What is Morning Cereal?

Good morning, and welcome to Morning Cereal!

Good morning and

welcome to Morning Cereal.

Okay good morning and

welcome to hump day.

That's Wednesday.

In the event you didn't already know that

was a nickname for Wednesday.

Well either way today is

also National Sugar Cookie Day.

So we really can just stop right there

unless it's also National

Chocolate Chip Cookie Day.

No, no, okay.

My people are telling me it's not.

Well let's munch into our quote for today

from someone who knows about eating boxes

of sweets.

Here's a little wisdom from Tom Hanks who

said quote, "If it

wasn't hard everyone would

do it.

It's the hard that makes it great."

End quote.

It's simple, it's honest

and it's classic Hanks.

And it's a reminder that the struggles

you're having they're

not a sign you're failing.

It's proof you're doing

something that's worthwhile.

Alright well today's news facts and

birthdays are for July

9th and we're going to start

back in 2001.

That's when the Office Mockumentary

created by Ricky

Gervaisis and Stephen Merchant.

Well it premiered on the BBC 2 in the UK.

And then lastly in 2023 the fantasy

comedy film Barbie

starring Margaret Robbie and Ryan

Gosling.

Well it premiered at the Shrine

Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Well happy birthday to you.

If today is your birthday you share a

birthday with Fred Savage.

He's the actor from

the Wonder Years right?

He's 49.

Next rocker and songwriter Courtney Love

she's 61 today and

everybody's father figure Tom

Hanks he's 69 today.

Well the number one song on this date

back in 1986 was "Holdin'

Back the Years" by Simply

Red.

This is one of my favorite songs from the

80s because it's just such a smooth it's

got a laid back vibe with an emotional

pull to it really and

it actually hits a little

harder now that I'm older.

Well the song earned a Grammy nomination

and I love this song.

Alright well for the book review today

I'm going to suggest

"Try Quiet" by Susan Cain

and it's a tribute to

introverts everywhere.

Perfect for those who recharge at home

and not at parties and

as a self-proclaimed and

actual introvert this will be added to my

list of must read books.

Well whether you're baking cookies or

just repeating to

yourself that you're "k'nuff"

remember life's sweetest moments often

come in small bites.
