What is WORDTheatre® Weekly: A Short Story Podcast Where the Best Authors & Actors Meet...?

Each week, WORDTheatre® shares a brilliant short story performed live in LA, NY or London by a great actor, usually with the author in the room to hear their story being brought to life. Two little stories by the extraordinary Brian Doyle who passed away in 2017 after battling a glioblastoma, a horribly agressive type of brain cancer. He left us so many brilliant stories and here you will hear Angeline and The Lair, performed by Julian Sands (one of WORDTheatre's favorite performers, a brilliant, passionate talent who tragically passed away just weeks after this performance) & Fred Melamed respectively. These stories are both published in Doyle's posthumous collection, One Long River of Song. Antonique Smith closes our holiday episode with a performance of O Holy Night!
