Speaker 19:The here's a topic to talk this week in the end of the show. The new mine they're gonna build out the road. Did you hear about that?
Speaker 2:No. I have not. Don't know who
Speaker 19:They're gonna build an okay. Well, they're gonna build a new mine out the road in Juneau. It's called the Amalgam Mine. What it's gonna do is they're gonna be harvesting stuff on a private road that goes way out, kind of, between Echo Camp, Boy Scout Camp, you know, all those stuff way out Uh-huh. By way out the road.
Speaker 19:And it's gonna be a private mine owned by a a Canadian company, and they're gonna be running 72 large truckloads of, like, ore and other minerals to the new Cascade Ferry Point, which is gonna happen anyway for the mining operations.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 6:But, you
Speaker 19:know, that's basically gonna be a nonstop traffic out there. It's gonna turn that hole out the road, which most people look as real quiet and peaceful. Mhmm. It's gonna turn that section actually into an industrial mining lot of traffic. So I really hope people are paying attention to that and chiming in because we have a voice in what goes on.
Speaker 19:It's our town, but this mine is gonna be big. And once they build a mine out there, they're aiming to have 72 truckloads daily
Speaker 5:Oh.
Speaker 19:Go back and forth, hauling huge amounts of ore, kicking up dust, kicking up pebbles, the traffic, the noise, the pile driving, all that. So, please people chime in and and read about this.
Speaker 4:Alright. It's really important.
Speaker 2:Okay. Community, please chime in and let us know what you think about that. Amalgamind is privately owned. If you were trying to get in touch with me and I was on that call, please come oh, there we go. Here we go.
