Type B Knitting is a weekly knitting podcast for the Type B crafter. Sisters Veronica and Gosia chat about WIPs, yarn, test knits and the knitting projects that don't go as planned, because knitting is a journey, not about the finished garment. New episodes every Tuesday.
Welcome to Type B Knitting Pod, the podcast where two sisters yap about knitting. I'm one of the sisters, Gosia, and I love my nephew, the little telly-tubby. There's gonna be so much you need to cut from this, it's really unfortunate. No, that's hilarious. Oh my god. I literally took a screen. Okay, for serious. For serious this time, welcome to Type B Knitting Pod. The podcast where two sisters yap, yap, yap about knitting. I'm one of the sisters Gosia and I'm the other sister Veronica and this is gonna be a little yap sesh, a little update on what we're working on, what we're thinking about working on. Progress so far, kind of a nice check in, especially with fall coming up. That's a good time for knitting, fall and winter. Yeah, I feel like that's when I have the most of the progress and like feel like actually working on stuff because I'm kind of stuck inside. I mean it is. This podcast is a record of us not doing this summer as far as knitting goes. Hence the hiatus.
I mean also other things happen too but like we really had nothing going on, minus the test knits but yeah, and it's funny because after my test knit, I'm like, I don't want to work on anything and I haven't worked on anything since I had it done. I'm kind of talking about inspiration. I don't even know where to start. I don't even know what I feel like I'm starting to get the edge to want to work on something. But I don't know what like I don't know if I have any like pull yet. You know what I mean? Like do you ever have like, you work so hard on a goal? And then like, okay, let's say like you were you do some kind of sport, you have like a championship coming up and like you're working really hard towards something and then like you do it and like, that's a great achievement. But then like, you don't want to do that thing anymore. I don't know.
I don't know if it's very specific. Yeah, I think like a little break after that is warranted. I feel like especially since like you're coming right off of that test knit, so I totally get you not wanting to do literally anything. And again, it is summertime. It's been like 90 degrees in Illinois. So yeah, we we have not been knitting. With that being said, it is September. So I did order some yarn, which I'm very excited about. What did I even order? I honestly could not tell you. I don't know what type of yarn I ordered. But I remember me saying that I wanted to knit the Tyra sweater next by Ingrid and Gosh was like, why don't you not do that and not do it with the yarn that you want? And like, you know what? And you know what?
I'm gonna prove you wrong because I am knitting that next. So I bought drops cotton merino and yeah, I'm gonna be knitting the Ingrid sweater. My yarn is coming in on Thursday. So I get to start that. That's exciting. Yeah, I'm super excited. And I feel like whenever I have like an off day, like where I'm not doing anything after work, I'm always like, I've been like a little bored with myself recently. So I am really excited to get back into it. I just like literally have nothing in my stash right now that I could make anything with that I would want. So I'm like, I am not gonna start on anything until I get my grubby little hands on that drops cotton merino. But yeah, I haven't been working on anything for a while. It's been a nice kind of break. I feel like it is kind of nice to just take a breather and enjoy the things that I've had. But yeah, I'm excited to kind of get back into it. And I mean, Gosha has an exciting update.
I know we have not spoken. It's almost like Voldemort at this point. Bingo. We've kind of forgotten our abandoned child. Maybe it's more like Harry Potter. It's like under the staircase. We haven't really talked about it in a while. But Gosha did just finish a test in it. So what bingo square did you fill out? Um, I put it under trying a new knitwear designer because I thought that would be a nice little homage. Other than that, I don't think I've done much for my bingo. Like kind of Veronica mentioned after the test knit, I haven't been wanting to work on anything. So I think what my plan is, I don't really feel like knitting. But I do have an abandoned, like thinking about the bingo, I do need something for a finished and abandoned project. And it takes me back to a like tank top that I knit. It's like this really nice lace. I have it done. I did a stash bust for it.
And it was like in this like cream colored cotton yarn. But I don't want it in a cream. I want it in a like a fun color. So I do have natural dye. I don't know what it's called. Whatever the little bug. Conchineals? Conchineals? They're like red. Yes. Yeah. So I thought that would be fun to like use that. Use that for my stash. Do something new, dye it. Like we talked about in the last episode, once something needs buttons, it just gets abandoned and that needs buttons. I have not bought buttons yet because it was kind of like, well I need to dye it first. Once I dye it, that'll be my sweet little treat to like buy something for it. Then I'll know what color will be best for it because since I'm dyeing it, I don't know what color is gonna be. I kind of started the process where it's like you have to like dye it in some kind of bath first.
So like the color holds on better. So I think I'm gonna be doing a lot of like abandoned things first before I like start on something else. After that testnet, I also have so much yarn. Like my stash be looking crazy. So really kind of need to do that. Yeah, you do gotta do that. You know what's funny? I like during our hiatus, I was like, you know what? Let me like listen back to some podcast episodes. I'm like, I was bored one day to just like, since we were getting back into it, I was like, oh, you know what? Like, let me just re-listen to some and like, you know, get re-inspired to see what we talked about before. And I listened to the what we have in our knitting bag episode and I heard that I had a lot of buttons and I thought I had no button. So I'm like, thank God I listened to this because apparently I have a lot of buttons that I just don't know about. So I'm like, I do need to go through that and see because I also, my testnet does not have buttons on it. It's a cardigan and it does not have buttons.
And I was trying to convince my husband to not want buttons on it. Because I'm like, you're, you don't need buttons on this, right? I look how it was easier for you to like, listen back to a podcast episode, then go into your stash, go into your bag and find a series of buttons. I just didn't want to. I was like, you know, and I like wasn't even thinking about it. I was just listening to the episode and I happened to mention buttons. I was like, Oh God, I have buttons. But I think, so I was trying to convince my husband to not add buttons onto that cardigan. And I was like, I have an ounce of motivation to put buttons on this right now. So tell me if you want buttons on it right now or not. And he's like, Veronica, it's literally 90 degrees in our apartment because it's so hot outside. He's like, I'm not putting that cardigan on. Get it away from me. And I was like, okay, fair. And I'm like, it just might not ever have buttons. And he's like, okay, that's fine.
Oh, that was your one and only window. Yeah, I was like, that's literally your only chance to get buttons on this. And I'm like, other than that, I don't care about it. It's gonna be such an old project to me that I don't care if it has buttons or not. And that's gonna be your problem. tattoo cardigan. I haven't heard that name in years. Yeah, to be fair, I also haven't like blocked it fully. So I probably need to do that too. I steam blocked it, but I have not like, washed it. That's what I did with the rhubarb sweater. I just steam blocked it. Yeah, I need to like, properly block it. And that will be a problem for another day. Now that I like, know that I have the capability to steam block aka like I can just steam it with my iron and kind of burn myself in the process. Like I'm like, am I ever going to actually block anything again?
Because I have the cardigan number nine that I finished last year, or early this year, I don't remember that I have not fully blocked yet. Like it's only been steam blocked. And I've been wearing it a lot. And I'm like scared to actually block it because I'm like, I think it's gonna ruin it. Maybe this sweat from your body will help block this. Maybe, maybe I just do the like, put it in snow type blocking. That's to refresh it in for odor that doesn't block it. Well, I don't need to block it. I steam blocked it. So like, I'm just afraid of like, washing it to clean it. So I'm like, oh, I might just like put it outside in the wintertime. You know, I steam blocked it. Breathing on it really heavy. That's what that means. Yeah, what um, what projects are you do you have anything like in mind even right now? Or you're just like, I don't even want to think about knitting. So like, I didn't even know what I would work on next.
I definitely know I want to work on stash busting. I feel like my. Okay, so this is the thing. I want to work on something fun, you know, like stash bust, find a pattern, see what yarn I have. But in the back of my head, this little nagging voice that's telling me rap, sweater, bow, pair, wrap, sweater, yeah, time to work on it, wrap, sweater. So um, I almost feel like I should pick that back up. And then the only other motivation for that is then it's, it could come for a bingo. Because I do need to go back to the bingo. One of the squares was only have one whip at a time for one month. Yeah. And technically, I still have that in my progress or like in my bag for projects. Like that's still a whip that I have. Yeah. So it's almost like I have to do that. And then there'll be a knit until you have zero whips left. So it'd be one whip for one time now that I have literally nothing else. It's like this asterisk that I have next to all my other projects. Something sitting in my closet, literally in my closet in the deepest, darkest corners of my closet, it's just thrown in there in a tote bag. And it's been living there for I think two years now. Yeah, it would be nice like it would be a nice like mental load off of you to get that done because that's kind of how I felt with the triangle scarf. I was like, Oh my god, it's finally done.
Get this out of my project bag and it is kind of nice. Like currently, I only have technically one whip because I just need to lengthen the sleeve length on one of my cardigans on the Zosha cardigan. I just need a length in it. But I have to do it in DPNs, which is why you haven't done that yet. But yeah, technically right now because I like frogged the poncho rip. You're hearing it here first. I did frog the poncho because I just don't want to do that. Classic. I feel like my yarn that I buy at yarn cons are cursed. Like it's just meant to like sit in my stash for years because like I just used that yarn from the first ever yarn con we went to in my tattoo flash cardigan and then I used up the rest of it in like my scrappy like roomy raglan. So I'm like, it just like is never made with the purpose that it's bought for. So I'm like, I really think and I still have mohair from the first Chicago yarn con we went to that I have not done anything with. And now I have two more balls of mohair from the yarn con that we went to last this past year, that was supposed to be a poncho and is not going to be a poncho. So again, I just feel like it's like cursed. And it's like just meant to stay in my stash for years on years and like done nothing with it.
Yeah, I feel like it's because like when you go to these like festivals and conventions and things like you're very swayed by what you see there. So you just buy on impulse versus like, you and I are very much of like, I want this project. I'm buying yarn for this project. That's how I'm starting it versus like the vice versa. Yeah. But then what happens when you hate the projects? That's what happened with me with the poncho. I was like, Oh, I'm gonna buy this for a poncho. And then I'm like, I hate making poncho. But next year, I do want to I do really want to buy that bamboo yarn, that bamboo silk yarn and that like chartreuse green for a poncho.
And mark my words, I will make it because it's not like mohair. It's not like tiny, tiny, tiny. I can use like four millimeter needles to make a poncho and it won't be like won't take me as long. You know, no, because my mohair wrap cardigan is on four millimeter needles and on mohair and it's taking a million years. Yeah, but that's not like a cardigan. I just have to like, knit like a rectangle and then stitch it together. So like, that'd be easier. I guess. We'll see. I love how you're saying I hate ponchos. But also next year, I'm gonna make a poncho. I am curious to see if ponchos are still cool next year. You know, I'm like, maybe that's why I wanted a poncho because ponchos are very in right now. They're very in for the summer. Yeah, so but I do currently own a poncho that I bought in Portugal. So I'm like, God, I hope they're still cool because I do really like that poncho. You could still wear it even if it's not like trendy or whatever. I know, but I'm just curious if I like it because it's trendy or if I actually like ponchos because I've tried to wear ponchos before but it was like the ponchos that are like a rhombus. So it's like a triangle in the front and triangle in the back instead of like a rectangle. So I'm like those ponchos are maybe not my vibe.
I don't think ponchos are my vibe. I feel too restricted like a cocoon. I kind of like them. They're fun. Yeah, they're cute. Yeah, I think they're cute. But yeah, we'll see. That's my intentions for next year is to buy that yarn because it's like $80 freaking dollars. So expensive. That's insane. But saving up, I guess. Yeah. Also, the other thing is I was listening to another episode back and it was the Yarn Con one. And we were talking about how every skein of yarn there is like $30. And then I was like, what? And then I looked at my thing and I'm like, I have $60 of yarn just like sitting there and doing nothing. I'm like, how dare I spend that much money on it? I was like, what the heck? I can't believe I'm not freaking knitting this poncho. That sucks.
Kick yourself in the butt for spending that money and then just sits there. Yeah, I was like, wait, what the heck? I was like, I thought those are like 15, 20. And then literally, I said in that episode, like, yeah, every ball is gonna cost you around like $30. Like these were like 32 or something. I was like, what? I didn't double take. I was like, what? In life time here, the like cope, like no, it's totally fine that I'm spending this amount of money on this yarn. I just bought it. I love it. Yeah. I mean, it is super cute. But now it's just like sitting in my stash, unfortunately. So I'm like, you know, we do need to, you know, I'm not cutting my losses just yet on that. But I was like, Oh, that's a little painful to hear. I did not know it was that expensive.
I let myself do that. Yeah, I was like, well, bad financial decision. What the heck? That doesn't sound like me. Um, well, I kind of mentioned what my plan was for like bingo and like next projects. Do you have any plans? I know you mentioned. What the heck was that thing? Coach just saw my nido. But why is it like spiky? I've never seen a spiky nido. It's fun. I like it. Oh, it looks so sad. It's funny. It is. Have you seen the ones on TikTok where it's like a piece of cheese? And it's so satisfying. Just playing with a piece of cheese. Well, it looks like cheese, but it's not actually a piece of cheese. But yeah, I want, I want that one next. You want cheese. I want that one.
That one looks so fun to touch. Yeah, it is really fun to touch. Um, next plans. Yeah, I'm going to do that sweater. I literally go should I were just scrolling Instagram and we're going to do an episode on this where we're going to go through our DMS and look at all of the patterns that we've sent each other on Instagram because we've seen so many patterns that we like anytime there's anything cute. We send it to each other. Um, and I literally just saw a sweater that I think is super cute. And I might knit that next, but who knows? Those are famous last words, I feel. Yeah. Anything mentioned here, it comes to die and yeah, like never mentioned again. Harry Potter under the stairs.
Harry Potter under the stairs. I feel like, especially during wintertime though, like a lot of patterns like wintertime in the northern hemisphere, a lot of patterns come out. So I'm like that it's probably just gonna die in my, I was, did something really brave. Um, and I put myself on blast on our Instagram story and I showed everyone how I keep track of things that I want to knit and it's just a really big, scary spreadsheet. And someone really kindly suggested that I use the like Ravelry um, and like using like a Ravelry tool to kind of track that. And it's such a good idea, but I think my list is so long and daunting that like, I know it wouldn't in reality take me a long time, but something about the really chaotic spreadsheet is like really comforting to me. And I'm like, I know everything's in there, so I kind of just like it.
At least you have something organized. No, like that, that's so kind of somebody to be like, hey, I have a cute suggestion for you. You're like, no, for sure. Thank you very much. But um, something about this chaos. I think I should do the Ravelry run. The only, the only thing is like, I don't know how to use Ravelry. Like, I don't use it like, like, I don't know how to, I feel like a 75 year old person trying to use social media when I'm on Ravelry. I'm like, I don't know how this works. I'm so scared. I'm like, I know you can buy patterns on Ravelry, but I'm like, I don't know how to do that. So I always just go to the person's website.
I'm like, I don't know how to work this website. And like, it's really scary to me, which is so funny because like the interface of it is so old. Like, it's not very like high tech, like Ravelry is like very simple, I feel. Um, but something about it, I don't know. I'm just like, I'm scared. So kind of somebody to say something, I feel like, but I, you know, now you're hearing it from so many different channels to use Ravelry and not only me nagging at you, but like, hey, it's a great opportunity to like organize this night. You're like, no, thank you. No, thank you. Well, okay, how about this?
I think next year we do evil bingo and something on my evil bingo should be me using Ravelry. Yes. I feel like that should be it. I think that's a good one. Um, at least you organize your, uh, patterns in something. I'm just like, okay, they live up here in my brain. Oh, I'll just remember all of them. No, no, you won't. No, I forget about it instantly. Two episodes ago, I was talking about the Pomodoro, uh, knit, and I already forgot about it. Using the word organized is a really nice way to put it. I'm gonna share my screen really fast. This is what organized is. Like, it's really not. That's just a lot of links just everywhere on a spreadsheet.
It literally is just like links to like, you would think she organized like an, like, excel sheet just like in one column all the way down. It's three columns across. Yeah. Horizontally. Well, just scrolling a lot and just a lot of Linden hobby. Like, links I see, Ravelry. This is for yarn. Ravelry. She's using Ravelry, but it refuses on Ravelry.com. I see four different Ravelry links. Oh, wait, this one says most wanted. What, I guess what it, I want to see what it is. Oh, this is a really nice sweater. I should knit this. This is really cute. Okay, I would think like, if you're going to organize things on the excel sheet, at least organize it. Like, some, like, I would think you'd organize it a little bit. I don't know. This girl, you have a notes, but you can't tell what's what. Like, visually, I don't know. No, yeah, it's literally just links. Like, there's no, I don't know what stuffy means. Oh, like a stuffed animal. Oh, so cute. Swim wrap.
Mo. Hair. Top. What? Oh, Mo. Color work. Why are you yelling at yourself in this? Wait, where? See, girl, you don't even know where things are in your own spreadsheet. No, I don't. You're over here where? On the rightmost column. It says, fun color work. Oh. On yard tweed, cheap rag land. Fun? With some spice. Oh, I do like your little notes on here, though. This is cute. I love it. You should put it on your spreadsheet. Well, it's already in the spreadsheet. Wait, why is this over here? Oh, this is cute. I like this, too. This is cute. Well, at least you like everything on here. If only you knew what everything on here was. Well, you know, if only.
It's a shame. Can't win them all. Can't win them all. Yeah. One day. Again, evil bingo is me putting all of that in Ravelry. I get it, though, because I tried using Ravelry. What's really nice is they have a, hey, projects I'm thinking of, and like you can make a queue for yourself of like, hey, I want to work on this next, like, or this one, and you can put yourself little notes of like, hey, this stash was like, use this yarn. So I did that a little while ago. Um, and then I abandoned it. I forgot what I wrote in there. So I think the thing about my spreadsheet that I like, and the reason that I haven't used Ravelry is because Ravelry is for, I feel like patterns that you actually intend on knitting. That spreadsheet is just, I like this. I saw it one time. God knows if I'm actually going to knit it or not. And I'm okay with it just dying on this spreadsheet.
You know, I'm like, I don't actually care to like think about it a lot. I kind of just want to remember it sometimes. And I feel like that's why I haven't put everything into Ravelry because I know, I feel like I have a good sense of like, when I want to knit something, but I actually don't. And I feel like a lot of stuff on there. I'm like, I like how it looks. I think it's really cute when I'm 65 and like, maybe have admitted everything else. Maybe I'll go back to that spreadsheet and start knitting things. But like, that stuffed animal, that stuffed goose that I just showed you, like, I'm never going to knit that because I know it like needs DPNs, but it's super cute. And I want to remember it. So it's in the spreadsheet.
That's how I use Ravelry's like favorites. You can like like things and then it collects it in the favorites. And that's kind of where my patterns go to die. Sometimes I'll look through it just to like, I don't know, it's just like a little photo album. Just like remember the time. Wait, okay. So then like, I know you don't know what you want to knit next, but like, where do you think you'll most likely find that like probably Instagram? Like, is that where you find like, most of the patterns that you actually knit? I think it depends if I'm going off like, I just am looking for a vibe. I don't know. If I want a pattern to speak to me, I think I go on Instagram and find it that way. I think something I do want to do is like, I knitted the Evergreen sweater in like a really fun like colorful, like it like ended up striping really cool. I still have some of that yarn leftover, and I thought it'd be really cute to make like a tank top because that's like a three quarter sleeve sweater. So like a tank top version of that I think would be really fun. So knowing that, I think I would like to find a free like tank top pattern. So for something like that, I think I'll go on drops.com because they have like thousands of like free patterns. Or also Hobie has Yeah, they do. So like that I think I'd like search specifically for what I'm looking for. Otherwise, I just go off a vibe. And then I think from those sources, I'll find it on Ravelry and then save it on Ravelry. Gotcha. Okay. I think this sweater that I'm knitting right now is the first time I actually like went looking for a specific pattern for something that I really want that I feel like is like missing from my wardrobe. Like most of the time, I just see something maybe on like Instagram or Pinterest or TikTok or whatever. And I'm like, Oh, that's really cute. I want to knit that next. Like I feel like that'd be a good project. Yeah, I've like very rarely go out looking for something specific. Like most of the time, it's like, I kind of stumble upon it, which I which I kind of like, I think that's fun. It's more like spontaneous. Yeah, yeah. And it like inspires and speaks to you kind of in a different way. Yeah, I do really, really, really want to re knit the Shaq sweater. Like really bad because I love I think it's so cute. Like the pattern is so cute. I just am going to do it in a top down raglan. Like I'm not doing it bottom up. You're just going to vibe your way through it. Yeah, I am. I love to know how that goes. I think it's going to be so easy because it's like I just start a regular. Yeah, I start a regular raglan and then I just start with the charts. Like that doesn't seem that difficult to me. Please keep us updated on this very easy. Like, oh, I just have to add the chart.
Yeah, I already I've made a raglan sweater like a billion times. I just need to add a chart to it, which is going to be easy. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Okay, is that going to be your next project? Um, maybe we'll see. I don't know. Maybe. If you don't work on it and just say it's easy peasy, you can always claim it's easy peasy. Why do you think it would be hard? I don't know because like the way that the maybe chart was designed or the way the sweater is, you'd have like it it works for bottom up construction. I don't know. Be bold girl. Like try it out. Let us know how that goes. No, I think they give you the chart of like the full front panel, the full back panel, and the sleeves.
So like that's why I'm saying like I don't think it would be that difficult because the only thing I need to incorporate in that chart is increases, which is like fine. It's like I just add them. Yeah, like instead of working, because if I have the entire chart for the front, right? From like the collar to the bottom. Also I have another, um, like I have a done sweater that I can use as like a guide, which is also why I'm like I feel like I could do it. Okay. I don't know. It does not sound that difficult to me. Like it sounds really easy. Okay, I love delusion. Isn't that what this podcast is about?
Isn't that what knitting is about? It's just delusion. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. And then getting into it, realizing it was actually really hard. It's not worth it anymore. Not abandoning it. Find another easy peasy sweater to make. I know. What's like the hardest sweater you think you've ever done? Um, I think the mohair wrap card again. Yeah, that's right. Because it's like I started it when I would say I was probably intermediate and it was just like a lot of charts you have to follow at the same time. The pattern says it's for advance. Like they're not playing you. They're like, girl, just so you know, it's like, you know, know what you're doing here.
Okay. Yeah, I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever. I know what yarn is. I know what needles are. Like I can figure it out. And then, um, maybe that's also, I don't know. I figured it out here and there, but it was just like, that was one of the patterns where like even before starting it, I was reading through the pattern four or five times in a span of two, three days to like try to understand what this like designer is trying to say with this, like with what this means. Like we're not clicking. Like, yeah, it's not like it was, I don't know. I don't want to say like, it's not like it was hard, but it was just like hard to understand what to do next, if that makes sense.
And once you actually did, it's like, oh, okay, like kind of working this, like it turned out it's turning out cute and like how it like her pictures, but it's just like one of those things where it's like, I don't know, the wording or something was not clicking almost as if an advanced knitter would have had an easier time almost almost like that rating was for wasn't for nothing, you know? Yeah, not easy. I'll say not easy peasy lemon squeezy. I think one thing that I've realized about myself in knitting is that if the actual stitch pattern is so complicated that it's taking me an hour to get through one row, I'm out.
Like, I am not interested in these intricate like, I'll be good. I'm like, I am. I like color work. I like cables. I like stock net, but I'm like, once you start and maybe this will change, but I'm like, I can't, I just don't want to be doing all this hoopty loopy dado. Yeah, I'm like, I just don't want to be doing that. No, I love it. I don't. It's like, it's just the one yarn. You don't have to worry about like, switching over or whatever, but it's like, kind of like, do it through this loop instead of that loop. And look at that. You have a fun little twisty. I like it. No, the hardest pattern I've ever attempted is the Scribble Top by Rose Knitwear. And that is one of those where it's like, very much, um, like a lot of hoopty loopy dado.
Goopity goop. Goopity goop to get through like, a stitch. The Scribble Top by Rose Knitwear. I think I did, because you also have to do it in, um, like, lace weight. And I was like, oh, no, I don't like that. It's so cute. It's literally so cute. I love the texture on it. I think it looks so good. This would be really cute, super long. Is it like, a beach cover-up? Yeah, it's very like, hey, if you want the pattern, I got you, girl. I literally bought the pattern. I bought the pattern for that and for a cardigan version of this, and I never did it. Yes, I remember you buying this, and this was literally you, like, one month into knitting.
Yeah, so very bold, very ambitious. Yeah, very bold. Yeah, but that was definitely like, one of the hardest things I've ever done. Because I'm like, oh, I really don't like this. Like, this is not for me. I'm like, it looks gorgeous, very jealous of everyone who has the patience to sit through it. But I'm like, absolutely not, not for me. I could see us knitting for each other. Like, I'll knit you this, and you knit me. Like, the thing I don't like knitting, you know, you knit for me, and the thing you don't like knitting, I'll knit for you. Because that pattern looks fun, but I don't think I personally would wear it.
But I would enjoy knitting it. Hey, if you want to knit it for me. Maybe birthdays and Christmases are coming up. That's right. In the wintertime, perfect for a in beach cover up. They make sweaters made in the summer, and little itty-bitty beach cover-ups made in the dead of winter. That's right. Absolutely. And at least it'd be done for when you want it to actually wear it. That's true. I feel like we would have to start it now in order for it to actually be done. Because again, like, I remember we should do an episode where we revisit like a pattern that we, like, I should revisit trying to do something like that.
And I feel like you should revisit like a pattern that you're just like, oh, this is not my vibe. Like, I really don't like this. And we should, like, just talk it out during an episode and see how it goes. And just, yeah, reading the pattern. And it seems so easy, but we're just like, huh? Yeah, literally. Because there is one pattern in my collection that I love. But like, literally the first sentence, I bought it in the first sentence. I was like, I don't understand this. I'm never gonna knit this. I'm like, I literally don't understand what you're saying to me. And I think I've read, I've read the sentence to you and you're like, oh, no, it makes sense. Like you just gotta do.
And I'm like, girl, I literally don't know what you're talking about. I'm like, I could not, like, I can't imagine how to do that with my hands and needles. I'm like, I just don't understand it. The yarn doesn't bend that way. I don't know what you're talking about. Yeah, I'm like, I don't have three hands. Like, I don't know what to do in this situation. Okay, I like that. Next, one of the next episodes will do that. We're reading through that and it's a little riddle. Yeah. Can you figure this out? Literally. I'm just gonna be like, what? Well, I remember, I don't remember what Christmas it was, but we made, uh, like Christmas gifts where it was like knitted, knitting a, like, like, holder. And like, you and I were trying to work on the same, like, and it was like, kind of like, um, tables where you had to, like, move one of the stitches behind. Then you moved some in, in front of it. And then, like, you put the stitches on one of the other stitches and, like, Veronica could not understand what the pattern was saying to the point where, like, I made little videos for Veronica, little tutorials, explaining the four different patterns. And she's like, I don't know what this is.
I'm just not gonna do it. Yep. And then I ended, I ended up crocheting it instead. Yeah. It's still cute. It still worked out, but it was just really funny. Oh my god. Yeah, it was so annoying. I'm like, this is so dumb. And that's why I started my beef with Pearl Soho. I have, like, no actual beef. It's just that pattern was so hard and I really did not like it, so I'm just, like, one side beefing with Pearl Soho. I'm curious if that was before you did cables, like, if you would understand it now. That is after, no, that's after I did cables, because I've done brioche cables before, and I loved doing that. I thought it was so fun.
You're like, this, nah, I don't know. I don't get it. That's better. My issue is, like, doing that gobbledygook on, like, string, like, actuals lint. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think that's my issue. I don't like doing it on that. And it was cotton, too, which I find, like, I'm a very sweaty person, so working in cotton, like, the, like, thread, like, the yarn, does it move as nice? Well, um, what will I end up knitting? Who knows? But you might find out on our Instagram. Follow us on type b knitting pod.
