Daily(ish)

I talk about the tagline for the show—recording an episode every day for “my 50th year on the planet”—and acknowledge that Jeremy Cherfas quickly pointed out it’s technically my 51st year unless I’m Superman.

I edit podcasts so you don't have to. I live in Saskatchewan so you don't have to?

What is Daily(ish)?

Challenging myself to record a podcast episode a day for my 50th year on this planet.

Chris: Hello and welcome to
Dailyish for August 24th, 2026.

I'm recording an episode every day
for this, my 50th year on the planet.

So I knew it wouldn't take long, as soon
as the words came out of my mouth that

I just said to you that I'm recording
an episode every day for this, my 50th

year on the planet, that someone would
correct me because technically it's

actually my 51st year on the planet.

And I'm thankful to say or happy to report
or bitter, no, I'm not really bitter,

uh, that Jeremy Cherfas over on Microblog
replied within a day of me launching the

podcast that, uh, it is of course my 51st
year on the planet unless I arrived from

Zor-El on my first birthday like Superman.

So either this podcast accidentally
revealed that I am Superman

or I misspoke in my hurry to
define a tagline for the podcast

And in this case, I think we all know
what the right answer is, and I don't

need to clarify any further at all.

But thank you, Jeremy, for helping me
get over that hump and just say, " Too

bad, this is my 50th year on the planet."

Even though it's technically
wrong, I, I do know or believe

and trust that it's wrong.

But for the purposes of this podcast
and that tagline, at this point

anyways, I am going to continue
saying my 50th year on this planet.

I apologize I guess that's a trigger
warning, content warning, whatever,

for future episodes of this podcast
that that will most likely continue

But pedantry, is that how you say it?

I don't even know how to s- now
that I've read it, but I don't

know how to say it out loud.

Pedantry sounds funny
coming out of my mouth.

But future pedantry notes are more than
welcome for the podcast, even when I

misspeak or say something obviously
stupid or whatever and don't edit it out

More than happy to hear from you.

Email me chris.enns@gmail.com

with the episode number that you're
listening to, what I said, and how

you would correct it in the future.

Or just reply on any social
network where you see me posting

this, and that'll work too.

All right, that's it for now.

Thanks for listening.

Hope you have a great day.

Bye.
