Dusty Holcomb:Thomas Edison watched as his factory burned to the ground. Years of work and irreplaceable ideas went up in smoke. Yet as he stood there, surrounded by the wreckage, Edison did not despair. He turned to his son and he said, go get your mother. She will never see a fire like this again.
Dusty Holcomb:It wasn't denial. It was clarity. He didn't waste energy mourning what couldn't be undone. The very next morning, Edison began rebuilding. That's the choice that every fall demands.
Dusty Holcomb:Falling isn't a failure, staying down is. The greatest lessons often come wrapped in the hardest moments. Success rarely teaches us anything permanent. Failure is a masterclass if you're willing to learn. And here's the thing, if you're humble enough to pay attention, someone else's fall can teach you too.
