I edit podcasts so you don't have to. I live in Saskatchewan so you don't have to?

What is Daily(ish)?

Challenging myself to record a podcast episode a day for my 50th year on this planet.

Hello and welcome to Dailyish
for September 13th, 2026.

I'm recording an episode every day
for this, my 50th year on the planet.

First of all, I owe a big apology
to Void and Cozy, not Void and

Crazy, as I said their username in
the previous episode while thanking

them for giving a one-time donation.

I will endeavor to get most people's
usernames right, but especially

when you send me cash monies.

So thanks for calling me out on my
mistake, and I'm sorry for implying

you were crazy instead of cozy.

Although you have to admit that Void
and Crazy also makes for a pretty good

username as well Last episode I talked
about Apple TV series, and today I just

wanted to mention briefly a HBO or Crave
here in Canada series called Lanterns.

It's about Hal Jordan, the Green
Lantern, set in the DCEU, DC Universe,

whatever, alongside Superman and
Supergirl movies that came out this year.

But it's such an excellent show
that stands on its own, even if

you don't really give a rip about
superheroes and superpowers.

It's very light on the super powery stuff.

Watching the latest episode of Lanterns
has been our Sunday evening viewing

for part of our family anyways.

The younger two not for
so much for some reason

And just a quick episode tonight.

Left it until late Sunday, but
wanted to end with a quick thought

coming out of a conversation I
had with a friend earlier today.

You just never really know what someone is
going through, either themselves directly

or in their extended family, so just try
to give grace to each other as you go

about your day in the world this week.

And I'm sorry for those of you who
struggle with the Sunday scaries.

Depending on when you listen to
this, you may be dreading work

or school coming up on Monday.

Did you know that the Zeigarnik,
that's probably not pronounced right,

effect, Zeigarnik effect, named after
Lithuanian Soviet psychologist Bluma

Zeigarnik, Zeigarnik, Says that people
remember unfinished or interrupted

tasks better than completed tasks.

So maybe now you'll think about me
pronouncing Zeigarnik, Zeigarnik instead

of the tasks that are unfinished.

I should also note that according
to Wikipedia, the reliability of

the effect is controversial, with
studies having mixed results.

Thanks again for your support, whether
ongoing on Patreon or via the one-time

donation link, like Void and Cozy did.

I love your feedback or questions.

Feel free to reply to this wherever you
saw me post about it on social media, or

send me an email at chris.enns@gmail.com.

There's been some more, dishwasher
follow-ups, so I'll try to get

to that in the next episode.

Thanks for listening.

Have a great day.

Bye.
