What is The Hot Dish?

Former U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp and her brother, KFGO radio talk show host Joel Heitkamp, engage in animated discussions with newsmakers, elected leaders, and policymakers who are creating new opportunities for rural Americans and finding practical solutions to their challenges. Punctuated with entertaining conversations and a healthy dose of sibling rivalry, The Hot Dish, from the One Country Project, is informative, enlightening, and downright fun.

Heidi Heitkamp: [00:00:00] Hello Hot Dish listeners. This week we're doing things a little bit differently because it's our fourth annual Rural Progress Summit. The Rural Progress Summit is a virtual event that aims to highlight the vital role rural communities play in shaping America's future.

The summit brings together voices from across the country, and our keynote this year includes a fireside chat with Secretary Pete Buttigieg, a great friend of rural America, but also a great friend of mine. Go to ruralprogress.com to learn more. Or follow the links in this episode to register for our summit. If you haven't registered, you still can!

To accommodate the Summit, instead of our normal Wednesday release. We're going to give you a taste of what the Summit was like on Friday instead. Stay tuned. Hope to see you soon.
