OK Solberg:

I wanna again welcome you to The 405 Coffee Break, guys. Get your cup of coffee, glass of iced tea bottle of water. Let's see what's happening. Spring Wheat $5.21 a bushel. 550 pound steer calf, $4.14 a pound. Butcher hog in Iowa, 59¢ a pound. And a 100 pound fat lamb in Billings will fetch you $2.02 a pound. But guys, there's more, much more.

OK Solberg:

Okay. I'm gonna start out this program with a Bible verse. It comes from Proverbs 17 verse 22, and it says, a joyful heart is good medicine. Ah, yes. A joyful heart. You know, of course, that that is the goal and intent of this program, to cause or create a joyful heart in the listening audience. I don't know how I'm doing, but that's the goal.

OK Solberg:

So what is it that creates joy or happiness? Of course, the list is numerous, but what I have found on the negative side in life is that people dislike tests. They don't like to take a test. Unless they know the answers, then a test is fun. Though, believe it or not, a test can bring joy if you know all the answers.

OK Solberg:

You know a joyful heart. So today, I'd like you to picture yourself on a game show. Alright? You're on a game show today. And, Johnny, tell them what they could win.

OK Solberg:

A new car. It's a 2025 Porsche nine eleven. Retail price, a $122,095, not including tax and shipping. Okay. Here's the test.

OK Solberg:

Here's a trivia quiz, and let's see if you can win that car. Question number one. On the Andy Griffith Show, what was the name of Andy Taylor's young son? Question number two, the Beverly Hillbillies struck it rich when they discover discovered oil. What did they call that oil?

OK Solberg:

Question number three. In Green Acres you remember Green Acres. Right? Green Acres is a place to be. In Green Acres, what city did Oliver Wendell Douglas move from to become a farmer?

OK Solberg:

What city? Question four. On the Andy Griffith Show, who was the bumbling but lovable deputy sheriff? If you miss that one, I'll pray for you. Question number five, what kinda animal was Arnold on Green Acres, and what made him special?

OK Solberg:

Next question, question number six, What instrument did Andy Taylor often play on the Andy Griffith Show? Now this is a really difficult one, so I'll give you a multiple choice. Was it a trumpet, the tambourine, a clarinet, a xylophone, or a guitar? Question number seven. On the Beverly Hillbillies, what was the name of the banker who was always trying to keep the Clampetts money in his bank?

OK Solberg:

Question number eight. What was the name of aunt B's best friend known for her gossipy ways on the Andy Griffith Show? What was her name? Question number nine. What actor played both Jed Clampett on the Beverly Hillbillies and the voice of the dog duke in Beverly Hillbillies commercials in later years?

OK Solberg:

What was his real name in real life? And finally, question number 10, what was Gomer Pyle's famous catchphrase on the Andy Griffith Show or later on, Gomer Pyle. What was Gomer's famous catchphrase? Okay. How'd you do?

OK Solberg:

I hope you won the car. Check it out. On the Andy Griffith Show, what was the name of Andy Taylor's young son? We all know that was Opie. The Beverly Hillbillies struck it rich when they discovered oil.

OK Solberg:

What did they call it? Black gold, Texas tea. Either one makes you a winner. In Green Acres, what city did Oliver Wendell Douglas move from to become a farmer? We know that big city is called New York City on the Andy Griffith Show who was the bumbling but lovable deputy deputy sheriff?

OK Solberg:

Sheriff. If you got this wrong, I'll pray for you. Barney Fife. What kind of animal was Arnold on Green Acres and what made him special? Well, we remember.

OK Solberg:

He was a pig, and he acted like a human. He watched TV, went to school. You remember Arnold. What instrument did Andy Taylor often play on The Andy Griffith Show? That one's almost as easy as Barney.

OK Solberg:

Okay? It wasn't a xylophone. It was a guitar. On the Beverly Hillbillies, what was the name of the banker who was always trying to keep the Clampetts money in his bank? We remember mister Drysdale.

OK Solberg:

What was the name of Aunt B's best friend known for her gossipy ways on the Andy Griffith Show? Did you get this one? Clara Edwards. What actor played both Jed Clampett on the Beverly Hillbillies and the voice of the dog Duke in Beverly Hillbillies commercials in later years? We know that man's name in real life to be Buddy Epsom.

OK Solberg:

And the final question, what was Gomer Pyle's famous catchphrase on the Andy Griffith Show? Did you get it right? Well, golly, the game is done. How'd you do? It's by the honor system.

OK Solberg:

If you say you got them all correct, then you will have won a car, a 2025 Porsche nine eleven. The dealer should have them shipped in on September 31. So until next time, as you go out there, remember now, don't be bitter.
