Welcome to the AHRN Minute. My name is Jenny Nielsen, and today we're talking about the SpouseWorks Scholarship and how it can help military spouses grow their careers.

Formerly known as MyCAA, the SpouseWorks Scholarship provides eligible military spouses with up to $4,000 in financial assistance for education, training and professional credentials.

One of the biggest changes to the program is that eligibility is no longer tied to the service member’s rank or pay grade.

Spouses of active-duty, National Guard and Reserve service members in the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and Space Force may qualify.

The funding can be used for licenses, certifications, associate degrees and continuing education courses required to maintain a professional credential.

So whether you’re starting a new career, building new skills or maintaining an existing certification, the SpouseWorks Scholarship could help make your next step more affordable.
