Show Notes

HubSpot's new page editor lets you describe a page to Breeze Assistant, edit text right on the page, and size the mobile view side by side. First thing to try: create a new landing page with Create with AI, using a real campaign goal.

Who it's for: marketers and content teams who build landing pages or website pages, Content Hub and Marketing Hub admins who manage themes, and Super Admins deciding on beta opt-ins.

Our research first covered this on September 21, 2026. Here's where it stands as of our Oct 31, 2026 check. HubSpot's fall Spotlight lists the landing page editor as in public beta. HubSpot's help articles on the new editor and on creating landing pages with Breeze Assistant (updated Oct 1 and Oct 2, 2026) list Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise and Content Hub Starter, Professional, and Enterprise, require a Super Admin beta opt-in and AI settings, and say only new pages work in the new editor. Our write-up said the editor reached all hubs and tiers including free, and loads automatically for supported pages. We couldn't confirm either.

What is Sidekick's What Just Shipped?

Sidekick's What Just Shipped is the fast, friendly way to keep up with HubSpot without reading every release note yourself. Each episode, AI hosts Rob and Dana take one feature HubSpot shipped and tell you where it stands right now: what changed, how it got here, who it's for, and what to do on Monday. Rob explains. Dana pushes back. Nobody pretends.

Every episode starts from Sidekick Strategies research on the HubSpot Updates page at sidekickstrategies.com and is checked against official HubSpot sources. If something isn't confirmed, the hosts say so out loud. Episodes run six to eight minutes, and new ones arrive five a week while we catch up on recent releases.

Dana (AI host): What if building a landing page started with a sentence, not a blank canvas?
Rob (AI host): HubSpot's new page editor lets you describe a page to Breeze Assistant, then edit it right on the page.
Dana (AI host): Stick around for the one rule about which pages can use it.
Narrator (AI voice): This is Sidekick's What Just Shipped, presented by Sidekick Strategies.
Narrator (AI voice): Your hosts, Rob and Dana, are AI.
Narrator (AI voice): The voices are synthetic, the research is real, and humans check every claim before it reaches you.
Dana (AI host): Hello again, and welcome.
Dana (AI host): Rob and I are AI hosts, and today's sources are HubSpot's help article on the new page editor, last updated in October, plus HubSpot's fall Spotlight.
Rob (AI host): Sure, and today I'm playing a hypothetical marketer on a lean team who dreads every page build.
Dana (AI host): Perfect.
Dana (AI host): HubSpot's Spotlight lists the landing page editor with pixel-perfect drag and drop, flexible styles, and Breeze Assistant helping you build.
Dana (AI host): Now in public beta.
Rob (AI host): Beta. Okay.
Dana (AI host): Why it matters: HubSpot says the new editor reduces the need to switch between tools or update theme files when making changes.
Rob (AI host): So where do I find it?
Dana (AI host): Go to Content, then Landing Pages or Website Pages.
Dana (AI host): Click the Create dropdown menu and select Create with AI.
Rob (AI host): And then I just type?
Dana (AI host): Breeze Assistant opens on the left.
Dana (AI host): You describe your page's goal, audience, and key details, then click the Send icon.
Rob (AI host): Give me HubSpot's example.
Dana (AI host): Create a landing page to promote a free ebook, with a professional tone, and a clear call-to-action download.
Rob (AI host): Oh, nice.
Dana (AI host): Breeze may ask clarifying questions, like how to handle images if there isn't a good match in your file manager.
Rob (AI host): What else might it ask?
Dana (AI host): HubSpot's landing page article says it can ask about the goal of the page, the intended audience, and the template to use or an existing page to clone.
Rob (AI host): And before anything goes live?
Dana (AI host): You review the generated page in the preview panel.
Dana (AI host): To change it, describe the changes in the chat box and send.
Dana (AI host): When you're happy, click Open in page editor in the upper right.
Rob (AI host): So it's a conversation, not a one-shot.
Dana (AI host): Right.
Dana (AI host): HubSpot says you can continue the conversation to refine the page before publishing, which reduces the time spent building pages manually.
Rob (AI host): What if I'd rather not use AI at all?
Dana (AI host): Choose Create from scratch.
Dana (AI host): Then clone an existing page, which works for landing pages only, start with a blank page, or use a template.
Rob (AI host): Now the editing. Is it really inline?
Dana (AI host): Yes. Click the text on the page and type.
Dana (AI host): To change font color, style, or formatting, use the text toolbar.
Rob (AI host): And sections?
Dana (AI host): Hover over the preview and click Add section.
Dana (AI host): You can describe the section for HubSpot's AI to create, or pick from Browse section layouts.
Rob (AI host): Moving them around?
Dana (AI host): Click a section, then use the Move up or Move down icons in the left toolbar.
Dana (AI host): Drag handles resize a section from the top or bottom.
Rob (AI host): And individual elements?
Dana (AI host): Click a section, then Add element, and drag the element into position on the page.
Rob (AI host): Can I ask the AI to change a finished page?
Dana (AI host): Yes.
Dana (AI host): Click the chat box in the bottom left of the editor and describe the change, like Try a new layout or Add a background image.
Rob (AI host): Huh, that's handy.
Dana (AI host): Now brand styles.
Dana (AI host): At the top of the editor, click Theme, then Edit theme, or click New theme to create a branded one.
Rob (AI host): What's inside?
Dana (AI host): Fonts for headings and body text, Colors for section styles and your primary, neutral, and accent colors, and Elements for buttons, forms, cards, and icons.
Dana (AI host): You can create up to four different styles for elements.
Rob (AI host): Wait, does a theme change hit other pages?
Dana (AI host): It does. HubSpot says changes made there update all pages using the theme.
Rob (AI host): Good to know before I touch it.
Dana (AI host): And it takes a permission.
Dana (AI host): Editing global content and themes needs the Global content and theme settings permission, and creating pages needs Edit and Publish.
Rob (AI host): What about the page name and URL?
Dana (AI host): Click More on the top right and select Settings.
Dana (AI host): There you set the internal page name, the page title visitors see, the domain and content slug, the meta description, the page language, and an optional marketing campaign.
Rob (AI host): Then Save settings.
George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Hey, it's George B. Thomas from Sidekick Strategies.
George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Full honesty, this is my AI voice clone, made with my permission.
George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): A new editor only pays off when your content team feels confident using it.
George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Sidekick's Content Hub training teaches your team to create, edit, and publish on HubSpot's CMS without depending on developers, from page editing to theme customization.
George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): People practice in the portal until they can make changes on their own.
George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Find Content Hub Training under services at Sidekick Strategies dot com.
Dana (AI host): Okay, mobile. HubSpot shows the desktop and mobile views side by side.
Rob (AI host): Can I edit text on the mobile side?
Dana (AI host): No. In the mobile preview you can only resize elements and sections.
Dana (AI host): To edit text or add and remove content, use the desktop view.
Rob (AI host): And hiding something on phones?
Dana (AI host): Click the Layers icon on the bottom right, then the desktop or mobile icon to show or hide an element.
Rob (AI host): My skeptic question.
Rob (AI host): Our research says the editor is available across all hubs and tiers, including free accounts.
Dana (AI host): HubSpot's help article lists Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise, and Content Hub Starter, Professional, and Enterprise.
Dana (AI host): A Super Admin must opt the account into the AI-powered landing page editor or website editor beta.
Rob (AI host): And our write-up says the rebuilt editor loads automatically for supported pages.
Dana (AI host): We couldn't confirm that for existing pages.
Dana (AI host): HubSpot says only new pages can be created and customized in the new editor, and existing pages, including drafts, stay in the legacy content editor.
Rob (AI host): What else blocks me?
Dana (AI host): Custom templates aren't supported, so use the legacy editor for those.
Dana (AI host): A Super Admin also has to turn on generative AI tools and Breeze Assistant access in AI settings.
Rob (AI host): And credits?
Dana (AI host): HubSpot says credits aren't required to create and customize pages in the new editor, and usage may require credits in the future.
Rob (AI host): Fair.
Dana (AI host): So here's your plan, hypothetical marketer.
Rob (AI host): Step one: ask a Super Admin to opt in to the beta and check the AI settings.
Dana (AI host): Step two: create a new landing page with Create with AI, using a real campaign goal.
Rob (AI host): Step three: fix the copy inline and move sections with the toolbar.
Dana (AI host): Step four: check the mobile view and resize anything that feels cramped.
Rob (AI host): Step five: publish now or schedule it from the Publish dropdown.
Dana (AI host): And save theme edits for when you're ready to change every page that uses it.
Rob (AI host): Lean team verdict: try it on your next new landing page, and leave existing pages in the legacy editor for now.
Dana (AI host): New page, new editor, old pages stay put.
