What is Gospel Portions?

Reminders of the gospel that was preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, that you may hold fast to the word preached to you.

Ryan Bush:

Thou, O Lord, art the thing that I long for. Psalm 71:4.

Ryan Bush:

It is not strange that we should long for our Lord. How could we help it? But it is surely the wonder of all wonders that he should long for us. For the Lord hath chosen Zion to be an habitation for himself. He have longed for her. Zion, poor fallen sinful Zion. Man, poor fallen sinful man, me, how fallen, how sinful, only he who knows all knows hath longed for me. Lord Jesus, help me to meet longing with longing, love with love. Thou, O Lord, art the thing that I long for. I will love thee, O Lord, my strength. Amy Carmichael.

Ryan Bush:

Why was I made to hear thy voice and enter while there's room, and thousands make a wretched choice and rather starve than come? 'Twas the same love that spread the feast that sweet ly forced us in. Else, we had still refused to taste and perished in our sin. Isaac Watts.

Ryan Bush:

Let me dwell in your tent forever. Let me take refuge under the shelter of your wings. For you, O God, have heard my vows. You have given me the heritage of those who fear your name. Psalm 61:4-5.
