The day before rehab read

Yes, the Lord has done
amazing things for us.
What joy.
Some hundred and 26 verse three.
This is a story about what can happen when
you listen to the holy Spirit's prompting.
literature evangelist.
Paul Bodo had a divine encounter
with Kevin the day before Kevin
was shuffled to go into rehab.
Paul was ready to head
home to Busselton w a.
He had been working in Perth
for the last couple of weeks.
And today was his last day there.
If all went according to plan,
he would be home by sunset.
At 3:00 PM.
He received a call from Marylene Stevenson
who worked in the literature evangelism
ministry department at Adventist media.
Did you get the email I sent this morning?
She asked.
A young man named Kevin.
Had been listening to Adventist
radio station, faith, FM.
And he wanted some information
on children's Bible stories.
He had called Adventist
media for assistance.
Marylene then contacted Paul,
wondering if he or someone else
could help Kevin with his query.
Paul had received the email, but
he hadn't intended to respond
until he got home to Busselton.
However, he now felt the holy
spirit prick his conscience.
And he decided to give Kevin a ring.
As it turned out, he was able
to meet up with Kevin in person.
And not a moment too soon.
It was Kevin's last day free before
he was shed jeweled to go into rehab.
Kevin was raised a Christian.
But fell into a bad lifestyle
and began using drugs.
Shares Paul, when he was 17, he had
a relationship with a 43 year old
woman and they had a child together.
His child is now almost two years old.
And his ex is making it
hard for Kevin to see him.
Kevin wants to clean
up his act for his son.
During their discussion.
Kevin unexpectedly asked Paul if
he was struggling with anything.
God has blessed me to help others.
He explained, how can I help you?
God has already used you to bless me.
Paul told him.
I was tempted not to contact you today.
And I could have missed this opportunity.
Kevin showed a strong
interest in spiritual topics.
Commenting.
The devil's going to impersonate Jesus.
One day.
Paul had no difficulty in deciding
which books Kevin needed, the great
controversy and desire of ages.
I'm not much of a reader
confessed to Kevin.
I don't think I've ever
read books this big.
But he took the books along with
some Bible stories for his son.
Kevin's spent the last of
his savings on the children's
Bible stories, reports, poll.
He'll be in rehab for
the next year and a half.
I have his phone number and I've
been sending him encouraging text
messages and morning devotions.
I hope to enroll Kevin in some Bible
studies from hope channel so that he
can continue to learn more about God.
But the most important thing I learned
from this experience is to never ignore
the promptings of the holy spirit.
You never know what divine
appointments God has in store for you.
Kevin is not his real name.
