What does the "I'm not interested" sales objection really mean.

Well, it means they don’t understand what you do.
Or that they need more time to grasp what you are saying.
It means they don’t think you are worth their time, even though they have a need for what you offer.

It may mean that they will have a need in the future but don’t see the value in meeting with you now.
It might mean they will have a need in the future, but don’t feel it is worth mentioning to you.

It could mean that they have a need for what you offer, but will pick other providers to speak to. You just don’t seem worthy.
It might mean they will have a need in the future, but not now.
Or, that they have no need now or in the future

The least likely reality when you hear "I'm not interested" is that they are truly not interested.

If you treat "I'm not interested" as a true statement and respond accordingly, you are leaving a lot of money on the table.
