are perfect during this time.

Genecia Alluora: Money Block 1. Am I worthy? Now, worthiness is one of the most common money blocks and can impact anything and everything from your pricing to your invoicing. It can also manifest procrastination, especially if you are waiting for someone else to choose you. Now, Valentine's Day, Christmas Day, or any festive season comes with a heavy, heavy, heavy weight of worthiness of reminders, especially if you feel unloved. It's really common to grow up with a sense of needing someone else to validate your worth. Maybe your partner forgets to buy you a present. Maybe you feel unappreciated.

Genecia Alluora: Maybe you feel shame for wanting to be celebrated and disappointed that you are not. So before all the gift giving occasions, come, come, let's do some serious money work. Let's do these affirmations. I deeply and completely love myself. I deeply and completely love myself. It is safe for me to be celebrated. It is safe for me to be celebrated. How do you feel? Money Block 2. It's not okay for me to receive. Now this one come up for me big time. When I got to gather with my partner, I didn't feel deserving of spending his money or even money all that matters. So I never went to a single bridal store or a single place at all. I never go to anything that's fanciful. I will always consider about the money.

Genecia Alluora: So I wasn't in the space of receiving. I felt really uncomfortable with all the attention and all the love and the things that he wanted to give me or even buying a property together, doing things together. Or maybe you were told that growing up, it's better to give than receive. And this may show up for you in a lot of ways maybe it's hard for you to take compliments. Oh, well done. And then you'll be like, oh, don't bluff. Like you call bluff on the person who said well done to you because you can't receive the compliment. Or you hate receiving gifts because it feels awkward, it feels silly, or you feel guilty. So it's worth exploring whether there's an old money story around receiving lurking out there. Because practicing receiving the little small stuff, you can receive a lot more abundance. So let's do this affirmation together.

Genecia Alluora: It's safe for me to receive. It's safe for me to receive. I serve. I deserve. I serve, I deserve. I deserve to be rich when I add value to people's lives. I deserve to be rich when I add value to people's lives. And how do you feel now? Good. Let's go on to the next one, money block number three. I'm not good enough. Now, this is such a common one, and it really underpins all our money blocks. I'm not good enough. I'm not smart enough. I'm not rich enough. I'm not thin enough. I'm not pretty enough. I am not savvy enough. I'm such an old thing. I'm not tech savvy enough. Whatever. And combined with Valentine's Day Christmas Day Special Gifting days, it might just trigger all the old stories about how you're not allowed to have all the abundance, love and joy you desire.

Genecia Alluora: Now, if your Valentine's gifts or lack of reinforce that idea, it can really be hard and uncomfortable. Remember these three things you are a soul rich woman. You are a soul rich woman. You are a soul rich woman. You are infinitely valuable. You are infinitely valuable. You are deserving. You are deserving. You are loved. You are loved. And these two affirmations. I deeply and completely love and accept myself. I deeply and completely love and accept myself. It is safe for me to value myself. It is safe for me to value myself. Last but not least is to let it go. This Valentine's Day or any upcoming gifting seasons, spend some time reflecting on your old stories related to love and how it impacts your money, relationships, and creativity.

Genecia Alluora: Forgive your ex boyfriends or your old lovers, even your flings and your one night stands. Oh, come on. Burn some old love letters. Throw away. Release any shame, blame and resentment about love and give yourself the permission to receive. Guess what? You don't have to wait for someone else to make you feel loved and valued. So here are four things that you can do anytime. Ready? Number one, buy yourself some gorgeous flowers. Not the cheapest or marked down ones or those that's on sale. The ones that make your heart sing. Number two, practice receiving small things, like compliments. For example, let your friend pay for coffee. Let your friend buy you a meal. Breathe and receive.

Genecia Alluora: Number three, paid forward gift. A gift, compliment or surprise someone else random acts of kindness can give you the lift in your mood and usher in the abundance. Number four, practice asking for what you want. Hey, your partner ain't Theopactic or having some telepathy. Tell your partner that you like for breakfast in bed and show them the price or the piece of the jewelry you love. Ask and you shall receive or buy yourself.
