Greetings and welcome to WORDTheatre Weekly: The Short Story Podcast where great authors and actors meet! My name is Willow, and I’ll be your host this week. I’m a Literary Research and Events Intern here at WORDTheatre, a recent graduate of Emerson College, and when I grow up I want to continue working in Literary Arts.
Our newest show, The Ocean: Our Liquid Universe debuts this weekend at The Wilderness Festival in Oxfordshire, England. For this week’s episode of WORDTheatre Weekly, we’ve got two more ocean stories to celebrate the debut of the show.
This week, you’ll have the pleasure of listening to “Maybe Mermaids & Robots are Lonely” by Matthew Fogarty and “Water Names” by Lan Samantha Chang. “Maybe Mermaids & Robots are Lonely” was performed by Willie Garson, who starred in the television show Sex and the City. The story “Water Names” was performed in 2009 by Di Quon, who has appeared in the films Grown Ups and Maid in Manhattan.
Please note that WORDTheatre holds the copyright to these recordings and no portion of anything you hear on WORDTheatre Weekly, our short story podcast may be reproduced without permission.
Here now, is “Maybe Mermaids and Robots are Lonely” and “Water Names.”
GARSON AND QUON PERFORM THE STORIES.
Again, you have just heard “Maybe Mermaids and Robots are Lonely” by Matthew Fogarty and “Water Names” by Lan Samantha Chang.
