אֲרוֹמִמְךָ ד' כִּי דִלִּיתָנִי, וְלֹא־שִׂמַּחְתָּ אֹיְבַי לִי:
Hashem, I will exalt You, for You have raised me up, and not allowed my enemies to rejoice over me.

But, Hashem, through your favor You supported my ascent to power. You hid Your face, I was terrified.

אֵלֶיךָ ד' אֶקְרָא וְאֶל־אֲדֹנָי אֶתְחַנָּן:

מַה־בֶּצַע בְּדָמִי בְּרִדְתִּי אֶל שָׁחַת, הֲיוֹדְךָ עָפָר הֲיַגִּיד אֲמִתֶּךָ:
What benefit is there in my silence, in my descent to the grave?
Can dust confess to You? Can it proclaim Your truth?

שְׁמַע ד' וְחָנֵּנִי ד' הֱיֵה־עֹזֵר לִי:
Hashem, Hear me and be gracious to me, Hashem, be my support!

הָפַכְתָּ מִסְפְּדִי לְמָחוֹל לִי פִּתַּחְתָּ שַׂקִּי וַתְּאַזְּרֵנִי שִׂמְחָה:
Only You can transform my mourning into dancing, Only You can untie my sackcloth and gird me with joy.

לְמַעַן יְזַמֶּרְךָ כָבוֹד וְלֹא יִדֹּם, ד' אֱלֹקַי לְעוֹלָם אוֹדֶךָּ:
So that the glory could sing to You forever and never be silent. Hashem, my God, I will thank you forever!
