Plenty with Kate Northrup

Are our children losing their connection to personal power and mental well-being due to the pervasive use of phones?

In this deeply personal episode of the Plenty Podcast, I dive into the impact of phones and social media on children’s mental health and development. Inspired by a recent compelling article in The Atlantic, I talk about my views on the disturbing trends in adolescent mental health linked to screen time. I share my practices to limit screen exposure and call for community agreements and support to delay phone and social media use among children. I encourage the importance of unsupervised outdoor play and the need for myself and all parents to regulate their nervous systems to support their children’s optimal development.

Despite today’s cultural narrative, this episode will have you thinking about your own kids and phones. Let’s dive in.

“If given the option to get off, the kids all wanted to get off, but they didn’t feel like they could because of the disconnection and social ostracism of not being on there.” – Kate Northrup

Good evening, fragrance fanatics. I'm Chaz Stinkwell, your nose for news in the aromatic world of fragcom. Tonight, we delve into the pungent drama brought to our attention by Sweet Milk, who highlighted threats from George Zaharoff. Here at the Frigate Files, we wanna illustrate how Zaharoff has decimated his own case in this video. If you recall our expose where we asked, who is Joey Cannoli?

Speaker 1:

As a result of being a viewer of TLTG's channel and having him be suddenly heavily pushed on us by Ross himself, Our thesis was clear. Joey Cannoli had no relevance in fragcom or YouTube at large. Yet, for reasons beyond comprehension, he was treated as an equal to Curly Sense, Justin Copeland, and TLTG himself. In our investigation, we discovered Joey Cannoli raw, a channel that is unsurprisingly another failure. This isn't even his first flop.

Speaker 1:

He's been lingering on YouTube for over a decade. We boldly stated that Joey Canole was a failure and that it made no business sense to build a fragrance around him. In this very clip, you confirm what we put forth to the world, that Joey Canole is a fragcom and YouTube failure. Every claim we made was backed up with clips of evidence coming directly from your mouths. Let's be clear, George Zaharoff.

Speaker 1:

You hang out in the biggest cesspool in Frag Com. So it's safe to say, you don't have a problem with lowbrow, below the belt conduct. You just have a problem when it's directed at you and your gang of miscreants. And the thing about your top tier choice of companions, you play with shit you're going to smell like it. And George, your scent trail is unmistakable.

Speaker 1:

His public meltdown underscores the necessity of maintaining a consistent and reputable image. Something he seems to have lost in the perfume aisle. The fragrance community has been quick to notice the irony. Marketing yourself as a luxury brand while consorting with Frag Com's equivalent of a circus sideshow featuring freaks and oddities? Bold move, George.

Speaker 1:

Special thanks go to the ever vigilant Reddit user, Sweet Milk, our fearless shill exposer. Sweet Milk's keen nose for nonsense has been instrumental in unmasking this fragrant fiasco. And as the internet so wisely puts it, and how sweet that milk is. Now let's address the real heart of this saga. The reason we've been shining a spotlight on Joey Cannoli is his glaring irrelevance in fragcom.

Speaker 1:

Despite this, he was somehow given a fragrance collaboration for a scent charmingly named Triple x. So let's not play games, Zaharoff. You're not filing a lawsuit over our comments and videos because you don't wanna take away our beer cans and curtains. You simply don't have a case because there was no defamation or slander. We simply asked questions and provided evidence to support those questions.

Speaker 1:

We never suggested people not buy your product. We never questioned the quality of your product. We simply asked why. You might fool the morons you're surrounded with, but you're not fooling the experts here at The Frigate Files. We know how the real world works, and it's funny to think that we still own a little piece of rent free real estate in that paranoid mind of you when it's been a fucking year since we've mentioned you.

Speaker 1:

We'll continue to track this aromatic adventure and bring you every juicy update. For now, it seems George Zaharoff's attempt to defend Joey Canole has only solidified our stance. Joey Canole's relevance in frag comm is indeed, as we've reported, nonexistent. I'm Chaz Stinkwell reminding you to stay snarky, stay fragrant, and stay informed. Now if you'll excuse me, it's back to mai tais and fat asses.

Speaker 1:

Stinkwell out.
