Noon Hour Of Madness & Mayhem

Peaches and Viktor kick off this episode the only way they know how: immediately exposing how wildly different their life priorities are. Viktor opens by juggling peak dad chaos — working through lunch just to squeeze in an airport drop-off — while Peaches proudly admits he once walked to and from Big O Tires rather than spend six whole dollars on a ride. What follows is a brief but passionate debate on whether asking a friend for help is worth it, or if stubborn penny-pinching builds character (and calves).

From there, Viktor unveils what might be the most chaotic romantic surprise imaginable: a road trip where he repeatedly lies about the destination just to mess with his partner. Burley becomes Ririe. Ririe becomes Palisades. Palisades turns into Victor. Eventually, in the dark, over a mountain pass, the truth emerges — they’re in Jackson, Wyoming. Peaches plays the role of professional instigator, fully endorsing the psychological whiplash and suggesting Viktor somehow could have escalated it even further.

The story peaks with Viktor’s perfectly executed reveal at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, where a casual “read the sign” turns into a full-blown moment of excitement. Along the way, the guys dunk on Facebook comment sections, snow-obsessed Idaho Falls locals, and anyone complaining about a warm December. Peaches suggests anyone desperate for winter should simply drive to Jackson and physically interact with the snow until they feel better.

The episode is a fast, conversational spiral of dad logic, cheap-guy logic, small-town discourse, and relationship chaos — the kind of episode that feels like you accidentally sat down next to two coworkers who immediately start oversharing, and you’re better for having listened.

This is the Noon Hour of Madness and Mayhem. What's up, Peaches?

Nothing much. What's going on?

Oh, you know, just, uh, the multitasking o- of doom. It's what I got going on here. Trying to knock down tasks, gotta take my daughter to the airport later on, so, you know, working through lunch so I can get out a little early.

There's a thing called Uber.

Yeah, but that, that's not nice when you have a dad, that could drop you off. And I wanna be able to tell her goodbye, not just, "You get." [laughs]

When I got my snow tires put on my car, I had to walk to Big O Tires and then walk also, you know... Well, walk away from Big O Tires, then walk back to Big O Tires.

Why didn't you call for a ride or something?

Man, I, I didn't wanna pay the six bucks.

No, why didn't you go like, "Hit me up"? Was I here?

You, you, you would've been busy or something.

Well, maybe. I, I don't know when you got them put on, but, uh-

It was, uh, like, that one Friday we had off recently-

Oh

... forgot exactly when.

Okay. I might've been busy then. Yeah, 'cause I had, uh, I think Tara over, as a matter of fact.

No, the Friday a couple weeks back. But never mind, never mind.

Ah. Well, uh, last Friday was, uh, pretty busy. We got out early that Friday as well. Company party was fun. Um, ended up going to Jackson, like you were asking me about, off-air. I had the big surprise I'd been talking about for Becca. Took her to see Ian Muncy at the Million Dollar Cowboy bar.

And we were joking around, saying that, uh, you were gonna take her to Burley.

Yes. And I kept telling her, "We're going to Burley." Now, once we did not head the direction of Burley, she figured out we're not going to Burley.

[laughs].

So then I was like, "Well, okay, we're going to Ririe." And she's like, "Come on, we're not really going to Ririe." And I'm like, "All right, all right, we're not really going to Ririe. We're, we're going to Palisades." And then, uh, we just kept driving, and it kept becoming a new place, depending on how far we've gone. "We're going to Victor." And then we ended up in Jackson, it was dark, going over the pass, you know?

Like, driving over the pass, thankfully, it was, uh, pretty good conditions. I can't imagine having to drive that if it was icy.

Yeah, I saw a thread on Life in Idaho Falls. Some guy posted, uh, "Is this unnaturally warm for December?" I, I didn't even bother to read it, 'cause I, I just know for a fact it was gonna be filled with, "Where's the snow?"

Oh yeah, there's, there's a lot of those posts going around. So, there was snow up on top of the pass and in Jackson. Um-

You hear that everyone who was wanting snow? Go up there and shove your face in it.

That's right, go to Jackson. There's snow. You can see it. Um, but my plan worked out perfectly. We rolled into Jackson. I took the route that pulled us right in front of the, uh, Cowboy Bar. And I was like, "Check it out, it's the Million Dollar Cowboy bar." And it's all lit up, you know? And she's like, "Oh, that looks really cool." I'm like, "Well, read the sign." And then she just freaked out. Yeah. She was very excited.

You should've put like a fake sign or some-
