Welcome to Wake-Up Call for the Soul with Bill and Wendy. Hi Bill.

Bill Frase 0:05
Hey Wendy.

Wendy Frase 0:07
Well, today we are going to talk about, who are we really? Because most of us, Bill, have no idea of our true identity.

Bill Frase 0:18
Identity is one of my favorite topics, so I'm really excited for this, this episode, to dig in a bit more on who we really are.

Wendy Frase 0:27
Excellent. And you love talking about identity, true identity, so much that you wrote for us a short story. You have many short stories on Wake-Up Call for the Soul blog, and I just want to read a condensed version of this story. Bill will be reading his full version of the story in this podcast. Check it out. It'll probably be episode 12.1, and he'll give a little commentary as well.

Wendy Frase 0:59
Here is the story by Bill: We're like royal babies born into wealth, power and privilege, who have been kidnapped by bandits and traumatized to believe that we are worthless and undeserving creatures. We are raised as pathetic, groveling slaves of the thieves' wretched leader, living in a filthy underground cave while the king and queen, the entire court and every knight and squire search far and wide to rescue us. While the kingdom's forces search, they also broadcast messages everywhere to let us know that we are loved and cherished beyond our understanding, and to let us know about our royal inheritance.

Bill Frase 1:50
I guess we can think of this episode as an expression of Divinity's efforts to rescue us, to help us to recognize our true identity as royal heirs of Divinity, to help us claim our infinite inheritance of life and Love. And so a lot of what we're going to be talking about here are things that, in my experience, most people have no idea of.

Wendy Frase 2:19
Yes, that sounds great. So in this episode, though, we're going to talk in terms of our true identity.

Bill Frase 2:25
This is, this is kind of the core overarching concept of identity that informs, then the specifics that we're going to be digging into as we go throughout this episode. In particular, of course, Bill likes his definitions.

Wendy Frase 2:41
Yes, me too.

Bill Frase 2:43
So, I have, for the purposes of this episode, defined identity as who we are and not who we think we are. So, for me, we are beings made in the invisible image of Divinity with the capacity to become more and more like the One from Whom We Come.

Bill Frase 3:04
And one of the stories that has become very popular on the planet over the past 150 years or so is this idea that we human beings, in terms of our essential nature, have actually evolved. And this is a lie. People have confused material evolution with spiritual beingness, assuming that they are one in the same. So, in terms of our spiritual natures, we are not creatures that evolved from lesser forms. We enter into this world in a state of purity and light. Anything within us that appears to be impure is something that got attached to our pure beingness after our incarnation. So, everything impure that we carry is a temporary - you can think of it as a - parasite or a plaque that will eventually fall away as we step more and more into the truth of who we are as children of Divinity. And so this is my attempt at describing our core essence or identity in as simple of terms as I possibly can. And I don't expect everyone to believe me. There's all kinds of stories out there that are intended to convince us that something else is the case, that we are something less than pure and pristine when we come into this world through our actual incarnation into biological vessels.

Wendy Frase 4:26
No, I totally agree with that, Bill, because I always felt, even before I met you, that we enter into this world pure, good little babies coming in. That's who we are, but that is the thing, we think we are something we are not, and we put all these labels and ideas, and those are just human what's the word you use? Fabrications of the human world. So, very simple, identity, who we really are. Which we're trying to get a sense of here.

Bill Frase 5:00
And we have in our own ways, denied certain facts of our identity, or we have been misled in those respects. And then we have taken on things that are not ours to take on - false identities, false ideas of who we are, concepts, words.

Wendy Frase 5:17
And now it's where it starts to get really interesting, anatomy of being. Honestly, it's probably only within the last maybe two years that I started hearing these more distinctions, which is very helpful to me. So, first in our anatomy of being, you want to talk about the material body.

Bill Frase 5:39
So for me, that's the biological organism that is our physical material vehicle for moving around on this planet. Very simple. I'm trying to start with things that people are really familiar with here.

Wendy Frase 5:52
The material body. Then we have the material mind.

Bill Frase 5:56
So the material mind is the organizer of perceptions of our biological senses, and I'm using the words limited related information. For example, words, ideas, concepts, beliefs it's capable of perceiving or believing. So this limited related information, it's capable of perceiving or believing. These things are all in terms of material, biological, sensory experiences. But then those things, the words, the ideas, the concepts and the beliefs, shape what we actually sense, what we are consciously aware of through our sensory apparatus. They create filters. They create walls. So, there are things we can't see because we have concepts that say those things don't exist, for example, through our biological apparatus.

Wendy Frase 6:45
So we're sort of putting our mind in a little box. And we talked about this, I feel like in one of the first episodes with facts and beliefs. Is that right? Because we the way we think, what we believe, the concepts that we digest, that's the material mind.

Bill Frase 7:00
Yeah, human language is very limited, and a lot of our thinking in the material mind, if you think about your thinking, it's words, and words have meanings that we place on them, and those meanings do not incorporate, as we discussed in Episode Number One, the fullness of the beingness of that to which those words point. We tend to think separately. We tend to take something that is part of a whole and break it up into parts.

Wendy Frase 7:31
Okay, and then we get into the spirit body.

Bill Frase 7:34
So the spirit body is the more subtle form that exists independent of the material body with potentials for receiving and transmitting many things that are beyond the material body's capabilities. And, for example, these can be things like healing or psychic abilities, things that appear not to be dependent on our biological senses and even the ideas and concepts that we have.

Wendy Frase 8:01
I mean, a lot of times we think spirit body, or I do. I'm trying to wrap my head around this, ghosts, or maybe if your spirit leaves your body, I don't know, sleep state, those kind of things too?

Bill Frase 8:16
Yeah, the spirit body is the body...

Wendy Frase 8:18
Where is my spirit body? Now? Is it inside me?

Bill Frase 8:21
Well, it's kind of inside, but it also extends beyond...

Wendy Frase 8:25
Okay,.

Bill Frase 8:26
...our what we consider to be our biological frame. It has these energy centers that are referred to as chakras. So it has its own, its own anatomy that is different from our biological anatomy. For example, it does not need to digest material. So it doesn't have a digestive system, like we have a digestive system or an excretory system that looks like ours. It operates differently, and it's more, you could call it, I think sometimes people will refer to it as the astral body, or the etheric body too.

Wendy Frase 9:01
So is this something that stays with us when we die?

Bill Frase 9:06
Yeah, when we transition into spirit, one of the things that goes with us is what we're calling here, the spirit body.

Wendy Frase 9:12
But that is with us currently as well. Okay, all right, then we have the spirit mind.

Bill Frase 9:17
Yeah. So the spirit mind is the mind that's part of the spirit body that has capacities far beyond the material mind to perceive, receive and transmit much more of the multi-layered nature of reality and to express things far beyond the more limited capabilities of the material mind. Again, it's this reflection of the spirit body has a greater multidimensionality to it than the material body does, and therefore the spirit mind also exists in a broader bandwidth of frequency, perception and expression.

Wendy Frase 9:51
So we can tap into the spirit mind, because we have it now, so we should be able to tap into it now?

Bill Frase 9:58
Right, we've been traumatized and indoctrinated to ignore this. A lot of people, this is a very undeveloped aspect of their being. There are some people where this, this aspect is very highly developed, actually, people with great imaginations, great scientific minds, who were able to receive a lot of information through this body. For example, people like Einstein and Tesla, these were people with highly developed spirit minds.

Wendy Frase 10:28
And you could argue even that children come into this world because children sense things. They pick up on things. They perceive things. So they're more in tune, probably to their spirit mind than a lot of us.

Bill Frase 10:40
Oh, yeah, yeah. It kind of gets tamped down over the course of all of the...

Wendy Frase 10:44
because the magic, you think about, the magic with children and everything, is filled with awe and wonder and emotions too,

Bill Frase 10:53
Yeah, and so in the spirit body, in the spirit mind, you have a lot, a lot more access to right, feelings, perceptions, emotions.

Wendy Frase 11:03
So, now we go to the soul, and we're going to talk about the soul, and then the soul mind. But what is the soul?

Bill Frase 11:10
Yeah, soul is the spiritual essence of who we are. It is the invisible image of the Divine Over-Soul that is our true being and identity. So, this is actually our core selves, and in most people on this planet, this is our least developed aspect. Most people have very little to no soul development on this planet, which I can't believe I'm saying that, but that's my perception of it.

Wendy Frase 11:38
Okay, because a lot of us think more in terms, if we're going to move away from the material mind and the material body, even though we don't, not everyone calls it that, they're going to tap into things of the spirit body and the spirit mind versus the soul and the soul mind.

Bill Frase 11:58
That has been the tendency in human beings under the conditions that exist on this planet is that most people have been focused on developing their material minds in this...

Wendy Frase 12:10
intellectually, and we value intelligence and smarts and figuring things out and knowing where if we're right or not.

Bill Frase 12:19
Yeah,

Wendy Frase 12:20
And then the spirit body, spirit mind, pick up more on those subtle perceptions,

Bill Frase 12:25
Yeah, intuitions, psychic awareness, foresight, healing...

Wendy Frase 12:29
Even psychic ability and all...

Bill Frase 12:31
Right.

Wendy Frase 12:31
Okay,

Bill Frase 12:31
telepathy, even probably certain forms of empathy. I'm sure a lot of empathy is very much in the in the spirit mind and spirit body as well. But the soul is this, for most of us, really undeveloped aspect of being that is actually the core or essential self, our true identity, and that this is the part of us that looks or appears, even though it is not visible, like the One from Whom We Come, who in this series we call Source or Divinity or Creator.

Wendy Frase 13:07
Yeah, this is actually very helpful, Bill, spelling all this out for me, because I feel like I'm even learning some stuff now, even though I'm aware of all these things. But you make an interesting distinction. So that's the soul. What is the soul mind?

Bill Frase 13:21
Soul mind, so it is an aspect of the soul that has these vast capacities in most people - almost entirely untapped at this point in humanity's journey - for perception, for knowing the truth of and about creation, all of it, all of the multi dimensional awesomeness that is, everything that exists. And also because it is in the likeness, the image, the invisible image of Source, it has the ability to actually know Source, progressively more and more throughout eternity, possibly if that soul so chooses. The soul mind is kind of this part that's capable of being aware of all these things, and then also though expressing the truth of these things, the truth, the reality of them. So, receiving, perceiving, but also expressing and emanating. Yeah, and so the scope of these things that the soul and the soul mind can express, know is way beyond what the spirit mind is capable of. And a lot of people, they're very satisfied. People who have developed their spirit minds, it's so awesome at that level of what they can know and perceive that they don't even realize that there's this whole other deeper or higher or more central aspect of ourselves that has capacities that are far beyond what the spirit body and mind are capable of.

Wendy Frase 15:01
Well, that makes me think what you just said, because sometimes we get to the point where our lives are so great that we don't want to progress, or we don't want to change, or we don't want to grow, because, boy, we've made it where we are. And I can think of that materialistically too, material body, material mind. We hear that a lot of people with a lot of money or success aren't really happy, but there are those people that are and if you are happy and you have material abundance on this planet, I would think life would be pretty great, and it would be hard to look into and progress. But then those of us that perceive and are comfortable and even, oh, I say myself, finding a simple life and simple pleasures to enjoy nature and all this, but, but we need to take this next step, I feel like you're saying, of going on to the soul, the soul mind, and that's where you get the big money, the real connection with God.

Bill Frase 16:01
Yeah, it is the soul. It is really only the soul that can perceive who Source is. Who can know Source.

Wendy Frase 16:12
Yeah.

Bill Frase 16:13
More and more progressively throughout all of what we call eternity.

Wendy Frase 16:17
So, we don't want to stop. We don't want to stop at even progressing our spirit body, spirit mind.

Bill Frase 16:26
No, I'm not recommending that.

Wendy Frase 16:27
No, no, no. So these also, this is very, very interesting to me. I feel that you're on to something. That sounds silly, I know, but, but, no, this is good stuff. Bill, are these your definitions you've come up with by, you know, I'm curious where you have found this, or where you have developed this?

Bill Frase 16:55
Yeah, so, I mean, some of this has been developed through my own experience, but I've also been exposed to channeled messages that have come from, say, Angels of Divine Love. I think we talked about that in our last episode, and I'm not that kind of verbal channel. So they've come through friends, associates of mine, that have helped to clarify these things. So a lot of these have come through in that way. And I'm planning in this episode to include a link to a particular message that talks a lot about these aspects of being, where I did get some of the clarity, even in terms of my languaging, of that for this particular episode. What's been interesting for me. So I've been on this conscious, spiritual journey here for a quarter century, and I was aware, in my own way, I guess, of my material mind and material body, although I didn't have those distinctions quite the same way. And then what I learned about first, almost 30 years ago now, was the soul. That's really what I learned about. And it wasn't clear to me until the past couple of years where I'm like, wait a second, there's this missing piece. And the missing piece was really, I mean, I was aware of the spirit body, but the mind aspects of these, and that there are these, all of these aspects that are intended to work together, because we've just defined all these things, right? But they're not separate. They're all meant to work together as a whole in harmony.

Wendy Frase 18:17
They're all good. They're supposed, we're supposed to have a good material mind, a good material body. Yeah, because that works to benefit these other things.

Bill Frase 18:26
Right. And and a big part of our challenge on this planet is that we have been so hyper-focused on material body, material mind, that the spirit mind and the spirit body, in most people are highly neglected. There's the awareness is increasing about them over time. But the the areas that are super neglected by most people are soul and soul mind. And you know, when you think about it, most of our beingness, if, if these definitions reflect our beingness, I mean most of our beingness are things that are not really material, or at least not material in the way that we think of materiality, and also the relative importance of these parts, I think, is based in their relative materiality. And I guess another thing that I want to include in here is the fact that all of these parts are, in their own way, trying to communicate with each other, but because we've got this musclebound material mind - God bless our beautiful material minds, that they work very hard; they're doing their best - but they are, in their own way, having a very hard time picking up on what the spirit mind is sending them and what the soul mind is sending them. The spirit mind and soul mind are constantly sending information to the material mind. And the material mind in its current condition in most of us, most of the time, is either not hearing these things, blocking it out, denying it, ignoring it, and whatever is getting through usually, is pretty highly distorted. So the soul emanation could be X. And it comes out as XYZ, 1234561.

Wendy Frase 20:05
Well and we even throw these words around, like, Oh, that's a coincidence, or oh, he's just lucky, or things like that too. But maybe everything's really working together, because you said the soul mind, the spirit mind, they are sharing perceptions with the material mind. It's just we're not, we're not picking up on it, or we're not paying attention, or we're not trying to pay attention.

Bill Frase 20:27
Well, and we're most of us are largely unaware that any of these things are even happening at all. So part of this episode is awareness, right?

Wendy Frase 20:35
Awareness? Yes,

Bill Frase 20:36
Hey, hey friends, listeners, you have all these parts, and they're all trying to work together, and part of what we're doing here on this podcast is inviting people to those ideas that may help us to allow all these aspects to come into their higher functionings and their more integrated abilities to work together harmoniously.

Wendy Frase 21:00
Yes, because things are much bigger and better than we even imagine. We're grander than that.

Bill Frase 21:08
Yeah, and I guess what I'd put in here too is that it's important, I think, or it's another metaphor for thinking about, we'll talk in terms of these major aspects, material, spirit, soul. So the operating frequencies of these various aspects of being, they are different, right? So the the material aspects is kind of lower and lesser. It's like a shorter frequency or wavelength, bandwidth, whatever you want to call it. And then when you shift into the spirit. The spirit is wider, so there's more available, and it has some overlap with materiality, but it's taking in a lot more then you bring in the soul, and the soul has this much wider, higher, multidimensional ability to take in information and to express it. And so we are really operating from this very narrow bandwidth.

Wendy Frase 22:03
Like a pyramid or an iceberg.

Bill Frase 22:07
Yeah, right, yeah,

Wendy Frase 22:09
The small part, the medium part, the wider part. It gets bigger, a triangle. Bill.

Bill Frase 22:13
Okay, yeah, so part of what we're sharing here is just this idea that that we have all of these aspects. We have these capacities, these capabilities that we, through the trauma, the indoctrination of our lives in the fabricated world of human invention that we've been taught to deny, to ignore, to suppress, and we have been created to embody this kind of humble greatness, but we continue to live like we're something other than these powerful beings of light and love, truth and beauty that we have actually been created to be.

Wendy Frase 22:58
Yeah, Bill, this is so exciting, because I love this term of the wide open spaces of God, and I feel like this fits in really well with what we're talking about here, because Source, Divinity, now you're even saying we as human beings are more vast and great and expansive than we can even imagine, sort of like when we imagine Source. We can't imagine Source, but we as human beings are this way as well.

Bill Frase 23:33
Right, we cannot imagine our own awesomeness, our own greatness. We can't...

Wendy Frase 23:38
soul, our spirit, our...

Bill Frase 23:40
Every person that I'm aware of on this planet at this point, we have next to no clue of our actual potential. And I think that think people tend to think of potential as having a ceiling sometimes, but our true potential, like if we actually engage in those practices that help us to develop, particularly at the soul level of our being, those possibilities and potentials, so far as we know, are limitless. The possibilities for progress are unlimited. We're never going to get to a place if we engage in that journey of soul development where we're going to hit a wall or a ceiling where it says oh, here and no further. Can't go past this barrier. Far as we know, there are none. Yeah, so I guess one of the themes of this whole episode, as I'm thinking about it now, is that a lot of what we are inviting listeners to experience or to become more aware of, are all of these subtle aspects of our being, of our true identity.

Wendy Frase 24:48
So really, I think the takeaway for me is that we, deep down, we're good human beings that are connected to Source, and we need to get back to that.

Bill Frase 25:04
Right. That's we're on this journey back home in our own way, where we've taken on all these things that were never ours, but they were presented to us as this is who you are, this is the way the world is, and this is how you have to play this unpleasant game. And episodes like this, I'm sure to a lot of people, they sound Pollyannaish or that, oh yeah, sure, whatever. But I feel it's important to put this stuff out there, because a lot of people, they don't believe this stuff is true. They don't know that this is true for themselves, and this, in our own way, is what we're trying to get back to, and then to even move beyond that.

Wendy Frase 25:46
This is all very possible, returning to Source, returning to our deeper souls, returning to our identity, that we are made in the image of Divinity, and that is where we came from.

Bill Frase 26:03
And that is where all of us, whether we know it yet or not, are attempting to return.

Wendy Frase 26:09
Well, in this episode, Bill, we've shared a lot about identity. As you said, who we are. And I love all the definitions that you gave. We talked about material body, which is our biological organism, the material mind, which is the organizer of the perceptions of our biological senses. The spirit body, which is this more subtle form that it exists independently of the material body. The spirit mind, the mind that is part of the spirit body that has capacities far beyond the material mind to perceive. And then we went into the soul, the spiritual essence of who we are. And the soul mind, that part of the soul that has these vast capacities for perception and knowing the truth of creation and Divinity in even a greater scope and detail. I really like these definitions that you have put forward today, and I look forward to hearing what we talk about in the next episode.

Bill Frase 27:17
Yeah, this episode is kind of the foundation. I want us to have a foundation of more of reality, so that when we get into our next episode, which is going to be a lot about error and distortion, how these things enter into our awareness and perception, and how it is that the fabricated world actually works at the internal and interpersonal level of our existence. That's really kind of what we're going to be digging into into our next episode here is what are the hidden gear works of the fabricated world of human invention that we, in our own ways, are perpetuating without even knowing that we're doing it?

Wendy Frase 27:58
Well, that sounds good to me, Bill. It's been nice chatting with you.

Bill Frase 28:03
Always a pleasure.

Wendy Frase 28:04
Until next time.

Bill Frase 28:05
Until next time. Thank you so much for listening to Wake-up Call for the Soul with Bill and Wendy. We look forward to you joining us next time.
